CHAPTER SIXTEEN: Lockdown and Planning For War
Since Opie finding out the truth behind Donna's death and Jax finally having the burden of knowing off him, they were back to being best friends. Jax shared the manuscript with Opie so Jenna felt like there were no more secrets…at least between the three of them. Opie and Jax were planning to take down Clay and get the club out of the illegal gun business. They just didn't know how…yet. The only ones outside of the members of the club that knew the truth were Jenna and Gemma. Opie had told Jenna about seeing Chibs talking to Agent Stahl and said he would tell the club, but wanted them to hear Chibs out first and to believe what he tells them.
"I'll do whatever I can to help take Clay down." Jenna told him. "He needs to be held accountable for all the things that he has done."
Opie kissed her temple and seen Jax down below nodding up to Opie. Jax headed inside the clubhouse.
"Chapel meeting." Opie told his girlfriend.
She knew it would be about Donna and probably about what Opie knew about Chibs. She went back to the office where he mom was. The meeting lasted until that night and Jenna said on the picnic table with Tara when the men finally came out of the clubhouse.
"Be good to them girls." Clay told them.
"She's in the office." Tara said referring to Gemma.
Clay made his way to the office and Opie wrapped his arms around Jenna. They headed back to his house and a few hours later had his kids in bed for the night.
Jenna had felt guilty ever since finding out what her stepfather had done to Opie, even though it wasn't her fault. Clay had to be taken down, taken down by Jax and by Opie.
"My old man tried to shoot Clay during the meeting."
The next morning, everyone was told to bring their families to the clubhouse for a few days. Lockdown. Jenna was already having a panic attack, knowing she would be locked down in the clubhouse with about 100 people. She hated small spaces; that's why she knew she was glad she never had to go to jail…yet.
Jenna and Opie grabbed a few bags and loaded them up into the backseat of her car. She made she the kids had their seatbelts on and kissed Opie. Piney was in his Caddy and followed them there. Girlfriends, Wives, children, family of the members were all crammed into the clubhouse. Whatever they planned to do to Zobelle and to Jimmy O of the IRA, they had to all be close and made sure we were all safe. No one could get in or out without an escort and we would be safe there.
Kozik from the Tacoma chapter was there and by the looks of it Tig had a problem with it. Opie and Jax left to go talk to Weston about Zobelle doing H business with the Mexicans while Clay, Bobby went to talk to Jimmy O and tell them that Cameron's son was the one to rat him out.
Jenna had kept her distance from Gemma since they all were in the clubhouse. She kept all the children at bay and seen her mom talking to Tara. She knew it wouldn't be long before she couldn't avoid Gemma any longer. She was so angry that her mom was still with Clay when Gemma knew what Clay had done. Did she know beforehand and not do anything? Did she tell Clay to go with the plan? Jenna didn't know for sure but she was hell-bent on finding out.
She made sure Kenny and Ellie had everything they wanted and needed before going up to Tara and Gemma.
"You finally decided to talk to me?"
"I couldn't avoid you any longer, especially being on lockdown and all." Jenna said sarcastically.
Tara was so uncomfortable being between the two Teller women. If there was a war brewing, it wasn't outside of the clubhouse…it was right inside of the clubhouse, between mother and daughter.
"I'm gonna go put Abel down for a nap." Tara said getting up and taking Abel and the car seat with her to the back where the rooms were. "Safest place for us right now, Abel."
"Jenna, sometimes I swear they gave me the wrong child at the hospital."
"Well wishful thinking, there's no mistaking I look almost just like you." Jenna said venomously. "But you know what…I'm gonna really start acting like a ruthless bitch too. Just like my mommie dearest. You said it was time for me to start acting like a Teller, well here I am."
Gemma looked at her daughter coldly for a minute until a small smile crept up on the older woman's face.
"Welcome back." Her mom said and slid a shot of Jack to her.
Jenna rolled her eyes and downed the shot. She looked around and seen a girl staring at her. It was the same girl who had stared at her since Jenna had first got there.
"Who is she?"
"Who?" Gemma asked looking around.
"The bitch who is staring…in the corner."
"Oh that's Laney." Gemma said staring at the girl. "Some crow-eater, she had her eyes set on Ope before you got back and seems like she's not too pleased that she no longer has a shot at him."
"If she doesn't stop staring, I'm gonna scratch her damn eyes out of her head."
The guys were having a meeting and Ope, Jax, Juice left together. Chibs left alone and Bobby, Clay and Tig left together. It was going to be a little bit at the clubhouse now that mother and daughter made up.
