"Sekai!" Cry cried out, his heart shattering into a million pieces. But Sekai could no longer hear his pitiful cries as her begged her to stay with him. She was dead. Kai felt as her ragged breathing suddenly come to a standstill, which made his cries even louder, as he moved to start compressing her chest, begging her to come back.
Her father was in disbelief at what had happened. He had killed his own daughter...
Kai's cries grew louder and Cole found himself closing his mouth. It was still open in disbelief. The girl with piercing blue eyes was trained onto him and he felt something stir inside him.. something that he only felt when he was alone with Kai... He took Kai's shaking hands in his. "Kai, she's gone." He whispered quietly as he looked up at the once strong and undefeatable ninja. Oh how frail and fragile he was now. "Kai." He repeated again. He was shaking. He was sobbing so hard no sound came from his body at first, he was just shaking and the tears were falling.
When the gasp and the cries reached Cole's ears he felt another piece of himself chip away. He pulled Kai to his chest, letting him bury his brown spikes into his chest.
Kai pulls away wiping his eyes and turned to the Uncle that abused him for so long he could remember. He pulls himself to his feet, and a spark is set ablaze inside him. But instead of the warmth of fire, all he can feel is the burn of it. He is so angry he feels the flames at his feet, and if Cole had only been an itch closer he would've burned himself. He scoots back, to where the others had been watching. Nya mouth is open and calls out to Kai, but he cannot hear her.
"What have you done?" He says in a dark tone. This is not Kai. This is the lost soul who now has turned to revenge and darkness...instead of light. Flame daggers appear in Kai's hands as he take a step closer to Hakai. "You killed my mother, my father, and now my cousin... my best friend." He speaks darkly as he takes another step. Cole looks around to the others on what to do and then he takes a step forward and grabs Kai's hand. He feels the burn of the purple blue and red flames that dance around him, but it soons ebbs away as Kai turns towards him. He eyes are glazed over, the green color Cole had come to love now a eery red. Without thinking Cole reaches up, grabs his gi and kisses Kai.
He hears the surprise gasps of the teammates behind him, but he doesn't care. He was tired of hiding his feelings for the red gi colored ninja any longer
Cole had always known he had a thing for Kai. Ever since Sensei Wu had introduced them to him at the very beginning. Something about his brown spikey hair and green kind eyes he had known. But he didn't quite know what it was until Kai had turned up missing. His heart had ached from being away from him for so long. He didn't know how Kai had felt towrards him, because he had once been so in love with Skylor.
Cole's lips were hesitant against Kai's, and the rush of blood to his cheeks were almost the same temperature as Kai's hot lips, but it is only when Kai's lips move against Cole's to kiss him back, that Cole realizes Kai's feelings toward him. Kai pulls away, even though Cole doesn't want him to at all, and he feels Kai fall against him, exhausted. Cole catches him before he falls, and the blush fades from his cheeks.
