A/N: DOUBLE UPDATE! WHOO!
Also! SECOND WARNING! SPICY BITS!
Lies Are Entertainment should be updated by Wednesday.
Sorry, this is far shorter than I'd like it to be...That's one surgery done and many more to go. Feels like I'm in and out of the hospital too much these days. I'm afraid to go back there at all given the state of the virus and the world at large lately, but I just can't seem to stay healthy these days. I'm already whip thin as is, and all these health issues are not, not, NOT helping!
Suffice to say my body...is not in the best of shape at the moment, but I'm still breathing, and still fighting. Team's helping me out with the latter.
As ever, Raikou is a joy to write.
This chapter has spicy bits, similar to the last one!
Well, this IS Minamoto no Raikou we're talking about here, and this is form her perspective after all...
"Love can be a terrifying thing. Terrifyingly good...or just plain terrifying."
~?
Sheets (Prelude)
Was this what love felt like?
Raikou considered the thought for a moment as she watched her Master sleep.
Perhaps that was rude of her, gazing at his slumbering face was her body twined with his post coitus. Perhaps not. Who could say? Regardless of whether she'd woken before him or not, she found she simply couldn't help herself. He was pleasant enough to look at when awake of course, but in sleep, Naruto seemed almost a completely different person. He seemed younger somehow. More relaxed. More at ease. His smile wasn't quite so forced and his arms were warm and secure around her...among other things.
Tangled in the sheets, she looped her legs with his and pulled him closer, breasts pushing against his chest.
His arms tightened in response, crushing her close to him, deepening their warm embrace. He muttered something in his sleep. Raikou wondered if it was her name. She imagined that it was. Just the thought made her head spin and her heart flutter. Well, that settled it, then. She was doomed. In her madness she'd latched onto him; she'd never be able to let him go now.
The swordsoman leaned against her lover with the smallest of smile, lips brushing the outer lobe of his ear.
"Master," she hummed the word, knowing he wouldn't respond. "My Master...never betray me."
But he did answer. Just one word, yet it threatened to shatter her worldview altogether.
"Never...
My, my, my!
Her heart leaped yet again.
For the first time in a terribly LONG time she found that felt...full. Sated. Content, even. The constant madness that assailed her thoughts had abated for the time being, leaving her at peace. Serene in her comfort, she idly traced a pale fingernail across his chest, following the scars there. So many scars. His body was proof of his deeds, truth spoken without words. He was a warrior, to be sure, but also a Hero. Someone bearing good morals and a firm guiding compass. Just the sort of tried and true Master she so desired. And oh, how she had desired him...
Their bodies joined, her head tilting back, spine arching as she cried his NAME...!
Berserker shivered pleasantly at the reminder and pushed her head into the gentle divot of his shoulder.
Raikou didn't consider herself a selfish woman; oh she knew she was a bit broken as a Berserker, but truly, that was to be expected given her class. It couldn't be helped. A little -a lot!- of madness was to be expected of one such as her. Madness was an escape from reality, after all, even if it was sometimes a pleasant one. And during such an escape, her addled mind inevitably began to wander.
What would their children look like, she wondered?
It was a silly little thought, yet something in her seized on it all the same.
Mother that she was, her fevered mind was quick to conjure up more than a few images. Children suckling at her breast as she hummed a nameless lullaby. Little girls with dark hair and bright blue eyes running around underfoot, impish grins all when she chastised them fro being naughty. Boys with whiskered cheeks learning the art of the sword and the bow and ax from her. It would be glorious. They'd have a nice little house with a white picket fence and such lovely neighbors, perhaps even a dog for the little ones to play with..
A warm heat suffused her cheeks at the thought and a dangerous giggle parted her lips.
She wanted at least six children. Three girls, and three boys, though she'd not complain overmuch of either. Children were good. Children were precious. Children were to be treasured. But they would need names! How very silly of her to forget such a thing. Yes, the oldest would need a grand name of course. Something unforgettable.
Hestia, perhaps? That sounded wonderful. Oh! But she would need a name for a boy as well. It had to be just as good as a girl's name, perhaps even moreso!
Marcus?
No, no, that wouldn't do, it hat be something better...Mercury! Yes, that sounded lovely!
Hestia for a girl, and Mercury for a boy. And the others, she simply must have names for the rest of her children...!
Without warning, reality broke through Berserker's madness, shattering it like so much brittle glass.
Raikou blinked once, remembered where she was, and blew out a sigh.
Her brow drew down. "What am I doing...?"
A sorrowful look stole over her face and she buried her head deeper into Naruto's chest. Such childish thoughts, these. Servants were Servants. Beings of mana. While she might be able to enjoy the pleasures of the flesh, and food, and even wine, such a dream would always be beyond her. How pitiful. How sad. As mother who longed only for love and children, her wish would only ever be partially granted.
And yet the seed of an idea refused to die in her heart. It burrowed deep, taking root.
Unless the Moon Cell could...or perhaps the Holy Grail...?
No, she decided with a shake of the head. Best not to dwell on fruitless wishes and dreams. She would savor moments like these while she could, until the time of their parting came once more. Her master. Her darling. her love. Her all. She was his first, all others, -assuming any other wench dared to try!- would forever be second to her. And if she could find a way to grant her wish...well! All the better.
She laid a kiss on Naruto's lips and spooned against him anew.
Sleep proved quick to reclaim her once more.
Because she was his blade, after all.
And he...well. He was hers.
It couldn't be helped.
A/N: Once again, sorry for the short updates, but my health is absolute craaaaap right now.
As ever, reviews are the fuel that keep us going in these crazy times.
So In the Immortal Words of Atlas...
...Review, Would You Kindly?
No previews this time; I've got something big planned.
...fine, just one.
(Preview)
"Mama!"
Raikou fainted dead away.
Gawain choked in surprise as the blade pierced his thigh. "How...?"
"Sorry, pal." Naruto beamed. "Ninja. Cheat."
R&R~! =D
