Haneoka Eimi was cooking dinner for her family as she smiled about, feeling very happy. She was glad that she had a family to cook for and to talk to as she had never imagined that she would have fallen in love with Haneoka Genichiro. She was glad that she did, though. A beautiful marriage resulted and so did their beautiful daughter, Haneoka Meimi. She was happy that she had found love.
Her thoughts were then taken over by the memories of her rival, Rosemary. She wondered how the woman was doing as the woman had left as soon as she stopped stealing. She hoped that the woman was able to settle down but she knew that with the woman's personality, no one wouldn't want to deal with that. Eimi hated to be mean or rude but Rosemary wasn't nice at all. She was too rude, too violent in her actions and ways. She didn't care if people got hurt if she was stealing things from them. Rosemary didn't hide it, either. She was proud of her vile actions and that was what disgusted Eimi the most about Rosemary.
She took pride in hurting others.
Eimi was mean but she hated when other people got put in danger because of her. That was why she always went back to see if anyone was hurt. She never wanted anyone to die because of her.
While she was thinking about her past, Genichiro walked over to her and turned off the stove and he gently placed his hand on her shoulder, whispering to her. "It's alright, darling. You can come back to me now." He spoke as Eimi blinked away her tears.
"Huh? G-genichiro?" She spoke, her voice wavering a bit as she watched Genichiro sadly look at her.
"You were lost in thought, dear." He answered and the woman sighed.
"Sorry. I was too focused on the past. I can't change things." She spoke as she frowned to herself. Genichiro then softly smiled as he revealed flowers to her, making his lovely wife laugh at him. "Honey!" She spoke as the man smiled widely at her.
"For the most beautiful woman I've ever met." He spoke as he let her touch the flowers. Eimi's eyes glistened with tears but they were happy tears as she hugged Genichiro. The man hugged her back as he placed the flowers on the counter. He was happy that he was able to distract her from the past as he hated that it hurt so much but he knew that nothing could be done unless Eimi admits to the world that she was once Saint Lucifer and he knew that she wasn't going to do that. It would put all of them in danger and even the people closest to Meimi and he didn't want anything to happen to their daughter and her friends.
That night, Eimi tossed and turned in bed before she finally forced herself up with a gasp. Covering her mouth, she turned to look at Genichiro and she sighed in relief. Still sleeping. She thought as she pulled herself out of bed. She then looked at the time and she groaned. It's only 3am. I need to get some fresh air. The woman thought as she walked out of the bedroom and out of the house silently as she wanted the morning air to dry her tears. Eimi smiled as she felt the gentle breeze hit her face as she felt her tears go away. "Rosemary." She muttered the name of her rival.
She wondered how the woman was living. She just wanted to know if the woman was alive! She hasn't heard from her in so long and Eimi just wanted to know if the woman was okay. Eimi then scoffed, cursing her niceness, knowing that Rosemary was the type of person that deserved to rot in Hell. Eimi frowned at that thought as she prayed to God for forgiveness. She shouldn't have been that harsh with her thoughts as she knew that people could change. She did change herself, after all.
She changed the moment she met Genichiro. The man didn't dare give her location to the police as he fixed up her wound and made her fall in love with his charming personality. Eimi knew that she would have ended up like Rosemary if Genichiro didn't show her the kindness that he did on that fateful night.
Eimi smiled to herself as she was glad that she could make Mimori Seira smile over the same story she told Meimi, which was something watered down and without the stealing portion. She knew that Meimi would just play along for Seira's innocence but she also knew Meimi found it romantic as well, even though Eimi had a speculation that Meimi knew something about her past. It was just that Seira had a much more innocent definition and she did not want to ruin that. She knew that Meimi would kill her if she dared but Eimi wasn't that evil but it did make her smile that Seira thought that they had fallen in love at first sight.
Eimi found it cute that Seira was such a secret romantic when she was around them but she also found it funny that Seira couldn't see that two of her and Meimi's classmates had crushes on her. Eimi found it cute that the girl was just so oblivious to things like people having crushes on her but the moment Daiki Asuka shows interest in Meimi, she hops all on that. She remembered when Meimi had first told her about how oblivious her best friend was and Eimi made Meimi promise that she would protect her. "Of course, I would protect her. She's my best friend." Meimi promised to her and it made Eimi smile every time she thought about it. She committed the promise to memory and she made sure that Meimi never forgot about it, less the girl actually incur her mother's wrath but Eimi knew that Meimi would never purposely forget about her promise; she just knew that no one had the heart to hurt such an innocent little girl.
