In this latest fifth Chapter of Maggie Pan, Andrew and Maggie have made their way to the coast where Andrew will start giving Maggie the first lesson in sword fighting which will be interrupted by a group of Lost Boys who ambush them and take them to their hideout.
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters of Hook but I do own some characters in the story, so enjoy reading it.
Chapter Five.
Meanwhile at the Lost Boys' hideout on a tall rocky outcropping just offshore of the island.
Tinker Bell the fairy had flown across the skies until she came to the Lost Boys' hideout where Thud Butt was playing swordfight with Don't Ask the Lost boy.
The boy Don't ask was about to win the swordfight game when a bright light caught his attention and allowed Thud Butt to poke Don't Ask in the chest. In the seconds after Thud butt won the game Tinker Bell flew in between the two.
"Thud Butt, Don't ask I need you to listen up. I need your help guys." Tinker Bell said to the two lost boys as she floated in front of them, looking at their faces. Don't ask, the cool lost boy was the one to speak.
"What's the problem Tinker Bell? Has Peter come back to us?"
"No, his daughter Maggie is here though." Tinker Bell answered.
"Maggie, Peter Pan's kid is here in Neverland, well where is she?" Thud Butt asked, coming close to Tinker Bell as she turned to look at him and she responded. "She's on the Island somewhere and she's looking for the Lost Boys."
"Well then we have to go off and look for her, Tinker Bell can you sprinkle some pixie dust on me, I'll also need you and Don't Ask to go and alert Ace and Pockets and Tootles, tell them that I need them to help me find Maggie, Peter's daughter as soon as possible." Thud Butt instructed Tinker Bell, and Don't ask before the fairy took out some of her pixie dust. She then sprinkled on Thud Butt.
Thinking some of his happy thoughts he then started to fly up in the air.
As soon as he was floating high Thud Butt spoke, "Thank you Tinker Bell." With that Thud Butt flew off to his treehouse so he can retrieve his sword and go odd to find Maggie in the air whilst Tinker Bell and Don't ask went off to perform their orders.
As soon as he arrived at the treehouse he found and retrieved Peter Pan's sword from two hanger bolts on the wall.
Once he had sheathed the sword into his belt, Thud Butt flew off in the air from his treehouse and the Lost Boys Hideout.
Flying across the sea from the treehouse he made his flight across the large Island.
He searched for any sign of Maggie who was roaming across the forests of the island looking for the lost boys. Knowing that he and his other friends, the lost boys had set up some traps in the area they sought to give her a warning before she steps into one of the traps.
But as Thud Butt flew about in the air, Tinker Bell and Don't ask went through the turf columns screaming aloud and alerting the others of the situation.
At the Coastline a hundred miles away from the Indian encampment.
The boat carrying the three travellers: Lieutenant Austen, Caitlin Corven and Moira was getting close enough to the shallow part, so Lieutenant Austen drew the oars in.
Lieutenant Austen then grabbed his rifle from the bottom of the boat before he climbed out of the boat to scout out ahead of the two women who then climbed out as well to drag the boat into the shore and then hide it away from any boats abroad from the shoreline who might see it in plain view.
As soon as Moira and Caitlin were on the shoreline with the boat, Caitlin started unloading it taking a sword and rifle as well as a sack of supplies for camping as they would make their way across the Neverland forests before nightfall.
As Moira looked about the whole area, she hoped that there were no Cannibal natives in the area or at least any sharks and octopuses but most of all she was hoping that her daughter Maggie had made it out safely.
It was after Caitlin had emptied the boat, she approached Moira.
"Are you alright?" Caitlin asked. Moira turned to her, seeing her concern she spoke.
"Yeah, I was just thinking whether there are any natives in this part of the Island or any animals." Caitlin drew a small grin at her worries, so she gave her some assurance.
"Well there are still some animals on this whole animals but if you're worried about anything like the Cannibal natives in Cannibal Cove, then you should know that we had cleared it out shooting down all cannibal natives. We converted a few of them. My husband was planning on building new outposts in Cannibal cove" Caitlin spoke, in assurance. "Really?" asked Moira.
"Of course, Charles had hoped it would be the third outpost on the island so that if we decide to expand and build a new fort for our ships, then Cannibal Cove will be for us to use." Caitlin explained to Moira.
It was when the Lieutenant had then returned to the two ladies, he spoke.
"I'm afraid that I have some bad news."
"What is it Lieutenant?" asked Caitlin.
Lieutenant Austen spoke out. "The pathway past the Indian encampment is blocked off by a group of Pirates, it seems that someone must have sent them into the pathway encase there were any who might try to escape. So we might have to take the long way through either Cannibal Cove or the Mermaid Lagoon."
"Unless there might be another way Lieutenant." Moira stated, Lieutenant Austen and Caitlin looked at her. "What do you mean Mistress Banning?" asked Lieutenant Austen.
"If I could draw the pirates away from the path, it might give you and Caitlin a chance to go past the path and head for the Outpost." Moira explained to them and then Lieutenant Austen spoke out. "What, No I cannot let you put yourself in danger."
"Listen to me Lieutenant, I'm a fast runner so I can throw them off my trail and then take the boat off to the sea. By then you and Caitlin can get to Curly Corven before the pirates come back and see you on the path." Moira spoke pressing on her plans as she stood face to face with Lieutenant Austen who looked at her reluctant to go along with the plan before he reconsidered it and spoke.
"If this plan fails, then it's on your head. So I hope that you're as fast as you say you are Mistress Banning."
"Thank you Lieutenant. But before I do this, may I ask do you have a first name?" asked Moira.
The Lieutenant looked down in thought before he answered. "It's William, William Michael Austen. But my friends call me Will."
Moira paused looking at his face before she replied. "Moira."
Lieutenant Austen reached up to his belt to pull out a knife from his sheath, he handed it to her as he spoke. "For your own protection Moira, now let us get started." With that the Lieutenant led Moira and Caitlin into the Never forest, leaving the boat on the beach.
They went further into the forest, they ventured along the path.
As soon as they got close to the path, they stopped before they moved to the side having caught the sight of a small group of what looked to be four or five Pirates on guard duty in the path. Lieutenant Theo Austen watched on the pirate group whilst Moira and Caitlin watched for a few seconds until Moira pulled Caitlin away from Lieutenant Austen to speak to her in private and alone. "What is it, Moira?" Caitlin asked Moira who spoke out.
"I have an idea to share with you so that you can pass it on to your husband if you see him."
Caitlin frowned before she asked her.
"Alright then, what is this idea you wanted to share with me?"
Moira leaned forward to Caitlin's ear, cupping her hand so no one can read her lips.
As she whispered the aspects of her plan to her, Caitlin listened carefully to her plan when Lieutenant Austen turned away from the Pirate group camped out to see the two women who were whispering together.
So he approached the two women who turned to see him.
"Alright Ladies, it's time to set our plan into motion; those pirates don't seem to be leaving anytime soon."
Receiving the news that their time is up, Caitlin nodded in confirmation as did Moira before she got herself ready to make a run for it.
Meanwhile at the end of the forest.
It was in the short while before Lieutenant Austen and the two ladies had initiated their plan, Maggie and Andrew had slowed their horse as they were reaching what looked to be a Lagoon. As soon as their horse had stopped at a close distance from the lagoon, Maggie and Andrew had dismounted. Andrew walked the horse to a tree.
He tied the reins to the branch before he went into one of the bushes.
Picking up two long broken sticks from the ground he stepped out of the bushes.
Passing by Maggie as she stood beside her horse whilst checking the saddle pockets, he then walked towards the beach where he stood waiting for Maggie who turned around to stand and watch him curiously. "What are you doing Andre?" she asked him.
Andrew held a stick end out to Maggie and he spoke.
"Well you wanted to learn about sword fighting, so I want to teach you a few defence sword strikes and attack strikes so that you can defend yourself when we meet the Lost Boys. So are you ready?"
Maggie looked at the sword in Andrew's hand as he held it by the blade so that she can take the handle, looking up at his face she drew a small grin.
She walked forward from the horse before taking the sword by the handle and she turned away from him to take a few steps forward.
Maggie swung the sword from side to side, getting a feel for the sword before she turned back to Andrew who then began instructing her on her foot stance.
When he gave a sword salute, Maggie did the same.
The two took their stance before Andrew began to fight Maggie who swung her sword in response.
Within the first few minutes of their training, Andrew helped her with the stance.
Seeing that she needed to show her, Andrew gave her a few demonstrations of what he learned in his lessons from his father which he made into a game for his son.
In their training, Maggie began to listen and watch each of Andrew's attack swings and thrusts in their swordplay before the two then engaged.
Within their first match in duelling swordplay, Maggie had failed the first two rounds of the match but then she started to improve in the third match.
Andrew was beginning to like her commitment and her brave efforts.
As they continued to train in the first few lessons, the training continued for an hour but they were not alone.
Just when he was getting close to the ground he got spotted by Maggie who was just stepping to the side to avoid Andrew's sword thrust.
She deflected it away from her, and she stood back. Holding her ground, Maggie used some of Andrew's attacks against him until he came up to her. He grabbed on the wrist of Maggie's right hand, wrapping his right arm around her waist before he lifted her up.
With Maggie trapped in his arm, he sent her down flat on the ground.
In a moment Andrew had Maggie pinned down as she looked up at his face.
Andrew was about to lean forward towards her face when a flicker of a light flash caught his eye, Andrew turned his head to follow it to the Island when he saw the flick which was as if the sun was reflecting the light from a mirror of sorts.
Maggie followed his gaze to see the light flickered again and she realised that someone was watching them.
She turned to Andrew who turned his head to her as they were thinking the same thing. "I think we've done enough training for today, its best that we get moving whilst the sun is still up. Can you get off me please?" Maggie asked Andrew. Grinning Andrew nodded before he stood up.
Stepping forward, he offered his hand to her.
When Maggie took his hand, Andrew pulled her onto her feet.
Once she was on her feet, Maggie brushed her trousers off. Andrew observed her as she did this before he spoke. "I must admit Maggie, you're not too bad at swordplay and you certainly know how to ride a horse well enough, in fact, I thought you were pretty good. Can I ask where did you learn to ride horses? I mean for a girl who lives in a city I did not take you for a horse rider."
"I used to go to a camp where I had learned to ride horses for a few months; my dad decided to let me attend a horse riding camp.
The lessons were so much fun that I began to work there for one year so that I can gain some free lessons and I guess I enjoyed it." Maggie explained her past as a horse rider.
"Oh, that sounds good, I'm glad that you can at least ride a horse without falling off the saddle and into the mud. Of course, I've been riding horses a lot longer than you city girl." Andrew remarked in a cheeky way, Maggie squinted at him in offence.
"Well at least I know how to show some manners, that's better than yours." she said to Andrew before she went towards the salty waters that were coming and going with the waves. As soon as she came to the water she bent over and washed her hands of the sand whilst Andrew approached her.
"Well, I'm sorry that you're such a stick in the mud." Andrew remarked.
With a smirk on her face, Maggie knew he struck a chord with her.
So she threw some seawater on him, splashing him at that instant before he retaliated.
Pretty soon the two started splashing each other for a few seconds laughing as they went before Maggie ran across the water.
Splashing about in the water, she turned away.
She ran towards where the horse was grazing on the grassy grounds.
Andrew chased after her running across the shallow waters until he caught her and tickled her ribs, Maggie laughed and screamed at his tickling before they stopped to take a breather and then the two of them looked at one another.
But although Maggie was enjoying herself having some fun on the beach, she knew that they needed to leave before she forgets why she was there.
So she tickled him back to get him to let her go, he begged her to stop before he released her. Maggie then went to the horse, but approaching the saddle she pulled out a water skin from the pocket. Opening the lid, she took a drink of water from it.
When Andrew approached her and the horse, Maggie turned around to face him.
She offered the animal skin bottle to Andrew. "Thank you." he said and took a sip from it.
Closing the lid of the bottle, Andrew placed it back into the saddle pocket. After helping Maggie climb onto the saddle and setting her feet into the stirrups, Andrew then climbed on top of the horse as well, settling in his position behind her.
Once they were ready the two then rode along the sandy path towards the high ground island that almost looked like a tree but it was really the hideout of the Lost Boys who resided there. They rode their horse for a third of the hour in the daytime as they got closer and closer to the Lost boys' hideout.
Back at the Coast.
At the Pirate camp in the short while of the day, the four pirates were talking together.
One of them was laughing at another's joke as the two others gave a giggle when one of them turned his head to the side.
It was then that Moira stepped out of her hiding place.
"Hey! I'm over here if you want to get me you scabrous dogs!" Moira shouted.
She then made a run for it with the pirates now gathering their rifles and weapons to give chase to the woman.
As soon as the pirates had gone off on their chasing Moira, Lieutenant Austen led Caitlin onto the road and they went forward across the path.
Passing the Pirate camp they were able to get past unnoticed before continuing on the way towards the Northern Outpost where Curly Corven was.
Whilst Lieutenant Corven and Caitlin were making their way towards the other end, Moira had continued to run across the forest until she found herself coming to a hillside. Turning back to see if they were still following her, Moira thought that she had lost them as she panted, taking a moment to catch her breath. She had soon slowed her breath for a short moment.
Moira was about to relax when she caught sight of one of the ruthless Pirates in the distance who saw her.
So she stood herself up and then she continued to run up and along the hillside as she sought to get as far away from the pirates as possible.
For a moment she thought that she could succeed in getting away.
But her confidence fell when she suddenly tripped on one of the tree roots from a tree that grew on the hillside. Falling to the ground, Moira had the wind pushed out of her as the pirates were catching up to her.
By the time she had pushed herself to the side and laid down on her back, at least four of the pirates caught up and then surrounded her.
The first one who was obviously in charge of the group looked down at her.
"Well well, it looks like we caught ourselves a little fox in the chase boys." he said.
Before he could reach out to her, Moira spouted a word. "Parlay."
The word had stopped the first pirate who then asked. "What?"
"Parlay, I invoke the right of Parlay." Moira responded leaving the four pirates standing and looking at one another when the third pirate spoke. "Missy, If you know of our code then why on earth would you wish to invoke that right which is set down by the pirates, Morgan and Bartholomew?"
"I only wish to speak with your captain, so you'll have to take me to him immediately." Moira answered when the fourth Pirate spoke.
"She's right, as it is in accord with the Code of our once known brethren, we have to take her to Captain Sephiran immediately."
"I would care less about taking you to him than running you through with a cutlass missy." said the second Pirate, drawing his cutlass on Moira as she grew afraid.
That was when the First Pirate tapped his sword on the cutlass and pushed it away before he spoke out. "If an adversary demands parlay you can do them no harm until the parlay is complete."
"To blazes with the Damn code." The second pirate shouted.
"Torres, be quiet, if she wants to be taken to the Captain, then she shall go without a fuss; We each must honour the Code as Sephiran would demand us to. Take her gentlemen." The first pirate said, before sheathing his sword. The two other pirates took hold of her arms before they pulled her onto her feet and then they took her away to the coast where their boat was anchored.
As they went towards the boat, Moira hoped the others had got through safely.
But before they went further into the Forest, One of the pirates stepped up behind her and blindfolded her eyes to keep her from seeing anything. With their prisoner now blindfolded, they continued on with their new hostage in tow.
Later that day, the Lost boys Hideout.
Having ridden all the way towards the Hideout of the Lost Boys which stood on what looked to be a tall rocky outcropping just offshore of the island, Maggie had slowed her horse as soon as they were close enough to a pathway that led all the way up to the high grounds.
Seeing that they would have to walk from here, Andrew dismounted from the horse saddle.
Once he had helped Maggie down, the two of them then started taking out their provisions and weapons as well as the sword belts attached to the saddle.
After their horse's saddle was emptied, Andrew sent the horse away before he joined Maggie who was waiting for him. Walking side by side, Andrew and Maggie then started their hill walk towards the path leading to the Hideout of the Lost Boys.
Heading up the way with each step, Maggie stumbled a bit but Andrew reached down and helped her up.
The two continued to get as high up as they could until they stopped to rest.
Whilst they were sitting down apart, Maggie took the time to look out into the view of Neverland.
It was as Great grandmother Wendy had described in the books, from where she sat she saw the Mermaid lagoon where the mermaids were singing their siren melodies and swimming about in their beloved lagoon in the East part.
Maggie couldn't help but imagine how magical they were and wonder what their songs are like even. So feeling a song coming on, Maggie started to sing the same song her mother sang to her. "When you're all alone, Far away from home There's a gift the angel sent. When you're alone Everyday must end
But the night's our friend Angels always send a star When you're alone."
As Maggie sang, Andrew turned his head to her and he listened to her singing which sounded beautiful. But what they didn't know was that some of the lost boys on top were listening too, they had assumed that it was the song of the mermaids as far as they were concerned, but it seemed different.
The Little lost boys Too Small and Pockets were almost entranced by the song as well that they fell asleep as well as the other lost boys who were so young whilst the teenage boys just listened, drawing small grins at the sound of what they thought was mermaids down below. When she stopped singing, Maggie turned to look at Andrew who seemed so entranced with her.
"What?" Maggie asked curious to know why he was staring.
"It seemed to be years since I heard a young girl sing so beautifully." Andrew answered. After a short pause, Andrew spoke again.
"I'm sorry if I was staring at you, I was entranced by the sound of your voice. It sounded intriguing."
Both cheeks on Maggie's face had suddenly blushed red at the compliment of Andrew's entrancement, as she knew that he was starting to crush on her.
"I'm flattered to hear that you think that my voice is beautiful." Maggie said to Andrew who looked down as if he was embarrassed to say such nice things to a girl that he might not see again after this adventure is over.
"Well you're probably the only girl that I've ever spoken to ever." said Andrew
On hearing that she was the only girl he had ever met in Neverland, Maggie had started to feel that there was more to this obnoxious boy than she originally thought. But she snapped herself out of the clouds reminding herself that she had a task at hand and the sooner she can get to the Lost boys' hideout and recruit them the better. Realizing that they were lingering for too long, Maggie stood herself up from the ground.
She gathered her things together as Andrew watched her.
Andrew stood up and gathered his things as well before Maggie made her way up to the hill path, he followed her on the pathway trying to catch up to her and he spoke to her. "Did I say something wrong Maggie?" But she did not answer. Instead, she kept on walking up the high hill.
She was getting well near the high part of the hill as Andrew was catching up to him.
Maggie found herself distracted when all of a sudden she felt something catch her leg.
As if someone had hooked a hook around her legs she tripped on her back dragging her from the floor and into the treehouse above.
Andrew saw her being pulled up by her legs, he ran forward to catch her but he couldn't reach her. So he looked around to find if there was another rope trap.
As Andrew was looking for another rope trap to get up the top, Maggie soon found herself upside down from the ground hanging like she was a bat.
She became surprised since she was being pulled up from the ground, she wished that she had some pixie dust or at least a small sack of the dust in her pockets. Although she knew how to fly, her thoughts were not happy at dangling about on the rope that held her upside down in the air.
Back on the path and just as he thought that there was no other trap, Andrew breathed a sigh and placed his hand on the wall when one of the vines hooked itself around his hand. Andrew turned his head to see his hand caught on the trap, but he used his weight to keep it from pulling him all the way up.
Pulling out his knife he cut his hand free whilst holding on to the vine.
Laughing a little at how creative his old friends had been, Andrew sheathed his knife before he took hold of the vine.
He then stood up to allow it to draw him up to the treehouse. In the second when the rope had stopped drawing him up to the top of the ground, his head was level with Maggie as she was still upside down. Her long hair was standing up on ends, she was left in embarrassment by the trap that she fell into as she was dangling about and trying to keep her shirt down to cover the top part of her body.
"Andrew what was that?" she asked.
"That was one of the Lost boys' traps Maggie." Andrew explained before he tried to swing himself over to Maggie who was still upside down, worried that someone might see her bra and belly. Andrew grabbed hold of one of her hands as he spoke.
"Maggie, Maggie listen to me, if you stay calm I will try to get you out!" Andrew said to Maggie.
She started to calm herself down and keep herself covered. Once she felt calm, she spoke.
"Okay but you just keep your eyes on my face and don't look up at my trousers."
Andrew started to giggle a bit as Maggie tried to keep her shirt down.
It wasn't a short few seconds before a group of older boys appeared to see them.
As Maggie kept her shirt down, she looked around to see the boys with knives and weapons whilst she was upside down. So she reached for her knife in case she needed to defend herself. Andrew looked down at the boys and he spoke to the boys.
"Hello boys, would any of you boys like to get this young lady down please?"
One of them known as Don't Ask then spoke. "It depends on who you are to us?"
"I was a Little Fire Crow to Ace and Thud Butt.." Andrew spoke to the lost boys.
"Oh, Andre. so have you come back to our turf?" it was Ace the lost boy with the top hat who asked Andrew who drew a smirk at him.
Letting go of the vine in his hand he landed on his feet approaching Ace, who approached him. But what Ace didn't expect from Andrew was him grabbing him and pulling him into an embrace. As Andrew was enjoying his reunion with his old friend, Maggie was just reaching up to her legs, bending over she pulled herself up towards the ankles to keep the blood from rushing to her head.
The lost boy Too Small was aiming his slingshot on her back end when Andrew turned his head to see what Too Small was doing.
"Too Small!" He shouted aloud to the little boy who mistakenly released his shot on Maggie's back end.
Feeling the sting on her end, Maggie released himself and was left hanging whilst screaming in pain placing her hands on her butt and rubbing it. The lost boys laughed a little when Andrew looked up at Too Small who ran away to hide from him. Andrew then spoke in a harsh tone.
"Damn you, little blockheads, that was not funny hitting a girl like that."
"Well, it is to us Andre." Latchboy said to Andre.
Even one of the other lost boys named Braggart had agreed with him.
Andrew was about to walk up to the lost boy named Braggart who was cowering away.
Raising his fist, Andrew looked as if he was about to punch him when there was a voice of someone familiar who then shouted aloud.
"Good grief you lost boys, there's no need to quarrel further."
The lost boys turned their heads to look at an old man coming out from the corner with Don't Ask at his side. As they came to stop the fight between Andrew and the Lost Boy Braggart, Andre found that it was Tootles accompanied by Don't Ask. When they looked up to see Maggie hanging up in the air, Tootles spoke. "Maggie?"
Recognizing Peter Pan's daughter, Tootles spoke out to the lost boys.
"Cut her down you boys. That's Peter's daughter."
"Peter Pan's little girl." Don't Ask and Tootles had shouted the words together.
The words from Tootles and Don't ask were the words that brought shock upon each of the lost boys present in the area. Realizing the mistake that the other Lost Boys had made, Ace went to the tree where the rope holding Maggie was.
Tootles and Don't Ask approached to help Ace in holding the ropes whilst Ace drew his knife to cut the girl down.
Maggie had managed to reach up to her legs again.
But then Tinker bell flew in and cut the rope before Ace could.
The second the rope holding Maggie by the ankles was cut, Ace and Don't Ask caught the rope end before it went flying. Holding the rope, the two boys then lowered Maggie down from the heights until she was close to where Andrew was standing with his arms up front to catch her.
Once he caught her, holding her in his arms in a bridal style, Maggie looked at Andre for a moment before she leaned forward.
Pressing her lips, she kissed him on the cheek, which made him smile.
"Thank you." Maggie said as Tootles approached Andrew who lowered her to the ground.
Tootles bent down and reached out before he helped Maggie get the ropes off her ankles.
Once the ropes were undone, Maggie stood herself up with Tootles' help.
When Andrew turned his head, he looked up at the old man Tootles.
He brushed himself off before he approached the famous old lost boy he heard of long ago. Andrew spoke addressing the former lost boy.
"So you are the Famous lost boy Tootles." Tootles drew a grin at Andrew.
"Yes I am Andre or should I call you Little Fire Crow as your reputation is well known, how are you young man?" Tootles answered offering his hand to Andrew. "Very good thank you Tootles." Andrew said as he took his hand. He shook hands with Tootles whilst Maggie brushed herself off before she turned herself around and looked at him. With a warm grin, she stepped forward to embrace him.
Maggie then said to him. "Oh Tootles, it's so good to see you again after a long time."
"Indeed and I missed you too since I found my marbles and flew all the way back to Neverland. But I must ask how is Wendy?" Tootles asked Maggie, who then drew a sad face at the reminder of her great grandmother.
Lowering her head and closing her eyes, Maggie couldn't answer but Tootles had realized that Wendy was no longer among the living anymore.
"Oh I see that Wendy is no longer with us anymore." he said, starting to draw a grimace followed by a sad look. Maggie raised her head before she spoke.
"She is not anymore, but she did live a great life and she is now a part of us all." Maggie drew a small grin for Tootles when Andrew approached the two.
"I'm glad to see that your memory hasn't changed," he said to Tootles who turned his head to look at Andrew before he spoke.
"Oh, I couldn't forget the name of any lost boy here. So have you and Maggie come here to stay and have fun with me and the other lost boys?"
"Actually Tootles, Andrew and I have come here to ask for the aid of the Lost boys."
Maggie had begun explaining when from above the Lost boy Leader Thud Butt was returning to the hideout after his time of looking around for Maggie.
Looking down he saw a girl on the grounds with the Elderly Tootles.
His hand was on the shoulder of the boy beside the girl.
It looked as if the two were speaking to the old man Tootles whilst the other Lost Boys were watching them, so he flew down to get a closer look.
Just when he was getting close to the ground he got spotted by Maggie who turned to face the Lost boy as she was starting to explain why she was here in Neverland.
Andrew went to her side as they looked up to see a flying big boy coming down to the ground to investigate what was going on in the hideout.
Tootles drew a grin at the sight of Thud Butt when he had landed on the open ground in front of the other Lost Boys.
Maggie and Andrew watched as Tootles stepped in and spoke to Thud Butt about what happened to Maggie and Andrew when they stepped into that trap.
Maggie stepped forward to look closely at the Lost boy, recognising him before she spoke out to the Lost Boy. "Thud Butt, Is that your name?"
All of a sudden Thud Butt spoke asking her a question whilst he kept his hand on the sword tucked behind his back sheath but he stopped his hand.
"Wait, how do you know me, girl?" Thud asked her.
"Because my dad Peter Pan knew you since you and the Lost boys trained him before he saved me and my brother, Jack, four years ago. Don't you remember?" Maggie explained to Thud Butt as he approached her. Having spent most of his days having adventures in Neverland which made him forget about Maggie and her brother Jack, the memory of the war game which happened four years earlier suddenly came jogging back into his mind.
On being reminded of that war game years ago, Thud realized that the girl he was speaking to was the same Maggie Banning he helped Peter Pan save from Captain Hook and the pirates, his mouth opened in surprise. He started to laugh at the memory as he spoke.
"Oh man, you can't be Peter Pan's little kid."
"I'm afraid that we haven't properly spoken since you last saw me." Maggie explained to Thud Butt, who then let his hand loose from the sword as he stood in front of Maggie. "My name is Maggie in case you forget, its an honour to see you again Thud Butt." she said,
"Yes of course Maggie, Tinker Bell told me your name when she came to see me." Thud said to Maggie who then asked him. "Tink, she went to see you?"
Thud Butt nodded to her before he spoke. "Yes she said to us all that you were in trouble, so I flew out across the skies to find you. I'm sorry about the traps that gave you a fright earlier on, we didn't want any Pirates coming up the path leading to our Hideout."
"Well, I forgive you for what happened. And I would like to thank Tinkerbell for sending you to find me when I see her." Maggie replied to Thud Butt.
"Indeed and it's nice to see you again too Maggie, you have grown so well. I think the other boys and I could have mistaken you for a mermaid only with legs." Thud said to Maggie who drew a small grin with gratitude to the kind Black boy.
Andrew approached the two and he spoke.
"You know, I was afraid that the Scottish hat you were wearing might have taken those memories of yours away Thud Butt."
When Thud Butt turned his head to Andrew, he looked at him.
Approaching the young man in front of him, Thud Butt looked at Andrew from top to bottom to see if he was still the same boy who was a former lost boy before he went off to find his father and get to know him again. Thud Butt drew a grin before he spoke.
"I didn't think that we would see each other again little fire Crow."
"I knew that someday I would have to come back to this hideout again."
Andrew replied before Thud Butt then proceeded to come up to Andrew who came up as well and shared an embrace with his former friend.
Maggie, Tootles and the other lost boys had become glad to see Andrew talking to their leader like they were old friends. They each listened to them talk.
"What happened to you?" Thud Butt asked his friend.
Andrew chuckled at Thud Butt's question before he replied by explaining to him.
"I became Andrew Corven, son of Commodore Charles Corven of Fort: Fairfax. I've been spending time with my father after I learned about who I really was to him and we got to play together and learn together for the fun of it. Although the grown-ups have said that I was a real fire crow, they were just glad to have me around to help them. I play a few games with each of the grown-ups, through them I have grown to be a leader like you, my friend."
"At least you've grown a little bit since I last saw you." said Thud Butt.
"Well it has been a long time Thud Butt if you could remember the games we played together, you were Thud Butt the cannonball."
"Oh Fire Crow, I remember that name well. And you were the rudest lost boy I've ever been friends with." Thud said, reminiscing about the olden days which were in the long years before Peter had decided not to return to Neverland. Maggie suddenly giggled at that remark.
"I find that very easy to Believe." she said, Andrew turned his head to throw her a playful glare, but privately liked the sound of her giggle whilst Ace and Don't Ask chuckled at the spunk she was showing.
"I may have changed my manners to be polite to others and but in appearance, I am still a half-lost boy at heart who has found his way in Neverland. Anyways I'm glad that you got chosen to lead the Lost Boys in Neverland." said Andrew when Maggie parted from Tootles to approach the two.
"Okay, I hate to break up the reunion between you two but Thud Butt, I must ask if you can take us somewhere so we can talk. I am in need of your help." Maggie said to the two boys who turned to look at her. Andrew then approached Maggie's side before he spoke. "Actually Thud, we're in need of your help."
Thud Butt looked at the tow for a short moment as if deciding whether or not to help Maggie as it had been a long time.
Drawing a small grin, Thud butt gave his answer to the Lost boys.
"Lost Boys, tonight we shall celebrate the return of our Lost Boy Little fire crow and Maggie Pan, Peter's daughter!"
Most of the Lost Boys gave a cheer for their new guests whilst Thud Butt stepped close to the two.
"Follow me I know a place where we can talk together." Thud said before he went off along the right path to what looked to be a Basketball court.
As Maggie, Andrew and Tootles, Don't ask and Ace followed Thud Butt to the Basket Ball court, Maggie turned to look at the lost Boy Don't ask when she spoke to him. "Hey can I ask what they call you?" Don't ask turned his head to look at Maggie before he answered.
"The name is Don't Ask."
"Don't ask? is that what you call yourself?" asked Maggie.
When Don't Ask nodded to her, Maggie couldn't help but laugh at how ridiculous it sounded. The Lost Boy noticed her laughing and frowned at her.
"What's so funny Why are you laughing?"
"Cause of your name Don't ask, it's not a name." Maggie said to the lost boy, who became offended.
Realizing that she had offended the cool Lost Boy Don't ask, Maggie then explained.
"Listen the words are what other people say to you when you ask a question that they don't want to answer at all. Do you have another name in mind or shall I give you a name? Cause I know a lot of cool names you might like."
"Really?" Don't ask asked with a raised brow.
"Yes you could be Johnny or Rocky cool or how about Donald?" asked Maggie.
The lost boy thought about it before he then took his place by the wall of the court with Thud Butt standing in the middle, waiting as the Lost boy Ace was leading Tootles to take a seat by a rock near the wall whilst Maggie took a seat on the floor.
Andrew then took a seat on the floor as well.
Thud Butt spoke addressing his old friend and Maggie.
"So you said to me that you needed my help, then tell me your story Maggie."
Maggie stood herself up and she began to speak about her mother's arrival in Neverland first and then spoke about the Bargain she made with the Commodore, Andrew's father. Thud Butt and Don't ask, Tootles and Ace listened carefully as did Andrew while the daughter of Peter Pan revealed the danger the soldiers of Fort; Fairfax were facing and what was going to happen.
As Maggie was telling her story, the little lost boy Too small appeared from the corner.
He suddenly listened to the sad story that Maggie was telling when she felt his eyes were on her.
Turning her head she spotted him which made his eyes widen in fright at her furious face.
Still mad at the boy for shooting her in the butt, Maggie turned to face him.
"You little monkey! I'll teach you a lesson for shooting me with the slingshot." she said before she started giving chase to the lost boy.
Too Small ran as Maggie chased after her all around the hideout.
Thud Butt and Andrew stood and watched the fun.
It reminded Andrew that he still needed to get even with her for punching him and nudging him in the ribs.
"Well that's a start for a lost girl in Neverland, I have to tell you something else Thud. Maggie has got a really mean fist punch in her." Andrew said to Thud Butt who snickered. The other lost boys just laughed at Maggie chasing after Too Small for shooting her in the butt.
The twin lost boys up in the trees watched and laughed as Maggie chase the boy Too Small across the grounds until they got to the skateboard track that Rufio used to ride. Climbing on board, Too Small pushed the skateboard down along the track until it moved on its own before Maggie stepped upon the track and then took a second board to go after the little boy. As the chase went on through the trees of the Hideout and up to the high road and low road like a roller coaster until Tinker Bell appeared and flew down upon Too Small who saw her light before her light diminished.
"Tinker Bell, what are you doing here?" asked Too Small.
"I came to see if Maggie has arrived here to see you." The Fairy answered.
"She is here all right Tinker Bell, but right behind me cos she's chasing after me." Too small explained to the fairy.
Tinker Bell looked to the back before she flew straight towards Maggie who was on the board in pursuit and got closer to the boy who then jumped onto another track. As she rode her board on the track Maggie explained to Tink what the matter was.
When the fairy learned from her about what Too Small did, she became furious.
But Maggie then asked the fairy if she could help her. Tink nodded to Maggie's plan before she flew off ahead of Too Small.
As soon as he slowed his board down, Too small thought that he was safe until his board stopped sending him flying out and down into a muddy pool.
The Little boy Too small landed on his back end, creating a splash that splattered about the area before he resurfaced covered in mud.
When Maggie had finally appeared on the track and stopped her board, she stepped off and walked up to the edge of the track to see the Lost boy climbing out of the Muddy pool before he stood himself up on the rock and wiped his face.
"I got you now little lost boy." Maggie shouted to Too Small who looked up at her.
Maggie looked around to find a vine to climb down from the track and then found one near the rock wall. As soon as she climbed down to the edge of the rock, she approached the mud-covered Lost boy and she grabbed hold of him before he could run again. Taking his Slingshot from his pocket Maggie threw it outwards before she pulled his trousers up.
"Oww!" Too Small screamed.
"Does that hurt?" Maggie asked Too small who responded. "Uh-Huh?"
"Good, then that should teach you what happens when you disrespect girls." Maggie stated as she stood in front of Too Small who looked down in shame.
"If you want to apologize to me then say "I'm sorry." Maggie told Too Small who then looked at her. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shoot you." Too Small said to Maggie who looked at him sternly, deciding for a few seconds on whether to accept his apology.
Seeing the sad, frightened look on his face, Maggie reminded herself that he was just a little lost boy.
So taking his hand, she took some mud and rubbed it in his face laughing hysterically with a smile on her face.
"Apology accepted little boy, and We're even now. my name is Maggie." Maggie said to Too Small. "Oh hello Maggie, I'm Too Small." he said replying to Maggie's introduction, Too Small was relieved that Maggie didn't hold a permanent grudge against him.
"Well I might need to give you another name whilst I take you back." Maggie said before she took Too small by the hand and led him back through the grassy bushes filled with flowers and trees as they made their way to the Basketball court whilst Tinkerbell pulled the vine away from the track. Once that was done, she flew off to catch up with Maggie and Too Small as they made their way back to Andrew and the Lost Boys who were waiting.
