Another one-shot, but the last one for a while. After this, Hunter's Next Life and Yuma's Daughter. Knight's Next Path, Dragon Ball Classroom, seemed like good ideas, but very few to no one cares about them. Hopefully this one would do good. Well, this one is because there aren't enough Sakura centric fics. I really wanted to see more of Sakura in Assassination Classroom anime and manga. So I thought I'd write something with her and Nagisa.

Another reason why I wanted to write this, I've recently watched anime like Himouto Umaru-Chan, Poco's Udon World, you know. Slice of life anime. Yuma's Daughter was meant to be something like that, but it's currently in an action arc, so I'm a little disappointed with it, though I do like how it goes. This one is going to be focused on slice of life. Basically what Yuma's Daughter should've been. Halloween for a Snake's Flower did decently well, so why not? Make sure to vote on my profile after checking out the uncompleted one-shots.

Disclaimer: I don't own Assassination Classroom. Assassination Classroom is owned by Yusei Matsui and Shueisha. BTW, I just realized I've been spelling Shueisha wrong this entire time. Gosh dangit.

"Hey, Sakura!" Sakura looked behind her as some of her classmates walked up to her.

"What's up? Want another study session?" she guessed. Her classmates nodded with relieved smiles.

"Yeah, we need help to study for the upcoming test."

"That's fine. Whose house are we going to? Kudo's?" Sakura guessed as she pointed to the girl in the middle. She laughed awkwardly.'

"Sorry Sakura. My parents are in a phase right now, and it's really embarrassing." she apologized with her hands together.

"Okay then, Sho's?" Sakura guessed as she pointed to the boy next to her. He shook his head.

"Mother is sick. Not healthy to be there."

"Why not your house?" one of the kids asked. Sakura froze.

"Come to think of it, we never went to your house, right? Why don't we come over?"

"No." Sakura said immediately. Her classmates were taken aback.

"Come on, why not?" one of the group whined. Sho put a hand on their shoulder, shaking his head.

"We refused. Sakura is allowed to." he said. Sakura winced.

"Sorry. I'm not exactly proud of my mom." she said.

"That's fine. Moms, amiright?" Kudo said as she waved a hand.

"Yeah, they're great, and I love them, but they can be a bit much at times." one of the others said. They laughed with each other, talking about how mothers seemed to be overbearing, always teasing, or completely embarrassing. Sakura laughed with her classmates, but frowned to herself when they weren't looking.

'Heh. I wouldn't mind a mother like that.' she thought as she and her classmates waved goodbye, agreeing to simply meet at a library.

"Mom? I'm, I'm home." Sakura said as she walked in. She sighed as the smell of marijuana, weed, and heroin reached her nose and the sight of alcohol bottles and cans thrown all around the place. She spotted her mother's red hair, sleeping nearly naked on the chest of a man in a similar dress. Who wasn't her father. She didn't recognize him, her mother slept with too many to keep count. There were many other women and men in the house, all in indecent conditions. Sakura sighed again as she quietly walked through the mess and made her way upstairs to her room. She opened the door, only to sigh again at the sight of a few women and more men inside.

'Mom went overboard again.' She thought dryly as she tiptoed over to her desk, putting her bag on top. She froze as one of the adults shifted with a sigh, closing her eyes to try to erase her presence like her tutor seemed to always do. The person moaned slightly before settling down. Sakura hurried to get out of the room.

"Honey? Oh, hello! I wasn't expecting you to be home!" her mother's voice came from below. Sakura winced as she quickly went back downstairs. Her father was standing in the doorway of the house. The man her mother was sleeping on was quickly pulling his pants on, the rest of the partiers waking up as well, many still drowsy.

"What the f*ck?! You didn't tell me you were married!" he hissed.

'Oh. He's new.' Sakura thought dryly. That explained it.

"Don't worry… we're in an open relationship." her mother said, still sleepy and uncaring.

"We aren't, but… well, she's been doing this forever, and she won't change." her father said as he walked over to Sakura. A few of the partiers winced at the sight of her, but some of the others looked at her with greedy looks in their eyes. She shivered. Her father saw this and immediately hugged Sakura to him, glaring at the pedos. Her mother cared about her enough to make sure she wasn't 'deflowered' by these people, but she didn't stop them from, 'touching' her. Her father led Sakura out of the house, where the two began walking down the street.

"They didn't do anything, did they?"

"No, I stayed over at the daycare again." her father sighed heavily. Sakura rubbed her hands over each other awkwardly. She knew her father cared about her, but he was hardly even home, so she couldn't really accept him as her father.

"So, how's school?"

"Good. I took an advanced AP test. Did pretty good." Sakura said.

"Really? What did you get?"

"98."

"Good. That's my girl." her father said as he gave her a pat on the head. Sakura smiled, but the two fell into silence again. Her father sighed.

"Sakura, this, this needs to change. Your mother is the farthest thing from a good mother, and I'm not better. We're in mass debt, your mother keeps increasing it, I'm never here to take care of you. You need, and deserve, a better life." her father suddenly said. Sakura looked up at him in surprise. "I would take you along with me, but non-stop travelling isn't a good way for a child to grow up, and you're only ten."

"So what, you want me to move out?" Sakura guessed. She blinked when her father didn't answer.

"Dad, I'm ten. I can't live by myself!"

"I know, but you can't stay with your mother any more, if what I've seen of what happened back at the house." her father replied. Sakura bit her lip and looked down. She wasn't sure if she would be comfortable living with someone else. Yes, she hated living at her home and with her mother. The earliest thing she can remember was the sound of party music, the smell of alcohol being breathed on her face, and the sight of her mother making out with another man as she held her. But she couldn't just move out to live with some random ass person.

"Sakura? Is that you?" a voice said. Sakura and her father turned, and Sakura burst out in a wide smile as she ran over to the teen standing behind them and hugged him around his waist, putting her head against his chest. Nagisa smiled as he hugged her back. Kayano smiled at the two.

"Who's this Sakura?" her father asked cautiously. Nagisa looked up and held his hand out for a handshake.

"I'm Nagisa Shiota. I'm her tutor." he introduced himself. Her father nodded as he shook his hand.

"I see. I'm her father."

"It's nice to meet you Mr Kiyashiki." Nagisa said politely. Her father nodded back, and paused. He looked at Sakura, then back at Nagisa. Then back to Sakura.

"What?" she frowned. Her father looked back at Nagisa.

"I would like to ask you to become Sakura's guardian." he said. Nagisa and Sakura blinked.

"Excuse me?"

"So let me get this straight. You and Sakura's mother got married eleven years ago."

Yes."

"You got her pregnant, resulting in her being disowned by her way too traditional parents, and married her to make it up to her."

"Yes."

"Your wife has been a party animal for the past fifteen years, to the point where the only reason why you even know Sakura is your daughter is because you took a DNA test."

"Yes."

"You feel responsible for being careless and getting her pregnant, and thus are doing everything you can to pay off the debt she racked up from her non-stop partying and 'playing'."

"Yes."

"You, after she's already ten years old, realized that Sakura wasn't in a good growing environment."

"...Yes."

"So your solution is to dump her on someone else, give them a paycheck every month, visit her twice a year, instead of divorcing an unfaithful, ungrateful, irresponsible, parasitic hooker of a wife and taking care of Sakura yourself, giving her the love a family she really needs."

"...Well, when you put it like that, you make it sound like a bad idea." Nagisa slammed a knife into the table, burying it.

"It is a bad idea! You're throwing her away while keeping yourself in a toxic relationship! You two aren't even raising your kid! I'm raising your kid! Two hour weekly tutor sessions for the past two years and the occasional dinner as a reward for the past year, and I'm ten times better of an influence than either you or your wife has been for the last ten years! And I'm not even done with high school!" Nagisa yelled. Kiyashiki winced as the patrons in the restaurant looked over, only to quickly turn back to their friends as Nagisa directed his glare to them.

The two were inside a restaurant, where Kiyashiki had explained the situation at home. Sakura was sitting outside, eating ice cream with Kayano, who had sensed that Nagisa wasn't going to be happy with what happened next.

"Look. I'll take her in. But only because it's better than leaving her at that trash of a home, and I don't want to leave that decision to you, Mr. Make Terrible Decisions." Nagisa snapped. "And only if Sakura herself wants to live with me."

"That's fair. I do apologize." Kiyashiki said as he bowed his head.

"I don't think you're apologizing to the right person Mr Kiyashiki. Sakura is the victim here." Nagisa said coldly. Kiyashiki nodded before looking up at Nagisa.

"You care very much about Sakura, don't you." Nagisa sighed before taking a sip of his soda.

"I met her two years ago, when she was staying at the daycare. I knew Sakura was having family problems. I had them too, so I recognized the signs. So I reached out a hand to help, and she took it. I'm her teacher. I'll care for her, I'll protect her. Even if it costs me my life." Nagisa swore. Kiyashiki smiled wearily.

"I'm glad. I'm glad that my daughter has a good teacher to count on." Kiyashiki said.

"You still need to apologize to her."

"Yes yes, you're right." Kiyashiki admitted. Nagisa looked at the window, where Kayano was peering in. He motioned for them to come in. Kayano and Sakura got up and walked into the restaurant, coming up to the two and sitting down.

"Sakura, Shiota and I talked it over. Are you okay with staying with your teacher?" Kiyashiki asked. Sakura looked at him in surprise before looking over to Nagisa.

"Is that okay?" she asked eagerly. Nagisa smiled as he ruffled her pink hair with a nod.

"I take it that you want to stay with Shiota?" Kiyashiki said. Sakura looked at her father and nodded happily.

"I do."

"Good." Kiyashiki sighed. Nagisa gave him a sharp look. He nodded back. "Sakura, I, you deserve an apology. I shouldn't just be handing you over to another person to take care of, but this is the only way we can do this. I can't just leave your mom behind."

"I know. You're too nice dad." Sakura smiled. Kiyashiki smiled slightly back. Nagisa wasn't satisfied, but he accepted it for now.

"Look, I still have a few things to take care of with your mom, so I have to leave right now. Take care, okay Sakura?" Kiyashiki said as he gave Sakura a pat on the head. He nodded to the two teens.

"Thank you again Ms Shiota."

"No probleeee did you just say Ms?" Kiyashiki looked at him in confusion as Kayano and Sakura giggled.

"Yes? Why?"

"I'm a boy." Nagisa deadpanned.

"A, a boy? Oh… I, I see." the two fell silent, the two girls still giggling.

"...I'll be going now."

"Yes. You best." Kiyashiki quickly left the restaurant. Sakura and Kayano began laughing at Nagisa, who's eye twitched. He reached out towards the two girls.

"Ack! Shorry, shorry!"

"Pleash shtop pulling muh nose!"

"So, ready to move out?" Nagisa asked as he and Sakura stood in front of her house. Kayano had gone back home. Apparently she had gotten kicked out of her apartment due to missing four payments in a row. So the three would be living together. Sakura nodded after taking a breath. Nagisa nodded back and began walking towards the door, Sakura quickly reaching out to take his hand. They walked in, Nagisa blinking as the stench of drugs, alcohol, and bodies hit his nose. Nagisa looked and did a double-take, horrified at the activities going inside. He quickly reached down and covered Sakura's eyes.

"Nagisa, I've seen this before."

"That doesn't mean you should see it!" Nagisa scolded. He yelped slightly as someone grabbed his chest from behind.

"I'm a boy!" he snapped as he pushed the man back. The man made a grunt of annoyance before waddling away. Nagisa pushed Sakura along, the smaller girl leading him up the stairs. Sakura opened her bedroom door, sighing in relief that no one was in there anymore. Nagisa leaned against the door, giving partiers a glare whenever they came too close to the bedroom.

"It's rather early for your mom to throw a party, isn't it?"

"If anything, I'm surprised she wasn't having one when I came home. Mom has parties six days a week, then spends Saturdays finally resting from it all." Sakura said. She tried making it sound like no big deal, but Nagisa knew that she was clearly upset. Sakura immediately pulled out a bag and began putting clothes and books inside. She grabbed a few game consoles and put them in, before swinging her bag over her shoulder.

"Let's go." Sakura said. Her mother looked up from the man she was 'playing' with as she and Nagisa walked towards the front door and called out to her daughter. A few other partiers looked to Sakura with predatory gazes, but stopped and shook in fear of Nagisa's death stare.

"Are you going somewhere Sakura?"

"I'm leaving. I'm going to live with my tutor and his friend."

"Oh, that's nice. Have fun." her mother said before opening her mouth and lowering it again. Nagisa quickly pushed Sakura out of the house. He shook his head in disgust as he and Sakura walked out.

'That, that…' Nagisa growled. He looked down at Sakura, who was looking at her shoes. Nagisa put a hand on her shoulder. Sakura tensed up before turning to Nagisa and hugging him.

"She didn't even care." she mumbled in his shirt, breathing heavily. Nagisa hugged Sakura back.

"Sakura, I will never turn away from you. I promise." Nagisa said. Sakura said nothing, simply hugging Nagisa tighter. She pulled away after a few seconds, taking Nagisa's hand again as they walked in silence.

"Friends." Nagisa said after a bit. Sakura looked up at him.

"You said tutor and his friend." Nagisa explained. Sakura blinked.

"Karma, step away from the stove, you know you're not allowed to cook. Especially not for your pranks! Itona, get away from the pantry! I'll make you some food later! Nakamura, for goodness sake, put your pants on! No, shirts and panties are not enough!" Nagisa yelled and scolded. Karma stepped away from the stove with his hands up. Itona grumbled as he walked away from the pantry. Nakamura cackled at Nagisa's red face as she pulled on a pair of jeans. Sakura stared at the people inside, dumbfounded. She was thinking that there would be one or two friends, not four friends.

"Sorry Nagisa, I tried to tell them to behave themselves." Kayano said guiltily. Nagisa sighed in irritation as he rubbed his eyes. Karma was the first to notice Sakura.

"Well well! If it ain't Sakura." Karma said with a grin. Sakura started and hid slightly behind Nagisa. Sakura knew them, but she wasn't comfortable. Even when she was an ill-mannered eight year old, she always stuck with Nagisa, not socializing with the other members of his class. As such, she didn't really know them that well. The only exception was Kayano, who sometimes came with her and Nagisa when they went out for dinner.

"Hey! If it isn't the adorable little student of Nagisa. What are you doing here tiny?" Nakamura cooed as she walked over, bending down and giving Sakura a head rub. Sakura made a noise of annoyance at being called tiny and swiped at Nakamura's hand. The blonde pulled back with a laugh before looking at Nagisa for an answer.

"Her mom is crap, her dad is working, so she's staying here." Nagisa said. Nakamura frowned before looking down at Sakura. She scooped Sakura up, making her squeak in surprise.

"How can anyone be a crappy parent to this little baby." Nakamura cooed as she stroked Sakura's hair. Sakura made another noise, this time of slight fury as she batted at Nakamura, demanding to be put down. She hurried behind Nagisa and glared at Nakamura, who only laughed at her, finding her glare cute.

"Is she paying rent?" Itona asked.

"Her dad is. Speaking of which." Nagisa held up a hand. Groans sounded out as hands were shoved into pockets. Nakamura and Itona both handed over a wad of bills. Nagisa pocketed the money before looking at Karma. The redhead shrugged, making Nagisa frown.

"One of these days, you're paying the damn rent."

"Sure." Karma said sarcastically before walking over to the couch and plopping down into it. Nagisa threw a pen at his head, before leading Sakura to one of the rooms.

"So Sakura. Do you want to be in this room, or do you want to be in my room. Quick note though, the others are in my room too." Nagisa said. Sakura looked between the two. She looked into Nagisa's room. It was certainly cluttered, with a futon on the floor and hammocks hanging from the ceiling. She walked over to the other room, which was neatly organized. She was tempted to choose this room, but she didn't like the feeling she got from it. It felt lonely.

"Can I sleep in your room too?" Sakura asked. Nagisa smiled and nodded. He turned and put a hand to his mouth.

"Let's show her sleeping positions!" a shuffling of feet came around the corner with his friends. Nagisa and Sakura stood against the wall. Kayano laid down on the futon on the floor, Nakamura climbing into the hammock. Itona laid down on some folded futons in the surprisingly roomy closet. Karma pulled up a section of the floorboard and dropped in.

"Karma wanted the floorboards ever since discovering it." Nagisa explained to the bewildered Sakura. "Do you want a hammock or a futon to sleep in?"

"Take a hammock. A futon means less cushion for me." Itona's voice came from the closet.

'When and why did he close the door?' Sakura sweatdropped.

"I'll take the hammock." Sakura said. Nagisa nodded as Karma climbed out of the hole and lowered the hammock before going back into the hole. Sakura walked over and climbed in, smiling as the hammock swung her gently.

"Are you comfortable?" Nagisa asked.

"Yeah. Thanks Nagisa."

"Well, we'll have dinner in a few hours. Tonight we're having curry." Nagisa said. A cheer came out from the floorboards.

"Heck yeah! Curry!" Karma cheered. Sakura smiled as the teens left the room. She looked around the room.

'So, this is where I'm going to live now. This should be interesting.' Sakura thought.

"Hey baby bulb! Do you want pork or chicken?" Nakamura called.

"Chicken! Wait... Don't call me baby bulb!"
