Cas is not an OC, she was an unnamed person that was on the bus when it crashed it the show. I named her, she's not going to survive.
If characters would stop moving themselves around where they think they should be now, I'd be happy. I'm looking at you Jes. Yes, I heard you now stay put! Thank you! Now on to our somewhat scripted story. Please review.
The Group POV:
The group watched as the sword came down on Hershel's neck and separated his head from his body.
"Daddy!" Beth screamed.
"NO!" Maggie yelled.
"Hershel!" Summer yelled.
Merle looked up at the tower where Jes was in the tower and raised his good hand as he watched Rick take the first shot and brought it down. "Now!" he told the group as they started firing. "Cover me."
Summer and Daryl kept focused on shooting but had heard him. "Where the hell do you think you are going?" Daryl asked.
"Finishing this, and well if I can, save Officer Friendly so our sister don't have to have that kid by herself."
"I'll go," Summer said, as she changed her position.
"Summer you can't!" Beth yelled at her.
"We've all got jobs to do, Hershel would say that!" she said as she fired. "I run faster then you Uncle Merle, I also have grenades in my bag and can throw! I'm not a kid anymore! I don't get to be a kid, not now. Now, are we going to stand here and see which Dixon is more stubborn or are we going to end this?" Summer asked.
Carl and Lexi took a breath as they fired. "She's got a better chance of getting Michonne and Joey out of there," Carl said.
"She also has a better chance of getting herself killed," Merle huffed.
"You brought the Governor into this Uncle Merle, you were almost killed by him, and you would have been if Mom and Uncle Daryl hadn't saved you. You go out there, you've got a big old bulls eye on you. Me, I'm faster, I'm younger, and I can move quicker. We're all going to die if we don't do something'. Dad's going to die, Michonne, Joey, they need to be helped. Hershel died, and I can't…let him come back," Summer told him.
"You better run faster then you've ever ran in your damn whole life," Daryl warned her.
Summer nodded. "Carl…you promise me you'll take care of mom, of the baby, of Judy," she said as she adjusted her bag.
Carl nodded. "We'll take care of them, all of us," he said.
"Thanks little brother, I'll be back. Beth, you make sure Judith and mom is on that bus!" she said.
Beth nodded. "Be careful," she told her friend.
"We're losing our window of time here!" Daryl yelled. "You better get your ass back in one piece," Daryl told her.
Merle looked up at the tower. "Jes, can you hear me?" he yelled.
"The walkers' in the next county can here you big mouth," Jes said as she fired.
"Cover Summer, see anything alive or dead coming after her, shoot it," Merle told the sniper.
"Got it!" Jes said. "Edge of the right side of the fence is the best way out. Cut a big ole hole in it and get out that way. The prison is lost anyway, might as well let the walkers' have it after we fry these pieces of shits."
"Got it," Summer said as she started to run.
Michonne, and Joey's POV:
The Governor looked at his group after he killed Hershel. "Go through the fence in your cars. Get your guns, we go in, we kill them all."
Tara looked at him. "Brian…they have sick children, a pregnant woman."
"Pick up your gun and let's do this," the man in the tank said.
Joey and Michonne exchanged glances as Rick had started firing and both started rolling. Joey had managed to dig out the razor blade that Tara had slipped him and get his hands somewhat lose. "Michonne!" he said as he rolled over to her. "Give me your hands," he told her.
"How? Where did you get that?" Michonne asked quietly.
"Tara..the girl in the pigtails…she slipped it to me before she got me out of the car. I could have saved Hershel…" Joey said as he looked at her.
"You could have got yourself killed," Michonne informed him.
"Stand up real easy kid," a gruff man's voice said from behind.
Joey glanced at Michonne and gave a slight nod as he stood up with his hands spread. "Easy, neither one of us needs to get hurt," he said as he kept his back to the man.
"Think it's a little late for that, don't you think kid? All you son of bitches had to do was give up, and you would have walked away. Now killin' a bunch of kids, a pregnant woman isn't what I signed up for. Now turn around," the man said.
"With the Governor, you never get what you signed up for," Joey said as he turned around and kicked the gun off the man's hand. "GO Michonne, help Rick," he said as he punched the man and knocked him down on the ground. "Now, what's your name?" Joey asked.
The man looked up at him. "John….look you can let me go, I swear I didn't know," the man pleaded with him.
"You had a choice, you could have ran, I did. You raised a gun on us, you wouldn't have hesitated, you didn't hesitate," Joey said as he grabbed the gun and pulled him up and turned him so he would get shot by a stray bullet. "Now you did something right today," he said as he shot the gun he had taken from the man and shot at others. He moved the body as he continued shooting as he saw an arrow hit another man. He looked up. "Summer what the hell?"
"Duck!" Summer yelled as she shot an arrow at a woman behind him.
"Not that I don't appreciate the help, I do, but what the hell are you doing down here? You should be getting out of here!" Joey yelled at her as he threw the man's body and went to her.
"Dad, you and Michonne..we couldn't leave you down here," Summer told him as she handed him a bat. "Save bullets!" she yelled as the two of them started taking on walkers' and soldiers.
The Bus POV:
Jewel met Beth at the steps. "Where's Judith? Where is she?"
"She isn't here?" Beth asked.
"No! The kids never got on the bus! Ronnie sent Mitch here but when he saw Judith was missing. Where's Summer? Rick? Carl? Where are they? Maggie? My brothers? Where are they?" Jewel asked.
Glenn steadied himself against the front seat. "Jewel this isn't good for the baby," he said.
Jewel glared at him. "All of our family isn't here Glenn, your wife, my children, my brothers, our family. I'm going to go look for them!"
Beth took a breath and blocked her. She looked at the people on the bus, at Glenn and her. She couldn't tell them Hershel was dead. "Daddy says we've all got jobs to do, Jewel. Your job is to stay on this bus, to keep that baby safe. That's your only job. Glenn, stay with her. I'll go find Judith and the other kids. We'll be back, we'll be alright," she assured her as she ran off.
Glenn nodded. "Come on Jewel, Rick wouldn't want this."
Jewel looked at him. "We were safe….I asked Michonne to stop looking. Jes…she stayed cause of the flu…she went out there….to get medicine. If she had been looking….she would have saw him."
Glenn shook his head. "No one is to blame."
A young woman with black hair bent down. "Your husband was a good man….he took us in after Woodbury….saved me in D block when I tripped."
Glenn glanced at her. "Cas…Rick is a good man…." he told her as he turned his attention back to Jewel.
Jewel stood up. "Rick isn't dead! Do you understand? Do you all understand? None of us would be alive if it wasn't for Rick," she said as she turned and went to get off the bus.
"Jewel!" Glenn yelled as he stumbled to follow her.
Maggie grabbed Jewel. "What are you doing? Where are you going?"
"I'm going to find Rick," Jewel informed her.
"No you aren't, you are staying right where you are," Maggie said. "Where's Beth?"
"She went to find Judith," Glenn said.
"Stay here I'm going to find her, we've got to get out of here," Maggie said.
"You aren't going alone!" Glenn told her as he started to go after her.
"No, you stay here, stay with Jewel. I'll be right back!" Maggie said as she ran off the bus.

This Night by Black Lab
There are things,
I have done.
There's a place,
I have gone.
There's a beast,
And I let it run.
Now it's runnin' my way.
There are things,
I regret.
That you can't forgive.
You can't forget.
There's a gift,
That you sent.
You sent it my way.
So, take this night.
Wrap it around me like a sheet.
I know I'm not forgiven,
But I need a place to sleep.
So, take this night.
Lay me down on the street.
I know I'm not forgiven,
But I hope that I'll be given
Some peace.
There's a game,
That I played.
There are rules,
I had to break.
There's mistakes,
That are made.
But I made 'em my way.
So, take this night.
Wrap it around me like a sheet.
I know I'm not forgiven,
But I need a place to sleep.
So, take this night.
Lay me down on the street.
I know I'm not forgiven,
But I hope that I'll be given
Some peace.
Some peace.
Some peace
