REBORN

In the spring Brienne is enrolled in Junior High at Falton High School. By the second month she has a boyfriend named Fred. Brienne turns sixteen in March. A pizza party is held for her and all of Brienne's friends. Brienne gets all A's that semester. At the beginning of summer she gets a part time job at the mall in the food court.

"So do you like it?" Her mother asks.

"Yeah, the manager is nice and Fred works at the shoe store." She replies, a month passes and Brienne waits for Fred to pick her up on their off day to go to the movies. He never shows up.

The phone rings, "I'm so sorry…" Luanne says after getting off the phone.

"What?"

"Fred is missing."

"What?" Brienne asks in shock.

"His parents say he went out to wash his car and never came back."

Brienne helps to put out flyers of Fred. In fact over the last few months people have gone missing starting with a boy named Riley Biers. It is the month of July and Brienne is leaving for home. She walks through the parking lot on her way to the bus stop when something runs past her out of the corner of her eye. "Hello! Is someone there?"

She screams as something shoves her to the ground, then she feels this sharp pain on her arm. "Ouch!" Suddenly Brianne's arm is on fire and the pain spreads throughout her body. The pain is so great she passes out. When she awakens Bree is leaning against a trash ben. Her vision is enhanced, she can see for miles around. Her hearing and other senses are amplified as well.

"Hello newborn."

"You…You're Riley…Riley Biers…"

"And who are you?"

"Brien….Bree my name is Bree…" She tries to swallow as a great craving comes on her. "What is wrong with me?"

"You are thirsty…" He runs off at a speed Bree did not think was possible for a human being, but slowly Bree got the feeling that she wasn't human anymore. As fast as he left, just as fast he returns with a man. He is bleeding. "Drink up." Riley commands.

Unable to help herself Bree pounces on the man like a lion and bites into his neck. Another young man runs over trying to get a taste. Riley strikes him and goes flying into a parked car. When she is done Bree looks at Riley, "What have you done to me?"

He smiles, "Welcome to the army."

Bree keeps away from the other Vampires. Many of whom destroy public property and hunt in packs. She wants to leave, but if she does, she is afraid of what she will do and to whom. If the sun comes out the Vampires hide in an abandoned warehouse. They been told that sunlight will kill them. "Brienne!"

"Stay away from me!"

"Its me Fred!"

"Fred!" They hug. He has red eyes like Bree.

"They got you too huh?" When night falls Bree and Fred sit on the edge of the roof of an abandoned building. "Don't repeat this…But that sunlight shit is bullshit…"

"What do you mean?"

"A boy named Cody went out during sunlight and he didn't die…He confronted Riley about it and they killed him."

"Who is they?" Bree asks.

"Riley's Bitch…Her name is Victoria…She's running the show…Don't repeat any of that. They'll kill you."

"Why lie?"

"Don't know."

"I have something to tell you." She tells him her real name and about her abusive father. She and Fred become Mates, but their time together is short lived.

"It is time." Riley says after gathering everyone together four days later. He passes around a shirt with a human's scent on it. They are meant to kill this human. They all walk to the water and start swimming towards Forks. When they emerge from the water they start running through the woods. They immediately pick up their prey's scent as they run at inhuman speed through the woods.

When they arrive six Vampires are waiting for them. As the fight starts Bree hangs back and watches as these huge wolves join the fight. She finds their smell repulsive. She watches as Fred dies at the hands of a Black wolf. Bree circles around through the trees looking for the scent of the female they were given. She is not here.

Just as Bree gets the courage to strike she is confronted by two Vampires whose smell is all over each other. Bree figures that the two are mates. "Please! Please don't hurt me…I surrender." They spare her life and offer Bree sanctuary. The battle is over and they are joined by another Vampire and the woman whose scent had been passed around. They pile the broken Vampire bodies up and burn them.

"They're coming! Hurry!" A Vampire named Alice warns.

"Stay behind us and say nothing." Carlisle the leader of the Cullens says.

Four new Vampires appear, three men and one woman. The Cullens seem to fear these new comers. "It seems we have missed quit the battle." The Blonde Vampire says.

"We were lucky." Carlisle respectfully replies.

"I doubt that. This has never happened before. When the Vultori's services were rendered unnecessary."

"Had you been here you might have fulfilled your purpose."

"Edward, I am sure that had Jane known of Victoria's activities she would have stopped her. Isn't that right Jane."

Jane smiles and looks at Bree, who flinches, "I see you missed one.
Even though Bree had just learned their names she could remember them all. Jasper walks over to her as if to protect her. "We offered her sanctuary in exchange for her surrender."

"Sanctuary is not yours to offer." Jane coldly replies. She looks at Bree and this great pain comes over her. She falls to her knees thinking about her home and her mother. She hits the ground screaming. "Who created you?"

"You don't have to do that? She will tell you whatever you want to know." Esme says pleading.

"I know…"

"Please…I don't know…Fred said it was someone named Victoria. He also said our thoughts could not be trusted." Bree struggles to say as she gets to her knees.

Jane sighs bored with the whole situation, "Felix take care of that."

"No wait…" Carlisle says.

"You don't have to kill her…" Esme says adding her voice. "We'll take responsibility for her."

"Give her a chance."

Hope wells up in Bree as Carlisle and Esme plead for her life. That hope is dashed to pieces when Jane replies. "The Volturi do not give second chances…Something to remember. Aro will be interested to know that the girl is still human."

"A date has been set…The time chosen." Bella responds holding Edward.

"See that it is done." Jane looks at Felix, "Take care of that…I want to go home."

Bree is still tired from the pain inflicted on her by Jane. "Please…No! Please!" As the towering Vampire stalks toward her all Bree can think of is her mother and their home. "Mother!" She yells. Just before Felix grabs her Bree vanishes.

Felix stops looking this way and that way, with his enhanced sight. "Seems we have a teleporter on our hands." Jane says.

"Aro would find a gift like that very useful." Carlisle says.

Jane looks at him, "It seems she gets a second chance after all." She turns to Demetri, "Find her." He runs off, "Felix return and report to Aro…" She looks at Carlisle, "If that girl comes back or contacts you…You will tell us."

"Of course Jane."
