"En guard!" Undyne yelled. With a swipe of her spear, she turned Peter's SOUL green.

"How do I resolve this..." Peter wondered.

"The green just means you can't move!" Undyne assumed he was asking her. "And until you learn to face danger head on, you won't last a second against me!"

Chara thought as Peter blocked spears. "Part of the problem was that she'll never give up... What if you use the ability to move to run away!"

"You can do that?" Peter asked, flipping the staff.

"Yeah! You've just never needed too! Wait til she turns you red!"

"For years, we've dreamed of life on the surface." Undyne spoke with a hint of sadness. "And now, sunlight is just within our reach! And I wont let you stand in our way!"

She crowed and flipped her spear. "Now enough warming up!"

She flipped his SOUL back to red.

"NOW!" Chara yelled.

Using his web shooter, Peter launched a web at the nearby rock face and pulled himself from the fight. The world returned to normal, and Undyne spun around in surprise. She ran, and despite Peter being fast, she leapt forward and caught him once more in a fight.

"Hah, it worked!" Chara exclaimed.

"You won't get away from me this time!" She yelled, returning his SOUL to green.

"Says you!" Peter said with a wink, catching the staff she threw at him. "En guard, sushi."

She growled, and the spear volley began again. "Honestly, I'm doing you a favor! Even if I spared you, no human has ever gotten past Asgore!"

"Guess I'll have to be the first!" Peter repeated, spinning his staff. He was beginning to get the hang of this, and so far the Nice-cream in his pocket remained unwrapped.

"Killing you now is an act of mercy!" She yelled. "So stop. Being. So. Resilient!" She fired more and more spears, but Peter was able to block most of them. She turned his SOUL red again.

"Later." He winked and webbed out as fast as he could. But she was ready this time, and quickly caught up.

"You've escaped me for the LAST TIME!" She yelled, freezing him in place. "Alphys told me humans were determined... I see now what she meant by that! But I'm determined too! Determined to end this RIGHT NOW!" Undyne launched more spears.

Peter blocked them with a grin. "You're outta tricks, fish-sticks. Heh, rhyme. I'm on a roll! Think we can talk now?"

"NEVER! I"M GOING TO DESTROY YOU... RIGHT NOW!" She yelled again. Peter kept blocking.

"... RIGHT...NOW!" She screamed. The spears came in faster. Peter, relying on his spider-sense, blocked them with ease and a wink.

Undyne began to laugh, then she screamed in frustration. "DIE ALREADY, YOU LITTLE BRAT!"

"Not today! I did that twice already!" Peter exclaimed, thwipping a web line and escaping the fight. A few steps, and his phone rang. He slid to a halt, and Undyne did the same.

"HEY! WHAT'S UP!?" Papyrus cheerfully exclaimed.

"Uh, quite a bit, actually," Peter replied, nervous. "Why?"

"I WAS JUST THINKING... YOU, ME, AND UNDYNE SHOULD ALL HANG OUT SOMETIME!"

"Great idea when she's not trying to impale me!"

"NONSENSE, I THINK YOU WOULD MAKE GREAT PALS! LET'S MEET UP AT HER HOUSE LATER!"

"Where's that!" Peter yelled, but Papyrus had hung up. Thinking fast, he kept running. A nearby sign welcomes him to Hotland, but he didn't even register it, as Undyne caught up a second later.

"STOP RUNNING AWAY!" She yelled, engaging a FIGHT. She was too distracted to turn his SOUL green. Peter noticed this.

Peter thwipped his web-shooter. "The spider that fights then runs away, lives to fight another day!" He winked and flew out of the FIGHT.

He went to swing to escape faster, but his other webshooter pooped out. So, he tried to run on foot, til he saw Sans manning a sentry station nearby. Of course, he was fast asleep.

"SANS! Buddy, a bit of help here!" He yelled.

Undyne noticed him too. "SANS! Help me capture this human you slacker!"

She went to get his help, giving Peter time to cross a bridge over some lava and into Hotland. A few moments later, Undyne limped after him.

"Armor... so... hot..." She panted. "But I can't... give up..." She collapsed onto the bridge.

"Good luck being a fish monster in plate armor next to literal lava." Chara noted. "Now c'mon, let's go."

Peter looked at Undyne. "We can't just let her die of heatstroke!"

"Yeah, we can. She tried to kill you." Chara thought for a moment. "Heck, she succeeded!"

Peter shook his head. Doing so allowed him to notice a water cooler. Thinking for a moment, he got a cup of water and walked over to Undyne.

"Peter, think what you're doing!" Chara yelled.

Peter ignored her and poured the water onto Undyne. She got up and stared at him. Looking left and right as if to see if anyone saw that, she gave him a surprised look and backed away without a word, leaving Peter and Chara alone in the room.
