A/N I'm combing my head for people to send off to the Potterverse but Savitar needs to stay there and I'm not really fancying Kirian Hunter going (apologies if the name is spelled wrong.) I was thinking maybe Valerious or Samia but I need your input. Should it be someone like Amanda and Tabitha, a werehunter or dark hunter? Please let me know in a review. For now, have a completely Simi chapter with a bit of side dialogue with Ash and Remus

Chapter 5:

The Hunt

Simi came home smelling like deliciousness. That's how she thought of it, all sweetness and goodness. She was very hungry though, the void of her belly aching furiously like gnawing badgers. Chronte demons were always very hungry though. It was their nature to taste warm blood and tender flesh.

"Hi Akri," Simi said, giving her master a giant hug as she shed her disguise. "Simi needs to tell you something and then hunt. Why is Akri so sad?"

"I saw the cupboard today Simi," said Ash sadly. "I didn't get a good look, but from where I was stationed, I could see a padlock on the door."

"They locks the tiny magic sweetie in a cupboard?" Simi raged, claws extending as though to pull away the offending door. "Simi will hurts them badly for this. Simi already wants to throw their bodies in the river to drown."

"We can't do that, Simiki," said Ash, scratching Simi's horns to try and calm her. "First we must free Sirius Black. After that, we can take the poor boy away. What have you learned from Remus today?"

"He keeps a short magic stick in his pocket," said Simi. "He likes books and… Marshal arts."

"Why did you hesitate there?" Ash asked curiously.

"I'm just saying it how he said it," Simi said, affronted. "I'm going hunting now."

"Be careful," Ash yelled after her. "We don't need any incidents or accidents right now."

"Simi understands," said Simi, changing into a human woman. "Bye bye."

As Simi left the house, she saw Akri pick up the phone. "Good," she thought. She had neglected to tell Akri that Remus was also a wolf, because she could smell it on him very heavily today. She thought it was amazing. She looked up at the darkening sky and saw the gibbus moon rising. "Well," she thought, "He won't be a wolf right now and that's what counts."

Simi began to run. She didn't stop running until there was no one in sight. Then she began to fly. She soared over the treetops, ignoring the odd owl she passed now and then. She was so hungry she didn't even noticed the packages and letters the owls were carrying. Once she was far away, so far all she could see was fields and forests, Simi alighted and began to scan for pray.

"Hello Remus?" Ash asked after punching in the numbers Remus had given him a few days ago. "This is Ash."

"Hello Ash," said the voice on the other end of the line. "What can I do for you?"

"I need to talk to you about a few things," Ash replied. Can you come over to my place?"

Ash gave Remus the address and then waited. He set out a tea tray with a few cookies and then sat back down on the couch. A few minutes later, Remus arrived and Ash took his coat. He lead Remus to the living room and cut straight to the chase.

"Zia said she spotted a short stick in your pocket this morning," Ash said calmly.

Remus went very pale and made to leave the room. Ash held up his hand to stop the man, blue sparks dancing on his fingertips. Remus watched as Ash snuffed out the sparks.

"What is it and where can I get one?" asked Ash.

"You're a wizard too?" Remus asked in shock, sitting down with a flop. "Why weren't you accepted into Hogwarts?"

"I'm assuming that's a magical school?"

"Only the best school for magic you can find in Europe," Remus said proudly. "Your accent sounds American though. You must not have received your letter to Ilvermorny."

"I'm not sure," lied Ash. "I've always had these talents."

"I must take you to diagon alley tomorrow," said Remus musingly. "We can go after work. Olivander will be very interested in you. What about Zia?"

"I don't think she's like me," Ash said evasively. "I will be taking her with me though."

Simi's belly was so round and full she could barely fly. She was so content and sleepy. She had eaten two turkeys, a few chickens and half a cow. She now flew back to Akri, hoping Remus would be gone by the time she got there.

Once she started seeing civilization, Simi landed and changed into a human woman. She began to run, legs eating up the ground in large strides. She reached the house quickly and hid as Remus left the house. The poor man looked very troubled.

"I'm home akri," Simi sung out as she banged the door shut. "Is the poor wolf man okay?"

"Wolf man?" asked Ash, staring at her.

"Don't tell me he's a werewolf too."

"Yep," said Simi. "If you will excuse the Simi, she needs a bath."

"You look very much in need of one," her Akri agreed. "Don't get blood and feathers all over the place. You'll be the one cleaning it up."

"The Simi understands," Simi called out as she ran to the bathroom.

She stripped off her clothes, left them to soak in a wash tub and turned on the taps of the bath tub She remembered just in time to put the plug in, then tipped in some bubble bath, maybe a bit too much. "Oh well," she thought. She'd clean it up later. Simi leaned back in her bath and relaxed. Today had been a great day..
