Miranda woke up feeling fresh and energized from the night before because she spent it with her new boyfriend Benjamin warren they didn't do anything crazy they just sat up all night talking and getting to know each other better as they were only dating for a month, Miranda rolled out off bed and headed to her bathroom to take a nice warm shower and when she was finished she realized she had a little time to make breakfast for herself something she's never done before. Enjoying her breakfast she called her ex-husband Tucker to check on their son William a.k.a Tuck she talked to him for awhile and told him she'll see him later when she got off the phone she went to wash the little bit of dishes that she'd used and headed to the hospital she was an amazing general surgeon at Seattle Grace Hospital when she walked into the doors of the hospital she felt that today was going to be an amazing day, she went to her locker and changed into her scrubs and was greeted with a "hey" form her best friend Callie Torres she was an "Ortho goddess" as she put it.
"Hey wassup" Miranda said looking up at her
"So tell me about last night how did it go? What did y'all do? Was clothes on or off?" Callie said with her eyes popped out of her head. Miranda looked at her shaking her head and laughed
"We didn't do anything but talk and got to know each other better god we have only been together one month" she said laughing
"Mmcht well did you at least get a kiss?" Callie said in disappointment
"Yes" Miranda said closing her locker and walking away. She started on her rounds her day was going by smoothly just like she thought it on her lunch she got a call her face lit up when she saw who it was "Hello" she said with a big smile on her face
"Hey beautiful,I was just calling to see if we were still on for tonight?" Ben asked "Oh shoot I forgot to tell you tonight Is my night with my son I'm sorry can we reschedule?" She asked Ben told her they could reschedule and that he would see her later hanging up on her.Miranda not thinking about what he said at the of the call she finally realized what he said but she pushed it to the back of her mind as she got a text from Tucker
Tucker: I'm going to drop lil man off at the daycare at the hospital something came up
Miranda rolled her eyes and just simply said "okay" and went on with the rest of her day, as her day was reaching the end she changed back into her clothes and went to pick up Tuck from daycare he was getting big she thought as she picked up the 3 year old and placing him on her hip and kissing his forehead "how was your day big man?" she asked Tuck kissing his cheek "Good" he said laughing a little "what do think we should eat tonight baby tacos or chicken nuggets and fries?" She asked looking at him through the mirror she saw as he put a huge smile on his face before saying "shicken nuggets and fries please mommy!!!" She laughed at how he said "chicken" and told him they we're gonna stop for some. When they got home she gave him a quick bath and put on his pajamas before eating so that when he was finished he would be ready for bed, they sat in the living room watching his favorite movie "Scooby-Doo" when the movie was over she looked over to see that Tuck was dozing off "right on time" she whispered to herself.when she put Tuck in bed she kissed his head and said a night prayer for him when she went back down stairs she heard a knock at the door she cut on her porch light and looked out the peephole "Tucker" she said as she opened the door he stumbled in "Tucker what are you doing here? Are you drunk? Did you drive here?" She looked at him waiting for answers "I'm...a grown..ass man Miranda I can do whatever I want" he said stuttering and stumbling a little
"well "grown ass man" why are you here at my house?" Miranda asked
"You're house? Haha this used to be our house until you went and fucked up our marriage and not being a good mother" he yelled "first off keep your damn voice down I got neighbors and Tuck is asleep upstairs, and second I didn't mess up our marriage you did when you cheated on me and than you gave me an ultimatum to choose between my job and my family, well excuse me if I didn't want to be in a relationship where my husband goes around fucking anything that can walk" she said getting angry
"what did you just say to me?" Tucker said getting closer to her
"you heard me"
" what?" Tucker said yelling pushing her on the couch getting on top of her holding her arms down yelling in her face
"get off of me you're hurting me" she screamed with tears running done her face for some reason she thought this was it she thought she was going to die by the hands of her drunk ex-husband with her son just right up the stairs, but before she knew it someone pulled Tucker off of her she looked and say that it was Ben she saw fire in his eyes as he climbed on top of Tucker punching him over and over and over again she was scared that if he didn't stop he was going to kill him " Stop Ben stop please" she said screaming and crying but he didn't stop so she decided to try and pull him off of Tucker but when she got close Ben accidentally elbowed her in the face "Mommy" Tuck screamed scared and crying as he say Ben hit her the sound of Tuck's voice snapped Ben out of it and he realized that he'd hit Miranda and was beating Tucker's ass in front of Tuck, Tuck ran to Miranda crying and jumping into her arms as she got up holding him she was crying Ben got up off of Tucker and just looked at Miranda with sadness and tears in his eyes he didn't mean to hit her it was an accident and he tried to walk to but was stopped by the front door being kicked down by the police "don't move!!" The officer said looking around seeing Tucker on the floor they called in for an ambulance "somebody tell me what's going on we got a call from your neighbor's saying they heard yelling, screaming and crying what happened?" The police said "He hit mommy and daddy" Tucker said quickly pointing at Ben "No baby" Miranda said pushing his finger down "Ma'am is this true did he hit you?" Miranda looked up at the officer and when he saw her face they other officer arrested Ben not letting her say anything as they saw her black eye "Wait I didn't not anything wrong Miranda tel-" he stopped talking as he saw how fast her eye turned black "Miranda baby please tell them I didn't mean to do that" he said with tears falling down his face "take him out of here" the officer said the other officer followed directions and took Ben out the house in handcuffs " wait no please he really didn't mean to do this I promise" Miranda said still holding her crying son and tears ran down her face "ma'am please don't try and protect this man if he is beating on you we can help you" " he's not beating on me he would never do that" she said she told the police officer everything that happened and the officer didn't want to believe her as he thought she was in an abusive relationship but he say that she was telling the truth "Okay ma'am but we still have to arrest him for what he did to your ex-husband" the ambulance came and they checked on Miranda's eye and than took Tucker to the hospital they told her that he might need a little stitches before they left the officers told her if she needed anything to not hesitate to call and told her to have a good night a few minutes after they left Miranda texted Callie and told her what happened ten minutes after sending the message there was a fast knocking on her front door "It's me open the door" she heard and knew it was Callie Miranda opened the door and Callie quickly pulled her into her arms "Omg are you okay?" Callie asked all Miranda could do was cry Callie walked in seeing a sleeping Tuck on the couch Miranda finally got him to calm down and fall back to sleep Callie picked him up taking him to his room when she came back down stairs she say Miranda's eye "oh honey I'm so sorry" she said hugging her again Callie went into the kitchen and got Miranda an ice pack for her eye and they went upstairs and talked about it and how she should go about it and what should happened after that they fell asleep
