It was quiet by all means in the forest. I liked it that way. The water from the morning's rain dripped in succession, following a pattern. As I stood so quietly, so silently, I felt like my body would numb into sleep while I was there. While I was standing, my clothes moving in the wind, my thoughts drifting into a dangerous state that many of my closest friends had warned me about.

Zekrom's concern for me, coming out audibly as a deep growl, made me smile. He cared so deeply for me, he had taught me so many things. About life, about Pokemon, about Humans, about myself. Even now, he was calling out to me to walk with him, and abandon my decision.

But it was my decision, even if it was a bad one. To live on a whim, as I never had before, and abandon my responsibilities for a little while before they all came crashing down. "Zekrom, you've been so good to me, but you have to understand that I'm making my choice." I smiled as I faced him. "You once said that those that live in the wild are trying to better themselves." I nodded slightly. Zekrom protested, finishing the statement. He had been silent the whole time, and my brow furrowed.

Then, I felt his claw on my shoulder, and bent, to embrace me. I hadn't noticed, as he had concealed his movements with the sound of his feelings. Now they sung of support, and acceptance. I smiled, and chuckled, of course he would accept this… As I hugged back, I could feel every scale on his body, and every tear that slid out from my eyes, which I tried to keep full of joy. I believe I was going back, for the first time in many years, to smiling to comfort others, rather than to be happy. I knew he would be disappointed, Zekrom would be, but he let go as quickly as he had embraced, and stepped back. My frail form was left in the mold of his arms, and watched him silently once again.

This time, the silence didn't last as long. I laughed, and waved as he roared back with enthusiasm. "We will meet again!" I agreed. With that, Zekrom took off back into the sky to wander on his own, the first time since we had met. With a breath in my chest, I took off my hat, held my necklace, and laid down in the grass.
