"Hurry, Erza. It's this way." Zach said as he and Erza traveled through some caverns. They were on another scan quest and was looking for something.

"Are you sure about this?" Erza asked.

"My sources say that the underworlders might have found something interesting." Zach said. "They've been studying it for weeks and they're about to uncover the secrets."

"And what might it be?" Erza questioned.

"We'll find out soon enough." Zach said. "It should be around here somewhere." The two of them kept moving, but when they rounded the corner, they retreated back and remained hidden as they saw something. It almost looked like some sort of ritual going on. "What are they doing?"

"Let's get a better look." Erza said as she held out her scanner and tried to get a closer look and they spotted two creatures there. "That's Kopond and Chargola."

"What's Kopond working on?" Zach said. They took a closer look and saw things were set around a statue. That statue resembled some sort of creature.

"Some worthwhile scan." Erza said.

"Let's just see what they're going to do." Zach said. The two of them remained hidden as they watched. Kopond looked like he was casting some sort of spell on it. Streams of magic flew around and encased around the statue.

"You sure this is going to work?" Chargola questioned.

"I am." Kopond said as he concentrated on the magic. The magic flowed through the statue and the stone surrounding it was breaking off and it became a creature that they've never seen before. This creature was green and scaly with claws and talons with a tail and had tipped blade on it. He had metal spikes coming out of his head. He also wore red top with a loin cloth and had purple markings around his eyes. This creature was free and loosening up his body.

"I'm free." The creature said. Erza and Zach couldn't believe what they saw. A stone statue was brought back to life. "Thank you."

"Who are you?" Kopond asked.

"My name is...Drevex."

"You okay?" Chargola questioned.

"Yes. Just a little stiff. I'm not exactly sure how long I've been trapped." Drevex said.

"How did you turn to stone? Why were you?" Kopon said.

"I was sealed away by enemy forces, but I thank you. Are you both underworlders like me?" Drevex questioned.

"We are. We'll take you to Chaor, our leader." Chargola said. Drevex agreed and followed the two of them out of the caverns. Zach and Erza took the opportunity and took a scan of Drevex. Drevex noticed what was happening.

"What is this?" Drevex questioned and alerted Kopond and Chargola.

"Chaotic players!" Chargola said as he launched an attack at the two of them. The both of them ported out of there and got a good scan in the end.

...

Chaotic

Natsu and Lucy stayed behind in Chaotic and were just kicking back and enjoying a few matches.

"Hey, guys!" Zach called as he and Erza hurried over to them.

"Hey, guys. How did your little scan quest go?" Lucy questioned. "Did you find anything good or was it just a wild goose chase?"

"I say it was good." Zach said. "Take a look at this." He showed the scan of Drevex he and Erza had and both Natsu and Lucy were impressed with what they saw. "His name is Drevex."

"We think we're the only ones that got scans of him." Erza said. "Apparently, he was a creature that was turned to stone some time ago. Kopond and Chargola just freed him."

"Weird. I wonder how he got like that." Lucy said.

"He looks like he can hold his own in battle. He's also a fellow underworlder." Natsu said. "His discipline stats seem pretty good and it looks like he's good at earth and air attacks. This is so cool. You sure no one else has a scan of this guy."

"Certain. I don't think anyone has ever seen a creature like him before." Zach said.

"Great! Take me to him!" Natsu said. "You know how I love the underworld tribe! I've got to get a scan of this guy while he's still all special! Where is he now?"

"Kopond and Chargola are taking him to see Chaor." Erza said.

"Sweet! I'm going!" Natsu said as he hurried over to the transport center.

"Natsu, hold on! You'll never make it through Chaor's castle to get a scan of Drevex." Lucy said, but Natsu was too excited to even listen to her.

"I better go with him. He'll never make it through there alone." Zach said as he followed Natsu.

"You just better grab a scan for me!" Lucy called out as the two of them headed out." Erza, while we're waiting for them to come back, how about you and I head to the Beta Drome and see what Drevex can do in a battle."

"Good idea." Erza said. "Natsu's got the right idea. Might as well use Drevex while he's special." They're excited about discovering a new creature and getting scans of him, but every creature has a story and it might not always be a good one.

...

Underworld City

Natsu and Zach ported straight to Underworld City. Once they got there, they headed over to Chaor's castle. They were able to get inside, but now they need to sneak around and find Drevex so they could get a scan. They also need to avoid the guards or else they'll be in real trouble.

"Down." Zach said as he pulled Natsu back and pressed against the wall and hid from a guard as he walked by. "If they spot us, we're dead."

"I'm not too worried about them." Natsu said. "So which way do we go to get to Chaor's throne room or wherever he might be?"

"You're asking me? I thought you were the expert on this thing." Zach said. "I know my way around Mount Pillar, not here."

"Now you tell me! I was following you!" Natsu said.

"You were the one that got so excited and leaped before looking." Zach said. They would have kept arguing until Zach spotted something down the hall. "Natsu, look." They both looked and spotted Drevex being guided through the castle. "That was him!"

"Sweet." Natsu said as they followed after them.

Chaotic

Lucy and Erza headed over to the Beta Drome and had a small battle set so they can see what Drevex is really like.

"You sure you want to use Wrenges?" Erza questioned.

"Wrenges special ability allows him to trade one of his mugicians to heal his energy." Lucy said. "Besides, the purpose of this is to see what Drevex can do. So it doesn't matter who really wins. Ready to go?"

"I am." Erza said.

"Wrenges attacks Drevex at Kiru City!" Lucy said. They both selected their creatures and became them. Erza tried getting a good feel of what Drevex is like.

"Not bad, but I feel like there's something different about him." Drevex said.

"No worries. I'm sure we'll get our answers soon enough." Wrenges said. Once the area changed to Kiru City, Wrenges ran through the place and was keeping his guard up for Drevex. "Drevex has got to be around here somewhere."

"Up here!" Wrenges looked up and spotted Drevex as he jumped down and landed behind Wrenges. "Freeze Flash!" Drevex unleashed the attack and blasted Wrenges. Wrenges was blown back and smashed into a building.

"So I take it you're not going easy?" Wrenges said.

"Sorry. I know this is just a test, but I couldn't really help it. I can't ignore the thrill of a battle." Drevex said.

"You mean like this?" Wrenges said. "Mind Strike!" Wrenges unleashed a beam from his head and blasted Drevex with it. Wrenges also pulled out a liquilizer and shot some water at him, but Drevex jumped out of the way.

"Thunder Shout!" Drevex unleashed the attack and blasted Wrenges with it as he blew through some buildings and took a lot of damage.

'Drevex really does have some power to him. I was hoping to see what more he could do, but I think this is the end.' Erza thought. Drevex walked over to Wrenges and this battle appears to be over.

Chaor's Castle

Drevex was brought to Chaor with his trusted allies Takinom and Agitos. Zach and Natsu were able to follow them and stayed hidden.

"Sweet. Here's my scan." Natsu said as he held up his scanner, but Zach pushed his scanner down.

"Not yet. If we scan him now, they'll know we're here and attack. Chaor's not someone you want to make mad. Let's wait it out until Drevex is alone." Zach said.

"It is an honor to meet you, Chaor." Drevex said as he bowed to him.

"How long have you been trapped in that cavern? Why were you stone?" Chaor questioned.

"It's difficult to say exactly." Drevex said. "Based on everything I've seen and heard, I believe it's been about half a solan."

"Huh?" Natsu questioned.

"Over two hundred years." Zach cleared.

"As for why I was turned to stone, it was the work of my enemies." Drevex said. "You see, I once served a mighty and powerful creature. He was incredibly powerful, almost no one could defeat him. However, our enemies still fought back. Eventually, they caught me and I was turned to stone by a powerful mugic. I would still be there if it weren't for your followers finding me."

"Chaor, keep in mind that this could be some sort of trick by your enemies. I don't see how anyone could have survived being stone for so long." Agitos said.

"Perhaps, but what could be gained from that." Takinom said. "What was the name of this powerful master of yours?"

"What does that really matter? For as long as I've been sealed away, he must be long gone." Drevex said.

"Indeed. What does that matter?" Agitos said. "At the same time, how can we really trust what you say? I'm only saying this because I don't know if you can really be trusted."

"I understand your skepticism. I didn't believe it myself with all that I've seen." Drevex said. He tried appealing to Chaor as he dropped down to one knee. "Chaor, I can tell just by looking at you that you are a fierce and mighty creature. I am a fellow underworlder who was loyal to his superiors. If you are truly the one that commands the tribe, I would be glad to serve you."

"You could be of some use. You might hold information from the past that could be helpful." Chaor said.

"Blah, blah, blah. How long are they going to keep talking?" Natsu questioned.

"Just be patient." Zach said, but Zach listened and thought something was off. 'He said his master was a fierce and might CREATURE. Doesn't he mean he was an underworlder?' Zach is a bit suspicious about Drevex's story, but he has nothing to go on.

...

Chaotic

Erza and Lucy continued their battle, but it looks like it was about to be over with Erza winning. Drevex stood right over Wrenges and Wrenges was still down.

"I guess this is already over." Drevex said, but Wrenges just faked him out.

"Rainspears!" Wrenges blasted Drevex with spears of water and was pushing him back. Wrenges got back up as he glowed and healed himself thanks to his ability. "Not as easy as you think. Now to regain some more energy. Song of Resurgence!" Wrenges cast mugic and he was back to full power.

"Not bad." Drevex said.

"I'm not done yet. Torrent of Water!" Wrenges blasted water from his battlegear and it created a wave that was pushing Drevex back further. Wrenges tried charging right at him as he launched more water, but Drevex jumped out of the way and avoided each attack as he clinged to the walls of the city.

"Rustoxic!" Drevex tried stopping Wrenges, but Wrenges jumped over his attack. Drevex tried again as he jumped right off the building. "Spirit Gust!" Drevex unleashed the other attack and it hit this time.

'Not bad. Drevex's attacks are pretty impressive.' Erza thought as she was getting a good feel of him. 'His attacks are tough and he seems to add a little more power to them.'

"Coil Crush!" Wrenges stretched out his arm and was able to grab Drevex. He pulled Drevex back and gave him a good toss as he smashed right into a building. "Frost Blight!" Wrenges launched another attack and blasted Drevex with it as he was partly frozen. Drevex was trying to get out, but he was in real trouble.

'I still have a chance to win. I just need to tap further into Drevex's head.' Erza thought as she tried to tap into it. When she did, she saw flash images of Drevex's memories and they were mostly of destruction and mayhem. Drevex took over as he unleashed some power. He broke free and Wrenges was surprised at what he did.

"Paral-Eyes!" Drevex launched the beam from his eyes and blasted Wrenges with it and now he's paralyzed. "Sunder Ground!" Drevex smashed his claw against the ground and it caused the ground to open up. Wrenges got caught in it as fell into the chasm and ended up getting coded. The test match was over and Erza won, but she didn't feel good about it.

"Wow. Drevex is a tough one, but how did you unleash that power near the end, Erza?" Lucy asked.

"It wasn't me. It was Drevex." Erza said as she felt uncomfortable about it. "I saw flash images of his memories and none of them were good. I still don't know who he is or where he came from, but I do know one thing. He's dangerous." What is the mystery behind Drevex? Who is he really? Answers are soon to come.
