Black Mist is shocked. Sota has no memory of his past. He doesn't know his real parents and how or what he was at the past. Black Mist think back on Sota when Black Mist and Sota's battle. He notice that Sota paused in talking when he said that he been dueling for two years. Does that mean he lost his memories then?
Astral put his hand on his shoulder. "Are you alright?" Astral ask.
Black Mist didn't say anything, he is deep thinking. He now thinks that he know less about him. It hurts him that he didn't know much about Sota. '
Sota, who are you?'
...'Do you trust me to tell me these things?'
Black Mist is hurt...
The room is now lifted and they are back at the forest. Yuma saw Tom running still. "There he is." Yuma said. They start chasing Tom again but Tom is still quick.
"Ponta, you are quicker than us. Stop him!" Girag said. Ponta nodded and start running after him. Ponta is so quick that he is behind Tom. But till later, they lost sight of them.
"Come on, we don't want to loss them?" Girag said. Everyone agreed and run after them.
Meanwhile, Sota is still chasing Tam up the stairs and finally got up the top of the stairs. Sota try to catch his breath but he saw Tam went inside the temple. Sota follow her inside and saw Tam at the middle of the room.
"Tam, are you alright?" Sota ask. Tam then smiled creepy. "Sota? Did you have fun?" The girl said but her voice is different than normal. In fact, it is familiar.
Sota is now in guard. "I think they went this way!" A voice is heard outside. The door opened and Yuma and his friends burst in.
"Sota, are you here? Good, you are alright." Yuma said. They saw Tam too. "Tam, you are good as well." Yuma ask.
"I am quite alright." Tam said. Yuma notice that Tam is acting weird as well. Yuma got a bad feeling about this.
"Everyone back away from her! There is something wrong with her!" Yuma said.
"Hehehe...You are correct, Yuma." Tam said. Sota now knows the voice.
"Eris!" Sota said. "Very clever!" Tam said but she is really Eris.
"Yes, as you see I have possessed this girl to get to close to you." Eris said as she pointed at Girag.
"Get Girag, out of here." Yuma ordered. Girag is about to leave but Eris said something. "You should not leave if you don't want your pet to get hurt." Eris said.
A shadow emerges out and it is Tom with Ponta on his grip. Ponta is unconscious.
"Ponta!" Girag yelled in concern for his friend.
"Girag, give me your blood or your friend will be road kill." Eris said. Eris possesses the boy as well. The twins are victims of Eris' scheme.
Girag look at Ponta as he sleeps from Eris' assault. Girag pump his hands in fists and know his answer.
"I will give you my blood." Girag said.
Tam (Eris) smiled, she walked up to him and took out a needle. Eris uses the needle and drains some of his blood. Eris smiled as she looked at it and walked back to the possessed Tom.
"Here is your pet back." Eris said. She uses her magic and throws Ponta. Girag caught him before he hit the ground. "Ponta..." Girag whispered. Ponta woke up and smiled.
"Look like I don't need these brats help." Eris said. The twins then collapsed as Eris exit their body. Eris is back in her original body. Eris looked around and saw the legendary monsters statues that once been held by the legendary duelist in history.
"This place sure has an impressive aura where the Duel Monster Spirit of legend lives. It is mysterious that the Dark Magician duo is alive. Guess it has to do with the spiritual energy in this world." Eris said.
Eris then has a sick evil grin. "Too bad, this place will be your grave." Eris said. She summons a really dark hole in the ground and cause the ground to shake. Yuma and the others feel uneasy about it and start running out of the temple. They went outside and the hole shallow the sanctuary and a dark figure start to emuge out of the hole.
It has scary eyes, creepy teeth, ram like horns and snake in its belly.
Dark Magician and Dark Magician gasped. They recognize the shadowy figure.
"Zorc!" Dark Magician Girl yelled.
"What is that?" Astral ask.
"Zorc is one of the most dangerous evil being centuries ago. His spirit is sealed in the underworld of the spirit world." Dark Magician explained. "Now that foolish being has opened the seal. If we don't seal it back it will exit the underworld and will find it's way to the real world and try to destroy the entire human world and duel monster world.
Dark Magician Girl knows what she must do. She put her hands together and prays.
"Duel Monsters of Legend, please here my call. We need your help." Dark Magician Girl prays.
There are four lights that appeared out of nowhere. They are the legendary duel monsters: Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Elemental Neos, Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Stardust Dragon.
"Everyone, please help us to seal Zorc again." Dark Magician Girl said. The legendary monsters agreed and they go into a circle and their chests turn bright until it turns brighter. Then there is a weird golden circle with weird symbols. It appeared in the ground and Dark Magician then start saying a chanting spell. It is the words that the others are not familiar with.
There is something that is appearing and it looks like a woman that shines golden. Then, Zorc has summoned black shadows and they start to attack the legendary monsters.
The shadow beings attack them and the circle that Dark Magician and the others summoning is closing.
Yuma without hesitation said, "Protect them so they can stop that thing!"
Yuma, Astral, Black Mist and Sota called their ace monsters. Girag also called his Number 64: Ronin Raccoon Sandayu.
"Protect them!" Astral said. Yuma and his friend's ace monsters start to attack the shadows to destroy them. White Maiden Sorceress blocks the shadows with her force field. Number 0 and Number 39 use their swords to cut them down as they faded away. Black Mist uses its claws to destroy them.
Number 64 use it shadow clones to multiply and take down the enemies more than the others.
The shadows are gone but the summoning is not going so well.
"There is too much dark energy in the air. It is hard to summon Horakhty." Blue Eyes White Dragon says.
"We need more help." Elemental Neos said.
Astral think that they can help. "Yuma, we need to help them with the summoning." Astral said to Yuma. Yuma is not sure but he follows his directions.
Number 0 and Number 39 went to the legendary monsters by their side and soon their chest turn bright. The circle turn brighter and something or someone start to exit the summoning circle. It is a tall woman that is in a golden armor.
Horakhty fights Zorc. Zorc then use it's darkness attack to cancel the attack. The snake in its belly attacks her and bit her. Horakhty screamed in pain.
Sota saw her in trouble and White Maiden Sorceress uses her magic to attack Zorc, but it didn't make mush effect. Black Mist knows what to do.
"Sota, Let's attack at once!" Black Mist said to Sota. Sota nodded and Number 96 and White Maiden Sorceress attack at the same time and their attack move mixing into black and white swirl attack. It hit Zorc and knocks him off of Horakhty.
Horakhty use this opportunity to attack Zorc. Horakhty spread her wings and attack Zorc and turn him into dust of darkness including the roaming spirits.
The dust of darkness is then sucked into the hole and it slowly closed. When the duty is done, Horakhty disappeared in sparks of light. The summon circle disappeared as well.
The legendary duel monsters are now taking it easy now that Zorc is sealed away again.
"That foolish girl nearly release one of the most evil villains in the history of duel monsters. He would destroy not only the spirit world but the real world as well if it escape." Dark Magician explain.
Astral gasped as he heard of that. "Is there other evil spirits besides him?" Astral ask.
"Yes. I am sure you are familiar with Don Thousand. He is one of them." Dark Magician explained. "We sealed him along with the other evil spirits that harm man kind and the spirit world. We keep them at bay but there are times when an evil force tries to revive them out of the spirit world to the real world. That is why we legendary heroes protect this world."
Astral understand they're responsible of protecting their world because they are the same. They need to protect their home just as Astral need to protect the Astral World.
Dark Magician Girl went to the fallen twins. "They are unconscious but alive. They have rough time being used like that." Dark Magician Girl said as she put them in her arms. They are so small and light, she can carry them both.
"Astral. Yuma. I must warn you that if Don Thousand is revive. He won't just destroy the Astral World but the entire galaxy. He must not be revived." Dark Magician said.
Astral and Yuma couldn't agree more. They must prevent Don Thousand to be revived.
"But let me tell you this. He will shallow the Astral World whole along with the Earth. But the only way to defeat Don Thousand is the power of a newfound friendship. " Dark Magician predicts.
The gang wonders what he means. They will know when the time is right.
"It is time for you to return to the real world. Please protect our worlds." Dark Magician said. Yuma and his friends nodded, as they want to keep that promise.
Dark Magician Girl handed the twins to them and the Dark Magician duo wave their wands to teleport Yuma and his friends back to the real world.
Yuma open his heavy eyelids as he looked at his surroundings. He saw that he is at the real world. The air is normal and there is no wrap. The others wake up. Roku and his apprentice, Kaze look at them with concern.
"Are you kids alright?" Kaze ask.
"Yes." Yuma answered.
They saw the twins lying on the ground. Yuma and his friends went to them to see if they are okay. They looked around.
"What are we doing at the Duel Sanctuary?" Tam said in confusion.
"We are here for the event." Tom said.
"What, didn't you know? We started the event and you guys are acting like zombies." Flip explained.
Tam and Tom are confused. They try to think really hard to what they know.
"Now I think about it before we started. We did encounter a strange woman." Tom explained.
'Strange woman?" The gang said. It must be Eris.
"It started when we are on our way here." The twins start to explain what happen.
******Flashback*****
Tom and Tam are walking to attend to the spiritual quest at the Duel Sanctuary. They saw a woman with green skin sobbing. The twins think she is in trouble so they walk up to her to ask what is wrong.
"Miss, what's wrong?" Tam asks.
Eris is in tears and say, "I am in trouble." Eris said.
"What is wrong?" Tom said.
"I want something and they won't help me." Eris said.
"What do you mean?" Tom asks.
"My friends just don't want to help." Eris said.
"Really?" Tom said. The twins are concern on what is wrong. They both nodded to help Eris. "We will help. What do you want us to do?"
Eris has her hands in her face but they didn't see a small evil smile in her face.
"I need your body." Eris said. The twins are confused but Eris grabs their wrists and then their minds are blank.
*****End of Flashback*****
"That all we can remember." Tom said. Tam nodded as well. Eris possesses them and causes them not to remember what they are doing when being possessed.
"Well, it's over and you are alright and that's what counts." Yuma said.
"Yeah, oh!" Tam remembers something. "We have to go! Our parents might get worried if we don't get home on time. Bye." With that the twins leave.
Yuma and the gang are glad that the twins are all right.
"Yuma, this is bad." Astral said. Yuma looked at Astral.
"Eris got Girag's blood. There is something going on and I am sure that it is involved with Don Thousand's revival." Astral said. Yuma believe Astral is right.
"The Barians were Don Thousand's source of his power. He even absorb them back at the past." Astral explain. But they are human now. Why would he still be after them?" Yuma ask."
"They still have blood flow in them by there reincarnated past lives." Astral explain. "She got Shark and Girag's blood now..." Astral is uneasy.
"Now I think of it." Black Mist remembers something. "Do you remember, that Alito got hurt cause him to bleed and plus that bat that suck Rio's blood. It is possible that Eris got their blood as well."
The gang gasped. "Which means she got Rio and Alito's blood as well." Sota gasped. Which means there is three left that she didn't get. The ones are left are Durbe, Mizael and Vector." Girag said.
Yuma bit his lip. "She is close to reviving Don Thousand." Yuma said. He is worried that Eris is close to achieving her goal.
"Don't worry, we will stop her." Astral said. "We will do it without failing."
Yuma smiled and get his convicted back. "You are right."
Later, it is the end of the spiritual training and it was time to go home.
"That was fun." Sota said. Yuma nodded. "We should do it again." Yuma said with a smile.
Black Mist want to ask Sota something. He wants to ask him what he discovered at the spirit world. Black Mist bit his lip. Astral saw Black Mist's expressions. 'Is he going to ask him about Sota's memories?' Astral thought.
"Sota." Black Mist said. Sota looked at Black Mist. "Yeah."
Black Mist is ready to take that chance. "Sota, is it true that you are adopted."
Sota's eyes turn big and his expression is in shock. "How do you know?" Sota ask.
"Sota, I saw your memories when we are at the spirit world where we saw your memories." Black Mist explains. "That you are adopted and you don't know who or what you are when at a young age?" Black Mist question.
Sota's head is down and bit his lip. "You shouldn't have gone that!" Sota yelled. His voice is full of angry.
Astral, Black Mist and Yuma are shocked on his behavior.
"Don't be mad at Black Mist, we just walk in. We are sorry." Yuma try to calm him down.
Sota then went in silent. "Black Mist, I don't want to talk about it." Sota said with a bit of angry. Yuma and Astral blinked on what Sota says.
"What do you mean?" Black Mist said.
"You better not say it again." Sota said with a mean tone.
"Why would you do that just because I looked at your memories?" Black Mist said.
"Yeah and you know what else! I saw your memories!" Sota yelled back.
"You saw my memories! "Black Mist said.
"Yeah, and you are not the one to criticize me." Sota said.
Black Mist and Sota are glaring each other with angry. Yuma and Astral are concern by this.
"Fine. I don't have to bother you anymore." Black Mist huff. Black Mist entered Sota's necklace like Astral does. Sota leaves without saying goodbye to Yuma and Astral.
Astral and Yuma looked as they saw something that is rare between Sota and Black Mist.
"This is going to be a problem." Yuma said. Astral nodded and he couldn't agree more.
It is the summer so maybe the chapters will go a bit faster.
