Lucky was beginning to loose the feeling in her legs and ass. They drove through at least five towns, she counted every time they passed a sign with a new name. Finally he stopped the bike, cutting the engine and pulling his key out. She let out a sigh of relief and let go of him. They where outside of a motel in a small town they had just entered, the road outside was covered in brown dirt and there was hardly any other buildings around.

Lucky slid of the back of the bike and groaned as she cracked her neck, the drive here had been harsh on her back and ass. "Where are we?" She asked in a tired winey voice looking around and pouting at the almost baron town, it was nothing like where she stayed the night before.

Bucky got off the bike not at all phased by the long ride, he bent down and grabbed his bag that had been attached to the side of the bike. He looked up at the motel and frowned at the blinking lights on the sign, it wasn't the best place but he knew she would benefit from a break. "I don't know but we will figure that out later" He told her before disappearing into the building. Lucky stayed outside and looked around the small dusty town she kicked her foot against the floor sending dust flying through the air, she pulled a face as some of it blew back onto her skin.

She looked up at the sky to try and work out the time, the sun was beginning to set and the sky was bright orange, she shielded her eyes with her hand as she looked over the small place. There where a couple of buildings dotted around and a few smaller structures she guest where houses. It was quiet, hardly somewhere they would go unnoticed. After a few minutes Bucky appeared again this time with a key in his hand, he gestured for her to follow him. She had to take two steps for every one step he took as he marched through a corridor. "Why did you come back for me?" She asked as she jogged behind him trying to keep up.

He looked at the number on the key and looked up at a door in front of him. He chose to ignore her as he jammed the key into the door and pushed it open. He pulled his face at the dingy room, the walls where grey and it had one double bed on the back wall and a small TV opposite, but given the lack of choice it would have to do for the night. He walked in and threw his bag down on the floor and stood with his hands on his hips.

"I told you everything I know" She wined as she followed him inside.

"What's your real name" He asked catching her off guard. He turned to look at her and she stood there with a clueless look on her face.

"I... I don't have one" She stuttered.

"Everyone has a real name" He dead panned.

She frowned at his attitude. "I don't remember" She snapped finally turning around to push the door closed behind her.

Bucky stood with his arms crossed looking down at her, she had her back against the door. She felt vulnerable around him and still didn't understand why she was here with him, truth be told her terrified her. Bucky looked her up and down before meeting her gaze again. "What does your boss call you?" He asked curiously hoping it would refresh her memory.

She pulled at the hem of her dress nervously and looked down. "My soldier" she mumbled the nickname he had given her, the only name she could remember. Her head jolted up when she heard Bucky snigger. "Why are you laughing?" She asked defencelessly.

He smirked and shook his head. "Oh nothing" His voice dripping sarcasm, "Just... I thought you said you two where in love and he couldn't come up with a better name than that, it's not even a name" He laughed, she gritted her teeth together in anger, if he wasn't one hundred times stronger than her she would of hit him, but she knew it wouldn't even hurt.

She glared at him as he stood smirking at her. "At least someone loves and cares about me" she bit back venomously. "Didn't your best friend leave you to go be with some woman he knew for two minutes?" She asked with a bitchy smile of her own. "With you til' the end of the line. We all heard the story, It's pathetic" She mocked a New York accent.

Bucky's smirk fell and was replaced with a scowl of his own. "Steve did what he needed to do, that's none of my business" He stated bluntly, ignoring the fact her comment had caught him off guard and hurt.

She rolled her eyes at him. "Whatever. Thanks for the quick exit but I'll be on my way now" She snapped before turning and putting her hand on the door handle. A second didn't even pass before Bucky was behind her with his hand on top of hers stopping her from opening the door.

"You're not leaving" He said in a low threatening tone.

She let out a tiny laugh "So I'm your hostage now?" She asked as she pushed his hand off hers and turned to face him, he let go of her and took a step away putting distance in-between them.

He knew he needed her, she could come in useful. "If you leave they will find you, without me you have no protection" He told her realistic, his tone had changed slightly. She scowled at him, she was confused one minute he looked like he wanted to kill her the next he was saying he wanted to protect her, she didn't understand his bi-polar attitude at all.

Bucky realised how threatening his stance was and backed off more giving her some space. "And what's in it for you?" She asked in a quite voice. Bucky said nothing just remained staring at her. It suddenly occurred to her what he must want and she smiled sadly. "Oh I see, you want to use me for information. Well sorry pal, I know nothing" She snapped viciously.

Bucky sighed and took a step forward placing his hand on her shoulder, she flinched as his real skin came into contact with hers. "You know nothing yet, I can help you remember" He offered, she noticed his face looked a lot softer now, his eyes more relaxed.

"No thanks" She snapped, she didn't know why she wouldn't accept his help, all she knew is this whole situation was terrifying to her. She pushed his hand off her shoulder and he quickly grabbed her by her wrists and spun her around using a cable tie to bind them together. He'd tricked her into letting her guard down "Are you serious?" She shrieked as he dragged her over to a pipe on the wall effortlessly, He used a second tie to attach her to it making sure to pull it tight.

"Can't let you leave sorry" He said with a smile as he backed away from her.

She pulled at the pipe with no luck, she knew she wasn't going anywhere. "Bucky you son of a bitch, cut it now!" She shouted in rage.

Bucky smiled at the feisty girl. "No can do doll" He said with a wink. Her mouth fell open, who was this cocky man and where the hell was the brooding Bucky Barnes she had met weeks ago. Bucky sauntered over to the door with a proud smirk on his face.

"Where are you going?" She asked in a high pitch voice still worked up from being tied down.

"I'll be back soon, don't go anywhere" He joked her as he exited the room slamming the door shut behind him.

"Mother fucker" He heard her shout from behind the door. He smiled and began walking down the road.

Bucky had been out for about an hour in that time he had picked up food and he'd worked out they where in a small town called Enero. After speaking with some locals he learnt there was a small airport about a twenty minute drive from here, private planes and small cargo. Bucky thought of how much easier it would be to acquire one of those instead of driving back to America via his rented motorcycle, if they where in the air they would have less chance of being caught.

The orange sky was now tuning a dark shade of blue. He smirked to himself and let out a little laugh remembering how angry Lucky was when he left, so small and angry it was almost adorable. He wasn't being cruel on purpose, he even told himself it was for her own good. She was volatile and a risk, he knew he couldn't trust her but he also knew he needed her. It played on his mind that the two of them where not so different, she didn't remember anything, it was hardly her fault for all he knew HYDRA could of tortured her like they did him.

As he made his way back to the motel all he could do was think about her. The more he thought about it the more suspicious he was, she didn't seem to be under any kind of brain washing, it's like she was willingly working for them but at the same time feared them. He knew he wanted to get to the bottom of it, and maybe even help her like she could help him. The only problem was he couldn't trust that she won't try to kill him the first opportunity she gets.

He finally arrived back at cheap motel and looked at the door of the room they where staying in. He sighed and pulled out his cell phone heading straight to his contact list which consisted of four people, he dialled Sam who picked up after one ring. "Bucky" a voice shot out from the other end of the phone.

"Sam, I found her" He told him sounding proud.

"Is she.." Sam's voice trailed off and Bucky forehead wrinkled into a frown.

"No I didn't.." He began, he let out a frustrated sigh through his nose, why did people always assume the worst of him?. "I didn't kill her if that's what your asking. She is with HYDRA Sam she knows things, she can't remember right now but she will and when she does it could help us take them down for good" Bucky explained blurting out his words quickly.

"Where are you?" Sam asked.

"Mexico some town called Enero" Bucky said bluntly.

"Shit.. okay, you need me there?" Sam asked.

"No, stay put. I'm brining her back to America" Bucky told him. Bucky reached the motel and stood outside of it leaning against his bike.

"How are you going to board a plane, HYDRA will see if you two book on a flight they will be watching you both for transactions and anything digital" Sam explained, Bucky rolled his eyes, he knew he couldn't fly commercially not now he knew they where close she would be to easy a target on a plane. He remembered about the small airport and how maybe he could acquire a plane there.

"II have a plan it might take a couple of days but once we're back I need your help protecting her" He said quickly.

"I'll be waiting for you to arrive. Are HYDRA after her too?, why are we protecting her she tried to kill you?" Sam asked still not understanding the whole thing.

Bucky nodded. "It seems that way, they arrived shortly after me, I only just got her out. We're protecting her because she could know things and she could be useful to us" He told him bluntly.

Sam chuckled. "Well she can hold her own in a fight I wouldn't worry too much." He told him. "Don't get attached Buck and do not trust her" he warned.

"She's powerless" Bucky said ignoring his other comment, why on earth would he get attached, he hardly knew the woman he thought to himself.

Sam laughed again. "She put you down pretty good, I doubt that" He said in a teasing tone remembering how he found Bucky on the floor of his apartment.

Bucky rolled his eyes at his annoying friend. "It's a long story I'll explain all in a few days when I get there" He told him.

"So let me get this straight. Two days ago your cute neighbour was trying to kill you on behalf of HYDRA and now she wants to help you take down HYDRA?" Sam asked his tone sounding like a mixture of teasing and confusion.

Bucky bit his lip and pulled a face "She's... warming to the idea" He lied trying not to smile at the thought of her tied up in the motel.

"Alright if you say so, I'll be waiting for an update" Sam said.

"Bye Sam" Bucky hung up and slip the cellphone back into his pocket. He swung a plastic bag around his wrist that was filled with food he had bought earlier and looked over at the door wondering what creative insults waited on the other side. He walked over to the door smiling again, something about this whole situation made him feel alive again, it felt … nice.

As soon as he stepped through the door a shoe was flung at him, Lucky used her feet to throw it. It missed him and hit the wall next to him, he didn't even bat an eyelid. "Nice too see you too" He said in a jolly voice ignoring the pathetic attack.

Lucky was sat exactly where he had left her, that pleased him she hadn't managed to find a way out. Her hair was messy with pieces stuck her face, her icy blue eyes staring daggers at him, her cheeks where red. "Fuck you" She spat back at him through her clenched teeth.

He smiled at her again ignoring her curse. "Hungry?" He asked dropping the bag in front of her, she looked down at it and then back up at him, she was surprised but hid it well.

"No" she lied trying to ignore the smell coming from the bag, it smelt delicious and she hadn't eaten in hours.

He grinned to himself. "Liar" He muttered, she glared at him in response. He walked over to her and pulled a knife from his belt, her eyes widened as she saw his leaning towards her with it. Her heart began to beat rapidly, he slowly lent behind her and cut one of the ties freeing up one of her hands so she could eat. He stood back up and shoved the knife back in his belt before walking over to the bed to sit on it. Lucky didn't take her eyes off him as he began to eat his food, she was mentally thinking of ways she could escape this man. He noticed her staring and rolled his eyes. "Hunger strike isn't going to work sweetheart, I'll force feed you if I have to" He told her in a cocky tone.

She smiled at him sweetly. "Come anywhere near me and I will bite you, that's a promise" she threatened with the smile still on her face, he laughed.

"I think I'll survive" He said with a wink. Her smile dropped and she went back to sulking. Bucky finished his food and sat back on the bed getting himself comfy. "I'm not the bad guy here Lucky" He reasoned as he nestled into the bed.

She raised her brows at him "Oh really, you fooled me" she bit back raising her arm that was tied to the pipe.

"I want to try and help you. You have gaps in your memory right? So did I maybe I can help you and you can use what you know to help me take h-" before he could finish she cut him off.

"I don't need your help" She spat.

He sighed at the unreasonable woman annoyed she wouldn't just hear him out "You failed your mission and now Hydra has a bounty on your head, you have no power, no resources and no friends... do you really want to decline my help?" He asked genuinely. Bucky was conflicted himself about this whole situation, he knew she hated him and he didn't particularly like her either, not after she lied. He needed her to remember but he also found himself wanting to help her, there was something about her that reminding him of himself.

She swallowed and looked up at him. She knew she needed his help "Well I don't really have a choice do I" She said finally.

Bucky smiled at her "That's the spirit" He said in a fake jolly voice that annoyed her even more. "Eat up and sleep we are heading out in the morning" He told her as he rolled over in the bed to lie down facing away from her still fully clothed with his boots on.

Her mouth dropped open "Well... aren't you going to cut me loose?" she asked in a high pitched voice, Bucky didn't answer. "We where on that death trap of yours for hours, my back is killing me. You can't expect me to sleep like this" She added sounding more winey.

Bucky smiled but didn't turn to look at her. This is how he would get his revenge for her being difficult he thought to himself. "So you can wait until I sleep and run?" He asked, she didn't respond. He lent over and switched the bedside table lamp off leaving them both in darkness. "Night doll" He said in a soft voice.

She gritted her teeth, she swore to herself could hear him smiling "You cocky asshole" She muttered as she tried to shimmy down the pipe a little to lie on the ground. Maybe accepting his help was one of the worst decisions she had ever made, or maybe not shooting him when she had the chance was … she was still undecided, all she knew was her back was going to kill in the morning.

"Who the hell is Bucky? You're the Winter Soldier remember. You are A Murderer, Soldat"

Bucky gasped and bolted upright in bed, his breathing was heavy and for a second he didn't know where he was. His wide eye where darting around the dark room as his heart beat rapidly against his chest. "Fuck" He whispered to himself, realising it was just another dream. He ran his real hand through his hair, it was filled with sweat. He swallowed hard and look a deep breath in an attempt to calm himself down. He kicked the bed cover off his legs. "Get out of my head Stark" He whispered to himself in a groggy voice as he slid out of the bed. He walked into the bathroom and flicked the light on. He caught a glimpse of his reflection before he splashed his face with cold water, he looked rough. As he wiped his face with a towel he stared into the reflection of his own eyes "You're name is Bucky Barnes" He reminded himself in a stern voice.

"Bucky?" He heard a quiet voice call.

He opened the bathroom door and the light dimly lit up the bedroom, He looked down at Lucky who was lead awkwardly on the floor. "s'nothin, go back to sleep" He told her softly as he dropped the towel on the bathroom counter.

Her eyes fluttered open and shut, she was exhausted. "My arm really hurts" She whined as she closed her eyes and rested her head back against the floor. Suddenly she felt Bucky metal hand around her wrist, he used two fingers to break the cable tie releasing her from the pipe.

She opened her eyes and sat up slowly. She looked at her wrist that now had a purple ring around it, she rubbed it where tie had dug in. She looked up at Bucky, his face was half lit and his hair was wet, his chest was moving up and down quickly still from the dream. "Don't run" He told her almost sounding breathless.

Her forehead wrinkled in confusion, she wondered what was wrong with him but knew she shouldn't ask. "I won't" she whispered simply, choosing to ignore the state he was in. He nodded and walked back over to the bed sitting on it his legs overhanging on the side.

She slowly got up from the floor and stretched her back and arms until she heard a crack. Bucky looked up at her when she moved. "I gotta pee, calm down" She mumbled in a sleepy voice as she stumbled over to the bathroom.

He sat on the edge of the bed with his head in his hands. He'd been so busy with this mission he hadn't given his demons a second thought when he was awake, he loved it but unfortunately the same couldn't be said when he fell asleep. Suddenly he heard foot fall coming from outside the room, his ears pricked up ... boots … men's boots, they where getting closer. He looked up just as the door flew open as a result of a man kicking it in. "Lucky stay in there" Bucky yelled as he jumped up, two men stood in the doorway both holding guns up to him.

One of the men smiled a sick smile, enjoying the moment. "Soldat" he greeted him by his HYDRA name.

Bucky stared at the two men and held his hands in the air as a sign of surrender. He was weighing up how he was going to take them both down without getting shot in the head. Suddenly the bathroom door clicked open. "What was the bang?" She called out in the same sleepy voice she was that tired she didn't even hear him shout. She froze when she saw the men standing in the doorway with their guns on Bucky. One man turned his gun to her, Bucky threw himself in front of her pushing her back into the bathroom. She fell back and landed on the floor throwing her arms out to break the fall.

Bucky grabbed the gun from the man's hand and twisted it breaking his wrist in the process, the man screamed in pain and dropped to his knees. The other man aimed at Bucky's head but before he could shoot Bucky used the gun in the man's hand and shoot him dead, a bullet straight between his eyes. He didn't even flinch as he turned back to the man who was on he knees in front of him.

He snatched the gun completely out of the man's useless hand and pushed him to the ground. The man was curled over in front of him clutching at his deformed wrist. "How did you find us?" He spat aiming the gun at the man's head, Lucky watched as Bucky stood over the man holding the gun, the look in his eyes was animalistic something she had never seen, not even when they had fought. It was like was a different person.

The man managed to compose himself from crying in pain and looked up at the winter soldier. "Hail Hydra" He spat back knowing his fate was already sealed. In a fit of rage Bucky dropped the gun and lent forward grabbing the man by his head and twisted it breaking his neck, the man' lifeless body hit the floor with a thud. He stood staring at the man with wide eyes, his breathing was heavy and adrenaline was coursing through his veins.

Lucky's hand flew up to cover her mouth, her stomach curled at the sound of the snap. She knew she had killed people but she had never seen anything as vicious at that.

Bucky turned to her and his expression immediately softened when he saw the fear on her face. She was sat on the floor looking up at him wide eyed, her breathing was erratic, she didn't know what scared her more at this point, Hydra or the assassin stood in front of her.

He stepped forward and knelt in front of her placing his human hand on her cheek, she flinched in fear. "You're okay, c'mon" He whispered softly moving his hand to hers he pulled her up off the floor. He lead and she followed him out of the room stepping over the two dead body's. Bucky grabbed his bag and closed the door behind them leaving the mess for the maid to find. They both quickly made there way to the motorcycle that was parked out front, Lucky felt like she'd lost the ability to speak. "How the hell did they find us so quick?" Bucky whisper shouted shaking his head, not understanding.

Lucky stopped in her tracks and her eyes widened as she realised how, she froze as Bucky frantically tied his back to the side of the bike for a quick get away. He looked up and noticed her just standing there. "Your phone" She said in a small fearful voice.

He frowned and stood up right "What?" He asked in a confused tone furrowing his brow.

She began to feel hot and her heart was beating against her chest almost painfully "I... I put a tracker on your phone" she blurted out, she saw the look of shock on his face. "Not recently.. it was a while ago the night you attacked me in my apartment" she went on. "Your phone fell out of your pocket, I bugged it and gave it back to you" she finally finished. Bucky closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose … and to think he thought she was just forgiving, of course she had a motive.

He couldn't help himself "Fuck" He yelled as a wave or rage swept over him.

She stood in front of him nervously. "I'm so sorry" She whispered her eyes welling up with tears.

He closed his eyes and gritted his teeth forcing himself to take a few deep breaths to calm down before he did something he might later regret. He finally opened his eyes and looked at her. "We need to move" he said simply grabbing her wrist and pulling her over to the motorcycle.

She winced when he grabbed her bruised wrist. "Bucky your hurting me". She cried, He didn't want to hear her voice and more, he ragged her and pushed her against the bike, she fell into it and grabbed hold so she didn't fall to the floor.

"Anything else I need to know?" He growled stepping closer to her like an animal cornering it's pray. She didn't say anything she didn't even dare to make eye contact with him. She heard him smash his phone against the floor, crushing it with the heel of his boot until it was dust. "I nearly got shot in the head protecting you so talk" He said a little louder pointing at her with a metal finger.

She suddenly felt rage of her own, she gritted her teeth and pushed him against his chest, he didn't move an inch. "You kidnapped me remember. I didn't ask for your help and I did not ask you to jump in front of a gun for me" she didn't realise until she was done talking that hot tears where rolling down her cheeks.

Bucky closed his eyes and took a step away from her. "Fuck" He whispered again.

She bit her lip. "I said I was sorry, OK" She reasoned trying to steady her voice, Bucky didn't even look at her he stared in the direction of the room they had just ran from that now contained two dead bodies. "Did you ever do something you didn't want to?" She cried pathetically.

He spun around to face her again. "I was under mind control this isn't the same. You've not been brain washed, brain wiped maybe... but at least you have the will to make your own decisions. You would do anything to please your master" He spat viciously pointing at her as he spoke.

"I don't have a master" she cried.

He scoffed. "Yeah right you have Stockholm syndrome written all over you. I see that hurt look in your eye when ever you mention Tom Decker. Well news flash sweetheart he wiped your memory and used you, now he wants you dead. He doesn't care he never did" Bucky mocked.

She slapped him across his face surprising herself, her palm stung more than Bucky's face hurt, she hadn't thought about that. "All you want to do it use me. I hate you" She cried as more tears fell from her eyes. "You know nothing about me" She spat.

Bucky rubbed his cheek and smiled at her. "Neither do you" He said quietly.

She was shocked, she had to swallow the lump in her throat to stop herself from sobbing, she couldn't believe him. "Fuck you Bucky Barnes" She managed to get out before pushing past him and storming off down the road.

Only a couple of minutes later Bucky rode up and stopped his bike in front of her and stepped off it holding out her helmet. "Stop following me, I'd rather HYDRA capture me and kill me than spend another second with you" She sobbed trying to walk around him, he blocked her path until she stopped. She sighed and looked up at him "Please leave me alone" She pleaded, her cheeks where puffy and red and her eyes where heavy and wet.

He shook his head suddenly feeling bad, he knew he'd lost his temper and he knew she was frightened of him. "No.. I can't sorry, I need you and I think you need me" he told her softly, he offered her the helmet again.

"Don't" She begged but he ignored her holding it out until she finally took it.

"We need to move, Hydra know where here. It's not safe any more" He told her sternly. She tucked her hair behind her ears and put the helmet on. She froze when he held out his black leather jacket in front of him. "Put this on. For protection" He ordered. She slowly took the leather from him and pulled it around her body, zipping it up all the way. It was far to big for her but it was snug and warm, maybe that was his way of trying to apologise she thought to herself, not that it mattered he was no less terrifying.

Bucky jumped back on the bike and looked at Lucky nodding for her to get on, she finally walked over and slid onto the back sheepishly wrapping her arms around his waist, once she held him tightly he set off at a fast pace to get them as far away as he possibly could. She couldn't stop herself from crying silently on the back of the bike as she clung to the man she was scared off. Never in her life had she felt so confused, not that she could remember anyway.

Hi everyone just a few things

First... Cocky Bucky is my fave, I hope we get to see him smile more in FATWS I'd love to see some of that old Bucky charm return.

This chapter is a little shorter because the next chapter will be pretty long. So please let me what you think so far.

I also failed to mention when I originally started this story that I have a type of Dyslexia so it is hard for me sometimes to put things into words and even more spell the words. (Please if you see any spelling mistakes point them out, I use spellcheck but sometimes it can miss them)

I know my story and I know what is going to happen but it takes me a while to write, and then I spend maybe two days reading it over and over trying to perfect it. So if you are sticking with my story thank you so much, I really love to write and I believe it really helps me get better with my issue. Sorry for the long note.

Next chapter has been written and in the process of being read over and over.
