Someone started clapping, Hayley saw Nico clapping and the rest of them hesitantly cheered and clapped. Hayley shot a look to Dumbledore and gracefully walked to the Slytherin table and sat next to Nico, everyone was watching her every move.
McGonagall cleared her throat and called Will who was sorted into Ravenclaw. Hayley noticed that Draco was sitting across from her and looked like he was studying her. 'Hello Dragon' She winked at him 'Nice to see you again' 'Hello, I'm Theodore Nott, you can call me Theo' a boy with dark hair introduced himself offering his hand, Hayley shook his hand 'I'm Hayley, this is my friend Nico' she nodded to Nico.
'Do you have a boyfriend?' a boy asked Hayley who laughed 'yes, he's in Gryffindor'. Draco noticed that when she said that she had a boyfriend his heart sunk a little, he also noticed her laugh was like wind chimes. Not like he cared. 'Is it Weasley, one of his brothers?' a girl asked, she had dark brown hair in a bob 'no, it's Percy' Hayley smiled gesturing to the raven-haired boy who was now staring at her.
'Where were you all these years?' Draco asked, surprised his voice was gentle. Hayley groaned 'why does everyone ask me that question?' but then she answered 'Ilvermorny'. Dumbledore gave a speech but was interrupted by someone clearing their throat, it was a lady covered in pink. Hayley disliked her already she looked like a toad.
She started to give a speech, but neither Draco nor Hayley listened. Draco was staring at Hayley while Hayley was zoning out thinking of what her mother wanted to say to Dumbledore. Finally, she finished and the food appeared, and all of them ate.
After dinner when the desserts appeared Hayley received a note from Dumbledore stating all of them to come to his office after dinner, and that he liked Cockroach Clusters. During dinner, Draco immersed in conversing with Hayley listening to her voice, her laugh.
Hayley asked if Draco could show them the headmaster's office, so he escorted her and her friends to the headmaster's office. Hayley stood in front of the Gargoyle and said 'Cockroach Clusters' the gargoyle sprang to life and moved, the group walked in and knocked on the door they heard a faint 'come in'. The group walked in and saw Dumbledore sitting at his desk smiling at them.
'Ah…welcome to Hogwarts' he greeted them 'Miss Potter, anything you would like to tell me?' Hayley then remembered her mother's letter and book; she produced it from her bag and gave it to Dumbledore. He opened the letter and read it, first shock but then he covered it with a knowing look.
'I assume you had a bad dream last night?' he asked Hayley who nodded 'could you explain?' and Hayley nodded, Dumbledore made a bench appear and all of them sat in it and Hayley began explaining.
'I believe there was fire surrounding you, black?' Dumbledore asked and Hayley nodded 'yes, it gave a warm feeling; I knew I was bleeding but it seems that the fire healed my bruises' 'Will you please curl one of your hand into a fist and then uncurl it please?' Dumbledore requested and Hayley did as she was told.
Black flames danced on her palm, everyone looked shocked. 'Cool' Hayley muttered 'But, I must warn you, only Miss. Potter is fireproof, if the others come too close, you'll burn, Mrs. Potter had blue flames which is the second purest fire, Miss. Potter has black which is the most powerful and dangerous' Dumbledore explained 'More powerful than Greek fire?' Percy asked 'More powerful than Greek fire' Dumbledore confirmed.
'Miss. Potter you will have to learn to control this power' Dumbledore continued and Hayley nodded. 'Now you will not reveal your identities to anyone' Dumbledore said and all of them nodded 'If you have any reports of anything unusual or any weird dreams, immediately come to me' Dumbledore continued and everyone nodded 'Only the professors' know about your real identities'.
'Professor' Will started 'Is there a house called Grytherin?' and Hayley instantly turned pink. 'No, it's the first time the hat has set anyone in a house called Grytherin' Dumbledore answered smiling at Hayley, who was staring at her shoes as if it was the most fascinating thing in the world. Her hair was like a curtain hiding her flushed cheeks.
'So which house is Hayley in?' Reyna asked puzzled 'well, the house declared Grytherin so she will be in both Slytherin and Gryffindor' Hayley quirked an eyebrow at Dumbledore, who continued 'She will have to alternate classes' 'you mean I will have to be Gryffindor one day and Slytherin the next?' Hayley asked shocked. Dumbledore nodded 'isn't that trouble?' Jason asked and the others nodded in agreement.
'Yes, if you want Hayley can try again' and Hayley nodded instantly. Dumbledore walked to the hat and placed it Hayley's head and it immediately shouted 'Grytherin'. Hayley sighed 'guess I'm the first Grytherin, whatever double the fun' she then grinned. 'Wait. Where will I be staying, Slytherin or Gryffindor because I can't walk day to day from Slytherin common room to Gryffindor common room' Dumbledore smiled at her 'You are definitely like your father, every time he and his friends came the first thing they said was whatever it was, it wasn't us'
'So I guess her father was famous at Hogwarts' Nico said and Dumbledore nodded 'tales for another time, now you won't be staying your respectable houses, you will be staying together if you will follow me' he motioned them to follow him.
They followed him for what felt like hours. Finally, they reached the portrait of a woman in a Greek dress, 'password' she inquired 'ημίθεος' the portrait swung open and Dumbledore climbed in the others following looking around in awe.
The room was filled with black, gold, and white. It was beautiful, black couches, white pillows. Tables with gold ornaments. At the side was a spiral staircase, the group climbed the stairs, and saw three floors 'I call dibs on the second floor' Hayley said, she was the first one to open the door, but then she vanished Percy who was walking behind her panicked 'Hayley, Hayley' he then turned to Dumbledore who smiled 'she'll come back'
Hayley opened the first-floor door, was thinking of Grimmaud place, when she opened the door she saw the grimmaud place kitchen. Her parents and Sirius were sitting there talking, Sirius was the first one to notice her 'What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in Scotland?' 'I was' Hayley started but then stopped not knowing what to say 'You opened a door and landed here?' Chloe asked and Hayley nodded 'Which house are you in?' James asked eagerly 'Well, you see at first the hat sorted me into Slytherin but then it changed its mind and sorted me into Gryffindor, then back to Slytherin, then it asked me which I wanted and I said that I didn't care, in which house I was, then it started chanting loudly, Gryffindor or Slytherin over and over again and then it sorted me into Grytherin'
'Grytherin?' Sirius snorted 'what kind of house is that?' 'I don't know' Hayley answered 'I went under sorting twice, it said Grytherin twice, Dumbledore said that I have to alternate my schedule' James started laughing and Chloe furrowed her eyebrows. 'So where are you staying?' Sirius asked 'Dumbledore took us this portrait with this Greek lady, inside everything was in black, gold and white, and three floors, I opened the first-floor door then here I am' Hayley answered looking really confused.
'You better go, I bet Percy will have a heart attack right now' James said sniggering 'You have to open the door and imagine the room you were in now' Chloe explained and Hayley nodded 'I don't know how you'll survive these two, well I better go goodbye' and with that, she opened the kitchen door, and landed in the room.
The room had two beds, and everyone was there, technically she landed in one of the beds from above. Dumbledore was gone. And everyone attacked her with questions. 'Wait, wait' Hayley shouted then she explained calmly 'I went back to Grimmaud place, had a nice talk with my parents and Sirius and came back' Percy stared at her as if checking for bruises. Hayley rolled her eyes.
So who all are staying where?' Reyna asked 'I called dibs on the second floor' Hayley said calmly 'Will and I call dibs on the first floor' Nico answered 'Well then, Reyna and I will be on the third floor' Jason grinned and everyone stared at him, including Reyna, though Hayley swore she saw Reyna's cheeks redden.
'Okay, well it looks like you and me, roomie' Percy grinned wrapping an arm around Hayley's shoulders. Hayley smirked at him 'Well, roomie I have a few rules but it seems only Reyna can live up to my rules' 'what is it?' Percy asked 'Firstly, I want the room to be tidy it means no clothes or other stuff lying around and second of all no snoring' Hayley grinned 'I don't snore' Percy retorted 'As if' Hayley mock scoffed 'I woke up three times last night startled by a sound which I thought someone was attacking us, but it turned out to be you snoring' and everyone except Percy started laughing who at first scowled but then joined in.
The group slowly departed to their respective rooms, and slowly fell asleep.
Hayley woke up the next day to someone pouring cold water on her face; she shrieked and jumped out of bed to see a smirking Percy. She snatched her wand from under her pillow and cast hexes at Percy who dodged.
Percy somehow ran out their dormitory door, with Hayley following behind throwing hexes at him, he tried to shield them but wasn't fast enough so he decided to just avoid them. The others woke up to their racket, Nico was watching them, grinning Will was watching them shocked at the hexes Hayley was throwing at Percy, while Jason and Reyna were watching them with amusement.
Finally, Hayley cast a stupefy and it hit Percy; grinning to herself she approached a frozen Percy who was glaring at her. She walked closer to him and conjured some snow up which dumped on Percy's head, she muttered the counter curse and ran upstairs ignoring a yelling Percy.
Hayley chose Slytherin today, she grinned at Percy who kissed her temple and walked with Nico to the Slytherin table. She sat next Draco who was staring at her amusedly, her hair was in a half ponytail, she had drawn wings on her eyes and a touch of mascara which made her eyes pop out. Draco noticed that she wasn't wearing makeup yesterday and he also noticed that she looked prettier than usual. Again not like he cared.
To start a conversation he asked 'where were you last night fellow Slytherins?' Nico and Hayley shared a look and Hayley explained 'We were staying in a separate dormitory' and Draco nodded. Snape came and handed them their time tables, Draco and Hayley noted that they had all of their classes' together.
Nico however had most classes with them except Divination, so had Theo with him. The quartet walked out of the hall to Potions, when Hayley halted and ran to the Gryffindor table said something to them, kissed Percy's head, ruffled Harry's hair, and strode to them.
They were the first there, so they took their seats. Students began filing in. Percy took the seat next to Hayley who only grinned at him, Snape emerged from his office his robes fluttering behind him 'Good morning class' He greeted them tightly, and then he began to set their seating.
Hayley was with Draco, it wasn't a problem, Nico with Percy, Jason with Hermione, Harry, and Ron. Snape started class; it wasn't boring quite interesting actually. However, Draco wasn't listening his mind wandered to the noirette sitting beside him.
How hard he tried to concentrate what Snape was saying, but his stupid mind didn't listen it kept wandering to Hayley. He kept cursing his conscience. Something fell with a thud beside him; it snapped him out of his daydreaming. He noticed his Potions textbook fell down; he reached down to take it and accidentally brushed fingers with Hayley.
Her fingers were warm, she pulled her fingers away instantly. Draco took is textbook and tried really hard to concentrate but his mind drifted away to Hayley's wind chime-like laugh, her infectious, he was falling for her, no he couldn't he was Draco Malfoy and she was Hayley Potter. He was the Slytherin Prince and she was the girl who lived. She had a boyfriend who was also her soul mate; her love for Percy was dangerous and passionate yet sweet and gentle.
Draco was so wrapped up in his thought he didn't even notice that Snape had dismissed the class. He didn't even notice that Hayley was calling his name; he just kept staring at the front of the class thinking of Hayley. Hayley then shouted his name near his ear and he jumped. 'Finally' Hayley sighed 'class ended 5 minutes ago and you were staring at the blackboard'. The duo left the dungeons to their next class Transfiguration.
On their way Hayley was talking to Nico about something, Draco couldn't help but stare at her occasionally, finally, he snapped 'Damn it Draco' and then quickly walked away. Leaving Hayley and Nico confused.
Finally, they reached the Transfiguration classroom, where Draco was scowling at the blackboard. Hayley approached him 'you okay?' she asked concerned 'fine' he snapped. 'No need to be snappy dragon' she frowned and took a seat next to Nico. Draco instantly regretted snapping at Hayley, she was just concerned, what's wrong with you, Draco? He thought.
Transfiguration ended quickly and all of them headed to lunch, Draco was in a foul mood snapping at anyone who asked if he was okay. As a result, Hayley sat at the Gryffindor table for lunch and Draco was watching her like a hawk.
After lunch Hayley and Nico parted, Nico went to Divination with the Gryffindors and Hayley had ancient runes with Hermione. Draco had ancient runes too. He didn't want to be on Hayley's bad list, she looked she could kill when angry.
The day ended quickly and Draco had not apologized to Hayley, Malfoy's never apologize he thought. Hayley ignored him all day, Draco felt guilty somehow. Harry had gotten detention with the toad, just because he spoke the truth.
Hayley and the others had shown Ron, Ginny, and Hermione their common room. The trio had looked around in awe. Hayley went inside her dorm to put her bag, Percy climbed up behind her and had surprised her but dodged the hex she sent him. 'You scared me, you imbecile' she exclaimed, he walked towards grinning, he pinned her against a wall and kissed her hungrily. She kissed him back, tangling her fingers in his hair. They broke apart for air, faces flushed and hair tousled but with huge grins on their faces.
Bonjour! I think this is a short chapter, I'll try to update as soon as possible but I'm out of ideas. So I'll need to brainstorm a few.
