Nighttime was soon over, and the sun was once again dominating the skies over the Amazon jungle. That day was a very important day for the Gunderson family, whatever happened that day will determine the future for the family.

Jewel might still be asleep, but all her senses were alive. She could hear birds chirping, the river flowing, and she could also feel the scorching heat from the sun burning her alive.

The heat was getting too unbearable and Jewel could no longer sleep. She opened her eyes slowly so she wouldn't get blinded by the sun.

Once Jewels' eyes were fully opened, she realized that she had fallen asleep on the branch. She turned her head around and looked into the hollow opening and saw that the rest were still fast asleep.

A faint smile appeared on her face as she flew back into the hollow to wake them up. If they were going to catch up with Blu, they would have to start the day very early.

Blu had only slept for a few hours throughout the night. Even when he was asleep he couldn't stop thinking about Jewel. He kept dreaming about her. Some dreams were pleasant but others were not so pleasant, most of these dreams were basically about Jewel and that… Roberto kissing each other right in front of him!

It was a real nightmare, and that nightmare will become real if Blu sticks around here in the Amazon. That is why he got to leave. Even his subconscious mind was showing him the consequences and the heartache he had to endure if he would stay here.

Blu planned to get back to Rio by nightfall and probably go to a pub or something to get a drink so he can relieve himself from all this heartache for a few hours.

If that was even going to happen, Blu had to get moving now. "Rio, I'm coming for you!" Blu shouted before taking flight off to the direction of Rio.

Not long after Blu took off, his stomach started growling at him. Maybe he got too excited about the idea of reaching Rio by nightfall that he forgot to eat his breakfast.

Blu touched my belly with my wing and it started growling again. He could even feel the vibrations. Blu looked around for a place that he would be able to find some food to eat.

The only thing that Blu spotted was a few trees in the distance that looked like Mangos trees. "That will do," He thought with his stomach still growling at him.

Most of the Blue Macaws were still asleep at the tribe, except for a few. Eduardo, Mimi and Roberto and a few other Blue Macaws were up earlier than the rest of the tribe because they had their respective things to do.

Roberto and the other Blue Macaws had to set out to find food to feed the tribe while Eduardo and MiMi had to scout the area around the tribe to make sure everything was safe.

Roberto and his team had left to do their job, however, Eduardo and MiMi were still in Eduardo's nest.

Eduardo stood in the hollow, with his back facing MiMi. In his wings, he held something, something that meant a lot to him.

"Eduardo, what is that in your wings?" MiMi asked with her head cocked.

Eduardo sighed and turned around, revealing that he was holding a necklace in his wing.

MiMi strained her eyes at her brother and asked, "Why do you have that?"

"This Necklace is the only thing that Alison left behind," Eduardo replied with his eyes closed as he clenched on to the necklace with both his wings.

"Alison? you mean your wife?" MiMi inquired.

Eduardo nodded his head and mumbled, "She's my one and only, it was my fault that she died."

"What are you talking about? she died in a fire, it was all an accident," Mimi said as she walked towards her brother to comfort him.

"I should have been there to save her!" Eduardo exclaimed with teary eyes.

MiMi placed a wing around her brother and said, "It has been so many years, it's time you move on and stop dwelling about it."

"Mimi, I'm just worried that something will happen to Jewel and I want to be there to save her. I do not want to feel the guilt of not being able to save someone I love again," Eduardo replied.

"Eduardo, Jewel is an adult, she can take care of herself and besides she has friends and her family by her side, I'm sure she will be fine," MiMi said with a reassuring smile.

"I know that, but Amazon is an unpredictable place. All sorts of things can happen here and some things they might not be able to handle," Eduardo replied.

"We just need to trust her. Now it's time for us to go scouting and make sure everyone here is safe," MiMi stated.

"Alright, let's go."MiMi flew out of the hollow first while Eduardo kept the necklace away in a safe place.

Things were moving a bit too slow for Jewels' liking. They were still in the hollow preparing to leave but it was still later than what she had scheduled.

But the wait was soon over, it was once again time for them to take flight. They flew out of the hollow and headed in the direction of Rio. Blu had a few hours head start, but she's hoping that his weak stamina would allow them to catch up with him.

That was not a single cloud in the sky and this should allow them to spot Blu easier.

After not eating for almost a whole Day, Blu may have eaten more mangos than what he could digest, he was so full that he could barely move. He rested against a tree under the shade of the leaves.

Blu might not be able to reach back to Rio by nightfall if he continued resting, but he couldn't do anything about it considering that he was too full to fly.

Everything was calm until Blu heard and saw movement in the bushes. He switched to his high alert mode and yelled, "Who's there!"

"Hissssssss," Blu froze up immediately after he heard the hissing. There was more than one hiss, which meant that more than one snake was surrounding him now.

"I think about to become lunch," Blu mumbled to himself.
