Sota is still sitting at the cave full with crystal mirrors thinking about the things Lulu is talking about. Time has pass and Sota is not sure how long he has been staying here.
'What should I do? Will I manage to tell him how I feel?' Sota is having these questions running in his head. There a small wind in the cave.
"What is this?...wind?" Sota went outside the cave and saw a tornado at a long distance. "Whoa! A tornado!" Sota said in shock.
"That must be the tornado that appears every 1000 years. It contains the Swirling Wind, you need." Lulu said. Dumon then appeared.
"Hey, Dumon." Sota greets.
"Sota, we got a trouble!" Dumon shouted with concerned. Sota is wondering what is wrong. "The tornado is where Yuma and the others are!"
Sota is shocked when he heard when his friends is where the tornado. Then Sota looked as the tornado is still going. "Let's go, help them." Sota said. Then Dumon summoned his Sky Pegasus and rode it towards the tornado where Yuma and the others are.
At Yuma's side, Yuma is watching in horror and saw the tornado pop out of nowhere. "This tornado is huge!" Yuma said as he watch. The strong winds are strong that Yuma that to hold on to a tree to not get pulled in by the tornado.
"Yuma!" A voice is heard.
"Astral!" Astral is connecting Yuma with telepathy.
"We are in trouble!" Astral said.
"Yeah, no kidding! This is a strong tornado!" Yuma said.
"Have you seen Black Mist?" Astral ask.
Yuma's eyes turn big in surprise. "What Black Mist is missing?" Yuma said.
"Yes." Astral said. Yuma looked at the tornado head in a different distance.
"Where are you, Black Mist?" Yuma whispered.
Meanwhile, Milo and Black Mist are running for their lives as the tornado is heading for them.
"Out of all the bad lucks, I have on my life. This one bites." Black Mist said in panic. The duo tries their best to get out of here. The wind is starting to get stronger until Black Mist and Milo got sucked in the tornado.
"AAAHH!" Black Mist shouted as the winds felt like it is tearing apart.
Astral saw Black Mist and the man ran away being taken by the tornado as he heard Black Mist screaming.
Black Mist is struggling to be free by flying but it is no use. 'Is this really going to end...?" Black Mist thought as negative thoughts are in his mind. 'I'm doing to die...'
Black Mist closes his eyes until he heard a neigh. He looked and saw Sota and Dumon riding Sky Pegasus.
"Black Mist!" Sota yelled. Sota use his hand and try to reach Black Mist and he got his hand and Milo's.
"Got you!" Sota got him and they flew away from the tornado and landed near where Yuma and Astral are.
"You are alright, Black Mist." Astral said in relief. Black Mist nodded. "Thanks to Sota." Sota has a small smile.
Yuma looked at the tornado that is still spinning in a furious pace. "We have to get a piece of the Swirling Wind, but I don't see it..." Yuma said.
"You have time." A voice is heard and they turn and saw Lulu. "If you concentrate on the energy in the tornado, you can see it." Lulu explains.
They follow her advice as they look at the tornado. They then saw something in the tornado. They saw a silver swirl of wind.
"There is a silver wind in that black tornado." Yuma said. "Yes, I see it too." Sota said.
"So you get close to it in order to get that wind." Lulu said. "It will be hard because this tornado will tear you guys apart."
"Even so we still need to get that wind." Sota said. Sota then called White Maiden and she carry him in her arms. "Let's go." Sota commanded.
Black Mist then called his Number.
"Black Mist, what are you doing?" Sota ask.
"I'm helping. What do you think?" Black Mist said.
Sota sighed, "Alright, just try to keep up." Sota said.
Black Mist smiled in a confident smile. "I can say the same to you."
Sota, Black Mist and their partners flew towards the tornado.
They saw the silver wind swirling along with the dark winds of the tornado. It is hard to keep up to find the Swirling Wind.
"Black Mist, in order to find it, we need to get in!" Sota said.
Black Mist looks at Sota like he is crazy. "Are you crazy?!" Black Mist shouted.
"Yes, I'm crazy but it is the only way to get them." Sota explain. Black Mist sighed. "You're right...We are going in but if we die I blame you." Black Mist said.
Sota nodded as their monsters make their way towards the tornado. Sota and Black Mist are trying their best to hold their monster so they don't fly away. Sota then try to open his eyes so he can find the Swirling Wind.
Sota looked and saw the silver wind. "Get closer, White Maiden." Sota said. White Maiden nodded and draws closer as the wind almost on Sota's grasp.
"I can't reach it." Sota said. Black Mist begins to notice that are picking up speed.
"Black Mist!" Astral's voice is heard. "What's wrong?" Black Mist asks in his mind.
"The tornado is starting to get more dangerous and not just that it is strong enough to lift trees and rocks." Astral explain.
"What!?" Black Mist said as he looked in pure horror. "Sota! We have to get out of here!" Black Mist warned Sota.
"No! I am getting it no matter what!" Sota said as he is still reaching for the silver wind. Sota then notice that he is loose from his grip start getting sucked in."AAAAHHHH!" Sota is being carried away.
"Sota!" Black Mist yelled in horror as his partner is being carried away by winds of death.
"Don't worry, Sota! I'm coming!" Black Mist jumped off of his monster and tries to fly to him. Sota saw Black Mist and they try to get to their hand by it went through.
"Oh no! I can't touch you!" Sota said. Black Mist bit his lip. What are they going to do?
"Sota!" Astral and Yuma said in his mind. "Sota, we need you to get the wind! Maybe it would weakened the seal and maybe Black Mist can get you!"
Sota know what they are getting at. "Got it!" Sota said. He went to get to the Swirling Wind as he tries to reach when swimming in the tornado. Sota looked edge as he looked until he saw a familiar silver lining wind. He try and then he grab it and put it close to his chest as he also golden necklace turn almost pure gold.
Black Mist saw the shine and try to grab Sota again. This time is worked! Black Mist holds on to Sota's hand. "Number 96! White Maiden!" Black Mist yelled. Number 96 and White Maiden grabbed Sota and Black Mist and went back where Yuma and Astral is.
"You guys are alright!" Yuma yelled in relief. They hand on to tough trees as they saw the tornado went to the open seas and it disappear in sight as it went towards the ocean.
"How long will that tornado go on?" Yuma ask.
"About 500 years." Milo answered.
"500 years!" Everyone yelled in shock.
"Yeah, indeed that it appears 1,000 year but it last 500 years. But is a miracle you guys survive one by this natural disaster." Lulu said calmly.
"You are perfectly calm about it!" Black Mist yelled in annoyance that Lulu is calm about it.
"Well, we got the Swirling Wind, might as well get going." Astral said. Everyone nodded by when heading back Sota has something in his mind.
When they are about to broad the Different Dimension Airship, Sota looked down and ready to talk.
"Black Mist, wait." Sota said as he put his hand on Black Mist's shoulder. "We need to talk." Black Mist blinked as he saw Sota's eyes. They are mix of fear and sadness. Black Mist nodded. "Okay."
"Yuma. Dumon. Astral. We need to hold on the departure. Can you wait?"
Yuma and Astral think what is going on and smiled. "Sure, take your time." Astral said. Then, Black Mist and Sota went to a different location to talk in private.
They are now in grassland with lush greens and hills as the winds are blowing gently.
Sota sat down on the hill as Black Mist float as they look at the scenery. There was a silent until...
"So." Both of them said at the same time.
"Oh, you first." Black Mist said.
"No, you first." Sota said.
"No, you." Black Mist said forcefully.
"Okay... I'm sorry." Sota said. "I'm sorry that I yelled at you for looking at my memories,"
Black Mist sighed. "It's alright plus I'm at fault to ask about it."
"The reason that I brought up about you're memories is so you don't question about them." Sota explain.
"I see. You're right, it is not my place to know but, if you are ready, you can tell me anytime." Black Mist said with a sad little smile.
Sota nodded. "But it is best if I tell you so listen carefully." Sota said with a serious look on his face. Sota took deep breaths.
"When I was thirteen...I never knew who are my parents or where I came from. The last thing I remember is that I woken up at Heartland City at a dock. The sky was dark and there was a world that I never seen before like two world ready to collide until then the skies are normal." Sota explain.
"You were at Heartland City?" Black Mist asked. Sota nodded "Yes, I was. But we moved as soon as I was adopted. So I never investigate my linage." Sota said. "I heard Yuma from the news and articles about him being one of greatest duelists in Heartland City and I was hoping to meet him and befriend."
"That idiot does make friends easy like as 1, 2, 3." Black Mist said with a smirk. Sota giggled. "But at the same time, I hoped that I find out how I am... So far, I don't remember." Sota has a sad look on his face.
"Do you remember anything?" Black Mist questioned. Sota close his eyes. "All I remember is that I am looking at a necklace similar to Yuma's and it turned into a person with wings now that I think about it." Sota said.
"Really?" Black Mist is surprised that he brought Yuma's Emperor's necklace and Yuma's and Astral's Zexal form. "Maybe you're memory is connected to the Astral World." Black Mist explains.
"You think so." Sota ask. Black Mist nodded. "I promise you that we will find out." Sota smiled. Sota stand up. "We should get back. As Sota start walking, Black Mist grab his hand. Sota look at Black Mist.
"What's wrong?"
"Sota...If you have something in your mind...Please tell me and I will try to help. After all... we are partners." Black Mist said with a gentle voice. Sota blinked but so a bright smile appeared. "Okay, as a partner, I will tell you my problems." Sota said. Black Mist made a small but pure smile, as he is like...glad that Sota tells him.
After a while, they went back to the airship.
"We're back!" Sota shouted back. Yuma and Astral saw Sota's smile and it is a real smile.
"It is a good thing that you two made up." Yuma said. Sota nodded. "It is about time, I mean it is troublesome that you two are making this hard on yourselves." Astral said.
"Yeah, Yeah, what are you, the mom?" Black Mist said with his eyes rolled.
"We should get home." Astral added. Everyone is about to head back until they saw a golden light heading their way. It landed and it was Mizael, another former Barian Emperor and Kaito's fellow's dragon master.
"Mizael, what are you doing here?" Dumon ask.
"We are in trouble!" Mizael looks like he is out of breath.
"What's wrong?" Dumon wondered.
"Eris is causing trouble at the Astral World!" Mizael said.
Everyone is in shocked when they heard the news.
