A/N: Thanks for the reviews. If for some reason you're not able to review because one of my readers said it happened to them on my 50 shades story the other night and you'd like to review (which I'm hoping you still would), and you can't because of your username for some reason, do it under 'guest' but put your username in the review part. I know that sounds silly, but it's the only thing I can think of. I contacted someone on fanfic. Hopefully they respond.

A/N #2 ***PLEASE READ***: FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE NOT READ THIS CHAPTER YET OR REVIEWED, PLEASE DO BOTH IF YOU CAN. I JUST NOTICED THAT CHAPTER 4 IS BEING SHOWN ON THE SITE (EVEN THO WHEN YOU CLICK ON THE CHAPTER IT STILL SAYS 'CAN'T BE SHOWN') SO I'M GOING TO TRY RELOAD IT. IF IT WORKS AND THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE ALWAYS BEEN FAITHFUL IN REVIEWING, PLEASE CONSIDER REVIEWING AS I LOVE HEARING YOUR THOUGHTS AND I WANT TO KNOW IF THE UPLOAD WORKED. I WON'T KNOW IF IT WORKS UNLESS YOU REVIEW. IF I DO GET YOUR REVIEW AND I KNOW IT WORKS, THEN I'LL KNOW I CAN CONTINUE POSTING THE REST OF THIS STORY. BUT, IT DEPENDS ON YOU MY READERS. THANK YOU. LIKE I STATED ABOVE, IF YOU ARE LOGGED IN AND THE SITE WON'T LET YOU REVIEW, PLEASE DO SO AS 'GUEST' AND PUT YOUR USERNAME IN IT SO I KNOW WHO TO THANK IN THE PM BOX.

Title: Never Giving Up

Chapter 4

(It had been two weeks since Jason revealed his true identity. If anything, time went by faster. Elizabeth preoccupied herself with extra shifts at the hospital and spent the weekends with the boys at the park. Laura was a godsend and watched the boys while she worked; it didn't hurt that Laura became a very welcoming fixture in the Webber household – with the fact that Helena lived at Wyndemere. Epiphany didn't like the idea of Elizabeth working so much since it happened, but Sabrina and Felix backed her up. They were truly amazing friends. Monica was once again civil towards her these days which could count as a plus)

(Elizabeth quietly sighed as she carefully typed the patient's information into the computer database when she heard someone clear their throat. She glances away as she hit enter and saw Carly standing before her. She should have seen this coming – she hadn't seen Carly in that time span, she wasn't so lucky after all)

"Hello, Carly. What can I help you with?" Elizabeth politely questioned as she closed the medical file and set it aside. She knew Epiphany was on the opposite side of the station and would be listening if need be.

Carly slowly counted to ten as she heard Elizabeth's question and gave a small smile. "I was just dropping by, actually." It shouldn't be that hard talking to Muffin, but she was always on edge around the nurse.

Epiphany: "I suggest you and Mrs. Corinthos find somewhere else to discuss your personal matters. Take a ten-minute break, Nurse Webber."

(Elizabeth winced when she heard Epiphany's voice, but complied and left the nurse's station with Carly following. They took a seat on the bench that wasn't that far away from the station. It seemed like everyone was using it for conversations)

Carly: "I just wanted to say thank you for everything you did for Jason."

Elizabeth didn't reply as she watched Carly walk away from her. She never thought she'd hear 'thank you' from her. She spoke so quickly without thinking, "Carly, do you want to get some lunch?"

Carly stopped on her heel when she heard Muffin's words and with a sigh she turned around, "Metro Court at 11:30?" It wouldn't be too dreadful to have a simple lunch with the girl who saved Jason, again.

"Sure, I'll see you then." Elizabeth replied as Carly waited for the brunette to hurry up. She didn't have all day and gave a small smile when she heard her reply.

"Who knew Laura Spencer would run after receiving a house guest?" Laura heard behind her as she looked through the books on the bookcase. She sighed with relief as she found what she was looking for and ignored the Ice Queen's comment. She was shocked, to say the least, when she arrived home to find Helena in the living room with a drinking Nikolas. She already had the intent to stay with the boys when Mr. and Mrs. Doe left for the weekend. That fell through, so she arrived anyway as support and help.

"Helena." Laura lightly replied as she grasped the book tightly and turned around to see the old woman. She still looked the same and was calculating her with her cold hard eyes. Helena didn't reply and instead began to move towards the wet bar. "I should offer you a drink. You are the guest after all."

(Laura heard her snidely comment and decided to take her up on the offer – it could be dangerous. Laura placed the book down on the coffee table next to her purse as she reached the older woman. Helena smiled when she handed her the glass and Laura surpassed a shudder)

"Thank you," Laura said as she glanced down at the clear liquid before taking a sip – water. Helena didn't say anything as she watched Laura with interest; she found it amusing when she was around her enemies and did unquestionable things. Laura finished and placed the glass down as she glanced at the time before quickly grabbing her stuff and leaving; not another word muttered to Helena.

"You're welcome." Helena said as she brought her own glass towards her own lips as she heard the door close.

(Nikolas enlisted Sam's help in finding what he needed to know about his grandmother. She had been reluctant to help but after mentioning Spencer's name she agreed. He was currently listening to what she had to say before getting up and walking around the Drake home. Patrick was out with Danny and Emma for the time being. Jason had taken off to "find himself" two days ago)

"Did he tell Elizabeth or was it spontaneous." Nikolas said as he stopped to look at a picture of the Drake/Morgan family. Sam sighed when she heard Nikolas. She was waiting for him to bring that up.

"He did inform Elizabeth and gave her a number to reach him at." Sam replied as she laid down some post it notes on the coffee table. It had been an adjustment after Jason was revealed to be alive. They talked about the past, present, and future. They didn't reach a conclusion before he took off, but it was getting there.

(Nikolas didn't reply and made a note to have someone look into it. Sam took that as the go ahead to continue to make the timeline while Nikolas fawned at her methods, but didn't question. He was curious what Helena had planned. For some reason that he couldn't figure out, he got the impression that Sam knew more than what she was saying. He needed to find out what that was in order to protect Elizabeth)
