Sydney then rushed to Max's side and said, "Come on dad. Let me help you out. I'll help you up the stairs and help get you showered tonight." Max looking humiliated said, "Sydney, I..." Sydney then said, "No buts dad. With grandma gone, we're all the other has now. I am going to help you out. Now lets get moving."

I haven't had a single boyfriend yet, and if this pandemic doesn't get under control, all this social distancing is gonna keep me from touching a boy till I'm eighteen." Max chuckled for a second and then said, "Wow. It just dawned on me. I can't begin to imagine what it feels like to be a teenager during this pandemic. To be isolated from the rest of society during these important informative years. Let alone not being allowed to date at your age. If I had to social distance like this when I was a teenager, my hormones would be raging like crazy." Sydney then rolled her eyes as she said, "Oh, mine definitely are."

Then Max turned his head so he was now looking directly at Sydney. Max then noticed Sydney was starting to breathe heavily now and realized her heart was racing. Max then looked into Sydney's eyes as he said, "Sydney... are you..." Sydney then looking nervous looked down a bit and said, "This pandemic is driving me crazy dad. I wanna get out there and experience the world. I wanna have my first boyfriend and go on my first date. I wanna experience my first kiss. I wanna feel all the emotions that come from being close with another person. I wanna know if being with a boy makes me feel good; and if it doesn't: how experimenting with a girl feels." Then Max put a hand on Sydney's cheek and said, "I know Sydney. I've been without intimacy for so long, and to know for sure now that it'll be much longer is driving me mad. After a moment, the two moved their heads away looking nervous as Max said, "Sydney. I'm so sorry. I..." Sydney turned her head and said, "It's okay.
