***Hello, everyone! It hurts my hand to type this, but for some reason, I'm still here. Anyways, Yuri, Otabek, and Yuri K. don't belong to me, and let's go!
Chapter Six: Sickness
Over the next month, life seemed to steadily improve. Yuri was thrilled when his cast was finally removed and he could practice more freely to stay in shape. January was still the off-season, but he had to stay in shape.
His mother seemed to like coming along, through. Nadya and Yuri found a bond over skating, slowly but surely. As the weeks passed, they got less and less awkward around each other. Yuri even managed to teacher Nadya a few simple jumps.
Yes, things were going quite well. Nikolai, Otabek, Victor, and Katsudon could all tell that the young man was happy.
Until the sickness came.

Otabek held back Yuri's shoulder-length hair as he vomited. There were certainly better ways to wake up than this.
"Okay... I'm empty now..." Yuri managed to say after a few minutes, slowly sitting up and wiping spit from his mouth. "You said that ten minutes ago, but alright. Want me to get you some water?" Otabek asked, concerned. "Yeah," Yuri said.
As his love went to get a water bottle, he thought tiredly on his predicament. If he had a stomach bug, then he probably would've had a fever, which he didn't have. And he never had gotten sick from nerves before, so it wasn't the presence of his mother that was making his innards turn.
He cringed inwardly as he thought of the only other option. Although sencondary gender statuses were primarily just mentioned for the sake of legal documents and medical forms, Yuri couldn't help but think about the fact that he was an omega.
This was the fourth morning in a row he'd sprinted to the bathroom to throw up his dinner from the previous night. So maybe...
"Sorry. I had to open a new case of water bottles." Otabek's voice broke through Yuri's thoughts. He sat down and passed over the open water bottle. Yuri took a sip, the cold water feeling wonderful on his throat that was sore from his body's rejection of last night's dinner.
Then, he rested his head against Otabek's shoulder, jade-colored eyes drooping shut. He just barely remembered Otabek scooping his up bridal-style and laying him back in bed.

The next day, when Victor was out getting groceries, Katsudon busied himself in listening to possible skating music to use for next season. Some of the music in the playlist, he just liked to listen to for fun, but that didn't mean he wasn't still working.
He did this until he heard someone knocking on his door. Makkachin bounded over to the door first, and Katsudon was the one to open it.
"Hey, Yurio. Are you feeling alright?" he asked, worried. Yuri was standing in sweatpants and a hoodie, his face pale and ridden with concern.
"It's just you and the dog, right? Victor's not here?" he asked. "He'll be back later, but he's not here right now... what's wrong?" Katsudon asked.
Yuri came in and nudged the door shut behind him with his foot, sitting on the living room couch. His hands dug into his pockets, hair hanging in his face. Katsudon sat next to him.
"What's going on? You can tell me, and whatever you say won't leave this room," he assured. Yuri shifted, clearly uneasy, When Katsudon met his eyes, there was pure fear and cluelessness.
"How do I tell Otabek that I'm having his child?"
***Yeah, I'm leaving it there for now. Be sure to leave a review on the way out, and I'll see you all in the next one! Bye!
