Hello, everyone! Here's the next chapter of Ash's Adventures with the Care Bears. I hope you'll enjoy it! And now, on with the story!

Knowing that it was only a matter of time before Dark Heart found them, Ash decided to move the cubs to a safer place. And that's just what Noble Heart and True Heart did... in fact, they moved them to two places. The little Care Bear cubs found a new home in the billowy softness of Care-A-Lot, while the Care Bear Cousin cubs took to the trees of the Forest of Feelings, where the cubs could grow up big and strong in what seemed to be the twinkling of an eye.

(AN: Just so you viewers are aware, Ash will be singing the 'Growing Up' Song from the movie, so just bare with me)

(As Ash sings the song, Baby Loyal Heart Dog pops out of a bush and looks around, finding a sad Baby Proud Heart Cat. Baby Loyal Heart Dog walks over and gives Baby Proud Heart Cat a flower, Baby Share Bear opens the windows and stretches, then notices a bird and walks to the fridge to get a piece of cake to give to the bird. The bird eats the cake and Baby Share Bear laughs. At the forest of feelings, Noble Heart Horse draws a line above Baby Bright Heart Raccoon's head to see how tall he's grown. Baby Bright Heart Raccoon then points to the lines and jumps for joy. Baby Bedtime Bear plays with his star toy, then Baby Harmony Bear drinks milk from a glass. Baby Friend Bear and Baby Secret Bear are playing dress up with loose clothing, and outside, Baby Love-A-Lot Bear is trying to drive a Cloudmobile, only for True Heart Bear to teach her how to drive. Baby Funshine Bear then carries Baby Wish Bear to the telescope, and Baby Wish Bear looks through the telescope and she and Baby Funshine Bear stumble and fall over. The telescope spins and Baby Wish Bear becomes Grown-up Wish Bear and Baby Funshine Bear becomes Grown-up Funshine Bear. Wish Bear then looks through the telescope and finds Baby Brave Heart Lion, who roars and becomes Grown-up Brave Heart Lion. Baby Playful Heart Monkey swings on a vine and becomes Grown-up Playful Heart Monkey. Baby Bright Heart Raccoon makes ripples by dipping an apple in the water and becomes Grown-up Bright Heart Raccoon before eating the apple. Friend Bear and Cheer Bear are playing dress up and the clothes are not as loose as when they were cubs. Love-A-Lot Bear can drive independently and wears sunglasses. Bedtime Bear has his star toy and hugs it. He puts it on a shelf, waves to it, and leaves. When he comes back, it becomes old and he decides to throw it away.)

Thanks to Ash, True Heart and Noble Heart, all the cubs had learned how to help people share their feelings and put those feelings into action. They were now the Care Bears and the Care Bear Cousins, the Care Bear Family. Little did they know that, from his secret cave beneath the camp, Dark Heart was planning to capture the Care Bears.

[At Dark Heart's secret cave: Menacing!]

Dark Heart: The time is right for me to begin ruining all that is good in the world, starting with those furry defenders of feelings, I will remove them one by one and lock them away in their own special place For an eternity. Ha ha ha ha! With True Heart and Noble Heart busy elsewhere, It's time for me to pay a visit to the rest of the Care Bears. Ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha!

Meanwhile, Christy and the other campers, including John and Dawn were racing when she touched the totem pole first.

Christy: Yeah! I won! The camp champ wins again.

Campers: Oh. Whew! Ohh.

Christy: [to John and Dawn] Aren't you going to congratulate me?

John: Sure, Christy. But it's nothing new.

Dawn: You always win at everything.

Christy: That's because I'm the camp champ.

John: I remember when you couldn't win at anything, except marbles.

Dawn: It doesn't seem like it was that long ago. But we at least did good too, right?

Christy: Well, you two did do pretty good too, so I would say you two would be in the top five. How'd you do it anyway?

Dawn: Our new friend, Ash, helped us to get better at some of the stuff we couldn't do. And he told us that as long as we keep practicing, we'll get better at it.

John and Dawn: [in unison] Just don't give up 'til the very end!

Christy: Well, this Ash guy does seem nice to help you out, but I'm not the loser Christy anymore.

John: [pulls out the marble] Hey, Christy, want to shoot some marbles?

Christy: [walks away from John and Dawn] Hmph! [goes over to the lake] Time to see if anyone can beat the camp champ at swimming.

Campers: Aw. Do we have to?

Christy: Last one to the water gets trash duty for a week!

Dark Heart's influence was changing Christy, as it would change the entire camp. Meanwhile, the Care Bears were preparing a surprise party to welcome True Heart and Noble Heart home. With Ash's help, of course. Though, none of them even suspected that an uninvited guest was on his way.

Everyone was doing their part with setting up the decorations for the party and preparing the food. Ash made two plates of curry for the Bear and Horse of Honor and a big tray of chocolate chip cookies.

Harmony: [as she pushes a bowl of punch over to Tenderheart] This is gonna be a wonderful party, Tenderheart.

Tenderheart: [tastes the punch] You said it, Harmony Bear! Noble Heart and True Heart will really be surprised.

Grumpy: [carries a long sandwich roll from one] Not if they return before we're finished setting it up.

Tenderheart: We'll have time to spare, Grumpy Bear. Actually, everything's ready now.

Grumpy: [appears on the other side which left the two bears confused] That's because I've been doing double duty.

Ash: [comes by Tenderheart and Harmony] Well, as long as everything is ready ahead of schedule. I had just finished making the curry for True Heart and Noble Heart. I even made their faces out of pieces of meat and vegetables, and there are pots of it in the kitchen for the rest of you. After all, you Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins have yet to try my cooking since you weren't able to when you were cubs.

Then, the Caring Meter gonged as Bright Heart Raccoon was at the window.

Bright Heart Raccoon: Everyone, look!

Tenderheart and Grumpy went to the window and saw the arm on the Caring Meter spinning like crazy.

Tender Heart Bear: The caring meter's going crazy.

Bright Heart Raccoon: Whaddya make of it, Tenderheart?

Tenderheart: I'm not sure.

Then, they heard a knock at the door.

Grumpy: Who's that?

Bright Heart Raccoon: I don't know.

Ash: Probably the pizzas I ordered for the party.

Tenderheart: C'mon, let's go find out [as Grumpy and Bright Heart Raccoon follow him]. (slides down a slide) Whee! [gets to the bottom and looks up] Huh!

Ash, Care Bears and Cousins: Oow!

They looked and saw a man with a red hat and jumpsuit and blue shades. It was actually Dark Heart, but the Care Bears and Cousins didn't know that. But Ash did!

Dark Heart: Howdy. [Tenderheart/Bright Heart Raccoon/Grumpy: [gulp I'm the caring meter reader. I've come to read your caring meter. And it looks like I got here just in time.

Ash had a hunch that "The Caring Meter Reader" is Dark Heart, but he decided to see what the guy will do, then strike. So, the Care Bears and Cousins took the guy to the Caring Meter to "fix" it, but instead...

Dark Heart: Hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm. I've just about got it [breaks the gears and bits in the Caring Meter]. [as the arrow points down, drooping][Ash: {in his mind} I was right!] There! Let it cool down, and it'll be good as new.

Tenderheart: We're having a party. Would you like to come?

Dark Heart: Boy, would I ever! Who likes games?

Care Bears: Oh! Me!

Dark Heart: Alright! Sack racers, over there. Hide-And-Seekers, right over there. Blindman's bluffers, down there. Leapfroggers, up there. [pulls out his sack] Time for a game of disappearing bears. Ha ha ha!

Ash: [to the little stars] I knew that guy's trouble. We've gotta stop him!

As Ash and the stars went to attack, Brave Heart Lion, Proud Heart Cat, and Funshine Bear were ready for the sack race.

Brave Heart Lion: Come on. We're ready.

Dark Heart: Alright. Ready, set, go. [chases them ready to snag'em but gets hit by the Starbuddies sent by Ash) Ow! [falls head first in the clouds and pops his head out with a bear head] Grrr! [shakes the cloud off]

Then, Playful Heart Monkey leaps up and...

Playful Heart Monkey: Leapfrog! [lands on Dark Heart] Ha ha ha ha!

His head went into the clouds again and he came out with a cloud beard, the Friend Bear leaps on top of him and his head pushed back into the clouds and he came out with a cloud clown hat and nose, then Funshine Bear leaps on top of him too AND pushed his head back into the clouds and he came out with a cloud hair that looked like Elvis Presley's.

Funshine: C'mon, let's play Hide-And-Seek.

Harmony: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. [as Dark Heart hides behind clouds ready to strike] Ready or not, here I come! 1, 2, 3. Who do I see? [as Dark Heart leaps out] The caring meter reader. Touch home! You're it! [runs off]

Dark Heart: Here I come. looks around heard the car horn] Aha! One bear in the bag, coming up. [goes to the car and sees it's Ash and the Starbuddies] Aah! [Ash: Peek-A-Boo!][gets chased by the Starbuddies and Ash, who was using Bubble on his behind] Aah! Leave me alone! [slides down a rainbow] Whoa! Whoo! (lands on a seesaw)

Cheer Bear: [flips in the air] Whee!

Dark Heart: Oh, no! [as Cheer Bear landed on the other end he flew through the air and through the window] Ooohh! Whoa! Whuu! (lands on a tray of cookies) Ohhh! Aah! (lands in the punch bowl) Oh. Oh! Aooww! [rolls down the slide and out the door] Oh! Whoa! Whoa! Aarghh! (crashes, and the Care Bears and Cousins look down on him)

Tenderheart: Oh! We're terribly sorry.

Share: Can we give you a hand?

Harmony: Let's give him a hug. [as Dark Heart struggles] Oh!

Dark Heart: Nooooo! Get away from me! [Ash: Bears, Cousins, get behind me!] Keep your kindness and affection to yourselves.

Tender Heart Bear: It's Dark Heart.

Dark Heart: Yes. I've come here to get you, and now i shall have you all.

Ash: Yeah! Well, why don't you pick on someone your own size!

Dark Heart: That's how I remember you! You're the guy who punched me in the face.

Ash: That's right! And it's Ash! Ash Ketchum, King of Friendship!

Dark Heart: Well, Mr. King of Friendship! I think I'll destroy you as well as these bears!

Then, they all heard True Heart!

True Heart: That's what you think, Dark Heart.

Brave Heart Lion: True Heart! Noble Heart!

Dark Heart: Grrr!

Noble Heart: [as Ash lands beside True Heart and Noble Heart] You'll have to get through us first.

Dark Heart: I should have gotten rid of your helpers before I went after you.

True Heart: Care Bears...

Noble Heart: Care Cousins...

True Heart: Stare!

Noble Heart: Call!

(The Care Bears use the Care Bear Stare, and the Care Cousins use their Cousin Call)

Care Cousins: Roowwrrr!

Dark Heart: Oooh! [as True Heart and Noble Heart use the Care Bear Stare, while Ash fires his Alicorn Magic] Nooooo! [flees] You have won today, but i'll be back!

Noble Heart Horse: We must follow him while his evil power is still weak and defeat him once and for all.

True Heart Bear: Care Bears!

Noble Heart Horse: Care Bear Cousins!

True Heart Bear: While we're away, it will be up to you to carry on caring for the world.

Ash: And I'll stay behind and help them in any way I can.

Tenderheart: You can count on us.

Brave Heart: All of us.

Soon, it was time for True Heart and Noble Heart to go after Dark Heart as they set sail on the Cloudclipper.

Care Bears and Cousins: Good-Bye! Good-Bye!

Tender Heart Bear: We love you, True Heart, Noble Heart.

True Heart Bear: We love you all.

Tender Heart Bear: I hope we can do it by ourselves.

Brave Heart Lion: We have to, Tenderheart. We have to!

So, while True Heart and Noble Heart were off chasing Dark Heart to the ends of the earth, the Care Bears tried to take care of everything all by themselves.

Cheer: [as Share Bear signaled for all clear] Alright, Fun Shine, Love-A-Lot, you're cleared for takeoff.

Wish: I can't remember when we've been so busy, Tender Heart.

Tenderheart: True Heart and Noble Heart are counting on us to handle everything until they get back. They won't return until they defeat Dark Heart.

Wish: I hope for everyone's sake that they're okay.

Ash: [coming over to Tenderheart and Wish] I'm sure they'll be okay. They've might've almost been eaten by Dark Heart in his Sea Serpent form in the past, but I'm sure they'll be just fine.
