Author- I don't know if I can even call myself an author but here it goes.
Disclaimer!
I don't own anything, all of this is JK Rowling's. Also this is my first fic on this site so bare with me and my awful grammar and spelling. I am in no way shape or form a professional writer and this is just a hobby. I am also from America, so the only British words I know are from Harry Potter so bare with me. ANNNDD I'm awful at spelling and grammar so i apologize in advance. Also, as I said at the beginning, this fic is a combination of a bunch of head-canons and ideas that I've seen on Pinterest. So some of the points or conversations in the story are not original. I decided to put them all together. Anyway... here's chapter 5!
Chapter 5-
Hermione POV~
Hermione grew restless at the kitchen table. It was only her and Mrs. Weasley, for the Mr left for work an hour before. Hermione attempted to distract her self by reviewing a map of Australia for the ump-tenth time.
"Why don't you go check on them, honey." Mrs. Weasley said, noticing Hermione's stare towards the staircase. Hermione only nodded as she got up a little too eagerly. As she rounded the stairs and peaked into Ginny's room, she was awake but curled in a ball staring blankly at a wall, a single tear down her cheek, crossing over to her nose and landing on the pillow. Hermione backed out and entered Harry and Ron's room, the latter's half was wrecked. Everything thrown and broken and an equally broken Ron sitting on the floor staring down at a book with ripped out pages. She recognized this as the book she gave him for one Christmas, not expecting him to read it. Harry on the other hand was a mirror image of Ginny, minus the tear. She allowed a sad smile at the two. But that expression was quickly replaced with a fiery determination.
"Get up," Hermione said as she attempted to lift Harry and drag him towards the door. Almost as if his body responded instead of his mind he got up and walked towards the open door. Hermione guided him down the stairs and shoved him into Ginny's room, closed the door and headed back to Ron's room. On her way up the stairs she sent a patronus to Angelina
George needs someone
Even though Fred was a ghost, it was still a place in George's life that disappeared. She didn't need to worry about Bill or Charlie, the latter went back to Romania and the former had Fleur. When she walked in he was still looking at the damaged book. She walked over, sat down next to him, pulled out her wand, and whispered the mending charm. He only then noticed her and broke down crying in her arms. She just held him knowing he needed a constant. He was her constant during the time without her parents and she was determined to be his.
Harry POV~
Harry didn't know how he got there but he was holding Ginny in her room, in her bed. A moment of panic swept through him but it was gone just as quick as it came when Ginny turned in his arms and snuggled closer to his chest. He knew that Hermione practically kicked him into the room but it didn't matter. He needed Ginny, as she needed him, and if she needed him to travel to hell and back for her he would.
His moment of happiness was interrupted by the grief that went trough him like a tidal wave. Tonks, Remus, Fred...he grieved for them as much as the people who died without ever meeting him. My fault, My fault, My fault chanted through his head, a woodpecker in his head. Harry buried his head in Ginny's hair and fell back into a numb sleep.
Molly Weasley POV~
Mrs. Weasley started to get worried about her children. Harry and Hermione included, they were her children just as much as her red-heads were. Even though Hermione's rearranging, to Mrs. Weasley's frustration, helped and made the teens come down for food they still were zombies, wrecked with grief.
"Maybe a trip to the ministry will help them," Mr. Weasley said sadly, still recovering from his son's death. "The boys have to register for Auror training and all three have to register their patronuses. Not to mention get their apparation licenses"
"That's a good idea, I'm sure the'll make an exception for Gin, so she can go too."
"I'll be getting dressed" Mr. Weasley said as he left the kitchen. This left Mrs. Weasley to get the teens awake, fed, and ready in the next 20 minutes. Impossible to most, but not her. She ascended the stairs and stopped at Ginny's room first, to find Harry and Ginny in each other arms. Ginny tightly holding on to Harry's chest while Harry was surrounding her with his arms. She opened the door wider, earning a squeak from the old, worn hinge. Faster than she could react Harry shot up with his wand pointed at the doorway, startling Ginny awake. He realized who she was and laid back to set his wand back on the nightstand, enveloping Ginny once again. A pain went through Mrs. Weasley's chest.
"Harry, dear, Arthur was wondering if you, Ron, Gin, and Hermione would like to go with him to the ministry. To do apparation tests and registrations." All Harry gave was a nod as he studied a strand of Ginny's hair. Mrs. Weasley backed out and continued to Ron's room. When she opened the door she found Hermione reading a book on the bed, with Ron sleeping on her stomach. She smiled and closed her book.
"Arthur wants to know if you, Harry, Ron, and Gin want to tag along and get your apparation tests done, and get Harry and Ron registered." Hermione just nodded and as backed out she saw her brush Ron's hair out of his face.
Harry POV~
Harry never wanted to leave this spot. But he knew this outing would be good for them, so he pushed the hair from Ginny's face and slowly tried to ease her awake.
"Gin." All Harry got was a sleepy moan. A breathily laugh came from Harry.
"Love," A inaudible sentence that Harry got as "I like the sound of that"
"Hello?"
"What could possibly be more important than cuddling and sleep."
"Nothing, absolutely nothing."
"Good, now if you don't mi-"
"But...we do have to get ready so we can go to the ministry."
"Ministry?"
"We have to take apparition tests and me and Ron have to get registered for Auror training. I'm sure Hermione has to do something for her job." Job. Such a grown-up word, Harry thought. They would have jobs, this time next year.
"Well ok, but I want to stay here for a little longer."
"Anything for you, love," Harry said as he wrapped his arms around Ginny's small form, making a cocoon of warmth. Ginny snuggled deeper.
Author- this is a little shorter, sorry. I have no idea how to write grief or anything like that, so suggestions are welcome. PLEASE REVEIW...but please no very hateful things. Until next time...
