Chapter 3: The Ultimate Sin

(10:00 PM)

The boys were enjoying their gaming session and were planning on doing a sleepover, since Chris had 0 issue with it, and the Eds had already brought their sleeping bags once the four of them decided to do this sleepover. Either way, currently they were having a discussion about this.

"Where do you guys wanna sleep?" said Chris.

"The living room is cool with me. Lots of space here!" said Eddy. "It's perfect!"

"Roger that. You can sleep on either the floor or couch, depends on your personal preference my guy." responds Chris toward Eddy, before going to Ed, asking him, "You Ed?"

"Anywhere works for me!" yelled out Ed.

"Okay then, pick your spot and settle in then. Double D?" responded Chris.

"I would prefer somewhere that has comfortability with its surface, that's what I'd prefer." said Double D.

"Okay, well, you can use the other couch, but luckily, that one is just as comfortable as the other one in my opinion, so you'll be fine. Me personally, I'm gonna sleep in my own room, so make sure you're not causing major noise down here, alright guys?"

Chris would've continued what he was saying, but he got interrupted by someone smacking on the door very loudly, scaring all 4 of them, as none of them were expecting that, especially not at this hour.

"Come on out boys! We know you guys are in there!" said a voice that scared the Eds, which confuses Chris.

"What the hell? Who is that?" said Chris, quietly but rapidly. "Do you guys know that voice or something?"

The Eds were too scared to respond, as they all grouped together very closely. Chris, quickly, told them to go into an empty closet big enough for them, which was upstairs, while he figures what the deal is with these people at the door. The Eds run quickly upstairs, and run inside to hide from that voice that they all recognize.

"Keep quiet, I will handle this. I hope you three don't have a feud or something with the people over there, that would be the worst." Chris told the Eds, before he shut the closet, and leaving to investigate what the heck is going on.

"Oh no, he is a goner!" Eddy said very quietly, not exactly looking forward to what the outcome of this would or could be. Then again, Chris wasn't looking foward to seeing who it was at the door either, as he has no clue why they are even here. Luckily, the windows were shut, so there's no way they saw him and the Eds. Although, to appear more oblivious to the situation, he had an idea to fake being asleep, and just being woken up. He hoped that it would work, but he can only pray it does.

"Dude... what the heck?" said Chris, opening the door, and sounding exhausted.

The people he finds at the door are a blonde haired girl with two teeth sticking out from her upper lip, a blue-haired girl who had one of her eyes covered with part of her, and lastly a red haired girl whose hair covered BOTH of her eyes. What they could want with the Eds is a mystery to Chris, but he hopes to figure it out.

"A little bird told us you have something of ours." said one of the girls, more specifically the red-haired one.

"Who are you three even...?" Chris responded, yawning afterwards, trying to appear sleepy.

"My name is Lee, blue-haired is Marie, and blonde is May." said Lee. "We're the Kanker sisters!"

Chris still wasn't sure why they would be at his door, as he has literally never met them until this very moment, so nothing is making much sense to him yet. However, in his mind, he was hoping that this whole act was convincing. For the most part anyways.

"Okay... cool, I guess... but what is it you want? I haven't seen you three around at all, so I don't know what exactly you could want from me." Chris asked, hoping they wouldn't mention the Eds.

Marie got impatient and got closer to him, with an expression of annoyance. Chris was getting concerned, as when that expression is shown from someone, that is NEVER good news, ever.

"What are you doing?" said Chris, sounding serious.

"You know you have something that belongs to us!" Marie responded, annoyed.

Chris laughed at her, and said, "Are you serious? I legit moved here 2 days ago. Why would I have anything that is yours? And again, I have never seen or met you until right now! Do you realize how idiotic you sound man?!"

Marie shouted in his face and said, "Tell us where our 'something' is!"

Chris pushed her away, and said, "I suggest one thing. Don't provoke me, especially not at this hour, you idiot."

Marie tried to go for a punch, but Chris simply stops her fist by swiping it away, and kicks her away, knocking her onto the floor, which isn't exactly helping her mood, like, at all.

"I suggest you stay down." he stated, slightly cold in tone.

"YOU LITTLE-"

"Shut it Marie! You've done enough, I'll handle it." said Lee, as she got involved and said, "Listen tough guy, give us our thing, and I will forget it, Deal?"

Chris started thinking for a quick second about what to say, seeing as this isn't going well at all. He then came up with a simple answer to their "proposal".

"The thing is, I don't even know what it is. Even then, am I supposed to care?" Chris responds. "I mean, golly, I have no idea what this thing is that you're looking for, and to be honest with you three, I couldn't care less, especially with your attitudes that I am not exactly very impressed by. So yeah, as I see it, I don't have a single reason to help you three."

Lee laughed at him and said, "We're lookin for our ship-in-a-bottle. Here, I'll make this easy. You can either help us, regardless if you like it or not, or-"

Lee was interrupted by Chris slamming the door, surprising the girls. He had slammed the door, as he had enough of their cryptic answers and rather pathetic shows of intimidation that he flat-out didn't care for at all.

"I suggest you all get outta here, and find that thing yourselves, losers! DON'T GET OTHERS TO DO YOUR WORK IDIOTS!" Chris shouted from inside the house.

"Huh, so it's like that?" stated Lee, who was surprised he did that, but she already knows of what to do next.

"Now what Lee?" asked May, unsure of what to do next.

"Well, I would've told him, but I guess we gotta use force now girls! Get ready to break in!"

Meanwhile, with the Eds, who were still stuck in the closet, they were currently having a small conversation about what is happening outside, from what they could hear anyways.

"Eddy, we need to help him! I can't beliece we just left gim to their unrepenting ways!" said Double D, in a panicked state.

"Why are they even here guys? Ed not happy right now guys!" Ed said.

"I knew him well." Eddy said, scared.

"No you don't dude." said a voice.

Someone opens the door, and starts walking toward the cloest. The boys were panicking, and Double D passed out, as he couldn't handle the pressure. Eddy couldn't help but slap himself, because hasn't Double D been through worse than this? It didn't make much sense to him at all. However, the closet door was unlocking, which wasn't sitting well with either of them, until they saw who it is.

"I'm back, I hope they left." Chris said, as he opened the door. "You guys okay?"

"You're still alive? How!? I thought you were caught!" Eddy yelled out, surprised at what he is seeing right now.

"I'm fine, all they did was a redundant show of intimidation. I took care of that easily fo say the least, haha." responds Chris. "But we're not outta this yet, as we have to find a way to throw them off, because I doubt they will give up THAT easily honestly. That isn't a good thing at all dude, so we need a plan, FAST."

"That's easier said than done dude." responds Eddy, explaining, "Those three at the door were a trio of girls, right?"

"Yeah. Why? Do you-"

Chris paused what he was saying, as he noticed something very... odd.

"What the heck is with Double D and Ed?"

Chris and Eddy realized Ed was trying to give Double D CPR. They noticed Double D was out cold too, and woke up thanks to Ed blowing his rather smelly breath, and started freaking out and ran to the restroom to clean his mouth.

"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!!??" yelled Double D, very loudly.

"We're in a bit of situation here Einstein!" responds Eddy. "Help us out instead of freaking out like a lunatic!"

"Me? Forgive me, but I just woke up to Ed trying to give me air that smelled of onions!" said Double D, who then said, "What on earth's name is happening now?"

Ed felt a bit sad at Double D's comment, but there wasn't time for that stuff, as more noise happened at the door. The Kanker sisters were ramming the door until it broke open, which makes the boys run downstairs to escape through the backdoor. Chris got annoyed as he left his house to those girls, but he had no time to think about that as they ran away. However, Ed grabbed the anchor he left in Chris's living room, somehow still having the ship-in-a-bottle.

Having no choice, they escaped through Chris's backyard, as they jump into the construction yard, to try and find... somewhere to hide from the Kankers, at least for the time being until they get a plan going for them.

They managed to escape. Barely.
