Percy

It's been a few hours since we started flying. Leo and Calypso are currently engrossed in a conversation ( only Leo, Calypso was enjoying the view but also listening to bits of what Leo was talking about) about pancakes, his last topic was waffles. oh gods, how stupid can a conversation be? and to think that I have to tolerate all of this. I've been thinking of Daphne all time, but kept listening to bits of the stupid conversation Leo and Calypso were having (more likely Leo). I kept questioning myself would Daphne recognize me ? or see me as a complete stranger?Will she not be willing to come with us? what would we do then? should we have taken piper along with us? should we go back to collect Piper? I suddenly broke away from my thoughts as we were descending to what looked like a park with dense trees. The sun was shining brightly and it looked like it was midday. 'We're stopping for lunch' Leo announced and pulled out a grill and started to grill burgers and toast buns at the same time. Me and Calypso just talked, most of our talks were awkward. When we first talked after Leo saved her from Ogygia)she talked to me like she was meeting me for the first time. We didn't have to talk long because a few minutes later Leo announced that lunch was ready. While we were having lunch I blurted out a question to no one in particular 'What if she doesn't want to come with us?' Leo and Calypso stopped eating and looked at me and blurted out two random answers at the same time 'we threaten to kill her if she doesn't come' and 'we tell her if she doesn't come with us she'll get killed'. I just stared at Leo like he had just grown another head. 'Let's not do either of those, we'll reason with her and if she has common sense she might understand what danger she is in and come with us' I say. They nod and I ask Leo 'Will we reach the L.A today?' He talks to Festus (in Morse code) and say 'Maybe, Festus needs rest so do we. We'll continue after a few hours'. I nod and watch as Leo quickly finish his burger and take some motor oil and Tabasco sauce mix it and give it to Festus.

(A few hours later)

They were in the sky again. The sun was starting to set, once again I was lost away in my thoughts,but I was rudely interrupted by Leo asking me 'Hey,Perce you'll be the one talking to the new demigod' 'uh?...yea..sure... ?' I replied without thinking. 'sorry, you just agreed' Leo said smirking. 'Fine' I grumbled 'are we there yet' I whined. 'we will be...in a few minutes' Leo replied casually. A few minutes later we were landing, 'do you think we should go today'? Calypso asked 'No, not today we'll go tomorrow morning' I say. Leo cooks us dinner we eat and I take first watch I was lost in thoughts as Leo and Calypso were sleeping. I stare into the trees and see a figure in a dark cloak walking towards me. I immediately grabbed riptide and started walking towards the figure. the figure was walking closer to me and stopped when we were 5 feet apart and said 'Please, help me' barely a whisper. I was shocked I recognized the voice it was 'D-Daphne?' I asked. 'How do you know my name? yet your voice sounds really familiar' she asked confused. 'It's me,Percy' I reply. 'you mean the one I see in my dreams?' she asked walking closer towards me 'yes' I replied without hesitation. 'I didn't know you lived here' she said smiling '...but, if you did we would have met up somewhere' she added frowning 'actually I don't live here' I say. She eyed me closely and hugged me. I was off guard so I was standing there frozen in place, but then I regained my senses and hugged her back. But then I heard someone snigger behind me. I turned and saw Leo with a smirk and Calypso smiling at us. We quickly pulled apart blushing 'aww, did we interrupt you two lovebirds?' Leo asked 'We're not lovebirds, and you did interrupt us' I say. 'Percy?...who are they?' Daphne asked 'Oh, these are my-' I started but was rudely interrupted by Leo saying 'We're Percy's friends I'm Leo this is my girlfriend Calypso' 'Hi, I'm Daphne' Daph says. 'You must be Percy's girlfriend' Calypso says. 'I'm not his-' Daphne starts but Leo interrupted again 'Don't be so modest, we know that you two like each other even if you two haven't met in person, Percy dreams about you every day' 'Can we talk about something else?' I asked getting uncomfortable with this topic. 'Why are you guys here if you don't live here?' Daphne asks 'We...um...Leo can explain everything' I say. Leo glares at me but explains anyway 'Daph can I call you that? OK thanks. we came to collect you-' 'Me?' asks a confused Daphne. 'yes, you you're a demigod' Leo continues. 'I'm a what?' Daph asks 'You're a demigod, it means that you're half god half human' Calypso explains slowly. 'What kind of trick is this?' Daphne asks now really confused 'It's not a trick it's true, do you know about Greek gods?' I ask Daph nods 'good now they exsit really Leo and me are demigods' I explain. Her eyebrows furrow and then she asks 'what about Calypso?' 'I'm not a demigod I'm the daughter of Atlas' Calypso explains. 'atlas...do you mean the titan?' Daphne asks Calypso nods. 'And I'm a demigod?' Daph asks. the three of us nod. 'Well then let's get going ,shall we?' Daphne asks. Me and Calypso look at Leo. 'wait just a minutes' he says and goes to Festus. meanwhile Daphne turns to me and asks 'Who is your godly parent?' 'Posedion' I reply 'and Leo?' she asks 'Hephaestus' I answer. 'So where do you really live?' Daphne asks 'New York' I reply 'Cool' Daph says. There was a question I had from the moment she walked to me 'Daphne, what were you doing here?' I ask, but immediately regret asking the question because of the look on Daphne's face. 'M-my mother,she...' Daph trailed off and I could see tears forming in the eyes. Calypso and I go embrace her 'it's fine we don't want you to explain' I we feel a pair of arms embracing us. We pulled back in shock and saw Leo smiling 'can we go' I ask. he nods.'but only three people can ride Festus, right?' Leo looks shocked but then he nods. Suddenly I get an idea. 'Leo you and Calypso can ride Festus' I say 'but what about you and Daphne? Leo asks 'you'll see' I say with a smirk and then turn to Daphne and ask 'is there a beach here?' she nods and I ask her 'can you take me there' she nods again. I turn to Leo and say 'You two follow us on Festus' he nods and then I turn to Daphne and say 'lead the way'. she starts walking. We walk for a couple of minutes and reach a beach. I whistle and a creature emerges from the water. I turn and see Daphne look at it in awe.
