To those who are reading, want to put out that the first part of this chapter takes place a few days before the attack on the Moonlands pride.

Nala woke up with a dull look in her green eyes. It's been a few days since her little sister was attacked. But today her father was going to teach her how to fight. With a small smile the cream cub got up and walked out of her family's private cave. Where she walked over to the water hole to get a morning drink.

As the cub was lapping up the cool liquid her ears twitched at the sound of someone stepping on grass. She raised her head as her ears pinned against her head.

"Who's there?"

A dark chuckle echoed through the air before Tamaa made herself known. "Don't fret my dear. I only wish to talk."

Nala looked unsure. "About what?"

Tamaa smiled as she circled the cream cub. "Your parenting of course."

Nala titled her head which made the dull tan lioness laughed.

"My dear you been lied to your whole life. Mufasa is not your father."

Nala frowned. "Of course he is!"

Tamaa shook her head. "Haven't you ever wonder that you that you don't have your father's eyes?"

"My uncle and grandma have green eyes!"

"What about the red in your fur? Hmm?"

Nala looked at herself and seen her fur was a mix of red and what was once mainly cream was now tawny which was understandable considering that Sarafina was related but it was the hint of red in her now tawny pelt that got her wondering.

Nala looked at the lioness with confused green eyes. "Who's my father then?"

"I am. My sweet child."

Tamaa smiled widely as the cub looked at the large dark red lion that came. Nala's eyes widen at the sight of the lion. But couldn't deney the fact that the lion was her father as she looked into his green eyes that mirrored her own.

"Now. I need your help to make Scar see Kovu is a better choice as heir. All you have to do is continue befriending the prince." Jicho instructed.

Tamaa smiled down as she purred with satisfaction. "If you succeed. You will be rewarded the spot as queen next to Kovu."

Nala nodded. After getting a nuzzle from her father, the tawny cub headed towards the hunting field her mother was.

~O~

"Scar!"

Scar looked from the attack to see his mate with Sarabi and Sarafina. After the queen lost her cub, Queen Adela patched up her relationship she had with her sister and cousin.

"What are you doing!?" Sarabi growled along with Sarafina.

Sarabi stood by a badly injured Mufasa. Tears falling from her orange eyes but she still managed to continue to growl at her brother-in-law.

Adela looked from her sister and brother-in-law to her mate. "Scar! What's gotten into you?"

Scar smiled. "It's time for all the males to be taken out."

Sarafina snarled. "You can't be serious!"

Scar narrowed his eyes as he snarled. "Deadly!"

Mufasa coughed before glaring at his brother. "Let me take the males. At least give us something to die on?"

Scar looked at his brother before commanding the hyenas away.

"I think that's possible. Go gathered the male cubs and be gone by night fall."

With a lash of his tail, the king walked into the cave. Sarabi looked from her mate to her sister.

"Adela...don't just stand there!"

Adela lowered her head. "There's nothing we can do. All the male cubs must go besides Kovu. He's still the king's son."

Sarafina snarled before looking at the golden lion. "I'll talk to the cubs mothers. We'll meet up by the water hole."

Sarabi had tears in her eyes as she helped her mate up and down the stone slope towards the watering hole.

~O~

Sarabi and Mufasa made it to the watering hole where the male cubs was there with their mothers. Kiara ran over to her father with tears in her eyes.

"Daddy!"

Mufasa winched at the pain. But hugged his daughter spite the pain. He then looked from his daughter to see the male cubs saying their goodbyes.

Eshe nuzzled her son before looking at the gold pelted friend. "Please take care of my son, Mufasa."

Mufasa stood up and nodded before heading towards the direction of the desert. The male cubs following with heavy hearts.
