Disclamer: All characters belong to J.K Rowling! I am copying the actual text of the story in my own, I do not wish to criticize the amazing work of Ms. Rowling, but I love the idea of characters reacting to their own stories. I do not own Harry Potter in any way!
Chapter 1
Umbridge was pacing the corridors of the seventh floors. She was furious that Potter kept finding ways to undermine her in class. "I just need to find a way to prove his lies!" Umbridge thought over and over again. It had become a sort of mantra for her. She knew that of course Potter was an attention seeking liar, but the detentions didn't seem to be sinking in. She also wanted to find a way to get rid of the old fool in charge of the school but so far nothing had come up to be suitable enough evidence to sack him. After about a minute of pacing the same hall she stopped only to turn around to the sight of a door. "That wasn't here before," Umbridge thought. Quickly she stepped through the door. It opened up to a small room with a table on it. Stacked upon it were seven books and a note. At one glance of the note and book she grinned wickedly. This was what she needed. At further inspection she read the note.
Dear Umbridge,
It has come to our attention that you want to prove Mr. Potter's lies.
This is a series of books that has been proven to be true.
We assure you that the information you will find is the absolute truth.
These seven books are a collection of memories about Mr. Potter's life.
Unlike a pensieve,
These memories can not be tampered with.
We wish you to read these books in front of the entire school
As well as the individuals on the list below:
Cornelius Fudge
Alastor Moody
Nymphadora Tonks
Kinglsey Shacklebolt
Mrs. Weasley
Mr. Weasley
Percy Weasley
Remus Lupin
Snuffles (Remus's dog)
And Madame Bones
We wish that you do not make any decisions until AFTER the books are read
If you do not comply with these rules Hogwarts will lock her doors,
Hogwarts will be in a time bubble until the last page of the last book has been read.
We are sorry to inform you that the spell that makes these books connects Mr. Potter directly to
the memories being read.
Therefore any physical pain, feeling, or touch will be relived.
We therefore ask you to consider what you do before you read these books.
If we feel the need we will send notes to the school or individuals,
We wish you happy reading!
Signed from the future,
H.J.P, H.J.G, R.B.W
Yes! This was exactly what she needed! She didn't care if Potter suffered slightly from the readings. It wasn't like any of their adventures were actually real or dangerous. At least it got back at him for being an annoying, lying, arrogant, brat.
Umbridge took the books from the table along with the note. Hurriedly she rushed to the Headmaster's office. Upon her entry Dumbledore looked startled but calmly asked,
"What is it that you might need Dolores?"
"I have found these books! I assure you they are nothing but the truth. We will be reading them in front of the entire population of the school, no excuses. I need you to contact all of these people on this list!" Dumbledore looked startled to be addressed this way but took a look at the list and became increasingly worried.
"Professor Umbridge, what may I ask are these books about?" Umbridge smirked at the look on his face. "Mr. Potter" The two words seemed to harden Dumbledore's face, but all of a sudden it relaxed. "It could be helpful on our part?" Dumbledore thought and made up his mind. "I will send for the requested peers, but I assure you Professor, this is an extreme breach of Mr. Potter's privacy." Umbridge all but smirked at the words but made out a response.
"He does not deserve privacy, for he is a liar." Umbridge sneered at the last words daring the old man to challenge her but he did not. Instead all he did was grimace. "Very well Dolorus."
Walking happily out of the fools office she came to her private quarters and decided that she had done a day's work, and that tomorrow she would be pleased with the effects.
Dumbledore then took a closer look at the note, and noticed with horror the full extent as to what he had agreed to.
