I was never alone in the Avengers tower, there always at least one guard, and often Tony, with me, which only heightened my anxiety since Tony wouldn't tell me what they were going to do with me. Or what they had already done to Eddie.

"You okay kid? You've barely touched your food." I looked to Stark who always had bags under his eyes and his skin seemed to be becoming paler every day.

"I want to see Eddie." He looked up from his food.

"We've been over this."

"It's been four weeks, please just let me see him." Tony sighed and put his fork down, standing from the table slowly.

"Fine, you can see him. You can't go in there with him though, it's not safe."

"Yes Mr. Stark." The screeches that Eddie and Venom used to let out frequently had died down in the past week and I was worried about what I would find. Eddie was a strong person, and Venom only made him stronger, but there's only so much a person can take. Tony stopped before the elevator which opened to show a guard waiting for me.

"He'll take you down." I nodded and stepped inside. He pressed the button for the basement and the elevator began to move.

Tony's high-tech elevator reached its destination in record time and we both stepped out to see heavy glass doors covering a white room with a glass cube in the middle. Eddie's figure could just be seen inside the cube, but he seemed smaller than I had ever seen him. The guard opened the doors and let me inside. I walked hesitantly towards the cube, crouching down next to the corner where Eddied had propped himself up. He looked over to me, but his eyes seemed blurred, and his skin was pale and sweaty. There were bags under his eyes and his clothes suddenly looked too big on him as he sunk into himself. He put his palm up and I placed mine on his, wanting to feel the warmth of skin but only meeting the cool glass.

"I'm so sorry Eddie, I'm so sorry." Tears were quickly cascading down my cheeks as he looked at me blankly, too weak to form any emotions. I don't know how long I sat like that for, letting all of my emotions after everything was cast onto me at once, but he just sat silently near me. Eventually once I had calmed down, he looked up to a small vent at the top of the cube. Confused I met his eyes again.

"Take him." I could barely hear him when he spoke.

"He can't survive without a host." A small piece of black goo emerged from underneath his hoodie and slithered up his neck, brushing his cheek on the way past and making its way up the glass to the small vent.

"Hey!" The guard must have noticed, and the goo fell down on top of me, landing on my shoulder and spreading across my body. I fell to my knees as it spread, covering every fiber of my being and the familiar screeching began again but I could barely tell that I was the one making the sound. I could feel myself becoming restructured as the symbiote overtook my senses and the black goos began to sink through to my bloodstream. I could hear everything happening, I could hear all three heartbeats and the creaking of the door as it moved slightly, and the sweat on Eddies skin as it dripped down onto the fabric of his clothes. I could smell old cells decaying while still attached to their people and see every speck of dust hanging in the air. My senses were overpowering me, and I didn't register throwing the guard to the wall or that I was suddenly taller and stronger with claws instead of fingers, or that my range of vision had increased on every side.

"It's good to see you, old friend." The voice seemed to come from inside my head as my senses settled enough for me to see Eddie with his eyes closed.

"We need to get him out of here Peter." A force seemed to pull my fist and up and shatter the glass containing the almost lifeless man before us. We picked him and put him on our shoulder before running to the door.

"Take the stairs." I did as he said and turned left to the staircase instead, using my arm that wasn't holding Eddie to help go up, ten steps at a time. We reached the top and found six guards in front of us.

"Kill them."

"We can't do that!" They pulled out their guns and started to aim at us.

"I'll do it for you then" Venom covered my vision and I tried to hold back my scream as I felt myself move without knowing what we were doing. He uncovered my eyes and I found that we were headed towards a window.

"What are you doing!?"

"Shortcut." Shoulder first we smashed through the glass and began to sink our claws into a nearby building, climbing up and ignoring the bricks falling below us.

"You've changed Peter."

"How do you know me?"

"We've bonded before, and unlike everybody else I don't have to tell you your history, I can show you."

"What are you talking about?" I tried to ignore that we were now swinging between buildings at unimaginable heights and instead focused on the conversation and let Venom take the physical lead.

"We share a body now Peter. My memories are your memories." After a while he pulled us through a window into a vacant apartment. We placed Eddie on the bed and removed his hoodie, trying to get him to cool down.

"You need to bond with him again."

"Unfortunately, he's too far gone, bonding again will only kill me too. There's not much we can do for him now" I let out a defeated sigh and sat on the bed next to him, feeling it sag underneath the symbiotes weight. Noticing the creaking from the bed it receded back into my skin.

"When are you going to show me my memories?"

"Soon, but we need to go get resources."
