Enjoy Chapter 7. :D Caution: There is little blood on it.
Yuma is caught by the Lava Howl and is taken to the volcano where the newborns are going to hatch and start their feeding. The Lava Howl's home is inside the volcano and what's worst that is where their goal is: Lava Flame. But it is now a problem because Yuma is taken and will be eaten and with all the tasks they must do it will be difficult.
"Yuma is taken." Tetsuo said in disbelief.
"This is not good." Sota said. "Yuma is going to be a kid's menu."
"Not the time to make jokes." Alito said.
Then Black Mist snickered, "kid's menu…I get it. Anyway we need to hurry. Astral is following the dog so we are now on our own. We should be able to get Yuma, get the flame and not try to get eaten alive." Black Mist said.
They agreed with Black Mist and they start running to Boomga Volcano in a fast pace.
It is dark... What is going on?
"Yuma."
A voice…
"Yuma!"
Is that?...
"Wake up, Yuma!"
Yuma open his eyes and saw Astral in his view.
"Astral?" Yuma moaned as he rubs his head in pain where he got hit and knocked out.
"Ah good, you're not hurt." Astral said as he took a breath out of relieve.
"Where are we?" Yuma ask.
"Looks like we are in Boogma Volcano" Astral said Yuma looked around saw that they are in a carter of the volcano. He also saw that he is in a cliff where it is in the side of the carter. He is also on a nest where the Lava Howl is.
Yuma look at the edge and saw lava. He gasped when he saw the flame. "Hey, that is the fire." Yuma said. He saw the lava and fire spouts out of the lava like seedlings that are ready to grow.
"That must be the fire what we're looking for and we can use to-" Yuma is about to get down until he felt like he stepped on something. He looked at the bottom of his feet and saw skeletons of people and animals. Yuma shout in surprise and shock. Yume went backwards and felt something on his back He looked and saw two orange eggs and saw a shadow that look like a mini Lava Howl. "Yuma, that is Lava Howl hatchling and it looks like it is going to hatch any second." Astral said. Yuma nodded as he tries to jump off but it is hard to find something solid to land on. "I am trapped…Now what?" Yuma said with a worried voice.
Black Mist, Tetsuo, Sota and Alito are climbing their way to the volcano.
"Guys, what if it's too late? What if Yuma has already been eaten?" Tetsuo said with worry.
"No, don't say that! We will get there and save Yuma. Plus, this is Yuma we are talking about. There is no way we will go down without a fight." Sota said.
Tetsuo then felt positive that Yuma is going to be all right. "No, you're right. He will be all right. Let's go." Tetsuo said as he picks up the pace and then there was an earthquake.
"What?" Alito and the others wonder what is going on.
The grounds cause the kids to fall and saw it rising. It took form of golem made of rock.
"Oh dear." Sota whispered. The golem raise it's fist and slam at the ground cause the earth to split.
"Oh we are dead. How is going to save us now?" Sota said. Alito step up and raise his fists. "I got this." Alito said with fire in his eyes. He runs to the golem. The golem raises its fist and Alito did the same and they slam at them. Alito's fist stops Golem's fist and then he jumped and use his other fist punch the golem in the face.
The powerful punch causes the golem's face to crumble and collapsed on the floor. "Wow, that is amazing." Sota praised him.
"Yeah, you are strong as Yuma said." Tetsuo said. Alito blushed by Tetsuo and Sota's commands. "You don't have to say that." Alito said with a smile. He try to hide the happy feelings but isn't really good at it.
"We are saved thanks to you. But we don't have must time to stop." Black Mist said. They start running again to save Yuma.
Meanwhile at the nest, Yuma crossed his legs and thinking really hard to find his way to lava to get the fire and save him from being eaten.
'Come on, what to do..." Yuma said to himself as he's thinking.
Yuma is thinking a way to get out of here until he heard a crack. He looked behind him and saw the eggs hatching.
"Oh no..." Astral said in a quiet voice and looked at Yuma. "Yuma you have to get out of here. You are good at rock climbing.
"I know, but I need to get the flame first." Yuma said. He took a stick from the nest and start climbing down. Astral is shocked that Yuma is getting the flame before running for his life. But that what Yuma is and he is graceful for Yuma's strong heart and spirit for what he does for his friends.
Yuma carefully went down and avoid the rings of fire and lava splatter. He went down and landed on a piece of rock that is floating in the lava. He then took the stick and put it in the lava spout and then the flame appeared.
"Got it." Yuma said. Then there are eggshells that fell out of the air. Yuma looked up and saw Lava Howl pups climbing down. They saw Yuma and start to prey on him. They growl as they looked at him as their meal.
"This is not good." Yuma said. "Climb up!" Astral said. Yuma nodded and start climbing as Astral told him. Yuma is a really good climber, he is half way there. Then he heard something and looked down. The pups are climbing up after him.
Yuma saw the pups climbing but they are faster than him.
Astral looked and saw they are close. "Yuma, look out." Astral warned. Yuma looked and gasped as the pup are close. Yuma shoot his eyes close. Then there was a blast and it hit the pups off the wall and they fall in the lava.
Yuma and Astral looked and saw White Maiden Sorceress and she went up to Yuma and grabbed him and floats out of the volcano.
They got out of the volcano and went to the top. There, they met up with the Alito, Tetsuo, Sota and Black Mist.
"Yuma. Thank god, you are alright." Tetsuo said.
"I am alright." Yuma said.
"We are glad, you guys made it if you didn't Yuma would have been eaten." Astral said. "Thank you." Everyone is glad that the worst is over.
But then, there is a roar behind them and they saw the Lava Howl parents.
"Oh man, now we have to deal with the parents. Can things get worst?" Sota said. The pups got out of the volcano. It looks like the Lava Howls can survive in the lava. They joined their parent in the hunt.
"I spoke too soon, did I?" Sota said to Black Mist. Black Mist nodded yes.
The parents and pups start getting close to Yuma and the others. They go in a circle that protects them at each side.
Astral called his Number 39, Black Mist called Number 96, Sota, his White Maiden Sorceress, Yuma, his Future Number and Alito his legendary Number Lion Heart.
"Ok, what should we do?" Yuma ask.
"I have a plan." Black Mist said. Everyone blinked as Black Mist said. "We need to get the pups out of here and lure the adult ones out of the island plus it should get the people in peace." Everyone open their mouths in shock.
"Oh my god. I can't believe I'm saying this. Black Mist, that is a good idea." Astral said. "Ok, so how are we going to do that?" Astral ask Black Mist.
"Sota, you and I will deal with the pups." Black Mist said. "Alito, Astral and Yuma, you guys hold the parents off as we move them."
"Ok. Got it. We are counting on you for this to work, Black Mist." Yuma said. He have to trust Black Mist even he doesn't fully trusted but he knows that their lives are on the line. He believes that he know what he is doing.
"Tetsuo, take the flame and hide." Yuma said to Tetsuo. Yuma handed him the stick with the flame. Tetsuo nodded and went to hide from the battle. The battle between the Lava Howls has begun.
Astral, Yuma and Alito start having their monster block the parents' way as Black Mist and Sota get the pups out of here.
The White Maiden Sorceress went to Number 96's side and a dark aura start surrounding White Maiden Sorceress.
'I use the effect of White Maiden Sorceress' effect when a dark type monster is in the field, I can change its form into a dark type." Sota explain.
White Maiden Sorceress is a support card. It can change into light type and dark type. It can also assist other monsters to help in battle. It is a weak fighting monster so it need a partner to help it battle. Black Mist learns about this ability when he fought with Sota at Earth.
White Maiden Sorceress turn into the Dark Mistress. She has black hair, purple dress with dark night cape and a spear.
"I use Dark Mistress' effect, she can summon a black hole and take enemies out." Dark Mistress summons a black hole and it start pulling the pups in the black hole. Then the pups went in the hole.
The parents saw what Dark Mistress done and they roar with rage. "We are heading to the shore, hold them off till we get there." Black Mist said.
Black Mist and Sota start running out of the top of volcano and run down to the edge of the island.
The parents are about to go after them but Hope, Future Hope and Lion Heart block their path. The dogs start to fight the Duel monsters. Hope swings he's sword at the mother dog. She blocks it by biting the sword. Future Hope uses its wings to make a shower of feathers to block the father dog's eyes. He then jumped and hit him but he dodged it in time.
The parents push the Hope duo out of the way until Lion Heart came in front of them and punch them back. Lion Heart landed a critical hit and the dogs hit the ground.
The Lava Howls got up and growl. Yuma, Alito and Astral are waiting for Black Mist's plan to start.
A little later after stalling- Astral then hear a voice.
"Astral. We are ready. Get the parents at the edge of the shore." Black Mist said to Astral in his mind.
"Alito. Yuma. We should get down the volcano and meet up with Sota and Black Mist." Astral said. Yuma and Alito nodded and start running.
"Tetsuo, let's go!" Yuma shout to him. Tetsuo got up with the flame and they start running down. The Lava Howls start running after Yuma, Alito, Tetsuo and Astral.
The boys are running as fast as they can but the dogs are behind them. Animals are faster than humans. The mother got close to Alito and she raises her claws and hit Alito.
"Alito!" Yuma yelled. Astral looked with a shock and concern look on his face. Tetsuo is shocked as he looked at Alito's assault. Alito went down and is hissed with pain. Blood pour down on his back and was bleeding as drops of blood went to the ground.
Astral called Hope again and it flies to Alito and use Moon Barrier to protect the next attack.
"Hope! Get Alito out of here!" Astral commanded. Hope pick up Alito and went high so the Lava Howls won't get him.
The dogs give up going after Alito and go after Yuma, Tetsuo and Astral instead. They start running again and until they saw Black Mist and Sota. They have Dark Mistress in position and looks like they are ready for the plan to start.
"Ok, now what?" Yuma ask. Black Mist looked at Sota and he nodded and got Dark Mistress summoned the black hole again and spit out the pups. They threw them at the edge towards the red lava sea. The parents saw their pups at the edge and passed Yuma and others and went to the pups' side.
The parents check the pups and see to if they are hurt. The pups woke up and are uninjured. The parents licked them out of happiness. They turn to Astral, Black Mist and the gang. They start their hunting mode again.
"NOW!" Black Mist yelled to Sota.
"Hit the ground!" Sota said to Number 96. It uses its long fingers and make the ground to crack and it make a piece of land like a boat between the main lands. It starts to float away.
The Lava Howl snarls loudly and angrily as they float away from the island. Till, they can't see them anymore.
Everyone can know breath easy. The plan is a success. Hope came back with an injured Alito.
"You did it." Alito said. Sota, Tetuso and Yuma went to him to check on him.
"Are you alright?" Yuma ask with worry.
"Yeah, it hurts but I'm fine." Alito said. They are glad that Alito is all right and they started to treat his wound.
"That's a good plan. I am impressed that you didn't use violence as an answer." Astral said to Black Mist. Black Mist huffed. "Doesn't matter, I did what I have to do." Astral smiled. "Is Sota rubbing on you?" Astral said with tease smile.
"Shut up!" Black Mist said as he turns his head.
'I think he is' Astral knows that something is changing Black Mist inside.
Later, at the village,
The lava people watched the flame purify the necklace. It turns bright as its color start to fade. The curse is weakening as it turned less dark. It is still dark but there is something different about the color but they are not so sure what it is.
"Good job of getting the flame and thank you for saving us. Now we can rebuild our home. We might have to visit our other people that live in different island so they can live here." The old man said.
"So, you guys, are rebuilding even what happen?" Yuma ask.
They nodded. "We will start over but it is sad on what happen to our people." The woman said with sad voice.
"Don't let that get to you. Good things will happen. You just have to work hard and it will come to you soon." Sota said. The people blinked on what Sota said. Black Mist and the others are surprise as well but they are happy that he says something positive about it.
"Thank you, we will and take care." The man said. With that the people left to start their new lives.
"Those are good words. Where did you get them?" Yuma ask. S
Sota smiled but it looks a little sad. "You can say that I have learn it when I was young." Sota said. Yuma wonders what he means but didn't push it farther.
"Let's go, home." Astral said. The others agree and left for Earth.
Meanwhile, a familiar woman has appeared and went blood is spilled. She got a vial and scoops the blood in it.
"Lucky, I got this without trouble. " Eris said. She then has a twisted smile appeared on her face. "Only five to go."
