Chapter 193

Author's Note: I just realized, (well Summer realized) that she'll have to face Mika and tell her that Lizzie died. That's going to add another dimension that wasn't there before. And, I wonder how I can not even be in season 5 yet…I am very much about personal relationships! Man, not sure if that's a good or bad thing. But since you aren't complaining! But say the show lasts to season 12, we may have 5000 chapters but hey, it's all for fun! Now, let's see if we can get Mar and Daryl back together at least! Review please! Rick's Group POV:

Mar pulled the water bottles out of the car and checked them. "We're getting low on water. Carl, Lexi, either one of you two want to come down by the lake with me to get some water so we can boil it?" she asked.

"I'll come," Lexi told her as she got out of the car. "Let sleeping beauty catch up on his sleep," she teased.

"Hey, I'll come," Carl told them.

"We've got it," Mar assured them as her and Lexi walked up to Rick and Michonne by the fire. "We're going to get some water, we're getting low," Mar told them.

"You want me to go with you? Or Carl?" Rick asked.

Mar laughed. "No we got it. Lexi and I are both proud graduates of the Jewel Grimes school of knife training. We have knives that aren't visible, and we have our guns."

"Be careful," Michonne warned them.

"If we aren't back in half an hour, come looking for us," Mar said as they walked down to the rivers. "Let's stay between the trees, keep an ear out."

Lexi nodded. "Do you think Terminus is the real deal?"

Mar gave a sad smile. "I'm not sure anything is a real deal anymore. But they are taking people in, and Ty and Sasha would have seen the same signs as we have, and they would be thinking the same way as you are. Daryl and Mitch, Jewel, God Jewel…" she said softly as she filled the water bottles.

"Do you think she's had the baby? Do you think she survived? The baby?" Lexi asked.

"I do," Mar answered.

Lexi turned her head in the direction of a twig snapping. "Mar…" she said as she grabbed a knife.

"Get behind me," Mar instructed as she got her rifle. "If you're living, you better say something right now, otherwise I'm going to assume you are among the dead and I'm going to shoot."

Daryl and Axel came out of woods. "I heard you caused some trouble while we were apart," Daryl said in a low voice.

Mar let her gun down. "Daryl!" she said as she ran to him. "Hi…."

Daryl hugged her and kissed her. "You with Rick? Who else?" he asked as he nodded to Lexi.

"How did you know we were with Rick? Hi Axel," Lexi said.

"We met up with some real bad guys, described Mar and Rick perfectly, they're out for blood," Axel said. "And, other things," he added quietly as he glanced at Lexi.

"Rick, Michonne and Carl, they are back a ways," Mar said. "We've got to warn them."

"You three are going to go a little ways on the trail, stay hidden. They got to be around here, close," Daryl told him.

"You aren't going alone," Mar told him.

Daryl pulled her away from Lexi and Axel. "These are real bad men, Mar. Men that aint gonna hesitate in raping you, Lexi for that matter. I'm not going to let you put yourself at risk. Axel's surprised me, being able to stick up for himself, for me, but you're still better at defending yourself, defending them. I just found you, and I'm not gonna lose you again. Do you hear me?" he asked.

"I hear you…but what about me losing you?" Mar asked.

"I can handle myself. Now, go. Axel take care of them man," Daryl instructed.

"Be careful," Axel said.

"You better come back to me, we still got to find Jewel, Mitch, the others," Mar said as she kissed him. "Come on Lex," she said as she watched Daryl walk the other direction. She walked with Axel and Lexi, then stopped. "You two go on hide, use knives only," she instructed.

"Where are you going?" Lexi asked.

"Mar, you don't need to be putting yourself in danger, stay with us, let Daryl handle it," Axel pleaded.

"I am part of this Axel, I was in that house, I was in that bathroom, I was the one who had the scissors. Rick and I both were responsible and I can't leave Rick out there to face this on there own. Do you really think Daryl should be going this alone? I heard those men Axel, I know what they are capable of. I can't stay back here with you and Lexi, and let them do this alone. I couldn't live with myself if something happens, knowing I am one of the ones that they are looking for. Just stay with Lexi, one of us will come get you. Don't come out no matter what," Mar told them.

Lexi hugged her. "Be careful, I don't want to have to tell Mitch that you or Daryl are gone….when we get to Terminus. Just like you don't want to tell Ty or Sasha that something happened to me."

Mar gave a small smile. "I don't want to tell Jewel something happened to her son, her husband and brother. That would be on me. We all have to make decisions in this world now that we can live with. This is one of those times. You two need to stay out of sight," she warned.

"What makes it alright for you to go and not me?" Axel told her.

"You and Lexi need to protect each other. No one does it alone anymore," Mar said as she squeezed Axel's shoulder. "Be careful, both of you."
