Lincoln felt like passing out from seeing what was once a bleeding and bruised nose, to a now perfectly fine nose. Lincoln thought that it obviously healed from his powers, but he didn't even think much about it being healed to normal.

"Maybe that thought was in my head when I slept?" He thought.

Lincoln was of course happy to see his nose was now better, but that meant he would still have to wear the bandage. Since it obviously wouldn't make sense to everyone how in just one day it healed back to normal. With that being thought of, he picked up the bandage on his bed and re-wrapped his nose with it. He took another look in the mirror and could already see the teasing come his way at school.

After looking in the mirror at something he's gonna have to wear for about a week or two, Lincoln huffed and left his room to get a shower and everything.

At school

The morning went pretty normal, no one in the house poked fun at him, so that was good. Everyone was dropped off at school, Lincoln was sitting in his usual class. So far, no one has made fun of him or talked about him about it.

As long as today goes like this until he can doesn't have to wear the dressing, all's good...at least, Lincoln hopes.

Lunch

Lincoln sat through his class as normal, learning about math blah, blah, blah. Lincoln sat with his friends, they eventually spoke up and asked him about what happened to his nose. Lincoln laughed at first and then started to explain the situation that happened.

He explained from him getting a soccer ball to the face and ending up with the bandaging on his nose. His friends tried not to laugh, but Lincoln didn't care since they're his friends and he started to laugh with them too.

"So" Clyde spoke after swallowing his food "How come you had to be Lynn's goal keeper?" He asked.

"Yeah, you don't play sports" Rusty pointed out.

"Yeah, I tried a card trick on her where she said if I impressed her, I don't have to be her goalie" Lincoln answered.

Lincoln realised after saying 'card trick' his friends looked at him differently.

"Um, did I say something?" He asked as he was lost.

"A card trick? I didn't know you did magic" Liam said surprisingly.

"Oh, haha, I just got into it a few days ago" He answered with a chuckle.

"Well? Let's see some!" Stella said.

His friends were now looking at him, now wanting to see him perform a trick with either cards or anything.

"Well, um" Lincoln pulled on his collar in slight fear. "I don't know if I have my cards with me, but I can see"

Lincoln grabbed his bag and started to go through it, he didn't have the box...unless, he tried something. Lincoln put his hand in his bag and zipped it up, his friends looked at him wondering what he was doing.

"Um, Linc-"

"Hang on" He cut Clyde off.

Lincoln pulled his hand out...holding the small box filled with the 52 cards. Lincoln took the cards out and started to shuffle the cards. He then spread the cards out in his hands so it's easier to pick one out. He held the cards in front of his friends.

"Okay, anyone want to pick a card out?" He asked them.

"Dibs" Stella said as she picked a card out the deck.

She showed the rest apart from Lincoln the card she picked out.

"Put it back somewhere in the deck" He instructed as he looked away.

Stella did as instruct, Lincoln then looked back at the deck. He focused on the top deck...picturing the card on top...instead of somewhere in the middle. He lifted his hand up and snapped his fingers.

"Lift the card on top" He asked Stella to do.

Stella flipped the card on top, showing the 2 of diamonds.

"Is that your card?" He asked without looking up from the card to see their reactions.

"Oh my gosh! Yes!" Stella answered, almost yelling.

Lincoln looked up, seeing his friends faces to the trick he did. He felt himself give a sigh of relief, as he wasn't a fully confident on trying the trick on his friends.

"Can you do another?" Rusty asked.

"Um" Lincoln said before realising, maybe he can? "Sure"

Lincoln shuffled the cards again, as he was shuffling them, he tried thinking of something else he can do. Lincoln stopped and faced Clyde with the cards in his hands.

"Pick one and don't show me" He said.

Clyde picked a card out and looked, he saw he picked out the 5 of spades.

"Put it back in the deck when you're done" Lincoln instructed.

Clyde remembered his card and shoved it back into the middle of the deck.

Lincoln then spread the cards out on the table in a line.

"Okay, let me think" He said as he hovered his hand over the cards.

He then stopped over one that he felt more attracted to, Lincoln took the card faced down.

"Is this your card?" Lincoln asked as he lifted the card up to Clyde and his friends.

"Um, no?" Clyde said.

Lincoln looked and saw the card was the 6 of spades. He started to panic, but then.

"Okay" He said with a shaky voice. "Your card was spades, right?" He asked to which Clyde nodded. "Alright, we got that right, it's just the number"

Lincoln realised he was on the verge of a panic attack, from almost embarrassing himself in front of his friends.

"What if I can..." Lincoln held the card firmly in his hands, with it facing his friends. He then started to shake it like he was shaking a can of soda. He made a sharp swoosh with his hand holding the card. In his hand was no longer the 6 of spades, it was now the 5 of spades.

This made his friends jaws drop from what they have saw.

"What the heck?" Rusty questioned.

"How- did- what?" Are the words everyone was trying to find.

Lincoln felt happy seeing his friends stunned, maybe aside from using his powers against the people that anger him, maybe he can use them for entertainment.

"I have another one"

Throughout the rest of their lunch, Lincoln showed off some tricks, even going as far to shuffling the cards and having them end up in the correct order from two to ace. Unfortunately, lunch ended, meaning no more magic tricks for his friends. Everyone left the lunch room and headed off back to class.

But something was left on the table Lincoln was sitting at. It seemed like he dropped something out of his-...oh no...the dressing, it fell of his nose.

Back in class

Lincoln was sitting through another lesson in his class about some geography stuff. Lincoln didn't even realise his nose was no longer wrapped up as he was focusing on his work. After about maybe 20 minutes or so of writing, the bell went for everyone to go home now. Lincoln stood up from his desk and shoved his book in his bag, but before he could leave, Lincoln felt a tug on his arm.

"Hey, uh Lincoln?" Clyde said as he turned Lincoln around to face him.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"Where's your um?" Clyde gestured to his nose.

Lincoln felt his nose with his hand and realised.

"Oh no"

"I thought you said your nose was swelled and bruised, but it looks untouched"

"Yeah! Um, I think the bandaging fell off" Lincoln said as he was searching the floor for it.

"Lincoln, that doesn't answer my-"

"Are you two leaving any time soon?" Mrs Johnson asked them.

"Yeah! Come on Clyde" Lincoln grabbed his friend's hand and walked out the class.

"Linc, buddy, can you explain-"

"Not now, just come on" Lincoln said as he let go of his hand.

The two walked out the school and began to walk in the direction to their houses. Once they were out of view from the school, in case Lori came early to pick him and his younger sisters up, Lincoln turned to Clyde.

"Alright" Lincoln took a deep breath "I know this may sound weird, but when I went to bed yesterday, I woke up like- like this!" He gestured to his nose.

"You went to sleep with a bruised and swelling nose, and woke up with a perfectly fine nose?" Clyde asked as he was confused.

"Yeah, I know it's hard to believe, but I guess it might've healed faster than normal"

"Lincoln, that's not normal" Clyde pointed out.

"I know, I know, but I don't even know what to say to my family, I wore the bandaging again so they wouldn't ask questions"

"Now you lost it"

"Yeah, so I don't know what to do" Lincoln sighed.

"Wait a minute, how come you're more worried about what your family will think, instead of your fast healing?" Clyde said since it didn't make any sense.

Lincoln froze in his place. Clyde saw Lincolns eyes wide, judging by his actions, Clyde put two and two together.

"Lincoln? Do you know how your nose healed fast?"

Lincoln started to shake with his words "I-I-I um, I-I-I-I don't? K-k-know?"

"Lincoln, do you?" Clyde asked again.

Lincoln realised he wasn't going to get out of this without telling the truth.

He calmed down and started over. "I do know"

"Really? How?"

"This is harder to believe, but...I'm...magic?" Lincoln wasn't sure if telling him was a good idea.

Clyde didn't say anything, he just stood there like he saw Lori, except without passing out or malfunctioning like a robot.

"Magic?" Clyde repeated the last word.

"Yeah?" Lincoln said as he braced for Clyde's reaction.

"Seriously?" Clyde asked.

"Yeah, it's how I was able to do those card tricks at lunch" Lincoln answered.

Clyde started to scratch the back of his head. "Okay, well if you're really magic, then...um" Clyde looked around the area they were in.

Clyde spotted a fire hydrant across the street. Clyde then pointed to it and turned his head to Lincoln.

"If you are, then make that hydrant explode" Clyde said.

Lincoln was surprised to hear that come from Clyde, he actually expected him to do another card trick, or make something appear in his hands.

"Um, ok" Lincoln said.

He eyed at the hydrant, picturing the water pleasure start to grow and grow, he held his hand out and turned it, as if he was turning a tap. Lincoln opened his eyes and-

BANG

The hydrant exploded into the air, the water starting spew into the street and the house in front of its front garden. This made Lincoln and Clyde jump back from what happened, Clyde was in total shock and then turned to Lincoln.

"W-w-what the-" Clyde cut himself off.

Lincoln kind of laughed a little from this "Yeah- please don't say anything"

Back home

An hour has passed since everyone got home, minus Lincoln. Lynn Sr was cooking dinner and Rita was in the middle of a home workout. With the parents and kids occupied, the home phone rang. Rita paused the tv and went over to answer it.

She picked it up.

"Hello?"

A few minutes later, Lynn Sr heard Rita "Oh my gosh!"

Lynn Sr was still in the middle of cooking, until he heard someone come over to him, he turned and saw his wife holding the phone.

"Lynn" She said.

"What?" Lynn Sr said.

"I got a call from one of my friends who lives a few blocks away from us, and the fire hydrant next to one of their neighbours just blew up out of nowhere!"

Lynn Sr was surprised to hear that.

"How did that happen?" He asked.

"They don't know, but their street is flooded until the water is fixed"

"Is that why Lincoln isn't home yet?"

"I don't know, I'll call him" Rita left Lynn to continue his cooking and called Lincoln on her mobile phone.

A few rings went by until he finally picked up. "Hey! Mom" He answered.

"Hi sweetie, I heard the fire hydrant a few blocks away from us just exploded, the street is flooded, where are you?" She asked him.

"Oh! I'm at Clyde's, we saw it happen so I suggested I go over to his until it's fixed" He answered his mom.

"Oh, ok that's good, well call us when-"

"Ow!"

"Lincoln?" Rita asked.

"Hey, yeah sorry I stubbed my toe" Lincoln answered.

Rita had her eyebrow raised "Oh, well call me when your able to come home"

"Ok, love you mom, bye"

Lincoln then hung up the phone.

Rita was confused why Lincoln had to go so quickly, maybe he and Clyde were playing a game. She put her phone away and continued her work out.

Clyde's house

Lincoln was trying to keep Clyde from leaving his room to go tell his dads what he just saw. It was like Lincoln trying to keep Clyde from running away.

"Clyde! You can't tell them!" Lincoln grunted as he tried to keep Clyde from running out of the room.

"But I have to tell them!" He yelled back as he tried to escape Lincolns grasp.

"Clyde! You can't!" Lincoln had to pull Clyde back harder, causing the two to fall back. Lincoln took advantage and pinned Clyde down on the ground, holding his arms down to the ground.

"Let me up Lincoln!"

"Not until you calm down and promise you won't tell them what happened"

Clyde stopped struggling, he sighed in defeat. "Alright" He agreed.

Lincoln stood up and held his hand out for Clyde, Clyde took his hand and was pulled up to his feet. The two took some breathers, once they filled their lungs with air.

"Lincoln?"

Lincoln looked up at Clyde. "Yeah?"

"How did you do that?" Clyde asked him.

As if the timing couldn't be any perfect.

"Well- I um...look Clyde, I don't even know" Lincoln admitted.

"You don't know?" Clyde surprised. "You were able to blow up a fire hydrant and you don't know?"

"I don't even know how I'm even able to"

The two sat on Clyde's bed. After what happened, it was overwhelming. Clyde then turned to Lincoln.

"Can you do anything else?"

Lincoln got confused by that "What do you mean?"

"I mean, aside from card tricks and blowing hydrants, is there anything else you've done?" Clyde explained his question.

"Oh" Lincoln said with a nervous laughter. "Well-"

20 minutes later

"-And that's what I did to them"

Lincoln had explained to Clyde what he had done to the few of the girls who angered him. Clyde's jaw was dropped after hearing about the sauerkraut cookies with Lola.

Clyde snapped himself out of his day dream "So, your basically like, a real magician?"

Lincoln cringed a little from hearing that, it sounded awesome to hear, but it sounded a little bit silly. But he wasn't wrong, the things Lincoln did kinda related to a magician's act.

He then chuckled "Yeah, I guess so"

Clyde then perked up when he realised something "Hang on a sec, if you lost the bandaging for your nose, what are you gonna do when you get home?"

Lincolns face dropped "Oh no"

He started to panic a little, because if he went home with no bandaging on it, he's gonna be owing his family and explanation.

Clyde noticed his friends panic attack coming in, he then got idea. "Hang on, stay here" Clyde jumped off the bed and left the room.

He came back in only a minute with some rolled up wound dressing. Lincolns eye brow raised in confusion, I mean yeah, he could just wrap his nose up again, but Lincoln didn't know how to and neither did Clyde.

"I know I know nothing about wrapping noses, but-" Clyde then grabbed his laptop and opened it to google. "The internet can help"

Lincoln fell back on the bed "This isn't gonna go well" He thought to himself.

10 minutes later

"And...were done" Clyde finished.

He grabbed a mirror from his dresser and held it in front of Lincoln to see. Lincoln looked and saw...it wasn't that convincing. Clyde did not a bad job at the wrapping, but the one he had on before was a little bloody under where the nostrils are. Lincoln realised in order to pull this off, he would have...to...oh crap.

"Clyde?" Lincoln asked him.

"Yeah buddy?" Clyde responded.

"There's one more thing we need to do" He said.

"Oh? What's that?"

"I need you to punch me in the nose"

"What?!" Clyde said surprised.

"The last time I checked, there was a little bit of blood under the nostrils, and that left the red mark under it" Lincoln explained.

"Right?" Clyde said.

"So, if we want everyone to not suspect anything, then I need you to punch me in the face"

"Wouldn't it make sense if I just..i don't know, slammed the door into your face?" Clyde suggested.

"I want to just have my nose bleed, not have it break again" Lincoln corrected.

"Well I'm not gonna punch you Lincoln, there has to be...another-" Clyde cut himself off, he had an idea.

Lincoln of course noticed this "What? You have an idea?"

"Yeah! Lincoln, if you could do all these impossible things, then why don't you just bleed your nose a bit?" Clyde said.

Lincoln thought about it, it wasn't a bad idea, but what if he couldn't stop it?

"Oh, yeah, I think I can give it a shot" Lincoln said without much confidence in it.

Lincoln sat up right on the bed, he started to focus. Picturing it, imagining the look of it on the outside as it was before.

Back home

Lynn Sr had set the table for dinner, the father had made something simple, just a soup with chicken and some vegetables. Once he had set the table.

"Kids! Dinner time!"

After those words came out his mouth, everyone had rushed from where they were into the dining room. They sat down the nice smell of the soup. Everyone sat down. At least, they thought for a second.

"Where's Lincoln?" Lynn Sr asked.

"I don't know, he never called saying he would be back home, maybe-" Rita was cut off by the sound of the door opening.

Everyone looked at the door, seeing their brother walking in and noticing everyone looking at him...he saw them eyeing at the blood under his nose.

"Is your nose okay Linky?" Leni asked.

"Uh, yeah, when me and Clyde were walking home, my nose started to bleed, I had to go over to his house to have his dads take care of it" Lincoln explained casually as he sat down at the empty spot at the table.

"Oh, so you had it changed?" Lynn Sr asked his son, to which he nodded.

"Well, we're glad your home, everyone, dig in" Rita said.

Everyone started to eat...or drink the soup? They all enjoyed it, in the middle of having dinner, everyone talked to each other. Lincoln was sitting in between Luna and Lucy. Lucy turned to Lincoln.

"Hey Lincoln"

Lincoln nearly jumped a bit "Y-yeah Luce?"

"Can I talk to you before bed?" She asked him.

"What do you mean? Why not now" Lincoln asked his goth sister.

"Not here, in private" She said simply.

"Um, okay" He replied back.

Lucy smiled a little "Thank you"

They continued to have to dinner and talk to their family, just like they always do. Lincoln felt relieved that no one suspected a thing, the wrapping did look different as the gauze Clyde had was lighter than the paler kind the doctor gave him. But none the less, he seemed to be in the clear.

3 hours after

Everyone had dinner and went off to spend the rest of their night. After an hour or two, everyone was getting ready for bed, Lincoln sat on his bed, messing around with his cards, thinking of some other tricks he could do with them for his friends.

While in the middle of learning how to take a card facing down, then when lifting it up right, it changes. Even though someone would freak out by this, Lincoln felt perfectly calm about it. As he was practising, he heard a knock at his door.

"Lincoln?"

Lincoln lifted his head up and saw Lucy peeking her head into her brothers' room.

"Yeah" He replied back.

Lucy then stepped into his room, closing the door and walking up to him. Lincoln swivelled off the bed, facing Lucy.

Lincoln noticed Lucy was holding something in the palm of her hand.

"Lincoln, how come I found this at school?" She opened her hand...that had the gauze that dropped off his nose.

Lincoln felt like his heart dropped down into his stomach when he saw it.

"I um- it fell off? And after school I went to Clyde's house to get a new one?"

Lucy noticed the nervous tone Lincoln had in his voice. She didn't buy it one second.

"Lincoln, take the gauze off if that's the truth" She asked.

Lincoln immediately shook his dead "no, I can't-"

"Why not?" She asked him.

"Well...I don't want you to see how it looks" He told her.

"Lincoln, I can handle horror better than you, I'm sure a simple bruised nose is not going to be hard to handle" She said.

Lincoln was about to speak in defence...but couldn't think of anything to say. Lincoln admitted defeat.

"Alright, just...dont freak out, okay?" He asked Lucy.

"Lincoln, I won't be scarred for life" She said.

Lincoln sighed, he started to unwrap the gauze from his nose, he took it away, revealing his nose to Lucy.
