There's more than one way to get the scans that you want. Some just prefer the old fashion way. Natsu decided to do that as he paid a visit to Perim. He looked around a cavern to try and find something.

"There!" Natsu said as he spotted an underworld mugic embedded in a rock. "I really hope that's the Consuming Cacophony. That mugic would be a big help to me." Natsu took out his scanner and tried to get a scan of it, but it was interrupted as an attack landed near him and knocked him down. "What the heck?"

"Thanks!" Natsu looked and spotted Rothar and he was taking the mugic for himself. "I've been looking for this mugic. It turns out you humans are useful for some things. So long." Rothar took the mugic and ran off.

"Hey! You get back here! I just want to scan that thing!" Natsu called as he hurried after Rothar, but Rothar was a stubborn one.

...

Chatotic

While Natsu was away on his little scanning trip, the others were in Chaotic and were enjoying some battles. One battle they watched was between two creatures named Shimmark and Kraade. Shimmark attacked with Shriek Shock, but Kraade formed a barrier and blocked the attack.

"Bruno's not doing so well. That Ethan has taken complete control of the battle." Zach said.

"You can say that again." Lucy said. Kraade fought back with Inferno Gust and blasted Shimmark with it and ended things by using Confusion with the battle ending. Bruno was a jock-like guy that wasn't happy and Ethan was this other guy that looked real cool and smug about his battle.

"That looked brutal." Zach said. "Bruiser Bruno just got bruised."

"He'll get over it." Erza said. Once they looked away, Natsu came back and he didn't look happy himself. "I see Bruno isn't the only one upset. What's wrong?"

"I finally found that Consuming Cacophony mugic." Natsu said. "That mugic would be real great to have in my deck. Just as I was about to scan it, Rothar showed up and he stole the mugic before I could scan it."

"That is a great mugic and would be perfect for Natsu since it has an added effect with fire." Zach said. "Finding it isn't easy since it is super rare."

"I...want...that...mugic!" Natsu said as he banged on the table. Just then, his scanner was alerting him about a call and he saw it was a friend of his.

"Hey, Natsu. I've got good news. I found someone that has a scan of Consuming Cacophony. He'll trade it, but he wants a scan of a danian named Gorram. He needs it in about five hours for a drome match."

"Great! I'll get it!" Natsu said as he got ahead of himself and ended the call. "Zach, you know this Gorram, right? Give me a scan of him."

"I would ask for a please, but you're out of luck." Zach said. "Gorram is a powerful danian and super rare. I don't have a scan of him. I would love to have him in my deck, but I haven't been able to find him."

"Well, don't you know someone that does have him? I really want that mugic." Natsu said. Zach tried to think it over.

"Actually, I do know this one girl who has him. Her name is Pam. She's been wanting to trade me her Gorram for my Kolmo." Zach said.

"Great! So just go make the trade and get me that scan." Natsu said.

"No way!" Zach said. "I've only got one scan of him when he was a danian. Kolmo is a mipedian that was changed into a danian. His danian version is the one Pam wants, but he was changed back into a mipedian a while back. You can't get a scan of him as a danian anymore and I'm not giving mine up."

"But there must be something we can do. That mugic would be perfect for me to have." Natsu said.

"You're in luck." Erza said. "I know this one girl named Alice who has a scan of him as well. She's been wanting to trade it for a Riverland Moon scan."

"What's that?" Natsu asked.

"A piece of battlegear that I have, but I'm not giving mine up." Erza said.

"You don't have to. You can just port to the Riverlands and go get another scan." Natsu said.

"Easier said than done. They're not easy to find." Erza said. Erza didn't want to go looking for it, but she could see Natsu was upset about this and felt like she had to help. "I do suppose I could go and look."

"Great! Zach, call that friend of yours for the trade." Natsu said.

"I can't. She doesn't have her transport code yet." Zach said. "I would have to port home and make the trade."

"Fine. Here's what we'll do." Natsu said. "Zach will port home and trade his Kolmo scan for Pam's Gorram. Meanwhile, Erza will port to the Riverlands and get a second scan of the Riverland Moon. She'll trade it with this Alice for her Kolmo danian scan and give it to Zach so Zach will give me that Gorram scan so I can trade it for the Consuming Cacophony. We've got less than five hours to do this."

"Give me one good reason why we should even do this for a mugic that you want?" Zach said.

"Because Lucy's my best friend that will help, Erza is a supportive friend, and since you're the only guy, I can pummel you if you don't." Natsu said. Zach could see Natsu was getting irritated and backed down.

"Fine. I'll hurry home." Zach said.

"And I'll head to the Riverlands." Erza said as they both headed to the port system and Natsu left it in their hands.

"Okay, if you can actually plan all that and pull this off, why are you having trouble at school?" Lucy asked.

"Because this means something to me." Natsu said.

...

Zach

Zach ported his code back home and hurried over to Pam. Zach looked around for her and found his brunette friend with another one of her friends at the mall.

"Pam! Over here!" Zach called out as he went to her.

"Hey, Zach." Pam said.

"Listen, I'm ready to make a trade." Zach said. "You still want my Kolmo, right? Let's trade online for that Grammar scan of yours."

"Sorry, Zach. I can't right now. My laptop and scanner were confiscated by a teacher and is in the teacher's lounge." Pam said. "I should get them back tomorrow."

"No! I can't explain, but a friend of mine needs me to make this trade today." Zach said. "Come on!" He grabbed her by the arm and dragged her with him.

...

Erza

Erza ported herself to the Riverlands and was trying to find the Riverland Moon. Of course, it was just like she said. Finding one was a little difficult.

"Come on." Erza said as she hopped across some rocks to try and find one. "I knew this would be difficult." Erza was about to jump again, but she slipped and fell in the river. She was able to flow with the current and get back to shore, but was irritated with how this was going.

...

Chaotic

Natsu and Lucy were just waiting for Zach and Erza to get back. As they were waiting, Lucy saw Bruno come in and he still looked pretty mad about his loss.

"Poor Bruno still looks up set about his loss." Lucy said. "I'm going to try and cheer him up." Lucy walked over to him, but he didn't look happy. "Hi, Bruno. I saw your battle."

"So what? You're going to make fun of me for losing?" Bruno said.

"No." Lucy said.

"You think you're better than me? You want to rub it in?" Bruno said as he stood up and towered over her. "You better think again. So back off."

"Backing." Lucy said as she backed up and went back to her table. "What the heck is with him? Clearly he doesn't take losing very well." As they tried moving past it, Natsu heard his scanner and saw it was Erza.

"Hey, Erza. How's it going?" Natsu asked.

"Badly. I'm having trouble finding that moon." Erza said. "So I called Alice and told her what what was going on. She said that if I can't find that moon, she's willing to trade her Kolmo scan for a scan of a creature named Ilx."

"I've heard of him. He's a phantom-like underworlder." Lucy said. "Do you have a scan of that creature?"

"No." Natsu said. They tried to figure out what they can do, but they heard someone clear their throat and saw it was Bruno.

"I have a scan of Ilx." Bruno said and showed it.

"Great. What will you trade for it?" Natsu said.

"I was thinking more of making a deal." Bruno said.

"I don't think that's a..." Lucy didn't finish that as Natsu covered her mouth.

"What do you want?" Natsu said.

"It involves your girlfriend here." Bruno said with Lucy trying to say she wasn't his girlfriend. "She has to battle Mister Cool and win."

"Mister Cool?" Natsu said.

"The dude I just battled: Ethan. That's his actual screen name." Bruno said.

"Natsu, I don't know. That Ethan is pretty good." Lucy said.

"Deal." Natsu said. Lucy just knew she wasn't going to like this. She reached for her scanner and gave Ethan a call.

"Yeah, I could have won without losing a single creature, but I was just being generous." Ethan said as he was trying to impress a couple girls. That was when his scanner went off and saw it was Lucy. "Lucy Heartfilia! Nice to here form you, gorgeous."

"I'm challenging you to a match. Meet me in the Hotekk Drome." Lucy said.

"No can do. I need a break. How about in a few days?" Ethan asked.

"No! It's got to be now!" Lucy said. Ethan thought about this and saw an opportunity.

"I'll do it on one condition." Ethan said. "Win or lose, you've got to go on a date with me."

"What?!" Lucy said as she couldn't believe he had the nerve. Lucy didn't want to, but she wanted to help Natsu. "Fine."

"Lucy, you don't have to..." "You so owe me." Lucy said. Natsu was starting to think it might not be worth it.

...

Zach

Zach and Pam made it to their school to get Pam's stuff back and to make the trade. The only way they could get in was through the boy's locker room.

"Good thing the lock on that door is busted and I knew about it." Zach said with Pam looking like she was sick.

"What do you boys do in there?" Pam said.

"Come on." Zach said as the two of them hurried through the school and found the teacher's lounge. When they got there, they saw there was a teacher still in there. "Great."

"Zach, let's just wait for tomorrow." Pam said.

"No. My friend needs me to make that trade and we can only do it online. We need your scanner for that." Zach said. "Natsu so owes me."

...

Lucy

Lucy had to agree to go on a date, but at least she was able to get the match. Now all she has to do is win.

"Since I have to win, I better go with all healing mugic." Lucy said as they set their teams.

"Players, lock your decks." Both of them locked in and it was game on. "Mister Cool, you may have the first attack." He gave it a spin and the first location was set.

"Glacier Plains! Cool, like me." Ethan said. "Bladez attacks Gimwei!" Both of them became their creatures and the battle was on. The area changed to the ice land. Gimwei sore across the air and landed down.

"The sooner I get rid of Bladez, the sooner I can get this over with." Gimwei said.

"Shadow Strike!" Gimwei was surprised to see Bladez appear and attacked by his shadow. Bladez came charging at Gimwei, but Gimwei fought back.

"Toxic Gust!" Gimwei unleashed a toxic blast of wind, but Bladez pushed through and glowed white with him smashing against Gimwei.

"Sorry, but I'll be more of a gentleman on our date." Bladez said. Lucy hated the thought, but she needed to win this.

"Ember Flourish!" Gimwei used mugic and used it to heal himself. Lucy just can't afford to lose this battle.

...

Zach

Zach saw the target, but he still needs to get pass the guard. Good thing the teacher's lounge was unlocked.

"Miss Sueanne!" Zach said as he opened the door.

"Zach? What are you doing here?" Miss Sueanne said.

"There's graffiti on the school just outside!" Zach said. "There's no time to explain! Go! Go! Go!" Zach urged the teacher to go and she left. That allowed Zach and Pam to get inside. "Now let's find your stuff and fast." Both of them looked through the lounge and was trying to find Pam's stuff.

"Got it!" Pam said as she was able to find them.

"Hurry." Zach said as he got his scanner ready. Pam worked on her computer and they were able to trade cards online. "Got it! I hope Natsu appreciates this."

...

Erza

Erza was still looking around. She turned over all the rocks that she could and still didn't find the piece of battlegear.

"Still nothing. I hope the others have better luck." Erza said as she sat down, but she felt something strange. She looked down and saw she was sitting on it. "Bingo! Always in the last place you look!"

...

Lucy

Lucy was still in her battle, but it was almost over. She was now Intress and it was a battle in Pouril Forrest.

'I'm five battles to four. He only has one creature left.' Lucy thought. 'I've got to finish this while I still can.' She crawled around on the branches and was trying to find Ethan before he finds her. Too late as she was blasted out of the tree and was faced with Dyrtax on a Skeletal Steed.

"Don't worry. Our date will go a lot nicer." Dyrtax said. Intress was in no mood for this as she jumped in the air.

"Ash Torrent!" Intress unleashed a blast of ash. Dyrtax got hit, but started moving. Intress used Vine Snare and chased after him. "You're not going anywhere! Rustoxic!" She unleashed another attack and it hit his steed and it caused Dyrtax to fly right out of his steed and crashed into the ground. Dyrtax got up and fired beams from his eyes, but Intress jumped right over the attack. Intress launched a water attack and blasted Dyrtax.

"Power Pulse!" Dyrtax launched the attack and it hit Intress with her getting knocked down. Dyrtax went at her to attack again, but Intress used Vine Snare again and tied it around his ankle. She pulled and caused him to fall back.

"Rip Tide!" Intress used her attack and blasted Dyrtax and he ended up getting coded.

"Yes!" Lucy cheered. Bruno wasn't too happy, but he kept his word and gave her his Ilx code.

"No biggie. I still got a date." Ethan said. Lucy didn't like it, but at least she can help Natsu.

...

The Portcourt

Zach ported back to chaotic after making the trade. Once he got there, he met up with the girls.

"I did it! I got the second scan of the Riverland Moon!" Erza said.

"I got the scan of Ilx. We can ask Alice which one she would rather have." Lucy said. "Zach, did you get that scan of Grammar."

"Yeah. Let's find Natsu." Zach said.

"There he is." Erza said as Natsu came over. "Natsu, we did it. We each got the scans we needed to make those trades."

"Huh? Oh... Sorry, guys." Natsu said. "While I was waiting, I ported to Perim for a few other scans and managed to get that Consuming Cacophony scan on my own. So I don't need you guys to do that anymore. Thanks anyway. Anyway, I've got a match. Later." Natsu just kept going and left the others dumbstruck.

"So this whole thing was nothing, but a waste of time?!" Zach said.

"Not a complete waste. We each got some new scans." Erza said.

"I have to go on a date with that obnoxious jerk for nothing!" Lucy said.

"We're so going to pay him back for this. Right?" Zach said.

"Right." Both of the girls said.
