Elizabeth Greengrass was a rational woman, though she was not rational enough to inspect a child appearing in her home before fussing over him completely.

Elizabeth was in the kitchen, making breakfast for her charges, while they lounged about with the exception of Daphne, who was helping her in the kitchen.

Suddenly the wards alerted Cyrus Greengrass, that someone had managed to get past them.

"Impossible..." he muttered.

Daniel Potter owned several quidditch teams and was also an exceptional ward master and curse breaker. One could say the Greengrass manor was impenetrable. Until today...

Daniel grabbed his wand and rushed to the sitting room, where a child no older than 11 with messy black hair and emerald eyes sat on the floor, face slightly swollen from what looked like tears.

"D-Daddy, who's that?" Astoria the middle child stammered.

"I don't know sweetie, stay back!" Cyrus yelled.

"Who are you?" The boy asked.

"The question here is who are YOU? Have you come to harm my family?" Cyrus said, half expecting him to pull a wand on him.

"No? I don't know who you are. How did I get here?"

Cyrus performed a quick diagnostic spell and saw that the boy was fine physically and was quite handsome in Astoria's opinion as she was blushing and hiding her face.

Momentarily deciding the boy was not dangerous he introduced himself.

"Um, hi. I'm Cyrus Greengrass. You are?"

"Hi, I'm Harry Potter."

Cyrus and Astoria staggered back in shock.

"Adam has a brother?" Astoria exclaimed.

"Oh my, you poor dear! Come here!" Elizabeth exclaimed, eager to mother someone other than her two kids.

"Elizabeth, we don't really kno-"

"Nonsense! He has Lily's eyes! Come here, Harry!"

She swept harry up in her arms and dragged him to the kitchen to eat and get him a change of clothes.

Daphne, the eldest, watched Harry with a calculating expression as he was dragged off.

Once Harry was fed, watered, and dressed more appropriately, he was sat at the dinner table with all the Greengrasses.

"So Harry, what brings you here?"

"I don't know really... The last thing I knew I was wishing I had someone to ca- I mean I was reading and I just appeared here.

Elizabeth noticed his hesitation.

The Eldest daughter spoke up.

"You're lying."

The rest of the family gasped.

"Daphne Eliza Greengrass! Do not speak to our guest like that!"

"Well it's true isn't it?"

All eyes darted to Harry, who was rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.

"Well, maybe-I-I am..."

"What were you saying before sweetie?"

Harry not used to this attention stammered for a bit.

"U-um I was wishing I had someone who c-cared for me."

Gasps filled the room again.

"Why is that? That-that's deplorable!"

Harry went on to tell them about his life and being neglected hesitantly.

"That's BARBARIC! I would've never thought Lily and James would do something like this! I'll give those bastards a piece of my mind!" Screamed the Mother in the Greengrass household after Harry had told his relatively uneventful life story.

"Liz, calm down, please. I'm angry myself. I would've thought at least Lily would've come to her senses, James was sweet but always quite clueless."

Well, he's staying here! End of story!

"Yay!" Astoria chanted.

And just like that, Harry Potter found his new family.
