Author- I don't know if I can even call myself an author but here it goes.
Disclaimer!
I don't own anything, all of this is JK Rowling's. Also this is my first fic on this site so bare with me and my awful grammar and spelling. I am in no way shape or form a professional writer and this is just a hobby. I am also from America, so the only British words I know are from Harry Potter so bare with me. ANNNDD I'm awful at spelling and grammar so i apologize in advance. Also, as I said at the beginning, this fic is a combination of a bunch of head-canons and ideas that I've seen on Pinterest. So some of the points or conversations in the story are not original. I decided to put them all together. Anyway... here's chapter 7!
Chapter 7-
Ginny POV~
By the time the other 3 caught up to her she was leaning against the wall by Mr. Weasley's door, breathing heavily but not panting and sweaty like Ron. Harry was second back and was in the same shape as Ginny, he stopped and bent his legs a little to make it easier for Hermione to slide off his back. Hermione on the other hand looked pale and slightly ill, Ginny assumed it was from all the up and down from Harry running. Ron was last, panting and holding his side. Hermione went over and murmured an incantation while waving her wand at Ron. It was to check if he had broken or strained anything, Hermione explained before murmuring a second spell that made Ron stand straight and stop panting, as if he never ran. Ginny thought that Hermione would know healing spells well after being friends with Harry and Ron for 7 years and having to patch them up after countless reckless adventures.
"Honestly, you expect to win a race when all you've eaten these past months are berries and mushrooms. You're the equivalent to a spaghetti noodle, and Harry would be too if not for Ginny shoving food in his mouth 24/7." Hermione said, hugging him.
~Flashback~
Ginny POV~
"Is Ron eating? I mean, Harry was thin when I saw him after the battle and I've been making him eat more, but he's still pretty thin. He always takes smaller portions than everyone else and gets the leftovers. But I can barely sit down and eat with him, it's like he's learned things from Ron and finishes his food in seconds." Ginny said as she and Hermione stood by the window washing dishes, watching the boys de-gnoming the yard.
"I don't want to rush Ron, he eats but doesn't shovel food in his mouth. It's just, he's gotten better and I don't want him taking steps backwards with September coming up." Hermione said, focusing on the plate she was washing, "But Harry's always been like that, his Aunt and Uncle and cousin usually ate first and he got leftovers. Or he would have to eat quick so his cousin didn't take his food." Ginny turned to her, with a shocked and disgusted face.
"You can finish this right?" Ginny said, not waiting for an answer. She dried her hands and stomped outside, Harry looked up to find Ginny stomping towards the clearing they had visited the first few days after the battle. He took off his gloves and took off after her.
Harry POV~
When they both were standing in the clearing, Ginny had her arms crossed looking angry at Harry. Panic ripped through Harry. Maybe she finally came to terms with how he left her and didn't love him.
"Why did I have to hear from Hermione that you were practically starved as a kid," Harry looked at her shocked.
"It never came up," Harry said weekly.
"Don't give me that crap," Ginny said stomping towards him, "I want to know these things, I need to know these things. You can't do this on your own." Harry knew Ginny was upset over more than his past. Yes, she wanted to know him, all of him. But she didn't want him to deal with-with everything on his own.
"Gin, this is mine to endure, it's my mistakes and demons,"
"Yes, but if we're are going to be an 'us' I need to be there for you, just like you're there for me. And I can't be there for you, if I don't know what you're going through. And if i can't-" Ginny was crying now, trying hard to finished her sentence. Harry opened his arms for her, which she gladly took. Harry just held her in the sun, she eventually dried her tears and looked up at him.
"If you tell my brothers I cried over a boy I'll break up with you and take full custody of Hermione and Ron." Ginny said, which made Harry throw his head back and laugh. When he looked back at Ginny, she was looking at him.
"Tell me." She said simply.
"My story, or my problems?"
"Start with the story, I'm sure it'll merge into your problems."
With a laugh Harry started, "Well, I lived in the cupboard under the stairs."
"YOU WHAT?!" Ginny tried to push out of Harry's arms, no doubt about to hex his relatives.
"Hey, hey settle down. If you would let me finish I would have said that I moved into Dudley's second bedroom, when I was 11. My Uncle and Aunt got freaked out that the letters knew where I slept."
"That didn't make it any better, you still slept under the stairs, and we're starved."
"I was not starved, Ginny, this is hard to talk about and you're not making it easier," Harry said avoiding her eyes. Ginny had an apologetic look in her face as she pulled him to the ground and sat between his legs. Her back to his stomach. He wrapped his arms around her instinctively.
"I'll keep my trap shut, and if it's too hard we can stop." Harry truly did love her, and even though he thought it impossible he loved her even more with each passing day. Harry silently sent a patronus to Hermione, telling her where they were and they would be back by dinner. Harry took a deep breath and started.
~End of Flashback~
Harry walked over to Ginny and kissed her forehead, "I knew you would win." She smiled and pecked him on the cheek, "You'd be a fool to bet against me." Harry chuckled and hugged her tight. He turned back around and saw Ron and Hermione turning as well. They knocked on the door to Mr. Weasley's office, the knock answered with a 'Come in!'
"We finished with the tests Dad and we're about to head home." Ginny said, poking her head in.
"Yes, yes, I got Ron and Harry registered, and will get the information packets later this summer. Is Hermione out there?" A nod from Ginny, Hermione hearing her name poked in, "Oh, hello, the minister told me to tell you that next Monday I'll bring home a port-key for you, Harry, Ron, if you want, set to go to Australia." Hermione nodded excitedly taking her head back from the door way, she turned and hugged Ron bursting with joy.
"If there isn't anything else we're heading home," Ginny said, taking Harry's hand, practically dragging him towards the elevator.
Once the four got in, Hermione said, "Oh we forgot our coats." Harry told her that it was too hot for coats and we would end up forgetting them, he smiled about to tell her 'I told you so' but Ginny, still holding his hand, took off yelling, "We'll get them!" Dragging Harry back to the office. Mr. Weasley met them halfway holding four coats on his forearms, he handed them off and wished safe travels. Harry took the coats while Ginny embraced her father in a hug. Harry was breathing heavily from keeping up with the ball of energy he had for a girlfriend, and he was happier than ever. All thoughts that had plagued his mind the past week were gone for that moment with the girl he loved dragging him back to the elevator. The elevator was empty when they got in and Ginny turned to him.
"Thank you for telling me about everything," She said with a smile. 'I know it was hard."
"Nothings hard with you, Gin," Harry said. "Well, maybe one thing." He murmured while blushing, looking else where. If Ginny heard the last part she didn't show it, all she did was grabbed the collar of his shirt, and pulled him down for a kiss. Harry dropped the coats and grabbed her hips, pulling her closer. Harry tongued Ginny's lower lip, asking for entrance, which was gladly given. By the time the elevator dinged, Harry had Ginny on the wall of the elevator, her leg around his hip. As if the sound of the elevator pulled them out of their world, Harry backed away with a huge grin on his face that matched Ginnys. He picked up the fallen coats with one hand and held Ginny's with the other.
"Oh, I see, you didn't volunteer us out of kindness," Harry said with a boyish grin on his face.
They walked out of the elevator to the fireplaces. Going home.
Author-Ok so that was chapter 7. My uploading is irregular so bare with me. This ended off weird, so sorry. I have a lot of plans with this story so this is just the beginning. While saying that, as the story goes on the chapters will be longer apart. So while each chapter now is a day or two apart, the later chapters will be months maybe years apart for the characters. Until next time...
