"If any person can show just cause or impediment why they may not be joined together, let them speak now or forever hold their peace."
As the registrar spoke, the noise of time engines grew louder and louder, almost drowning her voice.
A man burst through the doors, rushing toward Sarah, his feet not even touching the ground. He set his feet on the ground and slid to a stop. "Stop this wedding now!"
"Why has the Trickster trapped us here?" Rani asked.
The Doctor stood up and pulled his glasses off. "Oh, come on, Rani. You know the answer to that!"
"We're Sarah Jane's friends, all of us. Her best friends."
The Doctor threw his coat at Luke. Luke watched in surprise as the Doctor jumped and flapped his arms and flew up the steps to the next landing. Clyde and Rani were facing away.
"Yeah, which means?" the Doctor asked, looking around.
"Hostages! He can use us to get at her," Rani exclaimed.
"We've met-." Clyde began.
"Wait, hold on," Luke interrupted, "What was that?"
"What was what?" the Doctor asked.
Clyde and Rani faced him.
"You mean this?" the Doctor asked, hopping into the air and floating down the steps.
"Whoa!" Clyde exclaimed, stepping back.
"Really? She never told you I can fly?"
"No, no," Luke said, forcing a laugh, "That is impossible. That is scientifically impossible, defying all the laws of nature. You can't fly."
"I most certainly can," the Doctor said, jumping into the air and floating on his back, "Maybe there are some laws you haven't discovered yet." He pushed his foot on the air and flipped backwards, landing lightly on his feet.
"Now you're just showing off," Clyde said.
"'Course I am! You should see your faces!"
"Okay, trying to get back on track," Clyde began, "As I was saying, we've met the Trickster before, but we've never found out who he is."
