Hey everyone and welcome to the next chapter, first off, I'd like to say that chapters may be coming later than usual, not that I'm getting lazy or anything, but I have important work for school to focus on. It's not affecting me that much, but I'd rather mention it now as I'm afraid the chapters will come out later than usual, as I really need to focus on the work. With that being said, I hope you all enjoy the chapter and I'll see you at the end.

Lincoln stood in front of Lucy with his revealed nose to Lucy. Lucy raised her eyebrow and said.

"See, it doesn't look that bad" She said.

Lincoln's nose was bruised and swollen like last time. Lincoln was able to get his nose back to the same state as It was the last time...just not how he had planned?

Earlier

Lincoln was sitting on Clyde's bed, still trying to make his nose bleed, but it didn't work. Unfortunately for him, he had no luck.

Clyde stood in front of his best friend, watching him attempt to somehow make himself bleed. But after watching him try for what felt like hours, Clyde could tell Lincoln won't have any luck trying the idea.

He then decided to speak up "Lincoln? Buddy, I don't think that's going to work"

Lincoln stopped trying, admitting defeat in his attempt, but it was worth a shot. Lincoln looked up at his friend.

"You know what that means right?" Lincoln sighed.

Clyde realised what they had to resort to. But Clyde shook his head in denial.

"No, I'm not going to punch you in the nose"

Lincoln groaned as he fell back on the bed again. "Clyde, I don't know what else I'm gonna do"

"Maybe just have Lynn kick another ball at your face" Clyde suggested.

"Har har" Lincoln mocked as he sat back up to look at Clyde. An idea then popped into the 11-year-olds head.

"Do you have a ball?"

Clyde raised his eyebrow "Lincoln, I'm terrible at sports, what makes you think I have a ball"

Lincoln slapped his leg in slight anger "Dang it" He mumbled.

"Look, Lincoln, I think your just gonna have to go home with the gauze around your nose and just hope for the best" Clyde suggested.

"Yeah, but you know how my sisters can be if something seems off" Lincoln said.

"Well, maybe just hope they brush it off" Clyde said.

"Yeah, thanks for that" Lincoln hopped off the bed and grabbed his bag. "I'll radio you on the walkie if anything happens" Lincoln said as he was about to exit Clyde's room.

Just before Lincoln could reach the door knob- the door suddenly flew open, smacking Lincoln straight in the face and knocking him on the floor on his back.

"Hey Clyde, if Lincoln is staying do you think-" Clyde's dad Howard was the one who opened the door.

He noticed the white-haired boy on the ground...with a fractured looking nose that was bleeding.

"Harold! Bring the first aid kit!" He shouted for his husband.

Present

Lucy left her brothers room; Lincoln closed the door behind her.

"I hate my life sometimes" He mumbled under his breath.

Lincoln climbed under his bed covers, today was long and stressful, but he was glad it's over...at least until what tomorrow would be like.

Next morning

After a good night's rest, Lincoln woke up. He sat up and stretched, seeing the sunlight beam into his room through the window. Lincoln looked at his calendar and realised today was Saturday.

"Awesome" He said as he layed back down, enjoying the peace and quiet which will not last very long in the house on a Saturday.

Lincoln forced himself out of bed, he stood up and stretched his body. He opened his door and saw only Leni and Luan at in line for the bathroom. Lincoln walked up to the line to join them in line.

Luan sensed Lincolns presence behind her, she turned around to greet her brother.

"Morning Lincoln" She said ruffling his hair.

"Morning Luan" He replied back.

"How's your nose doing?" She asked him.

Lincoln almost groaned as he was hoping she wouldn't make a joke about it.

"It's alright, you did help with a little bit" He replied back.

"Oh, I nose Lincoln!" Luan said ending with her typical laugh, then she stopped "But seriously, let me know it starts to hurt again" She said turning back around.

"Will do Luan" Lincoln replied.

Lincoln continued to wait in line for the bathroom, Lori walked out and then Leni walked in. Around 20 minutes later, Leni walked out and even everyone else had woken up to wait in line too.

Thank god Lincoln didn't choose to get another few more minutes of sleep.

Later

Lincoln had his shower and his teeth brushed and everything. He was now in his room changing into his regular clothes. Lincoln noticed that he didn't take the gauze off to see if it was the same as before.

"I swear if it's not the same, I'm gonna hit my head against the wall" He mumbled to himself as he began to take the gauze off his nose.

Lincoln looked in his mirror and saw...it was thankfully the same as before. This made Lincoln sigh in relief as he didn't feel like going through the same situation again.

He wrapped his nose back up and left his room to go downstairs for breakfast.

As Lincoln got downstairs, he heard some commotion going on from the kitchen. (as if that's nothing new)

He walked in and saw his Lynn and Lori arguing about something. Lori was holding the milk carton they had and Lynn was holding a glass of milk...which looked kind of off.

"Oh my god Lynn, its literally spoiled, can't you smell it?" Lori said annoyingly at her sister.

Lynn smelt the milk "It seriously doesn't smell that bad Lori" Lynn argued back.

Lori then spotted Lincoln at the corner of her eye; she crooked her finger at him.

Lincoln walked over.

"Lincoln, smell" She said as she held the milk carton at him.

Lincoln hesitantly took it and smelt the milk; he got a whiff of a spoiled scent from the carton.

"Yeah" He said handing the carton back to Lori "It's spoiled Lynn" Lincoln sided with Lori which made her smirk at Lynn.

Lynn rolled her eyes and dumped the milk down the drain.

"Well, now I can't have cereal without milk" Lynn said.

Lincoln almost gave an 'aw' sound as he felt like having cereal instead of a cooked breakfast.

Lori put the carton on the counter then walked away to let mom and dad know they need milk. Lynn looked in the fridge to find something else.

Lincoln looked at the carton of milk, he then got an idea. He walked over to the carton. He picked up it and looked at the date on the carton. It read the expiration date has passed by a few days. Lincoln looked over at Lynn who was busy looking in the fridge for whatever. Lincoln took the opportunity to do what he had in mind.

He pictured in his mind that the milk was fresh instead of spoiled. As he imagined it, he took a smell of the milk. He then realised that he had to take the gauze off his nose to smell it, he took it off just so his nostrils can smell the milk, It still smelt bad...but then it started to smell a whole lot better now.

"Yes" He whispered under his breath.

"Good to see your nose still works"

Lincoln nearly jumped and immediately putting the gauze back on, he turned his head to see Lynn noticed him smelling the milk.

"You don't like the smell of out of date milk, do you?" Lynn joked with a slight snigger.

Lincoln rolled his eyes "No, the milk smells perfectly find to be honest"

"That's what i said" Lynn said.

Lori came back with her phone in hand "Mom and dad are at the grocery store; they were out of stuff for breakfast so I let them know we need milk" She said as she pocketed her phone in her shorts.

Lynn took the carton from Lincoln "It seriously doesn't smell bad Lori"

Lori rolled her eyes in annoyance that Lynn was still at it with this.

"Then take a drink from It" She said with a smirk.

Lynn smiled as she took the same glass she had and poured herself a glass. Before she was about to take a sip, she suddenly stopped herself and then looked at Lincoln.

Lincoln raised his eyebrow from why she stopped "Something wrong?" He asked.

"You take a sip" She said as she held the glass out in front of her brother.

"Why?" He asked her.

"Do you want another broken nose" She said.

"But I only have one nose-"

Lynn then shoved the glass in front of Lincoln.

"Alright, fine" He said as he took the glass.

Lincoln then took a sip from the glass; the milk was perfectly fine. He looked at his sisters.

"See? It's perfectly fine" He said as he set the glass on the counter.

Lincoln took the carton and a bowl to pour himself a bowl of cereal.

Lynn and Lori were left staring at each other. Lori took the glass from the counter. "If this makes me throw up, I'm gonna pour this on your head"

Lynn didn't feel fear from her sisters' comment. Lori smelt the milk first, it really didn't smell as bad as it was before when she smelt it. Lori hesitantly took a small sip from the glass.

She swallowed. She then had a confused look after letting the milk go down her throat to her stomach.

"How the?" She said.

"Something wrong?" She asked her.

"This was just spoiled like 5 minutes ago"

"Maybe you your sense of smell it messed up" Lynn chuckled as she took the glass from Lori.

Lori stood there in confusion. She then looked at Lincoln who didn't seem bothered by the fact he could've drunk spoiled milk on purpose.

Later on, the parents returned from the grocery store. After having breakfast, Lincoln realised he didn't really have much to do Saturday. No doubt his sisters want to go to the mall. To kill time before that happens, Lincoln was in his bed, messing with his cards yet again. Trying some new stuff with them. The more he shuffled them, the more he got better at it, even with trying some new ways of shuffling.

Whilst he was in the middle of doing what he was doing. He heard a knock at the door. Before he could say anything, his door was pushed open anyway. Lincoln saw Lori was holding her purse, meaning she and everyone else were planning on going to the mall.

"Hey Lincoln, were going to the mall, come on" She said after leaving his room with the door still open. Guess he didn't really have much of a choice to come or not.

Before he could get off his bed and get ready, he turned his head to look back at the cards on his bed. He got a slight idea, if he had Lynn and Leni in the back of the van with him, they wouldn't really mind if he messed around with his cards. Lynn already knows about it and Leni would be distracted with her magazine. That's if she brings one to read...nah she always does.

Lincoln grabbed his cards and pocketed them. He walked out his room and downstairs to see the girls walking out to the van as they talked about their plans for when they arrive. Before Lynn and Leni jumped in the van, Lincoln managed to catch them before they stepped in.

"Hey guys?" Lincoln got their attention.

Lynn and Leni stopped themselves before they hoped in the van.

"You guys want to sit in the back with me?" He asked them.

Lynn and Leni looked at each other. "Sure, I guess" Lynn said.

"I don't think the three of us can fit there" Leni said as she pointed to the...front of the van.

"No Leni, that's the front" Lincoln corrected.

"Oh! Sorry" Leni said.

Lincoln and Lynn slightly chuckled at their sister's mistake, not in a mean way but Leni laughed slightly too. The three siblings hopped in the back. They buckled up and were now off to the mall.

Lincoln was sitting to the right, next to Lynn who was sitting in the middle of Lincoln and Leni. Lincoln saw Leni pulled out a fasion magazine from under the seat, he remembered whenever she reads a magazine, she always throws it under the seat for some reason.

With hearing some arguments and small fights going on in front, Lincoln took the moment to take his cards out of his pocket. Lynn saw what her brother was up to, instead of saying anything which would cause everyone to look behind them, she kept her mouth shut and just watched.

Lincoln noticed this and gave her a smile of appreciation. He started to shuffle the cards and turned to Lynn.

She looked at him and gave a nod at the cards which looked like she was saying 'pick a card?' which made Lincoln chuckle a little.

Lynn picked a card out and Lincoln started to cut the deck he had in half and motioned for Lynn to place the card on top of one of them. She did so and Lincoln started to go through the cards, looking through them. He picked out a card he felt drawn to, he showed Lynn to which she raised her eyebrows.

"Not bad stincoln" She said.

Lincoln didn't seem pleased with her reaction though. Lincoln's eyes suddenly directed to the window next to him. He looked at the card and got a slight idea.

He rolled the window down, and looked at Lynn who was about to question what her brother was planning to do that involved opening the window.

He held the card up and immediately flicked it out the window. Lynn's mouth nearly dropped open to what he did.

"Why did u do that?" She asked him.

Lincoln took the card off the top deck, he flipped it up, showing Lynn's card.

"What the f-"

"Were here"

Lori pulled into the parking lot for the mall.

Lincoln pocketed the cards and got out the van. Before they could all walk together to the mall, Lincoln felt his arm pulled. Lynn pulled Lincoln away from the others so they could get some privacy.

"How did you do that?" She asked him.

Lincoln caught himself about to actually tell her, but that's when he stopped himself and instead said.

"A magician never reveals their secrets"

Lincoln smiled after saying that and continued walking behind his sisters, Lynn felt like wanting to punch him, but she couldn't. They walked into the mall, immediately, Lincoln could sense that at some point he's gonna have Lilly handed to him. Luan was holding Lilly, so as best as he could, Lincoln moved away from her so she couldn't direct her eyes at him. Everyone started to talk about where they were wanting to go and where they should meetup. Lincoln thought about maybe looking around and thinking of anything he could do instead of holding bags, which he wasn't too confident on avoiding. Lincoln spotted a store that-

"Hey Lincoln"

Lincoln heard a familiar voice, he turned around to see Luan holding Lilly.

"Um, hey Luan" He said.

"I know you always hold Lilly when we go to the mall, so..."

Lincoln felt like saying 'dammit' but since Lilly was here, that was a no no. Lincoln rolled his eyes and held his arms out for Lilly.

"What are you doing?" Luan asked him.

"Well since I always hold Lilly when we go to the mall, I can only assume you want me to hold her now" He answered.

Luan giggled a little "No Lincoln, I was gonna say that I'm okay with holding her, you don't have to this time"

Lincoln perked up from hearing that, maybe today will go smoothly. Lori then got her siblings attention.

"Alright you guys, now meet back here at 4, I don't want to hunt you all down" She joked, which was a first.

Everyone nodded and then walked away. Lincoln still stood in her place as this was probably the first time, he had the option to actually do something in the mall with his sisters.

Lincoln looked around and started to just walk around and find a store to have a look in or whatever. As he walked past the stores, none of them had interested him.

As Lincoln walked past the different stores which didn't interest him the slightest. Now from feeling bored of the mall, he thought maybe he should've just stayed home, the mall doesn't really seem like the place for him. But since he didn't really have a way to get home other than maybe walk (which would take longer) Lincoln decided to just go to the arcade instead. He walked in the direction he knew the arcade was in, he walked for a little bit and before he could see the arcade in his eyesight, Lincoln saw a small crowd gathered around something. Being a curious 11-year-old, Lincoln joined the crowd to see what they were gathered around.

Lincoln was looking at a man with a small folded table, on the table were a few cards. A woman who looked mid 50s was in front of the table, the unknown man hovered his hand above the few cards while looking into the women's eyes. Lincoln saw that as the man hovered over the cards, woman's eyes watching as he did. He then stopped his hand over one card. He flipped the card under his hand, showing the card. The women's eyes widened a bit.

The man then spoked up "Is that it?" He asked her.

"Yes" She replied and started to clap for the man, as did everyone else watching.

Lincoln was surprised to see someone else perform magic in the mall for others. He applauded for the man too.

"Thank you for helping me ma'am" He said as he gathered the cards.

"Anyone else want to see more?" He asked them.

Everyone including Lincoln replied 'Yes'. The man smiled and scanned the people in front of him, that's when he spotted Lincoln.

"Hey, younge boy? Can you help me?" He asked Lincoln.

Lincoln was surprised, but didn't hesitate to come forward to join him. The man who stood taller than Lincoln, started to shuffle the cards, he then placed them on the table and spread them out.

"Now" He started "I need you to pick out one card, take a look and put it back in the deck, okay?"

"Okay" Lincoln replied.

The man turned around and gave Lincoln a thumbs up, signalling him to pick a card.

Lincoln took a look at the cards and then at random, he picked out one card and looked at it. Lincoln then showed the audience his card and then put it back.

"Done?" The man asked Lincoln.

"Done" He replied back to him.

He turned around and picked up all the cards.

"Now, I'm going to try and find your card, do you have it remembered?"

Lincoln nodded.

The older man started to take the cards one by one and placed them on the table face up and kept going. He placed down what seemed like to be 32 cards. After reaching 32, he stopped before placing down the 33rd card, he then flipped the card over, the card was the 4 of hearts. Lincoln looked at the man and he looked to be confident about his choice.

The 4 of hearts is actually Lincoln's card. He then clapped and so did everyone else. But before the man could put the cards away, Lincoln stopped him.

"Can I try something?" He said.

The man looked confused from the 11-year-olds words. He nodded and gave Lincoln the cards. The audience didn't leave as they were also curious from what the white-haired boy was up to.

Lincoln held the cards out to the magician; Lincoln was attempting a trick on the magician. The magician took a card from the deck, he looked at it, Lincoln nodded back at the deck for him to put it back. He did as Lincoln wanted, leaving Lincoln to do the rest.

Lincoln shuffled the cards and gave the deck back to the magician.

"Look through the deck and tell me if you can see your card" Lincoln asked him to do.

The man had a raised eyebrow, but he was curious to see how this would go. The magician started to go through the cards, trying to find the card he picked out earlier. Lincoln watched as the man went through the cards, he couldn't find it.

He looked up from the deck, even more confused.

"I don't see it" He said.

Lincoln smiled just a bit. He turned around and looked at the woman who was in his trick earlier. He saw she had a handbag.

"Excuse me miss?" Lincoln asked her.

She stepped forward.

"Yes?" She replied.

"Can you reach into your handbag and pull out your purse?" Lincoln asked.

The woman was taken back from his demand. But seeing as it might be needed for the trick, she complied and reached in and pulled her purse out.

She nearly handed the purse to Lincoln before he stopped her.

"Open it" He asked.

The woman opened her purse and looked inside, as did everyone else. Their eyes widened.

The mid 30's lady pulled out...a folded-up card. She unfolded it and handed it to Lincoln. Lincoln then gave it to the man.

"Is that your card?" He asked him.

The man took a look at the card...his face turned ghost white. He looked at Lincoln and without using his voice, he could only mouth the word 'yes'.

After hearing those words, Lincoln heard the group of claps behind him. Lincoln then felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He took it out and saw Lori was calling. He answered.

"Hello?" He said.

"Lincoln, Lana's sick, we need to go home"

"What happened?" He asked.

"Well, someone threw a half-eaten hot dog in the trash can in the food court and she dived and ate it, first time she's probably gotten sick from eating something from the trash"

Lincoln felt like laughing, but couldn't as it would be mean enough.

"Alright, I'm coming" He pocketed his phone.

He noticed everyone was asking questions of how he did the trick, the magician who was standing in front of him was just speechless.

"I got to go, sorry!" Lincoln said as he ran off.

Everyone was still surprised, not having their questions answered, they turned to the magician.

"Do you know how he did it?" One of them asked.

All the man could do was say "I have no idea"
