Down in the depths of the underworld, Natsu and Erza were doing some traveling and scanning. They were at some sort of pillar in a cave. Natsu was having a little trouble trying to climb up it.

"Is this really Iron Pillar?" Natsu said. "I had a card copy of the place and it looks very different. Half of it looks more like a giant robot melted in to part of it.

"That's because it is. It's an interesting story that I'll tell you later." Erza said. "It still holds that location effect that blocks battlegear.

"You sure Drakness is somewhere around here?" Natsu said.

"According to my sources, he was last seen somewhere around here." Erza said.

"Great. Should be easy to spot a moving shadow in a dimly lit place like this." Natsu said. They climbed up the pillar and made it to a more stable and easier to move around.

"Keep your eyes open. Drakness could be anywhere." Erza said as they had a look around.

"Help! Help!" Natsu and Erza heard someone calling for help and hurried over to the source. They hurried and found a creature tied up and in some sort of circle.

"Barath Beyond?! I've been wanting to get a scan of him." Natsu said.

"Can you two get me out of here?" Barath Beyond said.

"What happened to you?" Erza asked.

"A human girl grew this magic circle around me and trapped me inside with me being tied up." Barath Beyond said. They look at the circle and didn't really see anything special about it.

"It just looks like lipstick. He really isn't the smartest creature." Erza said.

"I've been stuck here for hours." Barath Beyond said. "She said she was going to get Mommark and have him experiment on me. You're humans. Can you undo this magic circle and get me out of here?"

"It's not magic. You can just walk right out." Erza said.

"Come on, Erza. Let's just help him out." Natsu said. "I might not get Drakness, but I'll at least get a scan of him." Natsu went right over and helped Barath out. While they were doing this, the girl Barath Beyond was talking about was krystal. She just got back and had Mommark with her.

"Barath Beyond is right up there. He's yours to do with. Just remember that I get first dibs scans on your stuff." Krystal said. Mommark used the device on his head and had a look himself.

"You mean the one that's walking down the pillar?" Mommark questioned. Krystal pulled out her scanner and had a look. She zoomed in and spotted Erza and Natsu helping him out as they made their way down the pillar.

"Thanks for the help. Is there anything I can do to return the favor?" Barath Beyond said as they all climbed down.

"No worries. If you wouldn't mind, just hold still." Natsu said as he held out his scanner and got a scan of him. Krystal saw this going on and was pretty upset.

"Sorry. Deal's off. I better get out of here." Mommark said. That was a big chance for Krystal and they ruined it. No way she was just going to let this go.

...

Chaotic

Clyde, the self-claimed greatest chaotic player ever, was up to no good again like he did with Natsu on his first day. he was with a younger kid with his scanner.

"Let me assure you, battling here is different than battling at home. Let me see your deck." Klyde said. The young player placed his scanner in a table and Clyde saw all his cards. "No, no, no. These won't do. Why don't you let me show you what cards would be helpful. Just leave everything to me." He didn't get the chance as Natsu showed up and pulled the scanner out.

"Your "friend" here is really trying to steal all your cards. You're better off staying away from him." Natsu said as he handed back the scanner with the young player sticking his tongue at Clyde before he left.

"Why don't you mind your own business!" Clyde said.

"Meddling with guys like is my business." Natsu said. "I've seen skunks that are nicer. At least they give you a warning before they spray. You also smell worse than that stuff."

"No one talks to me that way. I've got a match now...with you!" Clyde said.

"Fine with me. I still owe you payback after that trick you pulled on me." Natsu said.

"Meet me in the Crellen Drone in one hour." Clyde said and stormed off. No way Natsu was going to lose to him. Once the match was set, Natsu met with Erza and worked on his deck. That was around the time Zach and Lucy showed up.

"Hey, guys." Lucy said.

"What's going on?" Zach said.

"Natsu's been challenged by Clyde." Erza said.

"Clyde? Not that creep." Zach said.

"I'm not afraid of him." Natsu said. "I'll beat him like I do in all my matches. I'll just turn up the heat and beat him down. This also gives me the chance to try my new Barath Beyond scan."

"Natsu, Clyde might be a real jerk, but he does have game." Lucy said. "It might take more than brute strength and fire to beat him." While they were talking this over, Krystal overheard them and saw this as an opportunity.

The Crellen Drone

Clyde was on his way to the drone. When he reached it, Krystal was waiting for him.

"You know, the world would be a lot easier if people learn to just mind their own business. Don't you hate it when people get involved in something that has nothing to do with them?" Krystal said.

"If you have a point, say it or move it." Clyde said.

"What would you say if I told you I have a plan that would put Fire-Dragneel's flames out?" Krystal said.

"I say...I'm listening." Clyde said. Once Natsu showed up at the drone, the two of them were setting up their teams.

"Good luck, Natsu." Lucy said over the scanner.

"Take that jerk down." Zach said.

"No worries." Natsu said as he was confident in his win, but Clyde was too.

"The fools think he'll win." Clyde said with his scanner on Krystal.

"They don't know who they're dealing with. So show them." Krystal said.

"Fire-Dragneel, Chaotic King, lock your decks." Both of them locked their decks and it was a full underworld battle. "Fire-Dragneel, you may attack first." Natsu reached for the spinner and gave it a spin. "The first location...Fear Valley. Choose the attacking and target creatures."

"Chargola attacks Narfall!" They both selected their creatures and became them.

"Don't hold back, Dragneel. Let's have some fun." Narfall said.

"It will be fun to crush you." Chargola said. The battle started with them heading to Fear Valley. Narfall wondered around and kept his eyes open for Chargola. What he didn't see was that Chargola was right above him and had a pyroblaster ready. "Over here!" He got Narfall's attention and blasted him with some fire.

"Shadow Strike!" Narfall's shadow went at Chargola, but he jumped out of the way. He fired more flames at him and scored another hit against Narfall.

"Not so tough anymore, are you?" Chargola said. Chargola unleashed Flame Orb and blasted Narfall with him getting coded real easily.

The Portcourt

"Yes! He got the first win!" Zach said.

"One down, five to go." Lucy said as they were all confident in Natsu's win, but Krystal knew better. It's going exactly as she wanted.

...

The Drone

"Not so tough, are you?" Chargola said as he became Natsu again.

"Don't get cocky. The battle is just starting." Clyde said as he continued with it. "Banshor attacks Pyrithion." Pyrithion fired beams from his eyes and coded Banshor.

"Chargola attacks Skinthia." Chargola used his pyroblaster against her and took her out as well.

"Ulmar attacks Chargola." Ulmar didn't even last very long against Chargola.

"Cyrenox attacks Kopond." Cyrenox was able to finish Kopond off as well. Natsu was able to win every single battle. "If you want to quit, I won't blame you."

"This battle isn't over yet." Clyde said.

"But you only have one creature. Rothar might be tough, but he can't take on all of these guys." Natsu said.

"Let's find out." Clyde said as he chose the next location.

"The next location...Castle Pillar."

"Rothar attacks Chargola." They both selected their creatures and Natsu thought he would win this too, but Clyde thought differently.

The Portcourt

"Natsu's got this." Zach said as they watched Chargola made his way through Castle Pillar and were certain he was going to win, but Lucy was suspicious.

"Something's not right. Doesn't it seem like Clyde's going down too easy?" Lucy said.

"No way. Natsu's going to win. Chargola's wisdom is much higher than Rothar's and that means he'll get the mugician inside." Zach said, but Krystal knew differently.

...

The Battle

"Come out, Rothar. Let's get this over with." Chargola said as he had his pyroblaster ready to go. However, he got surprised as Rothar jumped in front of him and he had a staff in his hands.

"Mindsink!" Rothar launched a beam from his head and blasted Chargola with him getting dizzy. "That should do it. That lowers your wisdom by twenty and this staff of wisdom raises mine by twenty-five. Now Rothar is wiser and that mugician is mine!" Rothar ran on ahead. Chargola put himself together and tried to go after him.

"Get back here!" Chargola called as he hurried after him. Chargola rounded a corner, but he ended up getting blasted by Granite Balls.

"Looking for this?" Rothar said as the mugician went to him. "Melody of Malady!" He already used it and Chargola got caught by the mugic. Rothar gathered some energy and blasted Chargola with it and Chargola ended up getting coded. They went back into the drones and Clyde was feeling really good.

"One down." Clyde said.

"You only have one creature and I still have five." Natsu said.

"Does that really matter?" Clyde said. Natsu isn't aware he's playing right into his hands.

"The next location...The Lava Pond."

"Pyrithion attacks Rothar!" They became their creatures and Pyrithion was ready for when Rothar shows up.

"Let's see him try to win now." Pyrithion said.

"Okay." He looked behind him and saw Rothar spotted him. "Terraport!" He slammed his hands against the ground and caused it to smash against Pyrithion. When he got himself together, he saw he was in Gloomuck Swamp.

"Gloomuck Swamp? How did we get here?" Pyrithion said.

"That's the power of Terraport." Rothar said. "It changes locations based on my location deck...which is filled with Castle Pillar and Gloomuck Swamp! You favor creatures with fire attacks and they get weaker here. It's the opposite for Rothar since he uses earth attacks. As for Castle Pillar, Rothar will have the higher wisdom to gain the mugician thanks to my staff of wisdom. You'll get weaker while I grow stronger!" Clyde believes victory is his now and proved it as he used Rock Wave and coded Pyrithion. Despite the situation, Natsu wasn't going to give up that easily.

"Rothar attacks Cyrenox." They battled in Gloomuck Swamp and he coded Cyrenox.

"Gambreor attacks Rothar!" Gambreor tried, but they were ported back to Castle Pillar and he ended up getting coded there too.

...

The Portcourt

"No!" Zach said. "Natsu was winning, but now Clyde has the perfect balance of brain and brawn. We told him brute strength wouldn't be enough."

"It's like he knows exactly how to counter Natsu." Lucy said.

"Something is wrong. Clyde wouldn't battle like this." Erza said as they were all beginning to see something was wrong, but didn't know what.

"Unless someone told him exactly how he can beat your friend, which I did." All of them looked and spotted Krystal.

"You again?" Lucy said.

"You're the one that gave Clyde this strategy?" Erza said.

"Maybe next time you see a poor helpless creature in trouble, you'll mind your own business." Krystal said. It didn't take Erza long to figure that out.

"Barath Beyond at Iron Pillar! That was you? Why?" Erza said.

"Simple, to get great scans from that nerdy scientist." Krystal said. "Let this be a warning. Don't ever get in my way."

"Natsu can still win." Lucy said.

"But all he's got is Krekk and Barath Beyond. They don't stand a chance against Rothar at either location." Zach said. They crossed Krystal and now Natsu's paying the price. Krekk tried battling back against Rothar, but Rothar ended up blasting Krekk and coded him.

...

The Drone

"All tied up. You can't win. You might as well just give up." Clyde said as he was confident in his win, but Natsu wasn't backing down.

'I can't give up. There's got to be a way to beat him.' Natsu thought as he looked at what he had to work with and spotted the answer. 'That's it!' Now that Natsu knows what to do, he just needs to do it and fast. Natsu selected the location and the creatures. It was Rothar vs. Barath Beyond in Underworld City.

"Come out! Let's get this over with!" Rothar called. He rounded a corner, but he was met with Barath Beyond using a whepcrack and unleashed a powerful fire attack. Rothar got blasted and was knocked down.

"You were saying?" Barath Beyond said.

"You should have surrendered while you could." Rothar said as he was about to use Terraport to change locations and end this, but Barath Beyond acted faster.

"Diminuendo!" Barath Beyond cast mugic before Rothar could acted and he was surrounded by the light.

"Terraport!" Rothar used the attack, but he noticed the effects the mugic had on him and that he was the size of a bug.

"Still think you're large and in charge?" Barath Beyond taunted. Rothar didn't like how this looked and tried running away, but Barath Beyond used Power Pulse and ended up coding him and it was over.

"The winner of the match: Fire-Dragneel."

"No fair! He cheated!" Clyde complained.

"He used his size to his advantage. That's strategy."

"Maybe next time, you'll think twice about messing with people." Natsu said.

...

The Portcourt

Natsu went back to the portcourt and he felt pretty good about his win. He met up with his friends and they felt good as well.

"Nice work, Natsu." Erza said.

"Thanks, but it was a lot tougher than I thought." Natsu said.

"Yeah. We know why." Lucy said. "Do you remember that Krystal I battled a while back? She was the one that gave Clyde the strategy. Erza told us what happened at Iron Pillar and she was the one behind it."

"Those two are a dangerous pair." Zach said.

"We'll have to watch out for them." Erza said and they all felt the same about it.

"Nice plan!" Clyde complained as he walked over to Krystal.

"Get over it. It's only a setback." Krystal said. "We'll get those losers and they'll start seeing things our way and stay out of our way."

"You're cruel, cold hearted, and manipulative." Clyde said. "I'm starting to live you."

"Clyde, I think this might be the beginning of a beautiful, nasty friendship." Krystal said. Clyde thought so too and that means trouble for a lot of people in Chaotic.
