It was well pass midnight, nearly three in the morning when their conversation finally ended. After much argument, after many pleas from both parties, all fell silent.
Staring down at Lucy hard, Natsu sighed as her own eyes stared back up at him in determination.
"Are you sure about this, Luce?" He softly questioned her. "I don't want you to go. I'll miss you too much." He said, wanting nothing more that to grab her and take her to his home, just so he could lock her up until she gave up on the idea of leaving.
Lucy gave a weak nod. "Yes. I'm sorry."
Running a hand through his own pink fringe, moving his bangs up and out of his face, he sighed once more. "No, don't be sorry." He said.
The two remained silent.
A shimmer of gold appeared at the beds side, Virgo materializing into their world bowed at the waist.
"Shall I begin packing your belonging, Hime?" The blue eyes spirit questioned.
"Yes, please, Virgo."
The maid straightened out then, before moving about in Lucy's apartment and beginning to pack her things.
The silence between the two returned once more as they were left alone. A sniff drew Natsu's attention to Lucy's eyes once more tearing up, slightly amazed that she hadn't yet run out of tears. Reaching for her, he once more pulled her into his lap and held her.
"What's wrong?"
"I'm going to miss you. All of you." She said. "And then there's Galen!"
"Yeah, you kind of have to talk to him and come clean now that you're going to be leaving." Natsu agreed. "Want me to go get him? I think he said he was just going to go wait at his apartment."
"Could you?"
"Sure thing, Luce."
