"Kids finally fall asleep?" Ridge asked sipping on a mint julep on the back deck.
"Yeah. Ella just did not want to go to sleep tonight and Jaxon he just wanted Kate. She always sings him Baby Mine and I clearly don't do it justice." Seth signed sitting down next to his father in law. "I miss her, I just want her home."
"Mark and Walker are doing everything they can. Please know that." Ridge said.
"I know. But I mean I want her home home. When this is over I want her to come home to Iowa. To the house that we decorated together and started our family in. I need her to be alright." Seth stated.
"We need to listen to what Kate really wants. It maybe to soon for her to move back with you. But don't give up on her Seth. I can see how much you do love her but you've screwed up one to many times. We can't just ignore the fact that you are having a baby with another woman."
"I messed up and I know I don't deserve Kate's forgiveness but this time I am gonna stop at nothing to get it and earn back what I destroyed." He said. "This is my fault I never should have let her out of my sight. Let her move back here. Knowing Trent was out."
"Seth we both know Kate is a strong willed woman. I raised her that way. There is nothing you could have said to get her to change her mind. I blame myself I was the last one to see her. I should have rode to Jacksonville with her." Ridge said.
"Hey Mr. Callaway sorry to interrupt but Mrs. Callaway said you were back here." Walker said coming outside.
"Still always so polite you can call me Ridge. I mean you did date my daughter well daughters." Ridge said trying to lighten the mood.
Walker smiled. "High school love triangles."
"Hey man Lynnette said you were out here any news?" Mox asked coming out on the deck as well.
"Yes so the reason I am here. We did get the warrant for the cabin out at the lake. It wasn't easy but we got enough evidence from her car and my dad was able to get surveillance footage from a gas station close to there." Walker explained. "Also it helped that you gave us the letter Trent sent her Seth. Then Jon's statement about the flowers. It all helped."
"So what do we do now?" Ridge asked.
"My Dad and I are heading up to the cabin now. I hope she's there and I can bring her home." He said.
"She's my wife can I go?" Seth asked.
"You ain't going with out me." Jon stated.
"Listen my job is to bring Kate home. Not referee your dick competition. If I had my way you'd both wait here." Walker stated. "But Mr. Callaway, Ridge I will leave it up to you if you'd like to follow me with these two. I did get the OK from my dad." He said.
Ridge looked at both men he knew neither would take No for an answer.
"I will drive them up there." Ridge said.
"Alright. But listen you both STAY in the car. NO matter what you don't interfere. Believe me I wont hesitate to arrest either one of you. My job is to get Kate out safely."
Seth and Jon just nodded as they glared at one another.
With Kate.
"You remember Prom night don't you sweet pea?" Trent asked looking at Kate as they were sitting on the couch together. She was still to weak to move or run.
"I do." She said softly as it still hurt to talk.
Trent smiled. "I remember you were wearing that amazing red dress. You looked like a princess, my princess. Nina announced us as Prom King and Queen then we danced to "This I promise you" it was meant to be. That's always been our song. That song got me through a lot of lonely nights. As we danced that night I had it all. We were getting married and having a baby. The day you told me you were pregnant was the happiest day of my life. It was after Prom when our lives changed, you changed."
"You were drunk that night. You did this you changed my life." Kate said.
"Kate Lynn it wasn't like that it was an accident." Trent reasoned.
"You were drinking and driving. You crashed our car. I lost our baby and my body has never been the same since. Trent you did that. You've never been sorry for any of that." Kate said as she was still in pain but sat up straighter.
"You know I love you. But you never gave me a chance to be sorry. Kate you ran off to live your life with out me. But some how I am the bad guy in all of this." Trent said getting angry.
"Everything you've done since that night shows me just the kind of man I knew you were when I left." Kate stated as she was still in pain but finding strength deep inside her. "That night was all your fault you destroyed my life and I had to fight like hell to get it back."
"You think you were the only one hurt? I lost everything that night. But no one cared because it was all about what I did not how I felt. I lost a child too and in turn I lost you along the way. You never gave me a chance after that."
"Because you always paid more attention to that bottle than to me and it almost killed me that night. So what was I suppose to do Trent huh? Act like everything was fine as I fought like hell to get my body back to some kind of normal?" Kate asked as she took off the ring and tossing it at him.
"All I ever wanted was for you to see how sorry I was for that night. But you ran into the arms of another man. Then just when I think we may have a chance enter Seth Fricken Rollins. Then when I heard he cheated. I knew I was right about him that he wasn't good enough for you. I should have killed him off when I had that chance. But you ignored me Kate. I reached out to you and you ignored me for what? The Scum bag known as Jon Moxley that son of bitch is worse than Seth. I knew the only way to get what I wanted was to take it and I did. I love you." Trent said grabbing her arm hard.
"You don't hurt the people you love! Let go of me!" Kate growled trying to muster up any strength she had left to fight him off. She wasn't going to give him the chance to shoot her up tonight with that muscle relaxer again.
"It's always been you Kate Lynn you are the only woman I've ever loved. So if I can't have you then no one will." Trent growled reaching over to the other table to get something.
With everything Kate had left she used all her body to push him backwards and run for the door. When she felt him tackler her to the ground he flipped her on her back as he had her pinned to the ground.
"Trent Please just let me go!" Kate cried.
"I wont let you go Kate Lynn. One way or another dead or alive we are going to be together forever." Trent stated slammed her head to the ground.
Before either one knew what had happened someone barged in the door and tackled Trent to the ground. Kate was trying to figure out who it was her head felt fuzzy.
"Walker this has nothing to do with you." Trent yelled.
"You kidnapped her man what the hell? I am taking you in." Walker said staring at him with his gun pointed.
"I am not going back to that hell." Trent growled as he attacked Walker.
When all of a sudden a gun shot was heard as both men laid on the floor and blood pooled around them.
"Katie girl? You with me?" Walker said pushing Trent to the side and going over to her as she still laid on the floor.
"Walker." She said faintly in tears as he scooped her up.
"Walker what happened you alright?" Mark asked as he and a few other officers came into the house.
"I'm fine. He put up a struggle he grabbed my gun and it went off." Walker said looking at the lifeless Trent on the ground. As the other officers were assessing him and making sure the scene was safe.
"Glad you are alright son." Mark said. "How is she?" He asked as Kate was in and out of concussions.
"She beat up pretty badly." He said holding her close to him.
"I'll called this in. I will have an officer meet you at the hospital for a statement. Great work tonight son you followed your gut. There is an ambulance waiting outside." Mark stated.
Walker just nodded as he slowly carried Kate to safety at the awaiting ambulance.
"Katie!" Seth said running over to her his heart breaking even more when he saw his wife.
"Kate babe. We're here can you hear us?" Moxley asked as he went to touch Kate's arm.
She flinched and buried her head into Walker's chest as he put her on the stretcher, getting in with her. The Emergency staff started checking her vitals and assessing her as they shut the doors to the ambulance.
"What the hell happened in there?" Jon asked.
"I hope he killed him because if you didn't I will." Seth stated staring at the ambulance as it speed away with his wife inside.
