A few days Later.
"Seth told me that you were moving out. There was a part of me that hoped he was lying." Holly Seth's mom said coming into Ella's room.
"No he's telling the truth the kids and I are moving out. I'm sorry Holly." Kate said as she continued to pack Ella's clothes and was looking through her favorite toys to pack in boxes.
"Where are the kids now?" Holly asked looking around the room.
"They are with my Dad at the park. He flew in late last night to finish helping me." Kate said putting a few of things in a box.
Holly just nodded. "So you really don't want to at least try and work this out with Seth? You're just gonna leave with the kids?"
"He got another woman pregnant Holly. I am not sure I can forgive that." Kate said looking at her mother in law. "I've tried to work it out. For months and months I've tried. I admit I didn't try hard enough at first so that is on me. I know I went to Florida for a month when I probably should have been working on my marriage but I needed time to think about things. I love Seth but he broke my heart. He started an intimate relationship with another woman. Seth was telling Becky things he couldn't tell me. So I have to work that out in my own head and try and figure out where I went wrong. But I did give him another chance we talked and went to therapy. We were doing better I thought thing were different. We were opening up to one another but when he told me that Becky was pregnant and the baby was his. I knew he hadn't truly changed and he was still lying to me. He told me he hadn't slept with Becky in a long time but in fact he was still sleeping with both of us. So I'm sorry Holly you can make me out to be the bad guy here but I wont share him. So if he wants to be with Becky then that is his choice and I am not gonna fight it any more." Kate said with a sense of anger and sadness in her voice.
"My son isn't perfect but you running away isn't going to help either." Holly pointed out.
"I already said that me running the first time was not the best choice. Looking back I know that. I should have stayed and tried to work it out. But I needed time to think about things. Once I did that I knew Seth and I could work this out as long as we were honest with one another. However he lied to me over and over. He told me that he wasn't seeing Becky and that he truly wanted to make it work with me and our family."
"And you don't think that's true any more?" Holly asked looking at her daughter in law.
"No I don't think it's true. If he really wanted to stay married to me and be the family we've always wanted. Well then he would have stopped talking to Becky and he certainly would have stopped sleeping with her." Kate stated. "So if he wants to have that family he can have that with Becky. I am tired of trying when he clearly isn't."
"I know he still loves you and those kids." She said.
"I don't doubt for a second that he doesn't love our kids. But as for me he doesn't love me the way he use to because if he did he wouldn't have been sleeping with another woman. He would have been able to be honest with me." Kate said. "I will always love Seth but after all this I can truly say I don't love him in the same way either. I don't think I can ever truly trust him."
"So you are just going to give up? Move away and take his children away from him? From me their Grandma?" Holly asked.
"If you want to call it giving up that's fine. But like I said I've tried and tried for months Holly. This isn't just a one night stand with a ring rat we're talking about. Since late last year my husband has been in an intimate relationship with another woman. I admitted I didn't' handle it the best in the beginning but I truly truly tried. He's the one who gave up on me and the kids. The second he chose to continuing whatever he has with Becky. He made the choice to end our marriage. As far as the kids I would never take them away from you or Seth. But I just can't live with Seth any more there is no saving our marriage. He's having a baby with another woman. I am sure we will work out a fair agreement for the kids to come and see you both."
"But it seems you aren't even considering living her in Iowa." Holly said.
"Right now no. I will be going home to South Carolina for a little while. So my family can spend time with the kids. From there not really sure. I've thought about getting a place in Florida that is close to work. That way Seth can see the kids when he's down there working." Kate said as she put a few more toys in the box and taped it shut. Then wrote on it. "Holly I am sorry it's worked it this way. I wish things were different. Maybe in time they will be but for now I have to do what is right for me and my kids."
"I can't say that I understand all this. But I can see I wont be able to change your mind."
"Not this time. Seth really needs to think about what he wants and what he needs to do. He's having another baby with someone other than his wife. This is all on him." Kate stated.
A week Later.
"You are the champion. Now as happy as you are to be the champion. I might be a little bit happier. So you go be a warrior cause I am gonna go be a mother." Becky said as she had relinquished the title to Asuka.
"That was her announcement?" Moxley asked as they were in the trainers room watching Kate's phone.
"Yeah Monday night live on Raw. The whole world found out about my husbands love child. I mean the internet is speculating that it's Seth's baby. While his fan girls are of course sticking up for him. But yes that was live on TV."
Moxley just shook his head. "You would think she would have just made it a little quieter and not a big production."
"That is kind of what I hoped for. Selfishly I thought she'd just tweet about it and they would write her out. When Seth told me they were making an announcement I really didn't think it was going to be like that. Telling the whole world as she stood in the middle of the ring that she was pregnant." Kate said.
"I am sorry babe. But hey how is it being home with the parents?" He asked with a grin.
"It hasn't been to bad. The kids are loving it. They are loving the pool at Kelly's and spending time with their cousins. So far so good. Honestly it can't last long. There is a reason I moved out of South Carolina the second I could." Kate said putting her phone down as she started to do a few things around the trainers room.
"Kit you got a plan?" Moxley asked.
"Maybe." She smiled. "I am looking at a few places tomorrow here in Jacksonville."
"Really? Florida huh?"
"Yeah figured it was close to work and the kids loved the beach so it may not to be to bad. Want to come with me?"
"Hell yeah I do. I gotta make sure the place is safe." Mox winked.
Later that evening AEW Dynamite was under way live. All the talent were coming in and out of the trainers room like it was a revolving door. So Kate didn't have time to check her phone and was barely paying attention to the show that was playing on the monitor in the trainers room. In no time at all it was time for the main event Jon Moxley vs Darby Allin for the AEW Title.
This match was none stop and all go go go from the time the bell range. Just when Mox thought he'd had the match won Darby just wouldn't stay down. Which is what Moxley had predicted would happen in his early promo. He just asked Darby that when the time came to stay down just stay down but he know this young talent wouldn't listen to him.
Kate was watching the screen as neither Jon or Darby were taking it easy on the other.
"Darby's bleeding already." Kate said to herself as she heard her phone go off.
She grabbed her phone and saw that it was a text message from a restricted number.
"Hey Katie. It's Trent. I just wanted to check in to see if you got the flowers. I assume you did and didn't know how to take it. Since the last time we saw one another it was not my best moment. I heard that you were staying at your parents house. I would like to see you soon. Please get in touch with me. Let me explain and say that I truly am sorry for all that I've done. Remember I am always here for you. So think about it. Love Trent."
Kate read the text message as she just shook her head. Not what she wanted to be dealing with at this moment. She wondered how he knew she was at her parents and even more curious as to how he got her phone number. She was lost in thought when Dr. Sampson came in to the room.
"Kate Mox is bleeding badly from the head. Max hit him hard with that title. We all know he can be a pain when it come to getting medical attention. Mind to just glove up and meet him at the curtain?" Dr. Sampson asked.
As Kate looked up at the screen and saw Moxley's blood pouring down his face.
"Yeah I'm on it." Kate said washing her hands then putting on the gloves and getting a few medical supplies.
"Thanks you are the only one he lets touch him most of the time." Dr. Sampson said.
After Kate set up a medical kit she went out to the curtain area.
"Mox making you work tonight." Cody said looking up from that screen.
"Gotta earn that AEW money." Kate smiled watching the screen.
After a hard fought match Moxley finally got the win over Darby. He wrapped his arm around his neck and was whispering something to him that the camera could barely pick up.
"This is great story telling." Omega said standing next to Kate.
"Kenny Omega are you giving Jon a compliment?" Kate asked.
"More to Darby." Omega said.
"Sure whatever you say Omega." Kate smiled. "Don't worry I wont tell Nick and Matt you complimented Mox." She winked.
Omega chuckled.
"That kid's got balls. That kid's got heart. It's a little scrambled in my brain right now. I'm not exactly sure what happened but I got a pretty good idea. There's a kid out there with no heart and even if he did it stops beatin' real soon. He's a dead man." Moxley said leaning into the camera blood still all over his face and the title over his shoulder.
"And we're clear!" Cody said.
When Kate heard that she went right out towards the ring as another train was out there with Darby.
"Hey babe." Mox said with a grin.
"You sir are bleeding." She said as she reached up and started wiping his face off.
"Just a little war wound and did I just hear your southern accent? A little thick tonight. It's hot."
"Shut up." Kate said trying not to giggle as she pressed the towel to the wound on his head.
"Hold this there put pressure on it." She stated. Mox did as she asked as she took the title and tossed it over her shoulder as they went right to the trainers room.
"Sit."
"So bossy." He said sitting down.
"Damn right. You have a head wound."
"Good thing I have my own personal nurse." He smiled. "You know that title looks good on you."
Kate just shook her head as she put the title down and grabbed some medical supplies and started to clean off Jon's face and the wound.
"Is it super deep?" Moxley asked as she finished cleaning it up.
"Not as deep as I thought your hair line should cover it. Your eyes aren't to dilated so I don't think you have a concussion." She said.
"So that means you wont be sleeping over tonight? Cause you know maybe you could stay with me tonight? For medical purposes of course." Moxley said as they were looking into each other eyes. As he touched her face softly.
"Medical purposes huh?" She said softly biting her lip.
"Strictly for medical reasons." He said.
His hand still on her face he leaned in and gave her a deep passionate kiss.
