Third person POV
He woke up from the loud beeping of his alarm clock. The small LCD display showed that it was 7:00 in the morning. Alea wiped off some sweat that had built up on his forehead and jumped off the queen sized bed. Not bothering to put any clothes on he went straight to the bathroom to freshen himself up.
He turned the heat nob to the coolest setting available and waited for the water to turn to the desired heat. He looked in the mirror and saw what he always saw when he looked into it, it was his reflection after all. His waist-length white hair was tangled after the nights sleep but he could still see his arctic fox ears poking out of the top of his head. He looked closer on his face and started to trace a particular scar from end to end. It was a fairly broad and went over his nose, the man had gotten it many years ago when he still worked for the Atlas Intelligence Agency. He looked down further his eyes coming to land on his toned chest. It too was littered with the scars he had collected over his long life. Between his legs he could see his tail in the exact same shade of white as his hair and ears wagging lazily.
Alea's blue eyes looked over to the shower wondering if it was ready. He took a chance and stepped into the soothingly cool stream of water coming from the shower head. It was perfect. He used some shampoo and conditioner, 'even a man has to take care of their hair, especially if it's long' he thought. He quickly finished in the shower and put on a clean par of boxers.
The faunus moved into the kitchen with the grace of a trained assassin but not before putting on his usual combat outfit consisting of a black leather trench coat that seemed to suck in all the light around it, a pair of simple grey combat pants with padded knees and a pair of Atlesian m90 boots. The outfit screamed practical and nothing more, it was put together to get the job done.
His breakfast was like his outfit. It was simple but carefully picked to provide the nutrients he would need for the morning. Consisting of oat meal and two slices of bread covered with liver paste it was certainly not something most would consider the ideal breakfast but he did. It took no more than three minutes for the hungry man to devour his meal. He checked his wrist watch and saw that he only had about twenty minutes before he had to be at the cliffs overlooking the emerald forest. Alea sighed knowing that there was no point in staying any longer in his apartment and so he left for the starting point of the initiation. But that was not before he put on his 4a ballistic vest and strapped in a few magazines for both his rifle and handgun. He soon picked up his rifle, a desert tech HTI chambered in the powerful .408 CheyTac cartridge and singed it around his shoulder. His pistol came next, an old and worn Heckler mk23 chambered in the popular .45 acp cartridge and put it in his left handed leg holster. The last two things on his weapons list were a hatchet and knife that fit into their respective places on his chest and in his boot.
"He certainly was a well armed man" was a thing you could probably hear from a lot of the students as he moved through the hallways of beacon to get to his objective.

When he arrived at the cliffs overlooking the vast green canopy of the Emerald forest he noticed that all of the initiates had yet to arrive, but together right at the edge stood Goodwitch and Ozpin. The assassin walked over to them not even bothering to say hello. Sadly for him the headmaster was not as quiet.
Oh, Alea wonderful that you could make it today. As you might have already noticed the students haven't arrived yet, now why did I lie to you and tell you to go here half an hour before the initiation? Simple, there is something I wish to discuss with you.
The faunus man sighed, knowing that the conversation ahead would most likely test his restraint or exhaust him beyond belief, and so he spoke. "OK then Oz, what did you want to talk about?"
"Team placements, old friend. I know you have been reading up on all of our students and have watched them all fight so that's why I am going to give you the chance to chose your new apprentice's team."
Hm, not an easy task you gave me Oz. But I would choose Phyrrha Nikos for her close quarters combat prowess and gentle attitude, next up I would pick Weiss Schnee, she has one of the most diverse semblances on the face of remnant, excellent for support and lastly Nora Valkyrie for her destructive potential with her grenade launcher and hammer weapon." Alea said after a moments thought, it was definitely not a question he had expected to get.
"Interesting choice of team, but I do see your point. I will have it arranged so that they will end up together. Now, do you wish to stay for the initiation or shall I send you the recordings when we meet again at the team naming ceremony?" Ozpin told the faunus in a tone that did nothing to hide his satisfaction at Alea's choice in team.
"I assume you have a live recording set up for this small test of yours" The fox responded clearly irritated at the enigmatic man in front of him. "I will see you at the ceremony, don't want to miss my new apprentice's big day."
With those words he activated his semblance and disappeared from sight without even a sound being heard.
--Line break--
"Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Pyrrha Nikos and Nora Valkyrie, through a remarkable showing of heroism you were not only able to save the lives of your fellow students but also take down two elder grimm. From here on out you will be known as team RWVN (Raven) led by Ruby Rose." Ozpin stopped, letting the newly christened team get on the stage before he continued. "Once again I wish to compliment the actions of you and your team Miss Rose, and I will also wish you luck, may you and your team be the best they can be."
The team locked like a ragtag bunch. A heiress to the largest dust producer with hair as white as her name would suggest with a rapier attached to the belt around her dress. Next to her was a bubbly ginger girl carrying a comically large hammer that had about as much subtlety as a elephant on a bus. Pyrrha stood out among her team with her clearly visible bronze armor and circlet, even with her title as three time gladiator champion she was not the most interesting one on the team. That role went to the leader that she was giving a pat on the back. The leader herself was a very unique young girl, even at the age of fifteen she was the tallest of any of the new students easily being at least six foot four. Her build wasn't overly slim either, you could see large and clearly defined muscles under the slightly baggy blouse. Even her face looked a bit rugged, a scar adorned it, running from the teens lip and across her cheek. One thing that was surprising to the onlookers the Rose's personality, not many had thought the scarred girl would act like a exited puppy.
"Thank you so much for this Headmaster" she yelled as soon as the grey haired man had stopped talking. "We will be sure to meet your expectations, I promise you that."
The headmaster laughed and gestured for Alea to join them on the stage. "I certainly believe you miss Rose, from what you have shown today I have no doubts about your performance in future assignments. Oh, and one more thing miss Rose, would you follow me and Mr Schwarz to my office, there are things we need to discuss."
"Of course, headmaster Ozpin." The Reaper dressed in a red cloak responded in a worried tone. She wondered what the headmaster and Assasin had to say.
Ruby said her goodbyes to the team an followed after the two older men. It didn't take them long to reach the central elevator taking them up to beacon tower. The young rose gaped at the beautiful panoramic view from Ozpin's office. You could see the entirety of the emerald forest and even the begging of the city of Vale. The office in itself was not a pushover when it came to anesthetics, with the rotating gears below the glass floor constantly moving to make the Beacon clock go around.
"Miss Rose, I would recommend taking a seat as this conversation could take quite a while if you choose to stay." The old man said at the same time as he gestured to a chair on the opposite side of his desk. "Alea and I have a proposal for you but I think it would be better if he explained."
"I guess that's my cue then" The white haired faunus responded. "I'd you so wish you will be my apprentice and receive training from me. There will be extra combat missions and depending on your performance there is the possibility of skipping years, but that is only if me and Oz see fit got that?"
The red clad girl was shocked, this was not what she had expected. It was a interesting option. To study under the possibly most powerful man to have ever existed was intriguing but it made her wonder. Why her? Sure she was skilled but there had to be something more to it. "Let's say I'm interested, but why me? There are several really good third and forth years at Beacon."
"That kiddo has to do with your mother and my relationship to her." Ale responded with a oddly warm tone. "Have you ever noticed some seemingly out of place photos, maybe even one like this one?" he handed her a polaroid picture with torn edges. There were three people and a small bundle with a baby inside on the photo. Two of them were women, one who looked like a replica of Ruby with the same black har with red tips and silver eyes, the only noticeable differences was the darker skin tone and taller height of the young girl. The other woman looked similar to the first one exept for the blond hair in place of the red and black combo. Next to them stood a young man. His hair was white as snow and you could see two ears poking through the mane of hair. His face was marred with a scar going across his nose.
"I… I have this picture at home." Ruby was able to stammer out after staring at the picture for what would seem like an eternity. "It's you isn't it, the man in the picture? But who is the woman and how do you know my mom?" The girl asked her voice weak from shock.
"As for who the blond chick is, I think I will let her tell you that herself. No point in ruining a good surprise. But to answer your question about by presence in the photo, why wouldn't I spend time with the girl I raised as my own."
Woo, big reveal. And also late chapter, double woo. But seriously I need a co writer. I by no means have a ton of time so this thing just got done cause I forced it out.
