Alastor closed the door to his room and leaned against it sighing, the meeting with Charlie had been long and tedious, he had longed to watch Angels reaction in person and to tell him just how much he had grown to love the Spider. Once Angel had told him the story about his mother and the garden he began to see his arachnid friend in a different light, no longer was Angel Dust just a salacious whore. No he had become more well rounded in Alastors mind, he saw past the façade and crude jokes. He knew that Angel had become unhappy in the last forty odd years since working under the Overlord Valentino, things that Angel had once enjoyed immensely had now become a mundane chore. He remembered going into his companions room one day for a wellness check and finding Angels box of debauchery, at first he was disgusted but then his curiosity rose when he had noticed that the tag that had once read 'fun stuff' was now crossed out and replaced with 'work stuff.' He never thought to bring it up with Angel, he didn't want to upset him too much. No now he noticed all the little things that made the true Angel shine, He loved to cook, garden, pull pranks, he also had a fierce love for animals as often shown by how he spoiled his pig Nuggets and oddly enough he absolutely loved children. It didn't take very long for Alastor to fall hard and fast for him, the thought originally scaring him and catching him off guard. He avidly wanted to avoid Angel at all costs after that point, and for the first few days made sure to disappear as soon as he had felt the others presence coming his way.
This didn't last long however as Angel had come home after a particularly rough night at work and was in need of some urgent medical attention, Alastor had been the only one up at the time and could smell the blood on him quickly rushing to his side before he collapsed in his arms. That day both freed him and damned him at the same time, it cemented his feelings for the spider. He planned out this whole romantic gesture to show him how much he had come to mean something to the deer demon, cutting flowers from the hotels own expansive garden and neatly arranging them into a vase with the help of Rosie. Once the time had finally come however of course he had to be pulled into a meeting with Charlie, he quickly teleported himself into the room and set the vase down on the dressing table before leaving his shadow to watch what happened for him and went back to the meeting smile faltering slightly for a moment. He would see everything that his shadow did as it was an extension of himself, but he wondered if Angel would get the message and be able to figure out that it was him who had sent the beautiful bouquet.
Alastor continued to sit there lost within his thoughts with only the faint ticking of the clock and radio static filling the air, he had no Idea how much time had past between the meeting and now. Standing up from his chair he smoothed out any creases that had appeared on his coat and walked out into the hall way, to the left of his door was Angel sitting slumped against the wall fast asleep. In his right hand was a lavish hand tied bouquet of fifty white and pink roses, eternal love if Alastor remembered correctly. He felt his smile soften into something more genuine and gently touched his shoulder to gently wake Angel form his sleep, his eyes fluttering open and a small smile tugged at the corners of his mouth causing Alastors heart to skip a beat or two before he cleared his throat to speak. "Angel, why were you sleeping next to my door and clutching a bouquet no less." Alastor feigned ignorance wanting to allow Angel to come out and say it on his own. "Uh hey Al, I uh was just on my way to see you, I got the flowers you sent me and I just wanted to say thank you. No fella has ever done anything like that for me in the past, I can't believe you remembered and even took the time to look up the meanings of the flowers! It was to thoughtful." Angel blushed and rambled on clearly getting nervous, Alastor let out a chuckle finding it endearing to see the normally confident Angel Dust reduced to a bundle of quaking nerves over something as simple as a love confession.
"Angel think nothing of it my dear now how about we step inside my room where we have a bit more privacy, we can talk more in there." Alastor wrapped one arm across Angels back and lead him into his room and moved over to his bed while Angel sat next to him fidgeting with the bouquet before handing them to Al with a simple comment of them being for him, Alastor snapped his fingers and they appeared in a similar vase as to the one in Angels room on his bed side table. "Well now my dear now that we have that out of the way I believe we have a few things to talk about now don't we?" Alastor asked inching closer towards his companion taking one of his lower hands into his. "Yeah I suppose we do Smiles, so did you mean what you said when you sent those flowers to my room earlier today? Do you actually have some form of feelings for me, or is this just another one of your games for your own entertainment? I don't want to be just another persons plaything Alastor so if this is just a game to you tell me now." Angel warned. "Mon Ange despite my reputation as a great radio host and am usually much more eloquent with my words I always have found myself unable to properly open up about my feelings in words. Plus I find that talk is cheap, its one thing to say it but another thing entirely to show it. Now normally I abhor any form of physical contact with other demons but in this case I will make an exception. While I can assure you this isn't a game it may take some time for me to be able to say my feelings out loud." His voice getting quieter as he continued to speak before he grabbed the back of Angels head pulling him down and kissed him passionately pouring all of the feelings he could not yet bring himself to say.
