Natsu was impressed with the fact that Chaotic was a real place. He's just as impressed with the face that the locations are places he can actually go to in another world called Perim. In Perim, he can get scans and add to his team and one of the places he visited was Kiru City.

"So this is what Kiru City is really like." Natsu said as he and Lucy had a look around.

"Sure is. It can be a nice place when it's not in the middle of a battle." Lucy said.

"So where are we heading?" Natsu asked, but all Lucy did was held out her arm and stopped him from going anywhere.

"There." Lucy said. They both looked behind around a building and saw the one they were looking for. "That's the arsenal. It's a great place to try and scan some battlegear."

"Seriously? Cool. Let's go." Natsu said.

"This way." Lucy said as the two of them hurried over to the building. "Give me a boost." Natsu dropped on his hands and Lucy stood on his back as she tried to get a window open. "Just remember when we get in, we can only scan on battlegear. So make a smart choice."

"Wait. We're breaking in? Why can't we just go through the front door?" Natsu said.

"It's not that easy. I don't like this, but we have to if we want those scans. Most creatures don't really like humans even being here." Lucy said.

"They don't? How come?" Natsu asked.

"Freeze!" Both of them looked and saw a couple guys spotted them.

"Later!" Lucy said as she got off and they both made a run for it with the guards chasing after them and shooting at them.

"What do we do?" Natsu said.

"This way." Lucy said as they ducked behind a corner. The two guards went after them and continued down the streets, but Natsu and Lucy hid behind a building and saw they were gone. "That was close."

"What was that about? Are they looking for a fight?!" Natsu said.

"It's not like that, Natsu." Lucy said. Natsu didn't understand what was going on. What was even weirder was that a ball came bouncing towards him. A small creature came and got it, but he kicked Natsu in the leg and he bounced around in pain.

"Get out of here!" The creature said and ran off with the ball.

"Come you, little brat. I'll give you a reason not to like me." Natsu said.

"Forget it. Let's just go before we get in more trouble." Lucy said. Natsu agreed with it as they took their scanners and ported out of there.

Chaotic

Natsu and Lucy ported back to Chaotic. When they did, Erza was there and waiting for them.

"Welcome back. How was Kiru City, Natsu?" Erza said.

"Not the experience I was hoping for." Natsu said as the three of them walked by with Natus missing Zach.

"Hello." Zach said and got their attention.

"Hey, Zach. Sorry, didn't see you." Natsu said. "Lucy, this is Zach. He's the one I was telling you about before. Zach, this is Erza and Lucy." When Zach took a good look at them, he whistled with delight.

"I already like your friends, Natsu. So what's going on?" Zach asked.

"Natsu and I just got back from Kiru City." Lucy said as they all had a seat around the table. "We were hoping to get some new scans for Natsu, but it didn't go well."

"Didn't go well? We were being chased like we were criminals, a little bratty creature kicked me in the leg, and I didn't really get a scan of anything." Natsu said. "What was that all about anyway? I didn't do anything to them."

"Perhaps, but creatures don't really like us humans being around that much." Erza said.

"Lucy was saying that earlier. How come?" Natsu said. "We humans must have been going there ever since Chaotic was created, right? How come creatures don't like us humans being around?"

"Well, they think we can't be trusted." Zach said. "They believe we'll only help them if it means we can get a few scans in return."

"There's also the fact that some humans favor one tribe over the others and might helped them." Erza said. "That gives creatures more of a reason not to trust humans."

"I think it might also be more personal. They might be offended." Lucy said. "The four tribes have been at war with each for a long time. They're probably bothered by the fact that we treat their problems as a game to us. They might think we don't really care for them."

"Do some people really do that?" Natsu asked.

"I'm afraid so." Lucy said.

"That's what makes scan quests so dangerous." Zach said. "If a creature acts hostile towards us, they have every reason to. Of course, it's not all bad."

"What do you mean?" Natsu asked.

"Some creatures have actually become friends with humans and they help us out." Zach said. "I've got a couple friends that are creatures."

"So you can really become friends with creatures? I guess that's good to know." Natsu said. "Well, I want to go back. I want to get a few scans and see more of Perim."

"Take it easy, Natus. Perim is a big place." Erza said. "I'm not really sure if everyone has seen all of it."

"But I like your spirit." Zach said. "That eagerness to take on challenges and get a good scan is a good attitude. So how about you and me head over to Perim and get some scans for ourselves. Only since you're an underworld player, let's head to Underworld City."

"Underworld City?!" Natsu said as he got real excited about that. "Now you're talking."

"Yeah. You can get a lot of great scans there since you favor that tribe. Let's go." Zach said. Natsu didn't wait another second as he went for the transport center with Zach.

"Natsu, be careful. Not all creatures will be so nice and friendly." Lucy said.

"Don't worry. Come on, Zach!" Natsu said.

"Okay. Just stop acting like a kid." Zach said as the three of them.

"That friend of yours certainly has a lot of energy." Erza said.

"I know." Lucy said. "Natsu's a good guy, but I think he has too much energy for his own good."

"Well, while we're waiting for them to return, you want to get something to eat?" Erza asked.

"Sure." Lucy said as she might as well try to kill some time while she's waiting for them.

Perim

Natsu and Zach went back to Perim and went to Underworld City. Natsu was real excited to be in this part of Perim. When they got there, Zach led the way to an ideal place for Natsu.

"Here we are, Natsu. Ulmar's Castle." Zach said.

"Ulmar's Castle..." Natsu said as he took a good look at the place.

"This is where the battlegear for underworlders is kept." Zach said. "Better get a location scan of this place so it be easier to come back." Natsu went ahead with that as he pulled out his scanner and was able to get a scan of the place.

"Sweet. So this is the only scan I can do?" Natsu asked.

"Of a location until you can lock it in." Zach said. "The scanners can only scan one creatue, one location, one mugic, and one battlegear at a time. If you scan a second one, you might delete your first scan. We can just port back to Chaotic and make sure the scans are saved."

"Okay. I think I get it. So you're saying there's a bunch of battlegear in there?" Natsu said.

"Yeah. Come on. Let's find a way in." Zach said as they went on ahead. "Just be careful. Ulmar might not seem like a tough guy, but he is smart and a little dangerous."

"Ulmar? He can't be all that bad." Natsu said as he wasn't aware what he might be walking into. Ulmar was this small little scientist that was working on some battleger right now. Zach and Natsu found a way in and got inside without alerting him.

"That's Ulmar." Zach whispered. "Let's find some battlegear to scan and get out of here fast." Natsu looked around and saw a bunch of battlegear.

"I don't know what to scan." Natsu whispered.

"Just find something you don't have a scan of. Maybe just go with something you already have so you have a backup." Zach whispered. Natsu looked around the battlegear, but he knocked some stuff over and it alerted Ulmar of their presence.

"What are you two doing here?" Ulmar said.

"Um... Hi, Ulmar." Zach said, but Ulmar didn't look happy as he formed fire in his hands.

"You can use fire?!" Natsu said as he liked the looks of that. "Okay. Just hold that pose." He held up his scanner and was about to scan Ulmar.

"Natsu, I don't think that's a..." Zach tried to warn him, but Ulmar already tossed fireballs at them.

...

Chaotic

Lucy and Erza were enjoying their time without the boys. They just finish their meal, but they still don't see the boys.

"They've been gone for a while. I sure hope they're doing okay." Lucy said.

"I'm sure they're fine. Most players are gone for a whole day or more when they're out scanning." Erza said.

"Maybe, but Natsu is still new and tends to get in some trouble." Lucy said. "He's a good guy, but he hardly thinks before acting."

"You seem to care a lot about Natsu." Erza said.

"We've been friends for years. Besides, without me, he probably would have ended up in a hospital a long time ago." Lucy said. "You're probably right. They're probably doing fine."

...

Ulmar's Castle

The girls didn't know how wrong they were. Ulmar kept throwing fire at the two of them and they were doing their best not to get toasted and some parts of the castle were burning.

"Get out! Get out of here!" Ulmar shouted as he kept trying to get them to leave.

"Chill. We just want a few scans. What's so wrong about that?" Natsu said. Ulmar's only response was throwing more fire at him. Natsu dived out of the way and Ulmar noticed some work of his came close to burning.

"No!" Ulmar said as he hurried and tried to put the flames out.

"Natsu, over here!" Zach called as the two of them regrouped. "Let's just get out of here. He's obviously not in the mood for company. We can try other locations."

"I guess." Natsu said as he pulled out his scanner and was about to leave, but he noticed something. He looked up and saw a burning support beam that was about to burn off and fall right on Ulmar. "Ulmar, watch out!" Natsu moved fast and pushed Ulmar out of the way before Ulmar could get crushed by the burning beam.

"My work!" Ulmar said as he noticed some of his stuff burning and the flames were dangerously close to his chemicals. Natsu looked around and spotted a liquilizer. Natsu grabbed a hold of it and used it to put out the flames as he blasted water all around.

"That should do it." Natsu said.

"Natsu? Ulmar? Are you two okay?" Zach said.

"I think so." Natsu said. "What about you, Ulmar? You doing okay?"

"Yeah... What are you two even doing here?" Ulmar said.

"We were just looking to get a few scans." Natsu said as he helped Ulmar up.

"Well, I don't like you humans sneaking into my lab and messing with my stuff!" Ulmar said and he sounded mad. "But...since you just helped me out. I'll allow it one time. Just one time!" Natsu and Zach liked the sound of that.

...

Chaotic

"Check it out." Natsu said as he was showing a couple new scans he got thanks to Ulmar. "Thanks to this, I've got a couple cool new scans."

"Nice work, Natsu." Erza said.

"I'm a little surprised Ulmar let you do this." Lucy said.

"I guess he was a little grateful for helping him out when the fire was getting a little out of control." Zach said. "Of course, we had to promise to never mess with his work again. I've got to say, Natsu, you're really getting the hang of things around here rather quickly."

"Thanks. I can't wait to see more of it." Natsu said. "You know, if you girls want, I'm sure we can get you a couple scans as well."

"Really?" Erza and Lucy said.

"Yeah...if you don't mind getting nearly roasted." Natsu joked. He really is starting to get the hang of thins around here and there's a lot more to come.
