CHAPTER FIFTEEN: The Club's Secret

Jenna went to the garage the next morning with Opie and seen her mother wasn't there. The guys had a meeting early and Jenna knew it was about what Gemma had told her husband and son the night before. Jax was the first to exit the club and looked towards the garage where Jenna was standing in the doorway. He made his way over to her.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you, Jax." Jenna apologized.

"It's ok. You kept her secret." He said pulling his sister into his arms.

"Are you going to retaliate against Zobelle?" She asked.

He pulled away and looked at her.

"Don't lie to me, Jax."

"As much as I want to kill them, we would end up back in the pen." He told her. "We're going to find a weakness. Do it the smart way."

"The feds are in town."

"We're going to handle it." He said. "We're going to need everyone's personal stock of guns since our deal with the Chinese fell through. I'm going to need you to go to your house and get them."

"Ok."

Jenna grabbed her keys and headed over to her place where she rarely had been the last few weeks. She got her guns and put them all in a bag and headed to her mom's. She seen Tig was already there and noticed a broken picture in the hallway.

"What the hell happened?" She asked.

"Did you get your stock?" Tig asked.

"They're right here." She said holding up the bag and gave them a confused look.

Her mother went to picking up the broken glass.

"I'll get the vacuum." Jenna said.

"I'm heading back over to the club." Tig said taking the bag from Jenna and kissing her cheek.

"Ok." Jenna said watching him leave.

"What's up with him?" Jenna asked her mother. "He's been acting weird for weeks now."

"You know Tig." Gemma said.

"Are you alright?" Jenna asked concerned.

"Yeah, had to come up with a plan to get Clay and Jax back."

"Mom, you did it for you."

Jenna helped her mom clean up the glass. She was making herself and her mom a cup of coffee when her cell phone rang. She seen it was Jax.

"Have you talked to Opie?"

"No, why?"

"I've got to stop him."

"Jax, what the hell is going on?" Jenna asked in a panic. "Stop him from doing what?"

"He found out about Donna." Jax said. "Look, I've got to go."

He hung up before Jenna could say anything else. Jenna looked down at her phone and thought for a minute and finally it hit her. She knew Gemma would know.

"What am I missing here, Gemma?" Jenna asked turning to her mom. "What exactly was it that Opie found out about Donna?"

Gemma opened her mouth and her daughter cut her off.

"OMG, the club did this." Gemma said in shock.

Her legs felt like jelly and she grabbed the counter to keep her steady.

"It was the Federal Agent bitch." Gemma said. "She made it look like Opie was a rat. Donna was never supposed to be driving the truck."

"So, Clay was just going to kill Opie without hearing him out first?" Jenna asked shocked. "It's that easy to decide to fucking kill one of the members of the club? To kill family?"

"There was wire taps in his truck."

"I don't give a shit!" Jenna screamed. "Is this why you and Clay was so persistent of me getting with Opie. Was it guilt Clay felt for killing Opie's wife?! Did he think that me coming back to town and reconnecting with a fragile Opie that it would take away Opie's hurt over his dead wife? Clay was responsible for everything!"

Gemma got up and grabbed her daughter by the shoulders.

"Clay did what he thought was right!" Gemma whispered loudly. "He thought a member turned on the club and that's what you do when a member rats out the club."

"I fucking think its time for new rules." Jenna said pushing away from her mother. "Before another member or another member's wife is killed."

Jenna grabbed her cell phone and dialed Opie. It was turned off, she tried the house and nothing.

"He's going to kill her." Jenna said outloud. "He's going to prison for life for killing a federal agent."

She redialed his cell and left a message.

"Opie, I know what you're fixing to do and I'm begging you please don't do this. Please, call me back."

She hung up and looked at her mother.

"You, Clay, and Jax knew about this the whole time and didn't tell me." Jenna said hurt. "Jax lied to me."

"Jax kept a secret, just like you kept my secret."

"I'm sick and tired of all the fucking secrets around here." Jenna said. "Family's aren't supposed to have secrets. Families aren't supposed to lie to each other."

"We keep secrets to keep from hurting the ones we love."

"Bullshit." Jenna said grabbing her purse. "You keep secrets to protect yourselves."

She walked out of the house and slammed the door. She headed back to the club and seen Opie sitting on top of the club's roof. She went inside and went up to him. He was reading the manuscript.

"Hey."

"Hey." He said closing the binder.

"I see you're reading my dad's manuscript."

"Yeah, Jax gave it to me to read."

"Did you…."

"No." He said cutting her off. "I wanted to but the outlaw had mercy…for now."

"I'm really sorry." She told him. "I didn't know."

He pulled her into his lap and kissed her forehead.

"I don't know if I can look at the guys responsible for Donna's death." Ope said looking out into the parking lot. "This club fucking killed her because of some federal agent whore."

"She'll get hers." Jenna said icily. "And so will the club members responsible for her death."

Ope looked at her. Were they thinking the same thing?
