The Next Day.
"Mommy. You home!" Ella said running to Kate as she was coming in the door.
"I am home my sweet heart." Kate smiled putting her bags down and picking up her daughter and twirling her around giving her kisses.
"I missed you so much Mommy." Ella said wrapping her legs around her.
"I missed you too. Where is your Dad and brother?" Kate smiled pushing her bags out of the door and putting them by the stairs as she was caring Ella in her arms.
"In there." She pointed to the living room. "They playing their game shhhh."
"They are playing video games huh?" Kate smiled.
"Yeah. We ate breakfast in there too shhhh."
"OK shhh. What did you eat?" Kate whispered.
"Daddy made us eggs." She giggled.
"Were they good?" Kate smiled bopping Ella's nose.
"Yeah." She giggled as Kate put her down and she ran to play with her toys.
Kate went into the loving room seeing Seth and Jaxon on the couch shirtless playing a video game.
"Hello you two." Kate said.
"Mommy! Mommy!" Jaxon smiled running to her as she smiled and picked him up giving him hugs and kisses.
"HI my special little man. I missed you." Kate smiled as Jaxon gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"I tissed you Mommy." He giggled.
"You did." Kate laughed. "Did you have eggs with ketchup?"
"Yep it nummy." He said patting his bare belly.
"I thought so I got ketchup kisses." She smiled tickling him then getting a baby wipe to clean off his face as he giggled and wiggled in her arms. "Hello to you too." Kate said to Seth as she leaned down and gave him a soft kiss.
"HI baby. How was your flight?" Seth asked as Jaxon crawled over to the middle of the couch.
"It was alright. Tried to get in a nap on the plane but couldn't." She said getting comfy on the couch.
"Been a long few days huh?" He asked.
"Yeah you could say that." She said watching the kids playing.
"Katie you alright what's up?" Seth asked.
"Nothing we'll talk later. You've got the kids for a little bit longer so I can shower?" She asked.
"Of course baby. I actually am not gonna head into the gym today." Seth said.
"Oh really? Are you sick?" She joked.
"No." He chuckled. "We cleaned the gym yesterday so it's all ready for the next class that will be coming in a few weeks. So Mark and I decided to take the next few days off."
"I like that idea." She smiled as he leaned into kiss her again.
Kate sat their a few more minutes enjoying the fact that she was home. She then went upstairs and took a shower trying to relax.
That afternoon was spent getting things done around the house. Kate caught up on laundry and cleaning. Seth also did a few things around the house that Kate had been asking him to do for a while now. They also spent some much needed quality time as a family just the four of them.
Later that evening the kids were playing in the living room while Kate was making dinner.
"Smells good baby. What are you making?" Seth asked wrapping his arms around her.
"Grilled chicken and sweet potato fries." She giggled as she felt his hands on her.
"Sound delicious like you." He said kissing her neck.
"Rollins you are something else." She giggled turning the chicken over.
"Hmm what can I say my wife is sexy and I missed having her in bed with me." He said in between his kisses to her neck.
"You know I am trying to make dinner." Kate giggled trying to move towards the oven.
"I know." Seth chuckled kissing her neck a few more times before letting her go. "So I ordered that swing set you sent me last night. It's really nice and I can put it out in the back yard since the pool fence is all done now." Seth said sitting at the bar stool.
"Thank you. I know the kids are gonna love it and they can be home and still have a lot to do outside." Kate said checking on the sweet potatoes in the oven.
"Should be here in a week or so." Seth said as he watched his wife. "Katie you alright? You've been kind of quiet today."
"Something happened at work yesterday." She said.
"Moxley? What the fuck did he do? Did you kiss him again Kate?" Seth asked anger in his voice.
"What? No. But WOW Seth just wow! That is the first thing you thought of when I said something happened at work." Kate said now annoyed.
"What the hell am I suppose to think. You told me you kissed him so how do I know that he would try to kiss you again?" Seth asked.
"You slept with Becky more than once how do I know you still aren't?" She snapped back.
"Because I told you I wasn't." Seth said.
"Exactly. Seth you are asking me to trust you. But you can't seem to trust me when I didn't do anything to break that trust." She told him.
"Except kiss Jon Moxley of all people." He said.
"Yes I did kiss him and that is all I did. I get you are hurt and pissed but I thought we were moving past this." Kate said.
"We are baby. We are." Seth said.
"Are we? Because you seem to keep bringing it up." She said as she started making the kids plates.
"I am sorry. When you said something happened…. I really didn't know what to think." Seth said.
"But your mind went to me kissing another man."
"I'm sorry baby."
"Yeah I heard you." She said as she was finishing up with dinner. "Can you go help the kids wash their hands for dinner."
Seth nodded and went to help the kids. Kate knew she needed to tell Seth about Trent but right now she was more annoyed with him for thinking she would kiss Jon again.
They ate dinner not talking to one another but helping the kids. Kate gave both the kids their bath and got them ready for bed. As soon as the kids were sound asleep she finished the laundry then got ready for bed herself and was sitting in bed reading when Seth came in.
"Kate I'm sorry. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions. It still just pisses me off that you kissed him." Seth said.
"I got that and believe me I understand because it still pisses me off knowing how many times you were in bed with Becky." Kate said looking up from her book and putting it on the night stand. "But listen that is not what we need to talk about right now. So if you are ready to actually listen I can tell you what happened at work."
Seth nodded at he sat on the bed giving Kate his attention.
"I received a nice vase of flowers. We all joked they were from Omega because he's the one that brought them to the trainers room. Then someone made a joke asking what you did wrong because they were beautiful flowers. I actually for just a tiny minute thought they were from Jon." Kate said with a half smile.
"Who were they from?" Seth asked more curious now.
"Trent." Kate stated with out hesitation.
"Trent that asshole. Are you freaking kidding me?"
"I wish I were. There was a letter attached. I didn't read it all more like the first few lines. It basically said he was sorry for what he did and he wanted to see me."
"Where is that letter now?" Seth asked.
"I threw it away along with the flowers. It doesn't matter what it says he is not coming near you or the kids. I just couldn't believe it a three page letter and I couldn't even stomach reading the first paragraph before I felt sick so I tossed it in the trash."
"That son of a bitch." Seth growled sitting on the bed. "Wait how did he know you were in Florida?"
"I don't know. My guess? Is his Mom found out or something. Let's just hope he doesn't try to contact me again. There is nothing I want to say to that man." Kate said.
"You know maybe you shouldn't go to Florida any more. Just until we figure out what he's up too."
"I could ask that same request of you. Would you be willing to take time off until we figure that out?" Kate asked.
"Katie sweet heart. You know I can't do that right now. We are just a week or so away from SummerSlam. I can't do that to the company."
"Yeah I kind of knew you were gonna say that. Just know that I can't do that to AEW either. I am one of the only females on the medical staff so they need me too." Kate said.
Seth just looked at his wife and sighed. He didn't like the idea of her traveling alone knowing that Trent knew she was in Florida last week. Something wasn't sitting well with all of this. He just hoped Trent would stay in South Carolina and follow his rules of parole.
Several Days Later.
Kate was at home with the kids while Seth went to Monday Night raw. He was heading towards the ring when he noticed Becky coming over to him.
"Seth we need to talk." She said.
"I know Becks. I just have been busy with shit at home." He said.
"Yeah I know. You haven't called or text me in about a week." She said. "But can we talk after the show? It's really important." She asked.
"Maybe we'll see. I booked a flight home tonight so I wont have much time before I need to get to the airport." Seth told her.
"Wait your flying home tonight? Usually we grab a late dinner." She said.
"There is stuff going on at home so I just told Kate that I would leave tonight." Seth explained.
"She still doesn't trust you? When she's shacking up with Jon. Renee seems to think there is something going on there."
"Renee doesn't know shit. Becks look you know I care about you but I told you I have to try and make this marriage work. If we have time I promise we will talk after the show. But right now I have to get to the ring."
Becky just nodded as she watched Seth grabbed the steel chair and head towards the ring.
It didn't take long for Seth to get a beat down from Brock using the steel chair Seth himself brought to the ring it ended with a suplex. He was beat down as leaning up against the ring ropes mic in hand.
"You know you love something so much. If you love something so much. You'd do anything to protect it, to keep it safe. Even if the thing you love keeps you getting beat to a pulp inside and out week after week, after week, after week. For me the answer is yes. This is all I am. Every second of every day, this is all I've ever wanted. This is all I've got. I'll be at Summerslam. And I'll beat Brock Lesnar. I guarantee it."
