*head shoots out of water gasping* I'm Alive!
I'm sorry I've been gone for so long! But it was not on purpose guys! Work, school, and family have been keeping me real busy right now. And I've learned a valuable lesson. If you know something is up with your body, go to the fucking doctors and don't wait, which is what I did. I really fucked myself over by not listening to others when they told me to go.
I'll try to get more chapters out real soon!
"Boss...?" Bickslow questioned, ever so slowly inching closer to the volatile Slayer, eyes glowing bright in the dark, staring at his best friends raging soul.
Anger.
Frustration.
Laxus's yellow soul flared around him, and for the second time ever, Bickslow saw Laxus's dragon. The beast curled around Laxus, the embodiment of lighting, cries leaving its mouth as it circled around him. Ignorant to his Dragon, Laxus continued destroying tree after tree. Finally, the beast gave in, throwing its head back and letting loose a mighty roar, roaring its anger to the heavens.
"Laxus, talk to me man." Bickslow said as he closed in on the larger man, flinching as sparks of lightning zapped at his unprotected skin, wishing he had his armor on.
"There's nothing to say!" His voice thundered, sharp and full of anguish, kicking another tree, uprooting it and sending it crashing to the ground, before turning to Bickslow. "Get out of here, Bix!"
"Sorry Bossman, but that isn't an order I can follow right now." Bickslow said, finally coming to stand before Laxus. "Not when you soul is as messed up as it is now."
Snarling, from both Laxus and his dragon, the two glared down at him, the dragon making Laxus more imposing than ever as it curled behind him. A sliver of fear ran down his spine as he stared the large yellow beast in the eyes. Memories of the Dragon parents of the Slayers came to mind. Although not as big nor able to attack him, this dragon was still something to be feared.
But one thing prevented Bickslow from leaving his leader, from running away from the snarling teeth bearing beast.
Because hidden behind that anger, was a deep sadness that was impossible for it to hide from his special eyes.
This beast was hurting just as much, if not more, than was Laxus was hurting.
This beast was crying out, reaching for Laxus, but there was a week connection between them. Unlike with the other Slayers, who he had witnessed this with before, the tie between beast and slayer was week compared to the others.
And even though Bickslow could tell that it wanted him gone, wanted him far away, he couldn't, in good conscience, leave when he had the power to help.
