Chapter 5 - Rias Makes Her Move! - What Is She Planning?!

"Did you say Gremory?" Lucille inquired for she was quite surprised. "Wait. Is that Rias Gremory?!"

"Shh! Lucille please." Cassius quieted her down before she nodded and apologized. "Yes. Her name is Rias. Why?

"She's very known throughout the supernatural. She's the sister of the current Devil King."

"Now it makes sense she was spouting about peerage and territory. Damn." Cassius clenched his fist.

("Let's be careful, children. She is formidable. Not to mention she has comrades. It be best to not get in the way o it could be trouble.") the voice from his left hand said to the two. They both nodded as they continued to look onward.

Rias floated above the magic circle she came out of as she looked down upon the poor boy dying.

"So you're the one summoned me are you not?" she said gently A small smirk fell on her face. "Very well. Since you are about to die I will gladly take you in. From this moment forward you will live your life for my sake." she finishes as she holds out her hands. Most likely performing some sort of magic neither Cassius and Lucille knew about.

"What the hell is she doing?" Cassius wondered. A deep pit in his stomach as he felt a tremendous pressure in his body. It was nervewracking to see this transpire. He remembered back to when he first met her. He started breathing raggedly as he started thinking of possible outcomes and scenarios. He came across one that drove his nerves and anxiety into haywire.

'Was she going to do that to me?!' he thought to himself. He stared off into space his eyes down to the ground. 'Is she converting people to her peerage? Wait.'

Cassius kept climbing down the pits of his own thoughts. He was getting more nervous and more scared. He was still new to this but to think he potentially could've been almost part of her peerage against his wishes is making it worse.

"She was going to send me back to the cult." he said out loud without realizing. His eyes shaking his lips trembling and his hands shaking even with Lucille holding one of them. "Let them kill me and convert me into a devil just so she could get the sacred gear." His fear turned into anger as she gritted his teeth. Lucille heard all this and immediately thought of the idea of converting him into a devil. She felt intense fear as she looked at him in horror of hearing that.

Akeno, Koneko, and Kiba arrived finding Rias with the boy after the magic was completed.

"So this is where you ran off too, Rias. Oh my what happened to him?" Akeno looked in surprise seeing the boy still lying there prone and weak.

"I don't know. He was like this when I arrived. But I'll fix this no problem."

Cassius' heart was beating at a fast pace. He was horrified. He had the scenario he said earlier played out in his head. The cultists laughing at him, torturing him, beating him down. The Masters killing him getting what they want and then Rias swooping in to resurrect him as a devil. To live through one terrible group only to be thrust into another against his will it was scary.

He felt a burning energy reacting to his emotions as he tried his best to quell it. Lucille saw this as he grabbed his hands and pulled his face in. "Let's leave right now! We have to!" she said as he agrees as they leave the bush and run as fast as they can. The peerage sees this as they run out of view.

"Oops seem you've been a bit careless, Rias. Appears you've been seen," Akeno giggled.

"It doesn't matter I can erase their memories of this whole thing. While I tend to him can you fetch them for me Akeno? Kiba?" Rias asking two of her servants.

"Let's go." Akeno said to Kiba as she flew toward the duo. Kiba followed as well.

"Don't stop running, Lucille! Please don't stop!" Cassius panicking as he was in full sprint.

"It's going to be okay Cassius! Just stay with me!" Lucille responded confidently.

A bolt of lightning struck down in front of them. Cassius felt a sense of deja vu as he sees the two descending.

"I' m sorry but you're going to have to come with us." Kiba said in a calm manner.

"We won't harm you but you saw things you shouldn't see so please let's not make it hard." Akeno said in a tone driving Lucille and Cassius back a bit. Cassius was frozen in fear.

'No. Not again. I refuse. I'm not going back. They can't force me to live that again. But I can't fight them like this all I can do is dodge and run. I wish I wasn't weak right now.'

("What if you could be stronger?") a deep voice emerged in his head.

Cassius in real life looked around in shock. Everyone was confused thinking something could be wrong with him. As Akeno and Kiba stepped forward, Lucille stood in their way. Her fists clenched tightly as she stared them down with a fire in her eyes.

" I don't care who you people are or if you are part of the heiress to the Gremory's peerage. I swear on the Lord himself." she gritted her teeth as a light pink aura enveloped her something that Cassius never even noticed. It took him out of his shock for a moment as he looked upon Lucille full of wrath.

"I shall be his guardian angel!" she proclaimed proudly as she drew out a sword of light pointing it at them. "As long as I live and breathe the air on this Earth, I will not let you take Cassius to his death do you hear me?!" she shouted at the duo.

Kiba and Akeno looked at each other as they nodded at each other before readying themselves as well. All the while Cassius watched the scene unfold as he clenched his fists. He was still frozen in fear.

'I need to fight. I need to fight!' he thought as he tried breaking out as he stepped forward. He was struggling as Akeno and Kiba noticed him.

'I need to get stronger I have to get stronger!"

("Then let me in..") the voice in his head returned.

Upon that he froze in more as his whole body was shot through with pain. He grasped his head as Lucille turned to realize that something is wrong with Cassius. She withdrew her sword immediately running to his size as Cassius knelt over as the Sacred Gear appeared around his hand. It shortly started to shine brightly as the glowing slowly traveled up his arm. The colors morphed between pure white light and purple slowly turned with miniscule shimmers of gold which sent everyone their chills down their spine. They felt fear for a short moment wondering what the hell was going on?

"Lu...cille.. help..." Cassius struggled to say before he kneel over more. The glowing climbed up past his elbow up to his shoulder.

Lucille saw in fear his friend in pain. "Cassius, listen to me! Whatever this is you have to fight it! I know everything is hurting right now but please fight it!" she begs and pleads Cassius holding his hands tightly.

Cassius groaned and cried in pain as the deep voice, different from the one he usually talks to, still echoing in his head likes it's trying to worm it's way inside Cassius.

("My child.") the familiar voice jumped in sounding worried and all. ("I believe in you. You can fight this. Please dig deep inside yourself and purge this wicked aura in you.")

"P-Please. I don't know what this is, Cassius. This is scary. I lost you once. I don't want to lose you again! Please come out of this!" Lucille begged and pleaded as she knelt down beginning to sob.

Kiba and Akeno looked on frozen in their tracks.

"What was that aura? For a moment I felt a chill in the air."

"I did as well." Akeno said sharing Kiba's reaction. "For a moment it was stronger than it was right now. But these two obviously aren't normal humans. Also that sacred gear..."

"Was it the one you mentioned before. So that's the hooded man from last night?"

"Yes. There's no doubt. At least we don't have to be delivery people. Plus they must know of the supernatural so there's no need for Rias to wipe their memories." Akeno finished as they see the glow from Cassius disappearing. Cassius was having a successful battle before the glow disappeared, his body falling limp onto Lucille's lap to her surprise.

The eerie aura was gone and everything grew silent. Lucille looked down at her dear friend and began petting their head as he was out cold but still breathing.

"Cassius. That must've taken a lot out of you. I wish I could've done more to help.." she paused for a moment as she smiled gently as she continued petting him. "I'm proud that you fought through and won. Let's get you some rest, okay?"

Cassius while still weak, was still conscious heard the voice of Lucille. Warm and gentle. He nodded lightly. Lucille's smile grew knowing he still was able to respond. "You're getting stronger you know. You may not know it but you are. No matter what happens I'll watch over you. Like a guardian angel. Your guardian angel.

"Hey." Kiba stepped in. "Let's bring him to the ORC house. It's not far from here. This is probably not the best place to-" he stopped as Lucille's eyes went from gentle and warm to piercing and fierce. She stared down into Kiba's eyes as he grew nervous. She was giving off an intimidating vibe.

"I can carry him myself. I refuse to let you devils touch him. I will however follow you to your base. I need to have a word with Ms. Gremory. A stern word." she demanded as Kiba backed away.

"R-Right. Of course. T-This way." he stuttered as he began walking towards. Akeno giggled at the sight as she followed behind him with Lucille in tow carrying Cassius in a piggyback. Cassius was extremely tired as he nuzzled into the back of Lucille's neck. She smiled and blushed as she followed the two devils.

'I mean it though, Cassius.' she thought to herself looking up to the sky. 'I'll be your guardian angel. I promise.'

Hello! Tis I again! Hope you are enjoying it so far! I will say that this is the point if ya can't tell where the ocs starting mixing with the canon characters and the story at this point. Like I said before it's the story with some ocs with a few twists and turns.
