Have you ever loved a game so much that it felt so real to you, that it feels like its your life. What about taking it to a whole other level? Well, a young man is about to see that for himself.

"Yeah! Boom! Another ten energy gone!" This guy was in the middle of playing a game on his computer against another opponent. He had a white scarf with a red shirt with blue pants. He also had salmon colored hair. This is Natsu Dragneel and little does he know that his life with a game he loves is going to change very soon.

"Hey, Natsu." Natsu turned around and met with a beautiful girl with blonde hair tied into a side ponytail. She wore a pink shirt with a white stripe over it and a pink skirt.

"Hey, Lucy." Natsu said.

"Come on. We've got class starting soon." Lucy said.

"Just a minute. I'm almost done with this guy." Natsu said.

"You wish...Fire-Dragneel."

"Oh yeah. Watch. I use a Lava-lanche with Magmon." Natsu said. "Thanks to his fire abilities and his Viledriver, doesn't that do enough damage to code your Arias?" He was right as his opponent lost the game. "Oh yeah! I love Chaotic!" Chaotic is a popular game that a lot of people online or with cards.

"Great. Can we get to class now?" Lucy said.

"Yeah. Just a minute. I don't want to lose my scanner." Natsu said as he tried putting his chaotic stuff away and reached for a red handheld device. "You know Lucy, we should battle ourselves. I like to take your overworlders with my underworlders."

"How about before we get detention?" Lucy said. Chaotic was a fun game that Natsu and Lucy both loved playing. Natsu was about to shut off his computer, but he stopped when he saw a message he got.

"What's this?" Natsu said as he opened it up and saw it was some sort of code. "A code? What's this about?"

"Let me see." Lucy said as she took a look at it. "No way! You finally got it?"

"Got what? You know what this is?" Natsu said.

"I sure do. Trust me, when you input that code into your scanner, it's going to take playing chaotic to a whole new level." Lucy said, but Natsu was a little reluctant to go through with it.

"I don't know, Lucy. How can it get any better?" Natsu said. Lucy was about to explain, but the high school bell went off and that meant they needed to get to class.

"Just trust me, Natsu. Just make sure you use that code before midnight or you won't be able to use it ever." Lucy said as she walked off. Natsu and Lucy have been friends for a long time. She's never steered him wrong before, but he isn't sure about this.

...

Natsu's House

"Oh yeah. Take that." Natsu said as he was playing another online match. It was getting late and he still hasn't used that code he got.

"Natsu, put the computer games away and come down for dinner soon!"

"Yeah, Mom!" Natsu said. "Just as soon as I find another opponent and win another battle. I'm the hottest underworld player around with all my hot fire attacks. That's why I'm Fire-Dragneel." Natsu loved playing this game. His favorite tribe of creatures were the underworlders and he always goes with ones that specialize with fire-based attacks. Natsu was going to go for another match, but he stopped when he heard his scanner go off like a phone. He answered it and saw it was Lucy. "Hey, Lucy. What's up?"

"Have you tried that code out yet?" Lucy asked.

"No." Natsu said.

"Natsu, you better use it soon." Lucy said. "Remember what I said. If you don't use it by midnight, you won't be able to use it. Trust me, it's worth it."

"I don't get it, Lucy. Just tell me what this is all about." Natsu said.

"I can't. You wouldn't believe me even if I did. You have to see it to believe it." Lucy said. "Have I ever steered you wrong?"

"Well, no." Natsu said. Lucy is his best friend and he does trust her. "Fine. I'm doing it now." He ended the call and input the code. Once he put it in his scanner, there was a message on it. "Play for real? Okay." Natsu pressed accept, but when he did, his scanner went black. "Hey!" He tried to make it work, but it wouldn't turn on. He checked online and saw he couldn't access his card on his computer either. "I can't believe this! My scanner and my cards are gone. Thanks a lot, Lucy." Natsu just took his scanner and dumped it in the trash. He trusted his friend and it looks like he paid for it, but what Natsu didn't know at the time was that code did something else.

...

Natsu

When Natsu input that code and accepted the message, something that's hard to explain happened. He was still at home, but he also appeared somewhere else.

"What the?" Natsu said. He wondered what happened and he looked around. There monitors all around with tables and a whole bunch of other people around. "Where the heck am I?!"

"Welcome to Chaotic." Natsu turned around and he was faced with Lucy.

"Lucy?" Natsu said.

"About time. I've been waiting for you to show up all day." Lucy said.

"Show up where? Where the heck are we?" Natsu said.

"Just as I said. You're in Chaotic." Lucy said.

"Chaotic?" Natsu said.

"That's right. I told you take your game to the next level." Lucy said. "Come on. I'll show you around." Natsu followed her and had a look around the place. "Chaotic isn't just a game, Natsu. It's also the name of this place. Here, you can play as much as you like against anyone in the world."

"You can? How is that different form playing online?" Natsu said.

"It's very different because...you actually become the creatures here." Lucy said.

"You what?!" Natsu said.

"I know what you're thinking, but it's true. Once you have your first battle, you'll see what I'm talking about." Lucy said. "In fact, your first battle should be happening soon."

"Fire-Dragneel." Natsu got a little spooked when he saw a robot come over to him. "Your first match starts in ten minutes in the Amzen Drone."

"You heard the robot. Come on." Lucy said as she led the way. Natsu continued to just go with it as he followed Lucy outside and saw more of the place.

"Wow!" Natsu said. "So what's a drone anyway?"

"It's where you have your chaotic matches here." Lucy said. Lucy led Natsu to one of these drones and it was the Amzen Drone. "Your first match is always one on one. Just go in there and whatever you do, don't freak out. Just go with it." Natsu didn't understand, but he went inside because he was needed in there.

"Wow..." Natsu said as he had a look around the place.

"Welcome, Fire-Dragneel." Natsu got a little freaked from the talking spinning logo. "This is your first chaotic match. Here comes your opponent. Perim Knight." A door opened on the other side and someone walked in. A girl with red hair wearing a white blouse and blue skirt with her large socks that reached her knees.

"So you're the newbie. My name is Erza. Welcome to Chaotic."

Lucy

Lucy was able to watch the match on a monitor just outside the drone. She wanted Natsu to do well, but that could be more of a problem now that she knows his opponent.

"His first opponent is Erza? That's not good." Lucy said.

...

The Drone

"Uh...hi." Natsu said.

"So let's have some fun." Erza said as she pulled out her yellow scanner and placed it on a stand. Natsu did the same and some sort of screen appeared in front of them. Natsu heard his scanner and answered it to see it was Lucy.

"Since this is your first chaotic match, it's always one-on-one." Lucy said. "Just go with one creature, one battlegear, one mugic, and up to ten locations."

"If you say so." Natsu said as he tried to work the screen and tried to get his cards. 'I don't know what's going on, but I better go with one of my heavy hitters like Magmon.' He thought as he placed the scan in place. 'For battlegear, I'll go with a whepcrack to give him an extra boost in power. For mugic, I'll go with an underworld classic: Canon of Casualty.' Natsu placed all of those in place on the screen and started selecting his ten locations. "This is so freaky, but kind of cool."

"Just you wait. You haven't seen anything yet." Erza said.

"Players, lock your decks." Both of them locked the scanners and they could see the other screen.

"So you're an underworld user." Erza acknowledged.

"Fire-Dragneel, since this is your first chaotic match, you will be the attacker. Activate the location randomizer."

"The what?" Natsu questioned.

"The spinner off to the side." Erza said. Natsu looked around and spotted it. He gave it a spin and a location was being selected.

"The first location: Underworld City. Choose the attacking and target creatures."

"That's easy. Magmon attacks Biondu." Both of them selected their creatures. That was when something strange happened. Codes swirled around both of them and their bodies were changing. "What's happening?!" Natsu didn't know what was going on as his body turned into lava rocks and Erza became a reptilian-like creature.

"What is this? I'm actually Magmon?" Natsu said as he became Magmon himself.

"You haven't seen anything yet." Erza said as she was now Biondu. "Let's get chaotic." That was when their entire area changed.

Underworld City

The whole area changed into a city that looked spooky. Magmon wondered around with Natsu's mind in control as he was so confused.

"I can't believe I'm really Magmon. I can't believe I'm really in Underworld City." Magmon said. It was all so incredible. He didn't know what to think. "Is this real?"

"Very real." Biondu suddenly appeared right in front him and out of nowhere. "Flash Kick!" Biondu launched an energy kick and blasted Magmon with it. Magmon was blown back and slammed against a wall.

"No fair. How did you do that?" Magmon questioned.

"The mipedians are able to turn invisible." Biondu said. "This is just the beginning. You haven't seen anything yet. Welcome to Chaotic!" This was all unbelievable. Magmon looked a little freaked and Natsu was as well.
