Chapter Eight.
At the Pirate's Camp.
The Fairy Tinker Bell had flown ahead of Maggie and the Lost Boys to find that the assembly of pirates who were learning of Captain Sephiran's plans to enter the empty fortress. As the pirates were disbursing from the Assembly for the night, the Captain was heading back to his high tent armed with his sword.
Realizing that Moira was in danger, Tinker Bell decided to wait on top of the High tent so she can enter it and aid in Moira's escape.
Whilst the Fairy waited for the time, Moira at her post near the prisoner, Commodore Charles Corven.
Having been told to stay with the prisoner Moira waited by her post for the time being.
When she saw Captain Sephiran turn his head to look at her, squinting as if suspicious of her, Moira suddenly realized that Walker might be onto her deception and she might be in danger.
Sitting on her spot near Charles Corven, she tried to think of a plan to escape.
As she sat at her post and thought about her escape, the pirate Starkey came up to her.
Stopping at a short distance, he gave her a plate full of food along with a cup of water. Taking the plate and a cup in her hands from Starkey, she ate her meal in peace whilst Starkey went back to his camp to have his own meal.
As she ate her meal slowly, Moira thought of at least a few ideas but in picturing them in her mind realized that each of them might turn out bad, so she sat in her spot whilst she continued thinking of some way that would keep herself and Commodore Corven from getting killed. She was continuing to think of a way that she could escape with the Commodore as she took a drink of her water and continued to eat her meal.
Moira was just finishing her meal when she turned her head to see Walker approach her.
"Miss Banning, the Captain wishes to have a word with you." he said.
Moira placed her plate on the ground by her side before she took a drink of water from her cup.
Once she finished her drink Moira placed the cup on the ground, she stood herself up, brushing some of the crumbs off of her clothes.
Turning to look at Charles, he looked back at her with a prayer for her safety.
As she left her post Moira started to grow afraid of the captain, dreading the image of his temper when he might confront her with the truth of her deception. She kept on walking towards the high tent breathing slowly as she walked on until she came to the entrance of the high tent.
Seeing no pirate guards at the entrance of the high tent, Moira looked around for anyone who might capture her or kill her before she stood up straight and then she approached the front entrance of the tent. She took a deep breath as she entered the tent to see Captain Sephiran.
He was standing at a table looking over his plans to take Corven's ship to sail around the island. "Captain Sephiran, you wanted to see me, sir?" Moira asked the captain who raised his head up, he paused for a moment before he turned to look at the woman standing at the entrance of his high tent.
"Merciless Moira. You know having realized it, I would think that you're actually not a maid but
someone else's wife." Sephiran stated to Moira.
"I'm not sure what you are talking about Captain sir." said Moira.
Captain turned himself to face the woman before he approached her.
"Having learned that your mother's name was Jane, I had one thought in my mind. It was of the ladies who bore the name and then I remembered a woman who had the same looks as you did. Her name was Wendy Darling, and truth be told you remind me of her Moira Banning or should I call you Moira Darling." he stated.
Whilst he spoke he approached her closely. Moira then grew nervous as he glared at her with fury.
He then spoke, drawing his dagger before he raised the blade up to the side of Moira's neck.
"Do you want to tell me the truth to save your own life or do you wish to continue to lie to me?" Moira grew afraid of him as he continued to glare, looking at his face and at the knife in his hand.
Sephiran spoke again in a calm voice, he began stroking her chin with his free hand whilst he held his knife on her neck near her chin. "I can admit to you, it would be a shame if a pretty face like yours would have to be put in the Boo Box. The last man who went in there didn't survive such a horrible punishment."
Gasping in terror as she remembered the stories that her husband told her, Moira was about to speak out.
At the moment she was going to reveal herself to the Captain, there was a horse neighing outside the high tent followed by a loud crash.
Captain Sephiran turned his head to the sound as did Moira.
"What the bloody red seas are going on here?" Captain Sephiran spoke.
Lowering his dagger down from her neck, he sheathed it before he went outside.
Breathing a sigh, Moira stood in terror watching him walk out through the doorway.
She felt as if she was going to pee her underpants from hearing about being sentenced to the boo box. When Captain Sephiran stepped outside to see the camp being attacked by an Indian on horseback, he noticed from the far distance at where he stood that the Indian was not an Indian, but an old man.
Tootles was riding his horse, bringing a line of Indian warriors on horseback who started appearing from the forests. The moment Tootles and the Indian horse riders had entered the Pirates' camp, they each started flanking a few of the pirates, starting a battle within the camp.
So Captain Sephiran sheathed his knife and drew his pistol, aiming to shoot their leader.
Just as he was about to take aim on Tootles, Moira pushed Captain Sephiran's arm holding the gun up. The pistol went off in the air as Moira fought Captain Sephiran but he punched her in the face. Moving to her side he raised his leg up and threw her off her feet, sending her to the ground. With Moira lying on her back, she crawled back as Captain Sephiran approached her with a glare on his face looking down on her.
"I might have guessed that you were on the side of Charles Corven, but I also didn't know that you had cared for those savage Indians as well." Captain Sephiran stated loading his pistol as he stood.
"The old man leading those Indians was one of my friends." Moira replied to Captain Sephiran who finally got his pistol loaded. He was aiming the pistol at her head, thinking of shooting the woman himself when he chose not to shoot her.
Putting the pistol back into his belt, Captain Sephiran reached down and drew his sword out.
"Since you once said that you believe shooting Charles' brother to be dishonourable, I shall choose to use the sword to fight you. If you can you can avoid my attack that might end your life and take up a sword as well to fight me." With that, the Captain raised his sword up towards the high tent's roof.
"I'm going to enjoy making your daughter my slave after she spends some time in the boo box." he said to her as he swung his sword down upon her. He was aiming to make a strike upon Moira when all of a sudden the fairy Tinker Bell appeared in bright light through the entry at the last minute.
Her dagger clanged against the sword, stopping it from landing a blow upon her. Seeing her chance Moira stood herself up on her feet. Running forward she tackled the Captain in the chest.
Once the captain was down on the ground Moira ran towards the open grounds, Tinker Bell flew to her before spreading pixie dust all over her. As she ran she started thinking of her daughter and being back home with her family.
Within a few seconds of running, before she knew it she was floating off the ground.
She laughed as she started to fly up in the air with Tinker Bell at her side, the Pirate Starkey watched from his spot on the camp, giving a chuckle as she flew off with an amusing look across the skies.
At the Fortress Gates.
Whilst Moira flew in the air, the soldier; Sergeant Rayan Horace watched the pirates who were fighting off against the Indians on horseback from the view.
Seeing their leader Tootles from the view of his position, Sergeant Horace decided to take advantage of the battle.
He took up his loaded rifle and placed it on the stand. Taking aim at his intended target, Sergeant Horace pulled on the hammer of his rifle looking out on their Indian leader Tootles who was dressed in Indian dress. Tootles was riding his horse across the camp when he received a shot in the upper part of his chest.
He yelled out in pain before he fell off his horse whilst the Indians continued to fight, attacking a couple of wagons filled with ammo, setting them on fire before they rode away from the camp.
Within the seconds that followed one of the ammo wagons blew up sky high engulfing two of the pirates but sending a few flying off their feet before landing on the grounds.
After that, the explosion left a large mushroom of smoke in the air.
During the chaos of the battle, Commodore Corven watched from the spot as did his guard Walker. He was about to turn and draw his sword when Andrew appeared from the air, plunging his sword into the pirate's chest before two more lost boys landed on the ground.
They went to the body to get the keys to Charles' chains. Once they got the keys, Ace turned to approach Charles Corven who watched them come.
"Commodore Corven, Andre's father?" Ace asked the commodore who looked at the lost boy and replied. "Yes, and I knew that you and my son would come for me."
"We thought the pirates were going to kill you." said Rocky Don't Ask.
"I may be a grown-up person Lost Boy, but the pirates had other ideas for me." Commodore Charles Corven, Andrew stepped up next to Rocky Don't Ask who stood looking at Charles whilst Ace undid his shackles and threw the chains away.
As soon as his arms were free Charles brought his arms down breathing a sigh of relief, moving his arms up and down and stretching them about grunting as his arms were stiff from hanging over his head. Once Ace cut the ropes around Charles' waist, Charles got on his feet.
When Charles stood up straight in front of the lost boys, his son Andre walked forward with open arms.
He embraced his father who folded into his embrace as well. "I'm so glad that you're alive father." Andrew said to Charles who pushed him a step as he kneeled down to take a look at him and he spoke. "It's good to see you too my son."
"I'm sorry father, I didn't mean to run away from home." Andrew spoke apologetically to his father Charles. "Shh, its alright Andrew. You knew that I needed reinforcements, so you went off to find them and you have. Now, May I ask what your names are?" he asked looking at Ace and Rocky Don't ask who then replied. "I'm Rocky, Rocky Don't Ask and that boy here is Ace."
Ace waved to Charles who nodded back to him and he spoke. "It's an honour to meet you both Rocky and Ace, I thank you both for coming to my rescue."
"Actually it was Maggie who led us into this rescue." said Ace.
Charles drew a small grin, giving a chuckle before he spoke. "I might have known that Pan's daughter might rally the other Lost Boys to the cause. Alright, boys, I need you to go get the other lost boys, my son and I will stay to get my weapons and help Maggie escape."
"Agreed." said Andrew and he turned to Ace and Rocky, who nodded as well.
With that, they started flying off back to their Lost Boys hideout.
As soon as the boys were safely flying in the distance from their grounds, Charles and Andrew went off through the camp. Whilst the escaped Commodore and his son were creeping about within the pirates' camp, the mounted Indians were soon retreating from the battle.
As soon as the mounted Indians were gone from the camp's grounds, the pirates stood armed as Captain Sephiran walked across the ruined camp as he looked around at the damage that was caused before he approached the old man Tootles who was on the ground wounded.
"So, you're the former Lost boy Tootles. It's nice to make your acquaintance," he said to the wounded old man who was terrified for his life.
Captain Sephiran paused for a few seconds and he spoke.
"Your reputation as a lost boy is well known among the pirates who came to me, so now as you lie wounded on my camp it will be for me to end your life." Captain Sephiran raised his sword ready to plunge it into the old man when a girl wearing a hood flew down from the air, landing on the ground behind the Captain. Standing on the ground she looked at the Captain who was about to strike a blow on Tootles. "Sephiran!" Maggie called out the Captain's name, which stopped Captain Sephiran himself from running the poor old man through with his sword.
Turning his head to the side, Sephiran looked at the person who was standing in his campgrounds she drew her sword to fight against any of the pirates.
Tootles raised his head up to see Maggie standing with Peter Pan's sword sheathed.
"Maggie!" he spoke out the name quietly as the pirates raised their swords to fight her. But Maggie drew his sword and pointed it on Captain Sephiran's back. "Leave the old man alone." she demanded. Captain Sephiran turned himself to face Maggie who was armed before he walked forward.
"What's in your head little boy?" he asked Maggie. Keeping her sword up, Maggie replied: "I am here for the Commodore." Hearing the little Lost boy's answer, the Captain laughed as did the pirates around the two before he spoke. "Oh, I'm afraid that the Commodore is tied to a tree for his own good."
It was then one of the pirates twitched from being stabbed in the back by someone behind him.
Suddenly a voice spoke out to the Captain.
"Or perhaps he managed to escape his chains of bondage during the raid."
Hearing the voice of a boy at a distance near him, Captain Sephiran reached for one of his pistols when Andrew shouted in warning. "Go on, reach for that pistol Captain and risk my father's rifle shot to your head!"
Realizing that the boy had unleashed the Commodore from his chains, Captain Sephiran knew that the boy might either be bluffing or telling the truth.
Deciding to not take any chances, Captain Sephiran withdrew his hand from the pistol whilst Maggie kept her sword on him.
Looking around at most of his pirates who stood back to see Andrew holding one of his father's pistols on Sephiran in one hand and his own sword in the other hand as he stepped forward. All the other pirates stood with their weapons on the boy as he walked forward.
The pirates watched the boy turn his head to face the pirates and back to keep the Captain in his sight whilst he made his way up to Maggie's side.
Only Captain Sephiran who glared at the boy was the one to speak. "So the son of Charles Corven has come to show his face."
"I wish I could say it's an honour to meet you in person, Edward Sephiran." Andrew answered.
"Do you have a name son of Corven?" Sephrian asked. "The name is Andre, so please tell your pirates to lower their weapons. Tell them!" Andrew ordered.
Sephiran breathed an annoyed sigh before he reluctantly spoke. "Do as the boy says!"
On his order, the pirates sheathed their weapons as Sephiran continued to glare at Andrew whilst he lowered his sword point down.
When his eyes looked over to Maggie who removed her hood to show her face to him. Upon seeing that the boy was really a girl, Sephiran gave a cackling laugh as he spoke.
"A girl standing at your side Andre? Boy, you must have gone soft." Sephiran mocked Maggie who was gripping her sword tightly.
Looking at the girl, Sephiran suddenly stopped cackling and frowned when he spoke. "Why does she look familiar to me?"
"Maybe you have met one of her relatives when you were gathering soldiers to rebel against your former Captain. James Hook." Andrew answered.
Sephiran turned his eyes to look at her. His eyes looked at her hair hanging close to her shoulders and her eyes before he turned his face to her.
With a wicked idea in mind, he spoke out to her with a crooked smile. "Little girl, if you hear me then maybe you can answer me this. Do you have a mother that you love so dearly? And does the woman bear the name Moira?" he asked aloud to raise her attention so he can provoke her into doing something stupid.
Maggie's eyes widened in alarm at the mention of her mother's name.
Raising her head up as she kept her sword on him, Maggie took a step forward towards the Pirate's Captain.
Andrew turned his head to see her walk forward. "Maggie stay where you are," he said but Maggie wouldn't listen to him. Instead, she kept her focus on Sephiran.
Captain Sephiran's eyebrows rose up at the sound of her name as he spoke to Maggie.
"Oh so your name is Maggie huh, is it? Or is it Margaret Darling, another one of Wendy Darling's Grandchildren?"
Seeing no point in remaining silent, Maggie spoke to Sephiran introducing herself as she kept the sword on him. "My name is Maggie Pan, my father was Peter Pan of the Lost boys' rebellion." It was then that the pirates soon looked at one another in surprise as the name of the famous Lost boy was said aloud in the camp.
"Ah, then that makes a lot of sense now, you do bear the same resemblance to that scurvy little brat. So, Miss Pan, I must confess it's nice to make your acquaintance." Sephiran stated with his teeth clenched, quickly raising his sword up before deflecting Maggie's sword from him and throwing a high strike toward Maggie.
Seeing the attack coming, Maggie immediately blocked the high blow.
When Sephiran's side blow came next, she blocked it with her right side guard.
The two opponents withdrew keeping their sword tips on each other, Sephiran spoke out to his now armed crew. "Gentlemen, stay where you are. This is a duel between me and Peter's little spawn: Maggie Pan of Neverland, I shall succeed where the Captain, James Hook failed and make him proud." Sephiran announced to his crew.
Soon after that Maggie and Captain Sephiran engaged in a duel, their swords clanged together high and low as they fought.
Maggie swung a few strikes at Sephiran who blocked her sword blows.
During the exchange Sephiran swung two strikes and two thrusts of his sword in retaliation; in response to the Pirate's offence attacks, Maggie blocked Sephiran's strike attacks and deflected the first two thrusts when she deflected the third thrust attack. Once the sword was away, she swung out, landing a clean slash upon the inner part of his sword arm with her sword tip.
Stepping back from the pirate, Maggie raised her sword to her side.
Sephiran grunted at the pain of his small wound, looking up from the wound he glared at her.
"My. You have gained a good sword hand for your youth, I would almost wish to have had a daughter like you."
"If I was your daughter I'd be ashamed of myself, you murdered innocent families. Your own mother would have hated you." Maggie stated with venom on Captain Sephiran who was tearing his sleeve off to bandage the slash wound on his sword arm.
"Well, you should know my mother was a heartless woman, abandoning me as a child at an orphanage. I was your age young lady when I learned that her boat sank in the ocean, the pirate lady who took me in told me this. At least she raised me and became the mother my own should have been. She'd be proud of my achievements."
Sephiran stated as he finished bandaging his sword hand.
As soon as he was ready he held his sword arm up, recovering to fight Maggie again.
The two engaged in another duel together, fighting back and forth until the two locked swords together.
Maggie looked into his eyes as she spat out her hatred. "It wouldn't matter how proud your pirate mother would be, you sold your soul to the devil as she did years ago, you are the worst and ugliest pirate in Neverland like that codfish Hook."
"Why I ought to take you and beat you down..." Sephiran spoke as he pushed his sword on Maggie's sword when she raised her knee up, kicking him in between the legs. With the Captain gaping in pain from the knee kick on his crutch, Maggie moved his sword over to the side until her blade was on top.
She then brought it straight towards Sephiran's face.
In a swift upper swing, Maggie swung the tip of her father's sword up in a slashing move.
Maggie's slashing strike drew a cut across his face which sliced into his naked eye.
Feeling the stinging pain of his left eye being cut, Captain Sephiran yelled out in pain as he dropped his sword to cover his bleeding socket with his hands.
Maggie backed away as some of the pirates came to him, when Andrew tugged on her arm she turned her head to Andrew and he spoke. "Maggie we have to leave now whilst the pirates are distracted." Maggie nodded looking back at the pirates who then drew their swords.
One of them approached when Maggie changed her sword hands, thrusting her sword into the oncoming pirate with her left hand whilst Andrew fought and cut down another pirate before they ran off from the crowd of pirates. "Get that girl, Now!" Captain Sephiran shouted barking his orders to his crew.
Soon the rest of the crew went after the two who ran side by side across the camp, fighting off one pirate after another before Charles appeared with his sword belt and his pistols in his hands.
He shot the first two pirates with his left-hand pistol.
After sheathing his left pistol, Charles shot the next one on his left flank.
As soon as he shot the fourth Pirate down, Charles turned away to run with the children into the jungle. Whilst all this was happening, the lost boy Tootles had managed to make his way around the camp to get to a barrel filled with oil next to the gunpowder.
He suddenly had an idea. Whilst the duel between Captain Sephiran and Maggie Pan went on, Tootles pierced a hole in the barrel and poured the oil onto the barrels.
With his good arm, Tootles dragged the pierced barrel across the back of the camp, drawing a long line so that he can give himself, the Commodore and the children the needed chance to escape the pirates. He tried so hard to drag the oil Barrel along when Charles appeared, coming to his aid.
When the long black line around the camp was drawn, Charles threw the Barrel near one of the cannons whilst Tootles made his way into the jungle.
But it was not before the pirate Barnaby fired a shot on Tootles' back.
Seeing it happen, Charles aimed his pistol and fired a single shot on Mr Barnaby.
When the pirate fell backwards Charles turned away grabbing a torch in his hand before he tossed it aside on the line of oil.
With the pirates in pursuit, Charles came to the elder Tootles and picked him up carrying him forward across the jungle as the line of fire was spreading along the line.
The line of fire had cut the pirates off from the escaping children and the Commodore before there was a large explosion that followed, destroying the boxes and crates of ammunition and a few cannons along with it.
The blast itself sent most of the pirates off their feet whilst some got cut down by shrapnel.
In the skies of Neverland.
Having gone up from the Pirates Camp, Moira flew about in the skies whilst she looked around for her daughter.
As she flew up to see the island of Neverland, she could see the Mermaid Lagoon and the Indian territory but not only that she could see a couple of ships at sea.
From the air, she also saw a battalion of at least four hundred soldiers who were making their way across from the northern Outpost.
Realizing that the reinforcements and the deserters were on their way to the fortress, Moira felt a small sense of hope and a few happy thoughts in her mind as she flew.
But she suddenly saw the assassin inside the Fortress.
Moreover, there was a battle in the Pirates' camp. As she flew closely, her eyes caught the sight of what looked to be two children and two adults heading into the far off jungle so she had to fly ahead to the end of the Jungle to meet with them when the fairy Tinker Bell flew by her side, so she spoke. "Tinker Bell can you help me find a place to land?" Tinker Bell nodded replying.
"Follow me, Moira, I know a place where you can meet with the others."
With that Tinker Bell flew over the jungle trees, leading Moira to an area where there was a tree that looked like Hangman's tree, the Lost Boys' original Hideout.
The fairy and the woman were en route to the hideout when there was an explosion behind them, Moira turned her head to see a blast sky high as pieces of debris flew across the skies and fell down on the grounds. As she hovered, she hoped that her daughter wasn't near the explosion.
Tinker Bell came to her side before she spoke. "We better keep going, if I can get you to Hangman's tree then I can look for the others and lead them to you."
Looking at the fairy as she hovered with her wings flapping, Moira started to draw a small grin and she spoke. "I hope so Tinker Bell, I was just starting to believe in fairies."
"Come we need to go." Tinker Bell said with a smile before she and Moira flew all the way to Hangman's tree where they would wait for the others.
In the outskirts of the Jungle.
Having escaped the outcome of the explosion, Commodore Charles made his way to get as far away from the sight of the pirates as possible and to find the children.
Carrying a wounded Tootles under his arm Charles continued his walk through the bushes of the Jungle until they found Andrew and Maggie hiding behind one of the bushes.
Maggie stood up to see that Tootles was wounded. There was one wound to the back and one to the upper chest near his shoulder, so Maggie got Charles to sit him down so she could check what she could do for the wounds whilst Charles and Andrew stood to take the first watch.
But it wasn't too long as it was getting darker and darker.
Tootles' breathing was shallow and was so heavy as Maggie cut into Tootles' clothes to check the wounds on the back of his old body. But seeing the holes and the bullets couldn't be dug out without any tools, she soon found that the wound itself was fatal as the shot went close to the heart. Seeing his pale face she soon found that he was dying already, so looking up at his head, she spoke to him. "Tootles, I…"
"Its alright Maggie, I understand that I am not going to make it the next day. But at least I got to have one last adventure and I had my marbles with me on this last battle. Commodore Charles, would you please take me to that tree, I wish to lie back and rest myself for the time." Tootles spoke to Maggie.
He turned his head to look at Charles, he spoke his request to him looking at his face.
When Charles turned his head to Maggie, she nodded to Charles who then helped him stand up. Maggie went to help Charles with Tootles leading him to the tree they walked until they got close, they turned him about and then they sat him down. Once Tootles sat himself down he relaxed breathing heavily as he felt so tired from his battle.
"Oh my, that was one heck of an adventure," said Tootles.
"Yes it was a great adventure, you were really brave Uncle Tootles." said Maggie.
"I agree with her Tootles, you did a great help leading the cavalry of Indians into battle. You have earned my respect and you'll be remembered as a civilian hero of the Royal Navy." Charles said to Tootles who drew a small grin as he was soon feeling tired and cold.
"Thank you, Maggie, it's so nice," Tootles replied.
"Uncle Tootles, stay with us you can make it the next day." Maggie said to Tootles who looked at her. He said to her. "I don't think I'm going to make it to the next day."
"Tootles don't say that," Maggie ordered him, but Tootles' breathing became shallow as he spoke. "You just take care of your mom Maggie, and try to find your way home my dear." It was the last words Tootles managed to say before he took his last breath and then he passed away, holding Maggie's hand as he lay against the tree.
Charles watched with some despair as Maggie was filled with grief at the loss of the beloved lost boy, she moved forward and cried on his chest whilst he lay against the tree. When Andrew turned to see Tootles lying dead, he became filled with despair for the old man who died as a brave Lost Boy.
He came up to his father who turned to him, going down on his knees he took him into his arms and folded his son in his embrace.
As Andrew cried on his father's shoulder, Charles allowed him to as he breathed in sadness for the loss of Tootles for a moment.
Meanwhile back at the pirates' camp.
The pirates had managed to get the fires out after that explosion.
Captain Sephiran was sitting on a seat in front of his high tent with a glass of whiskey in his hand whilst one of the pirates was putting a bandage over his wounded eye after stitching it up. Drinking a sip of his whiskey from the glass Captain Sephiran looked upon the damages caused by the fire with his good eye.
He watched as his pirates were clearing the damage in front of him.
Edward Sephiran was in pain and anger at the fire line that Tootles started before getting away from the camp.
The whole fire itself destroyed the gunpowder along with a few of his cannons and the ammunition for the guns and rifles of his pirate army.
Although they still had some left that was brought over to the Fortress, it was only enough for at least forty rifles and guns and there were only sixty pirates left in the camp.
In the aftermath of the attack, the twenty other pirates of his crew had been killed during the attack by the Indians' cavalry as well as the two children Maggie and Andrew whilst the shrapnel had cut down at least ten of his own good men during the explosion.
Once the pirate had fixed up the eye patch, he stepped back whilst Captain Sephiran stood up from his seat, drinking up the rest of his whiskey he passed his empty glass over to the pirate.
He then walked forward across the camp wearing his eye patch which covered his wounded eye over his wound, his face wore a mad look at the destruction of his own camp despite the pain from losing his eye to the girl known as Maggie Pan who cut it out.
But Captain Sephiran knew that he would need to move ahead with his plans to take the fortress tomorrow. Looking around at each of the pirates who were busy salvaging the wreckage for weapons or ammunition that hasn't been destroyed, Captain Sephiran wondered if his second in command was still alive or not when Mr Schmitt appeared.
He came up to Captain Sephiran before he spoke.
"Captain, we've salvaged as much of our provisions together from the wreckage, we'll be able to move in the morning."
"Good Mr Schmitt, have you seen Mr Starkey anywhere?" asked Captain Sephiran.
"No sir. we've assumed that he died in the explosion, we are still searching for the other bodies around the whole camp sir." Mr Schmitt said looking around the area.
But the Captain grabbed him by the neck, squeezing it with his own hand as he spoke to him.
"Alright Schmitt, it seems I'm now in need of a new Second in Command.
I never had much faith in that man especially when he would desert our camp for such a foolish reason. Mr Schmitt if he is not found the day after tomorrow, then I will have you and the next shipmate beside you swimming with the sharks for what happened here. Is that understood?"
"Yes sir." Mr Schmitt answered looking at his good eye before Captain Sephiran released him from his strangling.
With that Mr Schmitt went off to walk about and find if Mr. Starkey was dead or not.
Captain Sephiran stood on his spot for a moment.
He was standing still when he heard the hooves of a rider on horseback.
The rider appeared outside the tent, coming from the open gate of the Fortress.
As the rider rode into the opening, the rider looked around to see the damage of the whole camp.
Having seen the explosion from the front gate, Sergeant Horace realized that something happened inside the Pirates' camp and that their captain might need his help so he left his post.
Once he had arrived at the camp, Sergeant Horace looked around for the captain.
Seeing most of the pirates clearing the damage to the camp, they paid no attention to the mounted Sergeant who kept on looking for the Captain until he found him nearby. Dismounting from his horse, Sergeant Horace approached the Captain who turned to see him come forward.
"Sergeant Horace, you dare to come out here, leaving the fortress open?" asked Captain.
"My apologies Captain Sephiran, I saw the explosion happen from the gate. I wanted to see if you had survived the outcome of the explosion sir." Sergeant Horace replied.
"Well as you can see, I wasn't anywhere near that explosion and in a manner of speaking, I'm still alive. There's something else that you must know." said Captain Sephiran.
"What is it Captain?" asked Horace.
"There was this woman who claimed to have known you." Captain Sephiran said to the Sergeant who became intrigued by the Captain's words so he asked.
"What woman do you speak of?"
Captain Sephiran squinting his eye at the question.
"I speak of a woman named Moira Banning, does that mean anything to you?"
Upon hearing that name, Sergeant Horace's eyes widened.
"Yes it does, I have learned that the woman Moira Banning was with a girl named Maggie who claimed to be her daughter, why does it matter?"
Upon hearing the question, Captain Sephiran explained his conclusion
"It matters to me because Moira's little girl has marked my wrath." Sephiran paused before he spoke.
"By taking my left eye out, she left me with one eye on my face. It's why I wear this eye patch that you see on my face. So it has come to my mind, having worked out the relationship between Moira Banning and the girl known as Maggie pan. As I took a wild guess, I realized that the woman is actually the wife of Peter Pan himself. So if you should come across this woman known as Moira Banning, I want you to kill her. Can you do this for me?"
"If I do see this woman Moira, I promise you I would kill her and if I could capture her daughter Maggie I will bring her to you personally. Broken but not dead if it's any better to you sir, so you can take pleasure of dealing with this Maggie Pan yourself" Sergeant Horace answered.
"That looks to be the right suggestion I want to hear. If you do capture the girl and bring her to me broken but not dead along with Moira's body, I shall make you my new second in command. There is another thing I must order you to do. So listen to me carefully Sergeant, the outcome of this battle is nearing and the Royal Navy's army is nearing us. I want to take the open fortress in the morning." Captain Sephiran stated.
"Sir, that would be too early. the plan was that you were going to take it the day after…." Sergeant Horace spoke objectively.
But Captain Sephiran came up to his face, speaking harshly as he pressed his plan on the Sergeant.
"The wait is over now Sergeant Rayan, we can't wait any longer. And I don't care much if you have at least a dozen sailors inside the fortress that you will need to kill, you cockroach. Unless you want my pirates to tie you to a tree so I can bash your head in with my bare fists, I want you to open those doors for us in the morning. So do this and do it soon!" He shouted the last part to the Sergeant who stood firm as he took in his order.
Trying to look stern, Sergeant Horace looked terrified on the inside of Sephiran's fury.
So he gave a nod and then responded to him.
"The gates will be open in the morning Captain, at your request."
"Good now get on your horse and head back to the fort you idiot!" Captain Sephiran shouted to the Sergeant who then turned away to head to his horse. Mounting up on the saddle, Sergeant Rayan Horace turned his horse before heading back to the fort.
Back at the middle of the Forest.
The evening became a sad moment for Commodore Charles, Maggie and Andrew, but it wasn't long before the fairy Tinker Bell found the three who were in a time of mourning when she saw that Charles and Maggie were digging a wide enough grave for the Late Tootles.
She couldn't help but feel so sad and gloom at the sight of Tootles who gave his life to save the others but when she looked down at Maggie, she found that she was silent and gloomy, so she flew down in front of her and she spoke.
"Hey Maggie, I'm sorry for the loss of Tootles. Did he die well?"
"Yes he did and we got the man who shot him, so we're just having a proper burial for his honour." Maggie replied trying to pull a straight face as she wiped the tears from her face. Seeing her struggle to stay strong, Tinker Bell looked at her and she decided to offer her some good news to cheer her up.
"I've got some good news I want to share with you Maggie, it's your mom."
"What about her, is she safe?" Maggie asked when she heard Tinker Bell mention her mom.
Tinker Bell drew a grin before she replied.
"She's still alive and she's waiting for you at Hangman's Tree, it is just up ahead if you want to come with me to see her now."
"I would if I could but I can't leave the Commodore and Andrew here to bury Tootles, he was like a great uncle to me and it's disrespectful to just bury him and leave without a small prayer for the once-beloved lost boy. I'm hoping you'd understand." said Maggie.
Tinker Bell looked at her before she spoke. "Aww, I do understand so I will stay with you and the two others for the funeral of our beloved Tootles until you're all ready to leave this place." Maggie drew a grin at her when she noticed that Charles and Andrew stopped digging the grave to listen to Maggie talking with Tinker Bell.
"Is it true, that Moira is safe?" asked Charles.
Tinker Bell turned her head to the Commodore and she flew over to him.
"She's safe and waiting for us at Hangman's Tree." she said to Charles.
"Good then as soon as we can dig up this hole and lay Tootles here to rest, then you can show us the way to Hangman's tree Miss Bell." Charles replied to Tinker Bell who nodded. Before he and Andrew were about to continue with Maggie going to help the two boys, they heard someone coming.
Maggie turned her head to see an unexpected visitor. Suddenly a pirate appeared coming out from the bushes.
"You know you should make sure to cover your tracks." said the pirate. "Commodore!" Maggie shouted grabbing for her sword.
Charles looked up to see the pirate standing at a close distance from them.
He drew out his pistol to aim his shot at the Pirate when the pirate spoke out raising his hands in surrendering.
"Wait, Commodore, there's no need to draw your gun on me, sir. I just want to invoke the right of parlay with you and the girl just for this night."
Keeping his pistol on the pirate, Charles breathed a reluctant sigh. "What do they call you pirate?" he asked the Pirate, keeping his pistol still aiming at the chest.
"My name is Gentleman Theodore Starkey, but my shipmates call me Gentleman Starkey and I was acquainted with the girl's mother Moira Banning." The pirate answered. Hearing that the pirate's acquaintance, Maggie started to lower her sword when she spoke.
"And what brings you to this place Mr Starkey, don't you know that you are trespassing on a beloved friend's funeral?"
Hearing that this was a funeral for a friend of theirs, Gentleman Starkey lowered his head. "I'm sorry that the old man got shot, but I did not become a pirate to shoot down old men. Having seen the wickedness of Captain Sephiran that's worse than Hook himself I wish to offer my surrender." Starkey spoke offering it to Maggie and Commodore Charles who looked at him suspiciously.
"And why on earth should I believe your words?" he asked.
Gentleman Starkey looked at the Commodore before he explained his answer. "Because Miss Banning had the honour of entertaining me with her song, which had reminded me of Lieutenant William Austen's sister Emmaline. A woman whom I wanted to talk to for so long."
"So you're just renouncing your oath to piracy for a woman?" asked Andrew.
"Truth be told I was growing tired of being in the Pirate's business since I didn't earn much gold from it, but most of all Emmaline was the woman who won my heart. I know it's hard to believe as we have a dark history between us, I have done countless things as a pirate. so I wish to offer my service to you in redeeming myself." Starkey answered looking at Andrew.
As he kept his pistol on the pirate Starkey who was admitting that he had a change of heart, Charles thought on it for a short moment before he spoke to Starkey.
"If you're lying or if you decide to turn against us for your own gain, then I will shoot you dead myself. Do you understand? Don't think that you've won me over with your little speech. Because you must remember, I'm a warrior of the British Navy. You have no idea, what I could do to you."
Seeing as the Commodore was being serious, Starkey nodded his understanding to him.
"You have my permission to shoot me if it comes to that Commodore." he said.
The Commodore then replaced his pistol into his holster pocket.
He took the shovel from his son before climbing up the edge of the grave.
Once he climbed out the commodore stood up and walked towards Starkey with the shovel in his right hand. "Start digging Starkey." Commodore ordered, pushing the shovel into his hands before Andrew climbed out of the wide Grave before the commodore went back in with Starkey following him to the grave.
After at least ten minutes of digging up the grave, the commodore and the traitor pirate then brought Tootles' body from the tree and placed him slowly inside the grave hole. Once the two climbed out of the Tootles' grave, Maggie dropped a few flowers upon Tootles' grave as she stood with Andrew and she said a final prayer.
"We gather here on this night to say goodbye to a beloved friend and a former Lost Boy Uncle Tootles, who was once a part of the Darling family and part of my family's life. This poem is for our beloved Tootles Darling. 'You can shed tears that he is gone Or you can smile because he has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see him or you can be full of the love that you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember him and only that he is gone Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on." After Maggie said her prayer, Andrew stepped forward and he spoke out his own prayer to finish the funeral. "Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Now I lay you down to sleep, I pray the Lord your soul to keep; May the angels watch you through the night, and keep thee Tootles the great Lost boy in their blessed sight. Amen."
"Amen." Maggie and Charles said separately. Even Tinker Bell said Amen before Commodore Charles and Starkey, Andrew and Maggie started filling the grave hole with dirt, burying Tootles' body after laying him to rest as the night was still young.
After Tootles' body was buried with a cross planted in as a headstone with Tootles' name carved into it, the four of them headed off with Tinker Bell leading them to Hangman's Tree.
Back at the fortress.
Whilst Commodore Charles and the two children were venturing off to Hangman's tree with Tinker Bell at the lead and the renegade Pirate Starkey at the end, the Navy Sergeant Horace was just returning to the Fortress.
But after he entered through the doorway, Sergeant Horace dismounted from his standing horse and then he closed the door leaving it to be opened for the morning.
As he made his way across the deserted streets inside the fortress, Sergeant Horace realized that there was something different even though it was empty. As soon as he was coming up to the harbour of the fortress, he looked to the pier to find that the ship's gangplank was missing and that the ship itself was adrift from the port as well.
At first, he thought it odd for the ship to be far from the pier.
It was strange as Sergeant Horace thought that there was no one on board until he realized that he had been tricked by some of the ship's crew who hid away to allow him to think the fortress and the ship were deserted, so he might think that Captain Sephiran won the battle.
Taking out a telescope from his pocket, he opened it to look at the ship through it.
When he looked upon the ship his eye found at least a few shipmates onboard including the officer, Sergeant Mac Philips and Mr Laughlin.
Seeing that he had been tricked, Sergeant Horace lowered his telescope down as he grew so mad that he threw the telescope to the side in rage at the fact that he now has no ship for his Captain.
"Damn those Navy sea dogs, they tricked me and took the ship off from the pier!." he shouted to himself.
On the ship that was at least a good distance from the harbour, the Navy Sergeant Mac Philips was looking directly at the angry face of the renegade Sergeant Rayan Horace as he stood on the pier.
He drew a crooked grin at his raging look as he spoke.
"Well, that's one ship that won't be taken by a band of Pirates, at least until the reinforcements can get here to retake the fortress." Mr Laughlin appeared at his side.
"I'd agree with you Sergeant, and thankfully we have at least enough cannonballs to hold out for a day or two. But all our hopes now lie with both Curly's forces and that of those Lost Boys sir." he said.
"Hmm, you know for some reason I was beginning to hope that the little girl known as Maggie Banning might have the courage to rally the Lost Boys to our cause." said Sergeant Philips.
"It sounds like you are caring for the girl who you fought on the ship earlier." Mr Laughlin said to Sergeant Philips, who chuckled at that remark.
"It's nothing you should know about. The only thing you need to do is help the crew hold the ship for the next day when the pirates come to the pier we shall give them our welcome wagon in honour of Lieutenant Warton, Remember that he risked his life to warn us of Horace's treachery earlier on." Sergeant Phillips spoke his statement, turning his head to look at Laughlin.
"Whatever you plan sir, the twelve members of this ship are with you as we shall honour Lieutenant Warton. But I do have some faith that the girl Maggie will come to our aid, and maybe hopefully save our fortress town." Laughlin said to Sergeant Philips, looking at his face before he headed off.
"I'm off to my post for the second watch. Good Night Sergeant," he said, walking out through the doorway.
"Goodnight Laughlin," Sergeant Philips replied before the Sailor left.
Leaving Sergeant Philips to stand alone as he turned his sight back to the view of the pier and the deserted fortress which will be filled with Pirates looking to get across the sea to board the ship and take it by force if necessary.
As Mr Laughlin walked across the corridor to the stairway up the top decks, he passed by a few of his other shipmates who chose to stay on board as they each prepared to get some rest for the night before the next day comes when the battle to the death begins at first light.
Meanwhile at Hangman's Tree. An hour later.
It had been almost a long time since the Fairy Tinker Bell brought her to the old hideout of the Lost boys. When she landed at the edge of the forest near hangman's tree, she walked towards the tree but she didn't know that there was a snare trap hidden.
The moment she stepped on the trap, she wound up getting hung upside down for a minute before Tinker Bell cut her down and flew off, venturing into the forest to find the Commodore and the two kids who were within the forests of Neverland trying to get to safety from the fierce fury of the pirates. After getting herself up from the ground she rubbed her sore back and looked around where she stood to check for any more traps, finding only a few but also a key trigger to an entrance door.
Now having discovered the entrance to Hangman's Tree, Moira had managed to clear away some stuff that was burned by Captain Hook when Peter Pan didn't come back to Neverland and choosing to stay in the normal world. Having fallen in love with Moira, Peter had found his happy thought in the form of her son.
As she looked around the hideout, Moira couldn't help but think about what her grandmother was like when she used to spend her few days in Neverland before she chose to return home to London and grow up. But she never changed her spirit and she always believed in Peter Pan.
Once she was able to get light into the Hideout, she got the beds fixed up so that Maggie and Andrew have places to sleep for the night and she can sleep inside whilst Charles would choose to sleep elsewhere he would like either inside or outside.
By the time she got the place ready she started to feel tired all of a sudden.
Having escaped the wrath of Captain Sephiran and his Pirates horde earlier on, she realized that she didn't have any time to rest herself.
As she sat against a spot where her great uncle Michael used to sleep, she lay down on the side.
Moira was about to let herself drift into sleep when she heard a noise outside the grounds of the Hangman's tree hideout.
Climbing through the open hatchway, Moira stood herself up and she listened for any sign of them coming. The minute alone had changed into at least a few minutes before she heard the sound of her daughter's voice coming at a distance, so she called out to her.
"Maggie, Maggie! Moira shouted to the forest and waited for an answer.
Moira remained silent as she listened for any sound when she heard the sound of her daughter.
"Mom!" Maggie shouted aloud. Hearing the sound of her daughter's voice made Moira draw a smile of relief and hope as she watched the forest for her daughter to come. After a short while, Moira saw a ruffle in the bushes before she saw her daughter appear with the Little Fairy.
Coming out into view from the distant bushes with Tinker Bell flying in the air, Maggie looked about to see her Mother standing outside Hangman's tree with a hopeful grin. Upon seeing her mother, Maggie became so glad that she ran out towards her.
"Mommy!" She shouted as she ran out towards her mother. Moira knelt down on one knee before her daughter came to her and she wrapped her arms around her daughter as if it's been so long a time since they'd seen each other.
"Maggie, it's so good to see you here. I'm glad that you're safe." she said to Maggie.
"Oh mom, you have no idea how much I missed you. But you're not going to believe what I've been doing in your absence." Maggie replied as they stayed in their embrace.
They were just about to withdraw from their embrace to talk when Andrew came out of the bushes as well to see Maggie folded in the embrace of her mother when she opened her eyes to see him.
Withdrawing from her daughter, Moira looked at the boy.
Maggie looked at her mother before turning her head to look at Andrew.
She drew a small grin at Andrew when Moira spoke. "Maggie, who is this boy?"
Maggie realized that she's still to introduce her mother to Andrew, so she spoke.
"Mom this is Andre, Charles Corven's son." she said before she parted from her to walk up to Andrew. Approaching him Maggie reached out and took his hand in hers.
"Andre, I want you to meet my mother Moira Banning."
She led him towards Moira who stood herself up and approached the boy standing next to her daughter. Andrew was the one to speak.
"Hello Mistress, it's an honour to meet you officially." Andrew offered his hand for Moira to shake.
Moira was a little hesitant at first but when she looked at her daughter, she saw Maggie give her mother a look as she was saying please be nice to him.
So Moira took his hand and shook it as she replied to the boy. "It's an honour to meet you as well Andrew Corven, I first thought that Charles didn't have a son but now that I see you I can almost see the resemblance between you and him."
"Thank you, Mistress, and I want to apologize for the fact that you were brought here against your will earlier on this week." Andrew said to Moira, withdrawing his hand from her.
"I appreciate your apology, Andre, I believed that it was a misunderstanding." Moira said with a small grin.
"There's also another thing I should tell you." Andrew responded with a sad look.
Seeing the despair on his face, Moira became concerned as she went down on one knee.
It was when Charles and the Pirate Starkey appeared coming out from the bushes, Moira and the kids turned to see the two come forward. Moira stepped up front to hide Andrew and Maggie behind her before she drew out a dagger. But when she noticed that Starkey's hands were bound together, Moira lowered the knife down
Charles saw Moira with the weapons and he spoke.
"There's no need for the dagger Mrs Banning, this pirate comes here unarmed having turned them over to my son and offered his surrender."
"Surrender, is that True Mr Starkey?" Moira asked the pirate who gave a nod before he spoke.
"I did Mistress, and I even offered them my help to show that I mean to redeem myself. I'm aware of how much you dislike the fact that I'm a pirate but I can assure you that I'm here to help."
Moira looked at him thinking to herself about Starkey's offer when she remembered how he spoke to her about a woman that he loved for a long time. Moira then spoke. "Is Emmaline really worth your surrender and renouncing Piracy?"
"If I had met her a long time ago, I would have renounced my position as a pirate in a heartbeat. But I know that she didn't want to run away with a pirate who was poor, it was why I worked for Sephiran. It was so that I can earn enough gold to be worthy of her hand in marriage." Starkey explained to Moira and the others. Charles then spoke.
"Unfortunately you have to be held accountable as a witness to the death of Tootles."
"What?!" Moira gasped, looking at Charles who lowered his head down in sorrow.
"Tootles led a group of mounted Indians in attacking the camp but he got shot down by one of the pirates whilst trying to escape from the camp. We had to bury his body after he passed on." Charles explained to Moira who lowered her head in despair that her beloved uncle Tootles was gone.
"He was an old man but he died a brave one Mistress. The man who shot him is dead but there was another shooter and I believe he came from the Fort." Starkey spoke. Charles and Moira looked at Starkey's face, they thought he was lying at first but seeing as he was sober from the look of his eyes and the sound of his voice the two started to believe him.
Moira approached the Pirate, sheathing her knife before she stopped on the spot and spoke.
"I wouldn't believe you at first but as you and I had conversed whilst we put on a show for the crew, I began to see a different side that was not like the other pirates. No matter how much we would wish it, we cannot change our past."
Moira paused for a moment before she approached Starkey further.
Looking down at his bound, she spoke again. "But hopefully the next day we will work for a better future."
With that Moira reached out to Starkey's bound hands before she took his hand.
Once the two shook hands, Moira led Charles and Starkey to the hideout.
After settling into the hideout for the night, Charles sat Starkey in the corner whilst he sat at the other corner in case he attempted to do something to harm him or Moira.
As Maggie sat with her mother, she told her all about her time with the lost boys whilst Andrew sat close by, finding Peter's teddy bear on the floor.
He held it close to him so he might give it to Maggie.
Once they settled down into their own space in the hideout, Moira and Maggie talked together.
Charles listened to their conversation about what Moira learned about the pirates as well as her time as an entertainer for the Pirates' crew who enjoyed her singing.
Maggie found it unbelievable that her own mother got herself drunk with the crew of pirates, thinking how she'll never let her live it down getting drunk and wearing her ridiculous pirate outfit but she understood that what she did was for a good cause that Moira will probably regret for all time.
When it was Maggie's turn to speak she spoke of how she met Andrew followed by the training she did as well as the sword fighting that she learned from Andrew who taught her along the way to the Lost Boys' hideout and then meeting the lost Boys who were rude at first but they became nice with her as they spent time with her.
Maggie told Moira her story about the past two days of her journey.
She went into detail about the games she played with the lost boys, Moira became amused at the burping contest she introduced. Moira and Charles began to laugh together when Maggie mentioned her burping the alphabet and the mud incident in which she got involved as well as the snares from some of the lost boys.
But most of all Moira became a little impressed that Maggie managed to persuade them into helping Charles' Royal Navy.
Although she suspected that there was more to the whole story that her daughter was telling her, Moira decided to let it be. Seeing that Maggie was feeling a little tired after the events of today, Moira breathed a sigh and allowed her to go and sleep. So Maggie stood up from her spot with her mother.
She went to sit next to Andrew, taking his hand in hers. Having one last look at Andrew, she laid her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes to sleep as did Andrew.
Moira's motherly intuition began to suspect that her daughter liked the boy Andrew, as she wondered why Maggie preferred to sleep next to the boy.
even Charles noticed that his son was comfortable with her which made him suspicious as well.
Checking to see that Starkey had fallen asleep, Charles moved himself over to Moira's side, seeing his son and Maggie together he thought it out about why he was so fond of her when he came to a realization that he had to share with Moira Banning.
"Moira, did you notice something different about your daughter?" he asked.
Looking up at Charles, Moira looked back down at her daughter and she spoke.
"Yes, I had a mother's intuition as to why she would sit beside your son like that or at least prefer to be with him. Why would you ask me, Commodore?"
Charles suddenly gave a chuckle, looking at them before he turned to Moira.
"I think we have a problem Moira; I'm starting to see that my son has fallen in love with your daughter." Charles whispered to Moira.
On hearing this, she became surprised to learn that the boy who was sitting next to her daughter Maggie had fallen under her spell. But what brought up some mixed feelings in Moira was that she realized that her daughter might have had her first kiss with the boy Andrew. Moira looked at the sleeping boy Andrew with a small glare at him for putting the moves on her daughter but she felt a little happy that her daughter was growing up.
Charles turned his head to look at her. "You know my father's intuition would sense that they might have done nothing further than just kissing, he learned to be a gentleman from me and through the times he spent with his stepmother Caitlin. Even she grew a mother's intuition of her own, she learned to love him as her own."
Moira drew a small grin as she spoke her feelings to Charles.
"She must be very proud of Andrew, but it's not just him Charles. It is my little girl, I have these feelings of nervousness about her changing and yet I feel happy that she's growing up. Most of all I almost find it adorable that the two are sleeping peacefully next to each other."
"Hmm, still it will be a matter of time before you and Maggie would have to return to your world. I think my son would be heartbroken as your daughter would be when they leave each other." Charles said speaking his thoughts to Moira.
"Well, it wouldn't happen tomorrow that's for sure. so I think it best that we leave the subject as it is and, get some rest." Moira replied deciding to close the subject.
Charles nodded at that whilst Moira laid herself down to sleep for the night.
He then went back to his spot to get some rest himself with the gun at his side.
That's Chapter Eight done, but the scene will be continued onto chapter nine where Moira will have a dream which will encourage her to go to the Lost Boys' Hideout with Tinker Bell to rally the Lost Boys together for one final battle with the pirates the next day.
So Stay tuned for another surprise in the next exciting chapter.
