I know this has been delayed for a fucking eternity, but here it is. As I said, as long as the story is not deleted, that means I haven't given up on it.

On that note, thank you so much for your support of me after the announcement last week. You guys are so amazingly positive despite the time it took for this chapter to come, and I really appreciate you all.

Here is the chapter that you have all been waiting for, and that you all deserve.

I DO NOT OWN MY HERO ACADEMIA OR ANYTHING RELATED TO IT.

"I..I'm sorry...but how do you smile again?"

As soon as they heard those words, any doubts they had about their decision vanished.

She was such a pure, innocent child. She seemed like a kid who would be adored, and showered with attention. She was adorable.

"So how...?"

Midoriya Izuku, Nejire Hado, Mirio Togata and Tamaki Amajiki were sitting down on a couch within the Togata household, staring at the white-haired child that sat across from them on the chair opposite to them.

When Nejire had brought Eri to the house, needless to say her friends were very confused. Questions such as "Who is she?" and "Why did you bring her here?" were asked immediately, but Nejire shushed them, and told them to not ask questions for the time being. She then went to Aina Togata, Mirio's mother, and they had a private talk for a bit on the balcony of the house for a few minutes before Aina and Nejire returned, with the former looking grim. She then announced that they would be taking in the child, and that they were to watch over her for the time being while she left to speak with her husband, leaving the four friends to talk to Eri.

At one point, Mirio had cracked a joke in an attempt to get Eri to laugh. However, when he did so, she made an odd face-one that looked like she was trying to laugh, but couldn't. Then they heard the heartbreaking words.

It was then that they all internally and unanimously agreed to take care of this girl.

However, something didn't add up to one person.

As Izuku left the Togata household and started walking home, he thought about the girl. At one point, Izuku asked his girlfriend as to why she brought the child there, and about her actual family. However, Nejire had shushed him and gave him a look that said, plain as day, not now. So...

"What happened to that girl?..." He wondered aloud.

When they came in, Izuku saw that Nejire had wrapped her sweater around the girl, and it remained like that for the night. However, he nor Mirio or Tamaki questioned it. But he had seen something.

There was a scar on her hand that he had seen when they came in. Eri had kept her hands inside the sweater pockets for the rest of the night, and he guessed that Mirio and Tamaki assumed it was because she was outside during the cold night. However, he had still seen it. And it was no ordinary scar, not some random cut she might've gotten from scraping her hand. It was in a direct and straight line, and carved right along her arm symmetrically, with precise width and length. It looked like it had been cut by a tool.

Izuku narrowed his eyes at the stars as he walked home. What was it that Nejire wasn't telling them?

Months Later...

After a while, Izuku stopped worrying. It had been many months since Nejire had brought Eri home, and the group of friends had all grown affectionate of Eri. They saw her as the adorable little sister of the group, and oftentimes when they trained they would take turns spending time with Eri between shifts.

However, time to do that was growing shorter and shorter, and with good reason.

U.A's entrance exams were in a week.

None of them had any idea what the exam would be like. They always trained confidently over the years, but none of them had actually thought about what the practical for the exam would be like. For all they knew, it could be rescuing donkeys from a runaway train.

As the exams drew near, they began to get more nervous, though none of them showed their anxiety. They all wanted to remain strong for each other, and reassure each other, but in reality none of them were very sure of themselves.

Izuku was the only one that realized this. He could see the occasional uncertainty in their eyes.

Who would get in, and who wouldn't?

3 days.

The date was looming ever closer, and the group of friends were all growing more nervous.

Izuku gazed up at the ceiling of his room, the honey yellow glow of the sun bouncing off the end of the room as morning arrived. He wasn't so sure of himself either. Despite vigorously training One For All frequently, he knew that he still had a ways to go. As of right now, going into the exam he had access to 8% of the quirk's full power. It was strong enough to hold him in a fight, but it would be nothing very noteworthy. Maybe the strength of a wrestler combined with his base strength. However, he had faith that his grasp of the power would improve greatly through training at the academy.

"AHH! What am I saying? I don't even know if I'll get in or not. I'm positive that there are hundreds of applicants, who most likely have mastered their quirks far better than I have! What assurance do I have that I'll make it?"

Izuku slammed his face into his pillow, internally debating within himself about his chance of success.

"Izuku? Breakfast is ready!"

The green-haired teen then stopped his tirade, and took a deep breath. "Coming!" he yelled.

As he stood at his door, he grasped his fist. "I'm too anxious to even think. Maybe we should all do something today...that would maybe soothe our heads a little." he chuckled. He then walked into the kitchen, where a fretting mother was waiting for him with a plate of toast and eggs.

"No."

"No."

"No."

"Buuuttt why not?"

Izuku, Mirio, Tamaki all wore deadpan expressions as they gazed at a specific blue-haired ball of energy.

The group of friends had all decided to go to a carnival that had just arrived in the Musutafu, and Nejire had suggested that they bring Eri along. Seeing no reason to disagree, they brought her along, but it was now clear that she had brought her along to spoil her rotten. Already, they had given her 3 candy apples, a sweater, a plushie, a purse and a water gun that Nejire had encouraged her to use on the boys, resulting in them all being drenched in water halfway through the day.

They currently stood beside a dart-throwing stall that offered packs of water balloons for prizes, since the water park for the carnival lay just a few meters away. Although, they had no faith that the balloons would be used where they were intended...

"God only knows what you're gonna make her do next..."

"Disagreed, Mirio. Not even God knows."

"Neji...just relax for a bit."

The energy empress pouted at her friends and boyfriend before crossing her arms. "Hmph. Fine. But we're going to the bumper cars next then!"

"Oh no..." Tamaki shrank so far into his seat he had essentially melted.

Mirio's eyes held what could be described as nothing other than terror.

"What have we done to deserve this?..." They groaned.

One traumatizing bumper car ride later...

"WE NEVER. DO BUMPER CARS AGAIN."

"Agreed."

"Yep."

The three boys looked pale as ghosts as the group left the carnival. Nejire and Eri bounded along the sidewalk with smiles as they recounted the prizes they had won throughout the day. Although she didn't look like it, Nejire was incredibly competitive, and since they were taking care of Eri, she did her utmost to make Eri win too.

None are to speak of the horrors experienced at the bumper cars that day.

It was today.

After they all ate a diligent and quick breakfast, the four friends all arrived at the bus stop, and took the vehicle to U.A High. No words were spoken; they each understood that the others wanted time to think and relax.

As they arrived at the academy and set off towards the examination halls for the theoretical, they all smiled at each other and uttered two words.

"Good luck!"

Izuku breathed heavily as he stepped into the lecture hall to listen to the briefing on the practical exam. The theoretical wasn't tremendously difficult, as he had studied immensely alongside the others, but the practical was what he was worried about. If anyone was going to outshine the other applicants through their quirks, then this would be the time.

Here, he would discover what sort of gap lay between him and those who might become his peers.

Looking around, he saw a variety of different people. Some looked relatively normal, some with quirk mutations, some just had odd appearances. Different colors, facial features, animal features, and many other things could be seen among the crowd of people that surrounded Izuku. How would all these people hold up against each other?

As he took his seat, he looked around. The atmosphere was tense, yet professional. If one were to scrutinize, they could see small drops of sweat, fidgeting fingers, restless shuffling, and other things that showed that the people in here were not as calm as they may initially seem. This made Izuku feel a little better. Anxiousness had wracked him all day, so to know that other people didn't have very much confidence was sort of sickeningly comforting.

CREAK!

All heads in the lecture hall turned upon hearing the door open. All the seats in the hall were taken, which meant that the only person coming in now must be whichever U.A employee was assigned to give them the briefing. The person in question was a gruff man with black hair, a pale complexion, a grey scarf and eyes that seemed to be slightly closed-as if he would collapse on the spot and start snoring in a peaceful slumber at any moment. Many seemed to sweat drop a little upon seeing the man as he walked up to the front. Was this person really affiliated with U.A?

"Ughhh...why did Mic have to call in late today of all times..."

"Their voice is even more deadened than the appearance!" Was the thought that passed through the minds of all the examinees.

"Welcome to the U.A entrance exam..." the man addressed them all with his dead eyes. "Or the practical of it, anyway. I'm only going to give you a short description. In this practical, you'll be tasked with saving hostages from a disaster site. The type of disaster it is will vary depending on the testing ground. Robots, acting as villains, are all over the area and will attack you on sight. There are dummies scattered throughout the site with phones attached to them, which will act as hostages, and the phones will send out alarm sounds, so as to imitate a hostage in distress. Turning off the alarm on the phone will count as you "saving" the hostage. Destroying a robot will earn you 4 points, and saving a hostage will earn 8. Earn as many points as possible. Any questions?"

The lecture hall was seemingly silent as the man looked around at everyone with a slight glare. After a few moments of silence with no hands raised or words spoken, the man seemed to nod slightly and he began to walk away from the front towards the door. "Good. Everyone, head to the gyms and get your uniform for the exam. Then make your way to whichever testing ground is listed at your seat. Exams begin in 15 minutes." The man then swept through the door, and the other examinees began to get up and start making their way to the doors as well.

Anxiety was all that coursed through the greenette's head as he went through the exam procedure, changing into gym clothes and walking towards Testing Ground C, which was the one he saw on the desk where he was sitting. As he approached the area, he could see around a dozen other people either there or walking towards it, each with looks of intense concentration, and he subconsciously began to file them in his brain. A boy with blue hair, a girl with eagle wings, and...

"Oh hey, Tamaki!"

And a boy with navy-blue hair, who seemed to be trying to shrink into the ground.

At the call of his name, the anxious and anti-social boy stopped in his tracks and turned, seeing the broccoli-haired boy running towards him calling his name. "Oh...hey, Izuku. You assigned Ground C too?"

The quirk enthusiast gave his friend a grin as he nodded. "Yeah. You think you're ready? What did you eat beforehand?"

"The usual...some squid, beef, and some duck..."

"Duck? That's not what you usually eat..."

"I probably won't use it. I just wanted duck."

"Ohhh..."

Buzz!...

"Examinees, please report to the front entrance of the Testing Ground. The exam will begin momentarily."

Stopping their brief conversation, the two friends made their way to the front door, where the other students were assembled in a line. Falling into place with the rest of them, they all waited with bated breath. After about a minute of standing there, the voice came over the intercom yet again.

"Welcome to Testing Ground C. You have been assigned the collapsed supermarket. You may use your quirks in whichever way you want, with the exception of breaking rules or harming a fellow examinee. You will have one hour. The doors will open in momentarily."

Not a word was uttered as all the examinees faced the doors in anticipation. As the timer next to the door counted down, the tension in the air was palpable. An unprepared soul venturing here might've collapsed from the pure pressure and intensity in the air as they all stared down the metal entrance.

"10..."

A cough.

"9..."

A gulp.

"8..."

A short breath.

"7..."

A slight shuffle of feet.

"6..."

A momentary arm stretch.

"5..."

A slight lean forward.

"4..."

A small pinch on the cheek.

"3..."

The clenching of a fist.

"2...1..."

And finally, two boys who gave each other a momentary nod.

"GO!"

Each examinee bolted off of their starting point towards the doors, which were now creaking open as they approached. Feet beat the ground like a thunderous army as each person ran into the collapsed supermarket.

They had all split up as they entered the market. It was definitely big enough to serve as the testing ground for all of them-the place was massive, easily the same size if not larger than the typical supermarkets you would see in the city. It had everything-benches, plants, decorations and fountains, escalators, stairs, and of course the huge array of stores on the sides, which were unnamed due to it not being an actual market.

Oh, and there were tons of combat robots too.

Izuku, however, didn't really mind that they had all split up. Him and Tamaki knew each other well enough to know that the other wouldn't really consider working together to pass the entrance exam a legitimate way of making it in. Each of them passing individually without help from the others was a sort of assurance to their friends-assurance that they were all strong enough to stand with each other, and not be left behind.

"This isn't just to make it into U.A...it's to prove that we are all strong individually, too!"

Izuku sprinted down one of the hallways of the supermarket as fast as his legs could carry him. Time was of the essence. There would surely be a limited amount of "villains" to defeat and "hostages" to save, as it would be unrealistic if they kept refreshing the supply of both. That meant that he had to secure as many points as possible, as fast as possible. If one was to become a hero, exceptional speed was also key to pulling off the job.

So Izuku knew that was the speed he needed to be working at.

Passing by a group of robots near a bench, which all seemed to alert themselves simultaneously as he neared them, he swung his leg in a high kick, taking down 3 robots of the 7 that were there. Seeing one swing a robotic arm at him, he ducked and swung his other leg into the rest of the robots with 4% of One For All, which was enough to knock them down. He punched them each with the same percentage afterwards, and a little beep that the robots gave off afterwards was enough to tell him that he had "defeated" them. Each robot was worth 4 points and he had defeated 7, meaning he was at 28 points right now. Shaking himself a little to take his head out of his thoughts, he stood up and raced through the hallway again, taking down other groups of robots that he saw along the way. After taking down yet another group, he heard a faint blaring-of what sounded like an alarm. Not sounding at all like the beeps of the robots, Izuku concluded that must have been one of the dummy hostages. Turning immediately and racing into the stores, he saw two groups of the robots standing there, in front of a door that led to a back room. Hearing the alarm slightly muffled through the door, he concluded that the "hostage" had to be behind it, with these robots standing guard. Readying a 7% smash this time, he crashed his fist into the first group, sending a few down and a few stumbling back. Then, putting 2% into his legs, he sprung off the ground and put his feet on the wall. Increasing the power of One For All to 5%, he jumped off the wall and swung his leg in a powerful kick at the second group, which was approaching, and sent them flying into each other against the wall opposite to him. After punching the last few into dysfunction, he made his way to the back room, within which he could still hear the alarm going off. As he opened the door and made his way in, he looked at the wall, upon which a dummy wearing what looked like a young boy's clothing was situated, with a phone going off right next to it, the alarm app ringing on it's screen. Walking over to it, he turned off the alarm and began to turn back towards the door.

But he stopped for a moment.

Although this was an entrance exam meant to simulate a real-life situation, did that really mean he should leave that dummy just lying against the wall? Weren't they supposed to be hostages in this scenario?

Izuku pondered for a moment, mentally cursing himself in some part of his mind for wasting time that he could be spending looking for another group of robots to take down, or another dummy hostage to rescue.

But he turned back and made his way to the dummy once again.

Looking it over a little more closely this time, he could see red stains on the dummy, likely meant to imitate blood. Looking around the room, he spotted a first aid kit near the back, peeking out amongst a clutter of books, papers, and stationery. Grabbing it, he opened it to find some bandages and rubbing alcohol-standard medicinal items, as well as cotton puffs. For the next minute, he applied the alcohol to the dummy's "wounds," and placed bandages over it afterwards.

Then, standing up, he made his way out of the room.

It had been 54 minutes. Timers were displayed throughout the site, so the examinees could keep track of the time they had left. Izuku was sweating-he had been keeping track of his points throughout the duration of the exam. Currently, he had 324 points, having taken down a good amount of villains and rescuing hostages, although in his head he was still scolding himself for treating the dummy's "wounds." He had done that for each one of them. Although it was a waste, it bugged him to leave them in their "bloodied" states.

However, time was running out. He was running around taking down as many robots as he could find, but they had thinned out considerably since the beginning, given the other people in the building taking them out as well. Time was starting to run out. He didn't know how many points everyone else had, but he prayed that he had enough.

CRASH!

Izuku looked up in shock as a robot went flying through the air, crashing into one of the stores on the next floor, causing a crash. He could hear several things breaking upon the landing. Looking up, he saw one of the other examinees-a girl with long black hair that reached down her back with dark blue highlights. She had black eyes, and seemed to be relatively the same height as him. She seemed to not notice his presence after a few moments, as she looked down and saw Izuku standing there. She raised her eyebrow a little, but didn't say anything as she turned away and walked back down the hallway she came from.

Izuku watched her leave with curious eyes. "That power that threw the robot...was incredible. With One For All, he could strike back enemies somewhat, but nowhere near the force that she threw that robot away. What kind of quirk was that?"

Seeing strength on that level within one of the other examinees made him feel slightly uneasy. Granted, he didn't have access to anywhere near the full power of One For All, but for now 8% was his limit, and that strength seemed easily outclassed by what he had just witnessed.

Could he really stand up to power like that? '

Out of the corner of Izuku's eye, he could see a timer on a nearby wall which displayed the time: 03:48. He still had time to amass more points. Casting the black-haired girl to the back of his mind, he turned and ran into one of the other nearby hallways.

"Time is up. All robots and dummy phones have been disabled. Please make your way to the front entrance. You will be given further instructions from there."

Panting, Izuku stepped back from the robot he was about to punch, which had now dropped to the ground unresponsive. He had gotten 352 points, which he could only pray would be enough to land him a spot in the prestigious school. As he walked back through the hallways, following the map to reach the entrance, he repeatedly debated within himself as to the realism of making it in. As he reached the huge metal doors and walked through them, he saw the other examinees standing there, none of them talking to each other still. Evidently, they were wondering the same thing he was. He walked over to Tamaki, who was standing off to the side as he typically did.

"How many points did you get?" Izuku asked his friend in a slight whisper.

"I lost track near the end, but I stopped counting at around 600," Tamaki replied.

Izuku momentarily froze.

"600?"

The number that he had ended with echoed in his head.

"352."

Hope seemed to fade from his mind as he remembered that number.

"If there's such a huge difference in our numbers...and if the other examinees came even close to that..."

"This isn't just to make it into U.A...it's to prove that we are all strong individually, too!"

Had he failed?

"Izuku...what happened during the exam?..."

Nejire gazed at her boyfriend with blue eyes full of concern. Since they had returned from the U.A entrance exam and exchanged their total points, which had been 564 and 622 for Nejire, it was obvious that something had went wrong for Izuku, who was the only one who didn't talk about his amount, and would dodge the question whenever it was brought up. He still smiled, laughed, played with Eri, and generally acted normal. However, the difference in his enthusiasm and actual happiness, while not obvious to anyone else, to her it was plain as day.

As she sat on her boyfriend's bed, she waited for an answer as she watched the greenette who was sitting on the chair opposite to her, looking to the ground somewhat. Sensing his reluctance, she stood up from the bed and walked over to Izuku, and she wrapped her arms around him in a comforting embrace, as her periwinkle hair draped around him in the process. Humming slightly, she whispered to him.

"If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine. But I don't want to see you sad, Izuku, and it's obvious that something happened. Whether it's a small tremble in your hands, a slight break in your smile, or something like that, I can see that you're hurting. So please, Izuku...let me help you. Tell me what happened, so I can understand."

Izuku was silent for a while. He merely stayed there in his girlfriend's embrace for a while, and he put his arms around her. As he did, Nejire's heart ached a little as she felt the trembling in them, so very unlike how Izuku usually was. However, she remained patient, and waited for him to speak.

After about a minute of silence, he did.

"It's just...I tried."

Nejire remained silent, but held onto him a little tighter, so as to tell him she was listening.

"I tried so hard. We all trained for so long, and so hard...endless spars...I've lost track of how many...testing each other on the theory...I've lost track of how many snacks we went through as we did that...and laughing and smiling, as we all knew of the unspoken faith each of us had in each other to make it through."

As Nejire held onto him, she began to feel a slight wetness on her shoulder. A tear.

"We all told each other we would make it through. Each of us trusted each other to make it. But, I made it through...with only 352. 352! What the hell have I been doing all this time, if that's the result?...I tried so hard. SO HARD! So why...why was my result so insignificant?!"

By this point, Izuku was full-on crying as he vented his troubles.

"I did nothing compared to you guys. You all did so well...and I'm the one who inherited the power of the number one hero, for god's sake!. What am I missing? What did I do wrong?...Actually, no. I know full well what I did wrong. I gave those dummies medical treatment-MEDICAL TREATMENT! BUT THEY'RE DUMMIES! They weren't real...but I just got a bad feeling from just leaving them as is. They had those stains clearly meant to imitate blood-it just bothered me so much! But because I wasted so much time treating each one, I got such a pathetic result! They were just dummies...so why did I throw away my chance because of dummies!?"

Nejire was silent for a moment after Izuku finished his ramble, shaking and crying as he held onto her. As his tears continued to stream down from his eyes, he then heard Nejire speak softly, in great contrast to the usual boundless energy her voice contained.

"Izuku, listen to me. Very closely, and understand what I'm telling you."

Izuku slowed down his crying as he listened in.

"You aren't missing anything. Not a single thing. In fact, you giving those supposed hostages medical treatment was admirable, and showed that you actually have something more. That only shows your resolve, Izuku. You don't want to leave anyone in pain. Yeah, they were dummies. But in the context of that scenario, they were hostages, who were in danger because of the nearby villains, right? You did something amazing, something I don't think anyone else would have the insight to do. Not any of those other examinees. Not Tamaki. Not Mirio. Not me."

A faint light seemed to shine in Izuku's eyes as he set apart from his girlfriend, who was now gazing at him with a completely serious gaze.

"The fact that you felt pain at seeing those dummies wounds...who were people in that scenario, and the fact that you even gave them medical treatment like any hero would do if that scenario was real, shows just how much of a hero you are."

Nejire gave her boyfriend a small peck on the cheek, and then smiled the purest, brightest smile she could muster.

"You aren't missing anything, Izuku. If anything, you showed that you had something that the rest of us didn't have."

Izuku shed a few more tears as he tightly embraced his girlfriend, who melted into it and closed her eyes as they held each other for a few silent minutes.

"Thank you, Neji...really. You are truly amazing..." He sighed as he held her.

Nejire giggled. "Naturally, I am," she joked as she smiled.

"I-Izuku?"

The couple's moment was interrupted as Inko Midoriya called to her son from outside the room..

The two teenagers broke apart as Izuku wiped his eyes a little, and then responded. "What is it, Mom?"

"Your U.A results...they're here."

Inko carefully opened the door. She had also noticed Izuku's signs of sadness since the exam, and she was slightly hesitant to give her son the envelope she was currently holding. However, as she looked at her son, who walked to the door to pick up the envelope, she noticed that there was a tint of their usual light returned to them. Nejire stood at the back of the room, smiling slightly at her.

Inko couldn't help but smile slightly back at her. Really, that girl was such a positive influence to her previously more negatively influenced son. Inko decided to give the two some privacy as she shut the door.

Izuku looked apprehensively at the letter, one which would surely spell his doom upon reading the contents. But as he looked at Nejire give him an encouraging smile, he steeled his courage and opened the letter, only to reveal...some odd device.

"Hm? What is that?" His girlfriend inquired as she skipped over to him.

"No idea..." Stumped for ideas, he set it down on his desk, then looked back into the envelope to see if he missed something.

"GREETINGS, YOUNG MIDORIYA!"

"ALL MIGHT!?" The two teens yelped as they snapped their heads back towards the desk, where a projection of the number one hero had appeared, being sent from the device.

"I KNOW THIS MAY BE A SLIGHTLY UNEXPECTED WAY OF DELIVERING THIS MESSAGE, BUT IT WAS CONVENIENT! SO HERE I AM!"

The two began to sweat-drop a little at his bluntness. "I'D LIKE TO LET YOU KNOW, FIRST, THAT I WILL BE TEACHING AT U.A ACADEMY ONCE THE NEXT YEAR COMMENCES!"

"WHAT?!" Izuku and Nejire could only stare at the screen with dropped jaws. However, after a moment, Izuku deflated a little as he remembered the low chance he had of making it in.

"THAT'LL BE FUN! I CAN'T WAIT TO-oh wait, I'm on a time limit? Oh well. AS YOU HAVE PROBABLY GUESSED, I AM HERE TO DELIVER YOUR RESULTS FROM THE U.A ENTRANCE EXAM! COMBINING YOUR VILLAIN AND RESCUE SCORES, YOU ACHIEVED 352! WHICH IS ON THE LOWER END..."

Izuku looked down and clenched his fist in frustration as Nejire held his other hand with a comforting hold.

"HOWEVER!..."

The two looked back up.

"THAT IS ONLY THE ACCUMULATION OF VILLAIN AND RESCUE POINTS! THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE...THE TREATMENT POINTS!"

"What?" They both said simultaneously.

"GIVEN THE NATURE AND PRESSURE OF AN EXAM LIKE THIS, MANY WOULD ONLY FOCUS ON DOING THE THINGS THEY WERE TOLD TO DO! RESCUE THE HOSTAGES, DEFEAT THE VILLAINS, YOU GET THE GIST! HOWEVER...IT IS ALSO THE JOB OF A HERO TO ENSURE THAT THOSE THEY RESCUE ACTUALLY SURVIVE! RESCUING THEM WON'T DO MUCH IF THEY DIE SHORTLY AFTER YOU DO SO! AND TREATING THEM IS SOMETHING YOU DID EXCEPTIONALLY WELL!" A clip then showed of him treating the dummies wounds.

Tears began to stream down Izuku's face as he began to understand what All Might was telling him, and Nejire could only smile as she wrapped her arms around him.

"YOU SAVED 12 HOSTAGES, AND DEFEATED 64 VILLAINS, WHICH EQUALS TO 352 POINTS! HOWEVER, EACH HOSTAGE WHO WAS TREATED APPROPIATELY COUNTED FOR 20 POINTS EACH! AS SUCH, YOU HAD 96 HOSTAGE POINTS, 256 VILLAIN POINTS, AND 240 TREATMENT POINTS! WHICH PUTS YOU AT A TOTAL OF 592 POINTS, WELL WITHIN THE HIGH END OF SCORES!"

Izuku dropped to the floor, crying...but not out of sadness. This time, joy was all he felt as Nejire hugged him with the same tears as they laughed together.

"YOUNG MIDORIYA...WELCOME TO YOUR HERO ACADEMIA!"
